Incredible service and the coffee is magnificent. Although the space is quite small, it is always a pleasure to visit this cafe. The man who runs it is very nice and he even gives you a small cookie with your coffee! Well worth it.

Lovely place with great hospitality! Coffee is excellent (you get a little almond cookie with it) and the breakfast sandwich is delicious! The place is small and is run by one guy so if it is busy expect to take some time.

Amazing lil coffee/ sandwich spot. The owner goes above and beyond for his customers. As great a person as the food he makes. The food is on another level. His healthy options are as vast & delicious as the traditional are. Has been my go to coffee spot while working in the area for years.

Wandered in here while staying at the Cambria - Center City. Super friendly service, great coffee and delicious breakfast sandwiches. Absolutely recommend if you are local or visiting.

Best coffee spot in the city in my opinion. Best service, best breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soups, and pastries too. The space is small but they make the most of it. Tony works quickly but never skimps on the fine details. Highly recommend it.

Phenomenal pastries, quinoa salad was perfect as was the cxn salad cant wait to try more on the menu. Owner or manager behind the counter was exceptionally helpful and even helped through some traffic!

Went to this place for a quick lunch. Had the most delicious panini as well as a really moist muffin. Place was really a small and quaint. Owner was really accommodating and threw in these delicious amaretti cookies for free.

Went there once. We shared a tuna salad and a chicken sandwich. Both were made fresh and tasted amazing. The americano was very good as well. It is a very small (really small) place which made the whole lunch experience very unique. I liked it!

This cafe is the best kept secret in center city. The food is whole and fresh. The people who work there are friendly and accommodating and the prices are fair. I have worked in Center City for six years and go to lunch several times a week - this is by far my favorite place to quickly pick something up to eat. I recommend this place to everyone that asks me where they should go to lunch. The seating is limited, only a bar with four (maybe more) stools however it creates a lovely atmosphere.

This place is amazing! The crepes were incredible (couldnt take a pic because I ate it too fast) and I got the avocado BLT and it was sooo delicious. The waitress was so nice and attentive. Love this place!

The family that owns and runs this café are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. The food is so good - fresh, healthy, creative and delicious. I dont go anywhere else in the area for lunch, and recommend it to everyone.

Hidden gem with delicious home made fresh food. Tons of healthy options and friendly staff. If you are desperate looking for delicious food and not willing to go to one of the many subways, BKs etc definitely go here.you wont be disappointed.

Best breakfast sandwich in all of Philadelphia. Hands down. Bacon egg n cheese on a flaky warm croissant made to perfection. For cheap too? I will be going here every single day. Not to mention their coffee and muffins are also the best I have ever had in any city. Please dont go here because right now their is never a line and I dont like lines. Tony makes a point to learn everyones name and something about them. This may be a tiny cafe in the middle of an office building in Center City, but you will not get custom service like this anywhere around. All the food is fresh and homemade, down to some of the soups. I cant recommend the chicken salad sandwich enough (homemade chicken salad on lettuce and apples), one of the huge salads, or a breakfast parfait. It is small and gets crowded, so come here for to-go.Ignore that other review about taking food out of the display case--this place gets so busy that nothing in the displays last more than an hour so it would have been made from within the hour, ready for panini pressing.

I entered this establishment seeking a late breakfast as they are a cafe and typically cafes, specifically small ones looking to establish a name for themselves, serve late breakfast fresh. Unfortunately this was not the case at all, very pleasant and quiet people, but when the counter girl took a sandwich which looked to be from this morning, put it on the panini press, and cooked it AGAIN for 5 minutes. This sandwich was clearly old and not fresh by any standards, yet they had no problem serving it to me, because I didnt have a suit and tie on. If you are looking for a fresh breakfast, avoid this place at all costs.. I was too mortified by the cooking practices to be angry, these people have no knowledge of proper food sanitation, judging by the cook in the back, using dirty tuperware containers to wash his lettuce. For the record: I have been working directly with food for over 8 years now, and would have been fired on the spot at any place I worked, should I have demonstrated similar practices.

TL;DR - Incredibly delicious food. Cheap prices. Great staff.Center city needs more places like this!Although modest in size, Tuscany Cafe is big on flavor and value. All the food tastes homemade; like it was prepared with love by someone who genuinely cares about the quality of their product. Everyone raves about the chicken salad--and dont get me wrong, its great--but my favorite is the PROSCIUTTO, EGG & CHEESE BREAKFAST SANDWICH (get it on one of the most massive croissants youve ever laid eyes upon). I dont know where theyre getting their prosciutto, but it just tastes better than most places. It should also be noted that their lunch panini are large enough for two meals; I regularly save the second half for the next day (and no one would accuse me of being a scrawny guy).Tony and staff are warm, welcoming, and kind people. Theres often classic rock, oldies, or classical music playing when I visit. A welcomed respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.As an added bonus, I once went there late in the day (3:30ish?) and was given a free muffin in addition to my order.Just. Good.
