The people that work here are very kind, genuine, and super fast at producing beverages. I like that they ask customers to be masked as it shows that ownership cares about the folks working behind the counter. Great shop all around!

The coffee shop has a really cool aesthetic, which you definitely have to check out! It’s completely vegan, which is really great. The menu isn’t huge, but the coffee is good. I also love that they use paper straws!

This coffee was phenomenal! No indoor seating yet, but they had a few tables outside where we were able to enjoy our coffee. They are still requiring masks, but if you dont have one they do have disposable maks. I will definitely come back if Im ever in the area.

This was my first and last stop in Phoenix. I tried as much as I could. Lavender oat milk latte, cold brew, and the special “the altar” I enjoyed all of it. I also had my first macaron ever...(kind of a novelty for me), I’m more of the all pink cookie type. Try any cake! I tried three different cakes and all of them were exceptional.

I love going here for the seasonal drinks, and the vegan pastries are an added bonus. The drinks are flawless 99.99% of the time, but we generally are only offered a lukewarm welcome — which feels odd, because a couple years back it was a much friendlier place, and a much more enjoyable experience. Anyway, thanks to the Dark Hall team for always making such great new concoctions!

It was a nice experience for me for the first time. Mike was a humble guy that knows what hes doing and gets the job done well. Try their services and you won’t regret it for sure. The quality of service they provided was amazing! I couldnt ask for more! I will never forget to tell all of my friends and co-workers about this place for sure.

A taste of Goth, a piece of pastry and a delightful cup of coffee. That sums up this vegan coffee shop off 7th Street. The staff is very friendly and serve great treats and a hot cup of gourmet coffee. I will go here anytime rather than support Starbucks and other chains.

Clean, quick, and friendly experience. Unique flavor combinations (ginger and grapefruit cold brew is DELICIOUS) with efficient staff. They allow only two people inside the shop at one time which made me feel safe and good about supporting this business and the staff. All baked goods were fully stocked when I arrived at 7:10 :)For those who are complaining about how staff have to ask you if you want to tip due to safety precautions (tablet is behind the plexiglass wall): I think you should always tip generously if you’re going out at all during the pandemic! If you’re buying coffee almost $5 a cup you can afford a 15% or more tip. Plus it’s way more awkward for the staff than you!

It was fine. The best thing we got though was the chocolate banana pastry. Surprisingly the coffee was not the high point.

One of the best coffee places in Phoenix. The atmosphere and overall branding are spots on in a unique way. Ive been here personally over a dozen times. Its close to my house and right across the street from Sprouts. However almost every time I leave...I question why I spent money here.The service isnt the best, and if you dont fit into a specific mold, you arent treated with respect. I know for most people, this isnt a big deal, but if I ask you for advice on which coffee beans to purchase, please dont just turn the bags over for me to read the labels. I am more than capable of doing that myself, and I want to have a conversation with you about your personal opinion.I am giving this place 4 stars because I truly do love the coffee & pastries. Their sister company, Coronado is a gem and the customer service there is top notch. Lets sprinkle some of that love here at Dark Hall.

My brother and I had dinner in this Korean restaurant. We both love the food and the service from this restaurant. Their staves were very friendly and accommodating to us. First, love the gothic feel to the Caiden shop. The cashier was lovely so I asked her to make me her favorite drink, it was a coffee ( with oat milk and caramel with a chocolate twist). Best first time experience.

Hands down the best vegan pastries in Phoenix! Ive tried many of the drink specials, which are always creative and delicious. Coffee is always bomb, and I love that they source from a local roaster. Even my non-vegan friends and family love Dark Hall! Plus, it feels good to support a business that cares about its employees and community.

First time in. Wanted a black and white but the white chocolate was only offered in 2 specialty drinks. No biggie! He was super polite about it and made suggestions on incorporating mocha in the two specialty drinks. If I was in the mood for the other flavors I would have tried it. Got a mocha only and it was good!! My husband got a Mexican mocha and he was offered a spice level, interesting.. he went for low spicy and it was just right imo. Love vegan options. Will be back.

After seeing Dark Hall’s Instagram, I was so excited to visit - and it did not disappoint! My oat milk cortado was perfect and the chocolate, sea salt, pistachio cinnamon roll was divine. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. My only regret is that I couldn’t try ALL of their pastries because they looked amazing! 🤤 Plus they are dog friendly. Highly recommend!

I came for coffee and left with coffee and five pastries. Everything was fantastic but the shortbread cookie and olive oil cake were out of this world!

I am obsessed with dark hall. The bakers here are absolutely amazing.It’s hard to find vegan macarons and they make them really well. Personally I think my favorite is the cake though, it’s always moist, well flavored and I enjoy how creative they can be with garnishing it.The coffee is good too and they even make their own mylks. It’s a nice treat when they offer ice cream to put in your coffee/matcha too (=A million extra points for their outspokenness and intersectional approach towards issues. It would be hard to convince me that there’s a better vegan coffee shop tbh 🤷🏻‍♀️

Came in on a Saturday about noon. Their baked good selection was pretty much zero at this time.I was shopping on behalf of a client who is disabled, so what he sends me for and when is totally based upon his needs.Hope they can add sugar free coffee items in future. We did buy the chocolate cookies to try and they were great!Visited again this week, they had a strawberry cookie. Super fabulous!!! Would reccomend. As well the barista walked me through pre-ordering on the website for my disabled client the night before, so that he can be assured his items that always sell out! Such great service. Going above & beyond!

The coffee here is amazing! I got a latte with oat milk, and I sipped very slow to savor it. I also got a pistachio shortbread that was a perfect pair with the coffee. The best part is everything is vegan so you dont have to worry about what you order! I highly recommend this coffee shop.

Please note: this is a vegan coffee house. The vanilla iced latte is phenomenal. The house made caramel, because its vegan, has a different taste for a non-vegan like myself. The bakery selection is amazing. The vibe is unique and reflects the name. Its a great option when looking for something different.

I came In today to pick up a grubhub . The guy with black finger nail polish was very rude. Was standing in line waiting to get my order. Was helping someone else still after done helping him him continue to talk to him . Ignore me. I spoke up ask him if I could get my order told me I was rude. I said your the one who is rude. Customers are always right. He refused to give me his name or the order for grubhub . I reported him to grubhub. I hope I can find the ownerNo one at should be treated like this. He should be fired. He also by not giving me the order hurt the client I was delivering for. Now they have to wait for someone else to pick it up

I am hooked. I love the intimate feel of this yummy vegan cafe. Their menu is a bit limited as they just recently opened, but they make up for it in a major way with their baked goods. I was able to try the plum cake and was very pleasantly surprised. I found the cafe via Instagram (I think from the Coronado) and I will definitely be back for more.

I had a small Americano 3.80$ it was good it was really good better than Starbucks Americano. Its small kinda tucked away, its across the street from the Starbucks. Its a cool place. You can have coffee out on the patio. Im actually looking at the Starbucks while Im drinking dark hall coffee.

Awesome vegan cafe!! Was told about this place from store my friend and I just visited and the coffee was on point. The cafe is small but the taste of their coffee and cake was delicious! Highly recommend.

My wife and I have been coming to this spot for the past year or so we have lived on the west side. I am super grateful to have this amazing local coffee shop as we don’t have too many over here. The vegan pastries are incredible, I’ve never had something I didn’t enjoy. :) I personally just get a hot oat milk latte because I think it’s perfect as is, but my wife gets different drinks and really loves the chai. I feel the espresso is strong here and does give me a ton of energy. Overall, the vibe is 10/10 especially if you’re tryna get some instagram pics.

Really pleasant people, a varied drinks menu, and a good selection of baked goods. I had a Witch and some crumble and both tasted great.Not a lot more I can ask for!

I visited for the first time about two weeks ago with my boyfriend. The two guys behind the counter we’re friendly and very helpful in answering our questions. They suggested drinks and food items for us to try. The drinks were great but my favorite was the vegan elderberry cake. I live in north Phoenix and this will be my stop whenever I am in mid town. This was definitely a great experience.

Had a cold brew with vanilla + lavender added. I usually add creamer but I decided against it and wow this coffee was super delicious! I also had to try their pastries and I went for the blackout cake and it was insanely good. Staff was friendly as well. It’s a bit far from me but I’m willing to make the trips back lol

I like that they make their own nut milk in house. I wasn’t a fan of the coffee though. The macaron I had was a little too sweet for me. The person who took my order wasn’t particularly happy to be there or something either. This is a huge contrast to their other coffee shop The Coronado, which has amazing coffee!

Great little hidden spot. Stopped in on the way to work to check it out. I was rather surprised my bill for a 16oz Iced Coffee and Mini Choc Banana gluten free cake came out to over $8. Overall though, the quality was primo and staff was friendly. Ive been returning ever since. Shot out to Ryan for always taking great care of me. I highly recommend the gingerbread cold brew.

I read a review of this place in Phoenix New Times and wanted to try it because it was vegan. They have a small coffee menu and I had no clue what to order. The wonderful young lady behind the counter asked me a few questions to see what I liked and recommended a latte with their card r syrup (cardamom, rose, etc). We also ordered a cinnamon bun pastry. WOW!!! From the service, to the coffee, to the out if this world cinnamon buns, everything was perfect! The cinnamon bun was very moist and the icing was incredible. Way to go! I will definitely recommend this place and be back!

The drinks and food were both good, not anything outstanding, but the service was disappointing. It’s a treat to find all-vegan establishments but we will not be returning.

Delicious pastries and good coffee

I wanted to post a food pic but it looked so good I couldnt stop. I will be back with my relatives. The prices are well within reason for the quality. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I loved to visit.

The cold brew here in my favorite. If curious about adding any flavors I’d say do it! Normally I never do but the sweetness and flavors are always perfectly balanced. My partner always gets the cortado with cashew milk and he loves it. Their crew is super friendly and always make you feel welcomed.

Been here a few times and I just feel most of the staff is very stingy and not very accommodating. The coffee is so-so... really all they have going for them is providing unique vegan sweets.... I will continue going to their sister restaurant The Coronado. At least they are more welcoming and accommodating.

Cute atmosphere theme but coffee/ tea was ehh. We got a chai latte and a dark mocha latte with oat milk and both were not finished. Service was nice and their bakery items looked good but dont think we will be back for lattes.

This is a small independent company with a huge corporate competitor right across the street. Its a little quirky with a quasi gothic motif going on. Loved the muzak playlist of cold wave/synth pop bands. They serve the expected coffee offerings with the standard flavorings and the less expected lavender flavor. They have a full offering of teas and house made vegan pastries. They also sell a great Tshirt with a memorable graphic, had to have one!

I found Dark Hall Coffee through Google maps and was not disappointed. It was very small and they have a small variety of pastries BUT the sample they do have is AMAZING! I was naturally thrown off because Im not vegan but the cashier recommended the oat milk in a vanilla caramel latte and it was delish! I also tried a chocolate banana cake which was just as yummy! The cashier was super friendly and very knowledgeable which made me feel welcome. Id definitely return and would recommend anyone stopping by as well!

Went to visit, beautiful location however right as we entered the barista/cashier on duty was extremely rude.Yes, I understand its a global pandemic and the need to not touch things is a must. However the barista/cashier was extremely rude on getting the point across, there is no need to yell in a degrading tone to consumers. I was planning to purchase some merchandise however her unnecessary aggression was very hurtful. I wish I didnt purchase coffee here because of this barista/cashier was completely off the line and rude. I felt as if we were a different race we wouldnt have faced this aggressive behavior towards us.Advice to the manager and owner, have sympathy and discrimination training on baristas. Also put up signs on merchandise stating not to touch it as well as caution tape so no one crosses the area thats off limits.Had my review on YELP

As a new customer checking this out for the first time there is a lack of hospitality. No greeting upon entry or exit. As other reviewers stated tips are demanded and if you don’t tip you get the silent treatment. Tips are 100% optional because they’re tips. If you have to rely on tips then wage increases are necessary. Due to COVID-19 more cleaning is necessary, but there are plenty of other restaurants/coffee bars who don’t demand tips and have more friendly staff.

The staff is awesome and all of the food and drinks are vegan, which is great when you know someone whos lactose intolerant. I also love supporting a local business that shares my values!

Former Coworker always brought baked goods from here and Ive been meaning to get down to try their coffee as well. Everything is completely vegan so expected non-dairy milks for your beverages. Ive yet to have a bad food item from them. Definitely check out this local coffee spot for some of the best snacks and drinks in town

Great breakfast and great coffee selections! The specialty is iced coffee, but we went with hot coffee because of cooler morning temp when we visited. The food selection was great, and easy to find multiple options that I could have. Great service and atmosphere as well.

This coffee shop is aesthetically super cute, and the people working here are so helpful. I discovered my love for oat milk when I tried a dark mocha latte with oat milk. It was one of the best coffees I have ever had. Their desserts are also quite delicious. Everything here is 100% vegan, so it is a great coffee shop for all to enjoy.

This is my treat of the day after getting a hair cut from Cult Hair Studios and Spa. Great service and the drinks are delicious! Every month they come up with different concoctions for that month and they are usually pretty good and creative. The pastries are yummy!! Best part is that its all vegan!!!

Dark Hall always has the most unique specials of any coffee shop in Phoenix. For those who are less adventurous, they still have great coffee (seriously great). Hands down my favorite thing about Dark Hall are the amazing vegan cakes! I will go out of my way if I see a delicious cake on their Instagram.
