This is a great shop! Today I went to their Sunday Afternoon Miniature Painting & Terrain-Making Social to purchase and paint my first ever mini. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I felt very welcomed as I entered and enjoyed the entirety of my stay. They gave me tips and encouraged me while I painted the mini, and it came out so good. I really love it and I will most certainly be back to purchase and paint another. Thanks, The Philly Game Shop!

Bright and welcoming space that has games for all levels - seriously! Sit and play during one of the scheduled events or pick something from their share shelf to try out yourself. The staff was respectful and thorough about about answering MTG questions, too.I think it would be exciting if there were events to welcome beginner gamers -- whether theyre interested in MTG, Dnd/rpg, or board games in general.

Very clean and spacious store set up with tables and chairs. They sell a variety of board games like Risk, Star Wars, Settlers of Catan.. so many roll player games and cards to choose from as well as a handful of basic board games.. The staff is very helpful and on Sat evenings you can play any of their games from their demo library for free (otherwise its $5 to try). They even provide feminine hygiene products in their very clean gender neutral bathroom - I love this place 😅

This place is so cool! My friend and I are both queer and felt so welcome in the shop. They have a million games to choose from and do cool events. Love this place and I hope it can stay in business through covid!

Blown away by the amount of games here. The store was clean, and the staff member we spoke to, Shane, was extremely friendly and took the time to answer all of our questions! The gaming community around the store seems really friendly and inclusive, we cant wait to go back to spend some time gaming!

I love this place! Have bought my last 3 board games from this lovely store. I keep coming back for the knowledgeable and warm staff and inviting store. I live in nyc (I visit when in town visiting family) and even prefer this store to the ones I have closer to home.

Philly Game Shop has a great variety of games to choose from. Their customer service is outstanding! They go above and beyond for their customers. So glad I found them.

Amazing owners and an amazing place. They have everything you need for your board game and trading card game needs. And if they dont have something in stock they are happy to order it and they get it in pretty quick. Their prices are really good and even cheaper then big box stores in many examples.We are all stuck indoors right now with everything going on, why not stop by and get a board game. They have great recommendations for all kinds of people. They have converted my wife and I into board game fanatics.

Cant recommend this store enough! Taylor was incredibly helpful with ordering a game for me online and getting it from the distributor incredibly quickly. When I came in, everyone was very friendly and theres a great selection!

My fave game shop! Staff is incredibly kind and helpful. I love shopping here not just for games but for cute game-related accessories like stickers and masks! They can even custom order games for you (like Star Trek Catan😊) if you don’t see it in the store. This place is amazing, I highly recommend!

One of the best if not the best selection of games in the city! They are continually growing and will order any game you could want for you. The space is super clean and bright and has a welcoming atmosphere.The owners are amazing and super knowledgeable. Definitely stop by if you are around! They have a small library of playable games thats slowly growing as well.

A truly wonderful place. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They carry A wide selection of boardgames. If you have a particular game in mind and dont see it on the shelf they can order it so you may pick it up at a later date. Sometimes when I visit a small business that sells boardgames and Im looking to buy I leave empty handed. Not because they didnt have what I wanted, but because they choose to make up the games well over retail. Im a small business owner myself, and I understand overhead but it still drives me nuts.The owners of the Philly Game Shop do it right. They keep a very well stocked selection of boardgames for all levels of players, and more so they are extremely mindful of keeping fair pricing. If youre looking for your next boardgame, this is where you want to go, you wont be disappointed

So glad I found this place. I’m always looking for new game stores, and this seems like just my place. Lots of things to choose from, seems very inclusive, and if they don’t have a product, they can probably order it for you!! Also seems like that have themed days for things like painting minis and other activities that look really fun if that’s something you’re into!!
