The Coronado was an excellent stop! I was in Phoenix just for the weekend and looking for a quick vegan bite shortly after I landed while I waited for my AirBnB to be ready. The Coronado is conveniently just around the corner from Sky Harbor, making it a really easy stop before or after a flight! The service was remarkable both times I visited (I went after I landed and then I HAD to go again just a couple of days later right before my flight, waking up extra early to ensure I would have time to do so) and so was the food! I had the biscuits and gravy the first time (pictured) and then ordered the burrito for my second meal (not pictured because I was in a rush, sorry). Much like the service, the food was also incredible. This place easily gets five stars from me and I see no reason why anyone would not stop here if theyre flying into or out of Phoenix. Its right there! This is a convenient and delicious stop that anyone should check out if theyre in Phoenix looking for vegan food.

This is a nice neighborhood spot with very good (delicious) vegan dishes that are mostly(if not all) Mexican inspired. There’s a limited selection, but all very delicious. I’d suggest that they add a trio taco plate with 3 different options bc they’re all so good. They’re understaffed, so don’t be in a big hurry. I think they need to offer free chips n salsa (maybe self serve?) to keep the peace or find some other way to relieve pressure off waitstaff while hangry customers wait.

We stumbled onto this neighborhood gem as we wove our way through the hood. Its surprisingly trendy and well definitely be back. Lots of outdoor space and the indoor space is open and comfortable. The service is timely and welcoming. We enjoyed the black bean quesadilla and the most delicious guacamole. The cauliflower tacos are life changing. What s fun place. Were so glad we found the Coronado PHX!

Had tofu scramble, beet and quinoa burger and the cauliflower tacos. All of them were amazing. As a vegetarian, I don’t necessarily prefer some of the vegan dishes like the burgers (patties usually made to taste like meat) but the food here was not like that. Each dish was made to perfection and tasted delicious. Perfect spot for a brunch!

Well lets see. They were out of their one brunch special, thats fine. I moved on. Ok out of flautas.. ok.. ordered chiliquiles. OUT OF THAT. I finally settled on their breakfast sandwich as it had their biscuits which somehow they still had. It showed up with zero flavor except a bit of soap, was hard as a rock and yet then promptly disintegrated into crumbs in my hands, on the plate and on the table. I had one single bite out of it. I tried to salvage it with a fork but couldnt really do that either.. Ive never in my entire life been to a vegan restaurant and been unable to actually eat the food as a vegan. My server was very nice, even though I stood at the door for 5 minutes before being given a table and then sat there for 10 minutes before someone asked if I had been helped yet. It wasnt even that busy as there were plenty of servers and seats. I have no idea what this place is supposed to be, but as an out of towner in Phoenix, hands down the worst vegan option in town and there are a ton of places around!

Yum!! Brought my friend who was passing through Phoenix here and it was his first vegan meal ever!! We split the cauliflower tacos and quinoa beet burger. They were SO good. He absolutely loved it and said he would eat there again. Im 90% plant-based (zero meat) and it was definitely one of the better places Ive been to. Love that they advocate for human rights too.Tip: bring your own reusable utensils and napkins as they give you plastic utensils in a plastic package. Bring a reusable water bottle as well to avoid the plastic cups!

This place is soooooo good! The prices vs portion was a shock. Usually at vegan restaurants you get like 2 carrots for $12, but here, so much food for a great price. We got the cauliflower tacos and mushroom tacos with street corn. Everything was delicious. We also bought cold brew beans which I just made (as a cold brew) and again, nothing short of flavorful. 💯 Recommend The Coronado PHX!

The atmosphere & staff are great. It’s a really pretty restaurant inside and my brown sugar limeade was good. Overall, The food was terrible, it had absolutely no flavor. The potatoes seemed to be the most seasoned but the tofu scramble was bland, the chilaquiles were bland, it was sad because I invited people out to check it out and no one liked their food. The waitress saw no one touched their food and didn’t ask us why we’d barely eaten 10% of the plate. There was also no hot sauce or anything to resurrect the meal, which was the most frightening part of my Halloween weekend. This place has potential, the meal was plated in an aesthetically pleasing way but it’s missing key steps, like marinating tofu for a few hours not just superficial seasoning (it was clear it wasn’t marinated because it tasted like bland, plain tofu right out the box), presentation of the tofu scramble (it looked like a sheet of bread not like a scramble), authentic flavors for the chilaquiles especially things like salt, garlic, peppers, tomatoes, onions. Please season the food. Please. Get some adobo sauce, get some fresh herbs, peppers, onions, scallions, veggies and really do justice to vegan food, it can be healthy And tasty. It can have flavor, please try new recipes and have different people of different races And ethnicities sample them. Flavor matters. Seasoning matters. Complementary sauces can go a longggggggg way, right now the stars are just for aesthetics And service, not the meal/food.This is my second time coming by and my feelings are unchanged so I doubt I’ll return again.

This is the first vegan restaurant in Phoenix I have tried since moving here from Miami. The cashier was super helpful when asking about the menu and she suggested the cauliflower tacos and she was correct with saying they were great. A lot more food than I expected when getting tacos. But they are amazing. I plan on going back to try other items on their menu. The space is also very cute because it’s an old house they turned into a restaurant.

We waited way too long to try The Coronado, thankfully it did not disappoint. The new location is a lot of fun, the service was kind and accommodating, our coffee drinks were well balanced, and the food was delicious and made from scratch. The best biscuit, vegan or not, that Ive had in a long time! All of these factors made up for the fact that the wait for food was a bit longer than expected, but it was a busy brunch Sunday. I later found out that the business has been going through some struggles and abuse over requiring masks. Wouldve never known it by how positive the staff seemed. My wife and I were visiting from Austin and were very surprised by the portion to cost ratio here! Coming from Austin where spending a good penny will get you a small portion, especially at vegan eateries, this was a refreshing stop on our first place in the Phoenix area after the airport. We enjoyed it so much we came back the next day! The potato tacos, chimichanga, beat burger (which we turned into a taco), fries, and scones were all delightful!! Amazing sauces with different flavor combos you wouldnt expect but nonetheless still wowed! The staff was all very friendly and welcoming. Definitely would recommend! Cute place, love the location and vegan menu.Update: love the new location! They are now located in what used to be the Tuck Shop. Love what they have done with the exterior and interior. The food is still delicious; I recommend the red bean quesadillas and mushroom tacos. My only suggestion is to have an option to just order from the QR code as servers are super nice but they are young and usually socializing and not aware of the amount of time that customers are ready to order. Very fun and moist, not too soft or hard. I actually finished both in one sitting. Very satisfied and I feel like wont have to have any other pastries for a while. First time at a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. Simply amazing establishment. Went a little crazy ordering chili in AZ summer but it was heavenly. Everyone in my party didnt mind the menu nor did we find anything missing about our meal. If I had to pick on something, it would be food packaging. If everything was going to be served in take out containers, let it be more environmentally conscious materials. Use composting packages. Seeing all the cardboard and plastic full up the trash cans and thinking how it was going to sit at the landfill seems odd. Serving healthy food for our inside while polluting our environment.
