Pretty good! I had an oat milk latte and my sister got a chai latte. The espresso wasn’t my favorite thing in the world, but definitely above average. I also tried the chia pudding, which was a little underwhelming. I wish they put more fruits or drizzled honey on it. Ultimately a really solid place to visit, and the customer service was fast and efficient.

The staff was friendly and the coffee was great. The cookie them recommended was more than I expected. Intense texture and rich taste!

Cute quick coffee grab - a tiny place, but was perfect for grabbing a cappuccino on a rainy afternoon. People cycle in & out, so I was able to grab a window seat & hang for a couple hours.

Super good coffee. It was a little bit busy when we were there, but I think thats just a sign of how good the coffee is. Friendly employees made the experience even better. Got the iced vanilla latte in a to-go cup, but you can also order your drink to dine in.

So, in a city with a vast amount of choice if you want coffee Ultimo is my go to. Besides making an excellent cup of coffee along with delicious bites, I love the people and the service. A nice smile and careful attention to all customers makes this cup of coffee that much more enjoyable....plus, youre just a block away from Rittenhouse Square. Win-win!

Ultimo’s third location doesn’t disappoint and still keeps them a top as the best coffee shops In Philly in my book. When they started roasting their own coffee I was skeptical but every cup has been awesome and just as good as Counter Culture. Like there other spots there is limited seating. They have outdoor seating when the weather is nice.

I get things are crazy now but the organization was awful. Ordered online for a couple hot chocolates, got in line to pickup, gave my name and was told it was being prepared. Waited for over 10 minutes until other people were served who arrived after us before walking up and asking. Turns out the drinks were ready and sitting out and was told next time, just give a name like I hadnt done that. So warning to anyone ordering online, you have to continue to check on them because they wont call your name, and its not worth the money you pay for the size (especially when it sits out and gets cold).

I’ve tried them a few times now and everything has been great!Post-COVID, they are taking orders at the door through plexiglass. Pretty sure they are card only as well, to avoid passing change back and forth, but I’m not sure if that’s still the case. They don’t let anyone inside but there are a couple of tables set up on the sidewalk. The employees are always kind, I recommend going!

I really love Ultimo. It’s one of my go-to neighborhood coffee shops. Their online ordering system is really easy and they are super quick. They also have great coffee - I recommend buying a bag of their own roasted beans.

Try them out once Starbucks gave us a hassle when they messed up……this is much better coffee then Starbucks and a block away. Wish I tried them sooner

I ordered two coffees and when I was leaving a homeless man came in stepped on my foot and proceeded to grind his foot into mine. I was so shaken up I dropped my latte and no one asked if I needed another, if I was okay, or if I needed any help. I left because I was really shaken up. It was one of the most disturbing experiences I’ve ever had.

I stop by Ultimo almost every morning, they have good coffee most of the time. I noticed one of the employees is under performing very often, and as being a regular, I always expect consistent quality. This morning she was working and I already had my doubts, surely it ended up being worst cup I had, so I felt the need to leave a review. I should have told them something, but I was in a hurry. My latte was severely under extracted and I was drinking basically hot milk, crema had just slight hint of tan color.. I hope they will take this review as a heads up, and maybe that employee should start using scale and timer to ensure consistent and good cup of coffee.

Came here on a Friday I think. I will be bringing family next time. This place has a cool atmosphere.

The coffee is great - from cold brews to hot lattes, Ive enjoyed it all. Have yet to try their pastries but have heard good things.A friend who lives in Rittenhouse swears by Ultimo and exclusively goes there.1 star off because the space is a bit small so if you are looking to do work, you most likely wont be able to find a spot. Or if you do, you probably have to go early!

The mocha is so-so (too sweet for my taste). The payment process was awkward— because the screen in inside the plexiglass, the barista asks the customer if they want to tip / how much? This is already an awk process and most of the customers around (just like me) hesitated and then said “15%”. Please just put the screen somewhere where the customers can select / sign and then sanitize or just remove the tip option and raise your base price.

Great location and coffee is decent. The place is clean and well lit. Kind of small so if you want to sit and work on your computer you may need to wait to get a table. The staff is pretty friendly as well.

This place is so dang cute! Was immediately greated when I came in and although the space is small its cozy, clean and welcoming. Coffee was ready quickly and priced appropriately and tasted delicious! Would definitely go back!

This Cafe offers flash brewed iced coffee, which is the best kind of iced coffee. That alone, five stars. But beyond that, the coffee is excellent, one of the truly good cafes in Philadelphia.

Gorgeous looking little spot, convenient to Rittenhouse Square. Baristas are top notch, attentive & quick, without any pretentious airs. Pastries & baked goods are limited but tasty. When the weather permits, grab a chair @ an outside table & enjoy a moment or two -- truly one of lifes greatest little pleasures. Dont miss a chance to sample their different variety of roasts!

The food and drink there is okay, but the experience is totally embarrassing. And the reaction from the staff made me never want to go again.I hate those electrical pos machines. The place that I came from does not have those fancy little things. What we do there is take the check and sign the name & tip on the paper. Thus I am not familiar with the pad at all.When I finished order my food & drink, I clicked custom the tip amount. I want to give them 1$ for the tip, I thought if I click 1, it would be 1$, so I click 1 and then okay. Turns out it is 0.01. But I clicked those two button too fast and it’s already too late to change. So I asked my friend to buy something else and add more tip on it once I sit down. And he did that after I begged him a while.However, when we back to our Airbnb, he told me they were mocking at me and took photos about that. That makes me even embarrassed. I mean if I don’t want tip at all, I wouldn’t click custom tip. If I want to tip, I wouldn’t just tip 0.01. That does not make any sense. I am already pretty embarrassed about the mistyping.

Food was so delicious. Certainly worth a return trip. The bill was decent for the quality.

First specialty coffee place I tried while on a visit to Philly. Very small shop (probably 8-10 tables, 2 seats each) but very competent baristas. I would definitely go here again, even though there are over a dozen other coffee specialty spots around

Paid for a $5 latte that was pre-sweetened. After one sip I returned it to the counter and told them that I wasnt expecting the drink to be sweetened. Was met with blank stares and the explanation that thats just how it is. I left the entire drink on the counter; there was no offer of a refund or to make a new drink. Despite the poor customer service, this is a relatively nice spot, especially to sit outside.

I have been going to Ultimo coffee for a while and I have been treated very well until yesterday. I came to drink a cup of HOT coffee at the Ultimo Coffee, the place was 80 F, so I asked the employee (Skinny Japanise guy) to cool down the ambient, but he told me (beigng very rude) that the AC could not cool more than that! What kind of AC does not cool down more than 80??ALSO the coffee made by HIM was not the same as I have ALWAYS had! It really looks the place is going down, sadly! Iwould recommend all of you to go to Vernick at the new comcast or the Blue stone coffee, where they treat you very well ALWAYS!!!

Ive visited this place twice this week, i think the concept of a coffee bar is quite interesting. i think for a $5 or $8 coffee i should be provided with some fancy square shaped pure cane sugar, they only have brown sugar in packets it feels a little cheap, but i dont mind. a very interesting vibe when i walked in here the fist time, it is modern, bright and the goth girls working here are easy going but playful, was it a kind of lightness behind this impression? maybe ive seen them at a joy division dance party before, was this emotion so deep and profound, or an attitude? they will be gone in a few months anyway. because it is a small somewhat cramped space, the seating and tables are closer than most cafes, you sit very close to another customer and the presence of an attractive barista will not be ignored. it is relaxing perhaps therapeutic in a way, would i be coming here tomorrow? im tempted to indulge in this atmosphere, tomorrow will be a day like any other.
