I had several issues with my car that I needed looked at, and even though they were really busy, they were able to get me in right away. They took time to listen to me and explain what was wrong. I feel like theyre honest about what needs to be done, charge a fair price for their work, and they do a good job in a reasonable amount of time. I will definitely be returning and would recommend them based on my experience.

In my single-vehicle household, there is no back-up plan when the car is out of commission, so when I walked out of work to discover a flat tire, I was nothing short of panicked. Even though it was after 5:30 PM, Jerry and Hubert were graciously willing to help me get back on the road. Their kindness was more than refreshing, as I am not known for having the best of luck with car repairs. In less than 20 minutes, my tire was patched, and I was on my way home, with a very stressful weight lifted from my shoulders. I was traveling from Iowa to Michigan and had to make an emergency stop off the highway. I stopped at Midas in Peru and was very pleasantly surprised with my service. I dealt with Jason Rob and Dave and they were wonderful. They made me feel like my issues were important to them at such a late time in the day. They were polite and courteous very informative and helpful. I made it home to Michigan safely. I would like to thank them especially Jason.

*UPDATE*I have spoken with the manager who was very gracious and offered me to come in today for an oil change and a free tire rotation next week. I appreciate the response!I gave Midas 2 stars based only on response. I’ve never been to this particular Midas so they may be excellent for all I know. But that’s the issue….I don’t know. On their website you can request an appointment and it clearly states that they will get back to you within 30 business minutes. I’ve sent a request 2 separate times to try and get my vehicle in for a 2 small issues. I have yet to receive an email or phone call.

Broke down headed home on labor day and had my car towed here while they were closed and the next morning Jerry followed up with me the next morning and was detailed, fair, honest, and quick. He replaced my alternator and battery and gave complementary oil change. Was able to go pick it up that day. Trustworthy and good work.

Jerry and Jason are the best- very kind and attentive. They got me in their shop the same day I noticed issues with my car, so fast service is an understatement! I gave them a call and they got me in within the hour. If you need your vehicle worked on, come here before scheduling with a dealership! They dont charge you crazy amounts, just genuine hard workers!

This place will try to rip you off. I was just told to never come back there and was called out of my name because the job was a $30 job as I was told. Since I asked for a receipt it cost an extra $9 for a piece of paper! I told Micheal the one who didnt do the job on my car but the one who complained about having to put everything in the computer so it charges taxes. Excuse me!? So if your doing under the table deals say that then! Last I checked it says tire service free. I got charged for the lug nuts I bought and cursed out by someone who didnt even do the job. They way too expensive to be doing business with anyways but a manager needs to do something about the way your employees take to paying customers. I am definitely wanting to report this man to to the highest authority there!

We were driving across the country when we heard a rattling sound on the brakes that needed prompt attention. We were at the mercy of whatever mechanic we sought out. Thankfully we found Midas. This mechanic really knew his stuff. Within an hour, he assessed and explained exactly what the problem was and it was a rather long and involved repair. Understanding that we needed to be on our way, he provided a temporary fix and we made it home to Massachusetts. I cant thank him enough. We really appreciated his time, expertise and integrity.

I had an unexpected issue with my front end and even though they closed in a half hour Joe got me in and took care of me right away! Not many places would be so understanding and attentive last minute. I would highly recommend this shop and would go back in a heartbeat if anything came up again. Jerry and Joe were more than professional went out of the way to make sure that my front end alignment got done correctly and in a good time manner I had took into two shops and had four alignments done within the past month and could not get in the line they were honest he brought me to the screen of the alignment machine showed me everything that was in spec and said explain what the other parties were doing and drove it down the road himself before he gave me the keys and also asked me to go take it down the road and make sure its driving straight now everything is fine after two shops and a couple hundred dollars later I have the problem fixed should have went here first thanks to Jerry and Joe

Had to have a new cv axle put on my car after I did some work on it and busted the boot. The one I had ordered wasnt the right part so I was luckily able to track one down at a near by parts store. One of the guys even offered to let me use his personal truck to get it since my car was already taken apart. Top of the line customer service. Had my brakes and suspension checked as well, they were very helpful with informing me of what repairs were needed.

The Peru Illinoiss Midas is outstanding in their willingness to help someone who is not from the area. They installed screws in my front grill to keep it in place at no charge to me. Now thats what I call fantastic service and a willingness to help someone in need of help. I am definitely going back next time I am in the area. I called Midas for my son traveling through IL from Nebraska with a car issue. I spoke with Brain on the phone about the problem and he told me to get him there and the issue would get it taken care of. Brain was not kidding. My son was back on the road within a few mins. We were in a pretty tough situation, the gas cap was stuck closed and the car was running low on fuel. I called to see if they had any openings and they took us in immediately, took out the broken cap, and told us where we could go to get a new one. They didnt even charge us for the fix!Whenever theres a problem with my or my girlfriends cars, this is the first place we go. The mechanics always very quick, kind, and professional.

Traveling from CO to MI for a death in the family. Got a flat in Peru, IL and wasn’t sure we could make the funeral. Jerry and the guys at Midas took care of me and had me back on the road in no time. Totally blessed me, went above and beyond the call of duty. Not only did they do a fast & good job, they were kind and compassionate. Never thought I’d have have a warm, fuzzy feeling about an car shop... but yeah.... these guys were that good.

In a time when u dont know where to go for help I was close to Midas in Peru but wasnt sure what was wrong with the vehicle. The car died on the way into Midas. So when I went into Midas I was very distraught not sure what was going on. Well Joseph the manager took hold of the situation assured me what needed done & how much gave me alternate choices which I could drive my car back home 20 miles revving the engine whole way. Something I might & did as kid but this car was my 95 yr old friends who does still drive. We talked of other places to go to all the while Joe was explaining all options. Most all the gentlemen there have been with Midas for over 3 yrs although not lifetime it is devotion. So with Joe spending over an hour with us he then told us he could save my 95 yr old friend money by ordering on line her part saving 200 some $ then he used his credit card bought the item then allowing us to write him a check. He went very far up above & beyond what he had to but he was there for us. We left the car he fixed it & checked for other problems. The car runs super. The air condition was seizing up the belt killing the car. Had to be done. Midas in Peru was an answer to r prayers thank you Joe & the other guys much my appreciate u all thank u again for helping a couple stranded women. Tricia

I was having tire issues on a road trip and stopped in. Was not on the schedule and they patched up my tire in a few minutes so I could get back on the road and at no cost. Jerry was so kind and helpful!

Driving home from colorado to detroit. Hit 2 deer in the middle of 280. Limped it to this midas location and met jerry in the bay door before they even opend. Radiator had a hole in my 19 grand cherokee. Of course as my luck would have it NOONE had a radiator in stock. So the guys pulled it apart measured and got a similar radiator that would at least get us home. The entire front clip of our jeep was in shambles. These guys went above anf beyond to get our of towners back on the road THANK YOU JERRY and your entire team

Fast, friendly, and fair prices. I got four new tires and an oil change for way less than some other places wanted to charge me. They also identified a major coolant leak and were able to fix that on the spot, saving me the time of making another appointment or potentially overheating my vehicle. Nobody tried to upsell me anything I didnt need or want.

I appreciated the time Jerry took with me over the phone to accommodate my work hours and get me on the schedule for a muffler repair. Ive always had good work (oil changes/battery/tire alignment) done efficiently and quickly at the Peru Midas shop.

Then they have the boss to do a real estimate this time and tell me that it is actually a different part. The man in this facility get paid by the hour so they are not obligated to providing great service. They are just there to collect an hourly check and give 3 F.... About your Car...

I got there and they all looked it over, diagnosed it. They made it safe for me to travel the rest of my road trip and didnt charge me a dime to help me out. I am so very grateful for them!

I had picked up my truck in Michigan, headed to South Dakota and stayed the night in Peru, Illinois. I noticed the truck’s lug nuts were loose and stopped by Midas and explained my situation. The person who helped me was very nice and helpful and was surprised I even made it to Illinois. He tighted the lug nuts and checked the rest of them, free of charge, and now I can get to my destination safely! If I’m ever back in town this is the place I would go to get my vehicle checked.

Very friendly service. I went in for an oil change and to check on a noise my car was making. They were super friendly and were able to fix the problem while i was there. The amount of time taken was reasonable for the work i had done - i was not waiting a long time but did not feel like they rushed either.

I went in for an oil change because I also wanted my tires rotated as I do not have the equipment to do it myself. When I was done I was told I have a loose drivers side tie rod and needed an alignment and my wheels balanced because the tread was uneven. I went home to investigate the issues and found that both tie rods were completely fine with no play and my tires patterns were even throughout. Also my car can can go straight for about five seconds when I let the wheel go. So I think they were just trying to pull one over on a 21 year old kid because they thought Im dumb or something and tried to stick me with a 700 dollar bill because they probably didnt want to rotate my tires.

Joe and his staff are the best. We would not think of going anywhere else!

Midas did their best to squeeze my vehicle in on a busy day. They were honest by disclosing that my vehicle actually required a service that was less of a cost than what we thought was needed. #topknotchservice
