Loved this place! Great service, great food! I ended up having to stay until they were closing and they were so gracious about letting me wait for my ride without pressuring me or making me feel unwelcome.

The owner is self absorbed and entitled, but her husband is pleasant and professional. Inside looks nice and the low light makes the place cozy.

Great food, good service, and nice ambience.Had dinner here last night with two friends. The host and server were both friendly. The restaurant was not packed, but had a decent amount of people there.My friend ordered the flat iron steak (pictured), I had the green chile beef stew (pictured), and my other friend had a salad and the tuna tartar (not pictured). I am not a huge fan of tuna tartar but my friend loved it. I tried the steak which was cooked well with the right amount of spices that it was very flavorful. The stew was also very flavorful with a generous portion.The food did take a little while to come out, but they brought us a salad appetizer on the house due to the wait.I plan on returning here.

The Tavern earned my immediate 💯! My guest and I were looking for quick and close-by Dine-In Option. Walking in after calling for a reservation around 2:45, we were seated and immediately greeted by Our Server Sandra. The menu was limited but had a fair selection. This place is amazing!! And so was Sandra!! It is a bar with great music I would call a good mix of 70s Classic Rock, Motown, and Alternative Rock. It is also a Wine Store with what looked like a good selection. Bar seating, High tables, Low tables, and a Booth that seats probably a group of 6. The food is Fantastic!! From the Side Salad to the Burger I ordered cooked Exactly as I ordered. Juicy and Delicious!!! BUT I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT SANDRA! I Live 3 Hours Away And I WILL BE BACK!!

We enjoy The Tavern. we try to get here two or three times a year. The food is excellent I especially like the American Burger. The service is phenomenal. Great selection of wine, great for couples or families you can take your time enjoy your food with exceptional service and atmosphere.

Great wines and great comfort food. Shared the crispy fries and they were crispy and delicious. Had the white cheddar grilled cheese with tomato bisque and it was excellent. Cheesy goodness and the bisque was perfect; slightly tangy yet creamy. Shared a bottle of Mendel Malbec from their wine store. Only $30 and excellent. The outside stop is small but very pleasant to sit outside despite they don’t seem to have heaters.

Superior food along with Superior Service definitely a dining experience with the staff to support such a great establishment. Cheers to the owner, you know you have a great team when they go above and beyond and genuinely care about theyre patreons.

Hands down, THE best burger Ive ever had. Simple dish with an amazingly delicious spin of flavor and fresh ingredients. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic. Highly recommend without reservation--but please make a reservation, theyre amazing and you dont want to miss out on getting a seat at this hoppin place!

Food and service are excellent, and for a small place it actually allows a typical bar conversation, and tables with enough separation to allow private chat. The patty melt is outstanding! For a place that markets its connection to the wine store next door, the wine selection in the bar is only so-so. Maybe they want you to buy the higher priced spread in the wine store.On balance though, this is a recommend. Weve been there before and well be back.

Award winning food and in my opinion, award winning service. Travis at Sky Harbor was attentive yet allowed for an enjoyable experience. Talkative with the talkative patrons and did I mention award winning food. Check this place out next time you fly. Perfect representation of the new and improved Sky Harbor.

Stopped in for a night cap and ran into some friends while we were there! They have a great selection of wine and champagne and other cocktails. Looking forward to going back for a bite and some more drinks! The place was busy but the service was great, we felt attended to. Great date night spot!

Do you want all other French fries to be ruined for you indefinitely?! Then order them here. They are the best fries, so much that I think of them daily. I wish I was joking. Also met Mark and he was so welcoming and sweet that it made me want to support his businesses even more than before!

Had dinner last night, first time there since Pandemic. Food and drink delicious, best margarita Ive had in AZ. Excellent service from Tyler. Totally comfortable dining there, obviously following all safety protocols. Already have a reservation for next week.

This is a great place for American classic and some new American cuisine. They also have an amazing beer and wine selection. Occasionally there is live music. Several of the menu items are national award winning. Check it out, you wont be disappointed.

We didnt know anything about this restaurant but found it when we were going to have breakfast at First Watch off of Camelback and W 32nd. Because we like wine, we thought it would be interesting to eat there sometime so we did this past weekend for lunch. We got seated promptly; took about 7 minutes for our waiter to come to take our drink orders and if we were ready to order our food (we were). We both got a glass of wine; hubby had two of the tacos and I had the sloppy joe sliders. We split an order of the thin fries on their side menus. The food was good; a bit pricey but tasty. Our service was just okay. Not outstanding, certainly not attentive. After our waiter, Zachary, brought us our food he never checked back with us if things were satisfactory until he cleared our plates at the end and then asked if we wanted anything more before he brought us our check. We are usually very generous tippers but this time just left 15% which we rarely do; we are usually at times about 50% of what our bill is. Will we go back? Probably not. Again, food was tasty but overpriced a bit and without the attentiveness of the wait staff, it wasnt a great over all experience.

Always great food and good service. The entire table enjoyed their meals. Deviled eggs are an excellent appetizer. Only wish is that they could offer full bar service like their main restaurant next door.

I have a sister who lives in Phoenix and just had cancer surgery and now ongoing treatments. I wanted to get her some nice food and bottle of wine to help brighten her day. Being from out of town that was not easy. I called The Tavern and their manager Thomas was absolutely amazing! I cant thank him enough for going above and beyond to assist during a very difficult time. What a great place. Thank you.

Great variety on the menu!! We all enjoyed our food! We all tried the lobster roll, the paella, the filet and the lobster gnudi. It was all delicious. The paella is not the traditional Spanish version but had excellent flavor. Place only serves wine and beer. There is a wine store connected to restaurant and you can select any wine you want.

I am from Europe and I do know a lot about food. The portions are to small and way overpriced, food is tasty! I guess for the people in Phoenix it is good enough😂😂

Visiting and staying at the AC Biltmore. Found this tavern in walking distance. Went in last night for some local beers on tap. Pretty place and bartenders were really nice!

I was really disappointed with the American Burger. The Challah Bun was good but the bun to burger ratio was too much. The burger wasnt half as thick as the thin bottom bun. The tomato was sliced paper thin. The thin fries were ok and there were plenty of them but there wasnt anything special about them. And this was $17 before tax and tip. The service was good.

Damn good bowl of noodles. I ordered this with the protein of Octopus. Unfortunately, I was expecting a lovely charred octopus but was served limp, soggy pieces of octopus. So sad for my first visit to a Tarbells establishment.
