I have had My Gal Sal make my vegan birthday cakes for several years now! They do excellent work and try hard to accommodate your requests! I highly recommend them!

I moved to the Phoenix area recently and was looking for a bakery that would make a gluten free and vegan cake for a gender reveal party. I came across Sals bakery and had the best experience! First of all, Sal is so kind and professional in all communications. I had initially scheduled the cake and needed to reschedule. Sal was very understanding and accommodating.The cake turned out perfect and is THE BEST gluten free, vegan cake I have ever had. We will be coming back for any future parties or events. I cannot recommend this bakery enough. Thank you, Sal!!

Biggest assortment of baked goods I’ve come across. The woman who helped me was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I am super impressed and will be enjoying my sweet treats. I got vegan and was not disappointed AT ALL. The donut was warm and fresh and the macarons were the perfect texture and sweetness.

Really good gluten free options. Its been so long since Ive had a breakfast burrito because of the wheat flour in tortillas. This place has some deliciously huge gluten free breakfast burritos! This is such an amazing find! Both my daughter and I are Gluten Sensitive. My best friend is Gluten Free Vegan and I am also a diabetic. My Gal Sals has everything to make all kinds of folks happy. Its so good that I can go with friends and everyone can find something that they can eat! The KETO offerings mean that I can enjoy some of my favorite desserts and not feel guilty! The food is delicious and my daughter goes crazy for the macarons with all the fantastic flavors. The cake pops are absolutely delicious and come in so many different options - they were the perfect option for me when choosing a Staff Appreciation Gift of Cake Pops for Painted Rock Academy and Sal generously added extra cake pops at no charge. Everything is tastes amazing. Donuts, donut holes, muffins, cinnamon rolls, eclair, and their vegan breakfast burrito tastes really good. Only issue I had with the burrito is too much cheese. I think if you were to put half the amount of cheese in it, it would be less salty.

I love bread. A few years ago I learned that health problems I was having was because I should not eat wheat or eggs. I have adjusted to living that way. When I found this place I was surprised that they had gluten-free vegan options. This is the first time I have had real homemade quality baking in years. It is wonderful.

My Gal Sals is by far the best gluten free bakery in town. As someone with Celiac Disease, Sal has been an absolute godsend to me. I seriously cannot explain how much I love this bakery and the woman who owns it. All GF items are made and stored in a separate area from regular items. They also have a gigantic keto and regular bakery selection. Their lunch and breakfast menus are just as inclusive. Sal and her employees even know me by name at this point and leave cute notes in my take out. Recently, I ordered 6 large sugar cookies for fun and told Sal not to worry about the decorations too much. She went above and beyond and even told me hearts because we love you here!I seriously cannot recommend this place enough and would encourage people of all diets and lifestyles to check it out. You will not get a small town feeling like this from many other places in Phoenix.

My Gal Sal really came through! The service was the best I’ve encountered and cake is amazing…we are eating it as I’m writing this review. It was my first time purchasing from this place. I called her this morning for an emergency Keto cake for tonight for my brother’s birthday…he’s a fitness buff! She was very nice and was happy to take my order to make for the same day. I was running late to pick it up and she literally waited 15 minutes passed the closing time for me. I greatly appreciate her flexibility and kindness! I will definitely make this my to go spot for future occasions.

We ordered cookies for a Valentines Sweets Box to pass out to residents at our apartment community and they were perfect for our featured dessert. The sugar cookies were wonderfully decorated and the macarons were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We would definitely use My Gal Sal Bakery again!

I first heard about My Gal Sal about 5 months ago when my mom ordered a gluten-free vegan banana cake for my birthday, and hands down this cake is the best one Ive had in my entire life! I also recommend their cookies, cupcakes, cake pops and muffins! Since I eat a mainly plant-based diet, it can be tough finding options to satisfy my sweet tooth. Thankfully My Gal Sal has tons of allergen and diet friendly options! I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone and will continue to use their business for future events!

So many vegan gluten free options and food tastes really good. Recommend the breakfast burrito. As with any allergy sensitive restaurant just make sure you’re very clear when you place your order and they will have you taken care of!

Tasty treats. We got two vegan cupcakes, a few vegan macaroons, and a slice of Oreo cake. The macaroons were delicate and delicious. The cupcakes were not quite as good as I hoped. I heard the cake was good.

My Gal Sal always ALWAYS comes through! I get all my vegan and customs cakes made here. She has recreated so many wonderful themes for my kid’s and family member’s birthdays. Not only do the cakes look phenomenal, they taste even better! The attention to detail on each cake has been exceptional and every bite tastes better then the next. Her vegan cakes are one of a kind as well! I don’t know how she does it!

First let me start by saying it was not easy finding a bakery that would bake a vegan birthday cake... but every one should be able to enjoy cake on their birthday.... I was then recommended My Gal Sal after almost giving up on finding one.. and I am so glad they did! They were so easy to chat with through e-mail and they really made my vision come true! The best part isn’t even the looks of the cake, it was the taste! My god... it was amazing. Only the birthday girl was vegan but EVERYONE was in agreement that it was one of the best cakes they had ever tasted. Super moist! Super yummy! I have never thought about birthday cake the next day, but I want a slice now! I will be returning to My Gal Sal in the future for any bakery needs!!! 5 stars!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Miss Sal. Her bakery is clean, welcoming, and has a wide variety of treats/food to choose from. I contacted her with an unusual request, though - not to make a custom cake - but to see if she would be willing to be interviewed by my young child for a school project. Miss Sal responded quickly and actually said, yes! I was flabbergasted that a busy business owner was willing to take time out of their schedule to help. (I contacted multiple bakeries, she was the only one who responded.) Miss Sal is sweet, kind, compassionate, cares about her community, and eager to teach and inform. She gave a wonderful interview and was patient and encouraging with my young child. Not only does she make wonderful food/desserts, she is just a good, kind person. Thank you Miss Sal!

Today was one of the most important days of my life and Sal made it that much more special. From the first time experience with this bakery I was impressed. We tried numerous other bakeries around, and they were good, but the flavors here were the most authentic. When I contacted Sal through email about a custom wedding cake she was completely accommodating. We went through a long series of emails working out the details and the final results were beyond what I envisioned.The cake was delicious. The top layer was carrot cake and the bottom layer was banana. We also got a slice of gluten free carrot cake for my sister. Everyone raved about how good the cake tasted. My best friend’s husband was disappointed that the bakery was already closed for the day when they left the wedding. He wanted more cake at home.I will be using My Gal Sal’s bakery for any future baked goods.

I ordered a Vegan lemon birthday cake for my friend. It was absolutely delicious and everyone loved it. The ordering process was easy and I was able to pay over the phone. The pick up process was super easy as well and the employee I dealt with was very friendly. I will definitely be ordering more cakes and goodies from My Gal Sal in the future!

Vegan chocolate birthday cake. The kids loved it. Couldnt even tell it was missing eggs and dairy! Will order again. Oh and vegan donuts are delicious just make sure to eat them when they are still warm.

We had such a wonderful experience for my daughter’s first birthday! She made an all natural smash cake and cake pops for our party. We have egg, nut and gluten allergies in our family. She took these allergies very serious which gave me total confidence in our order. My mother in law has a severe gluten allergy and uses testers to make sure there’s no gluten found in her food. The gluten tester came back with no gluten found 🎉 It was my nieces first cake pop and she was in heaven. We are very happy and I can’t wait to go back! lol

I was really impressed by this place. They sale KETO gluten free, paleo abs regular desserts abs other things. We got strawberry cake and a salted caramel brownie...non keto because we were on vacation. Usually I would have gone keto.

It is just not good! We have tried about 4 times Keto and Gluten Free and it does not taste good. The customer service is definitely not very warm at all!Reply: Giving the bakery many tries and yeilding the same experience each time, what good would calling to tell the owner?

We worked with Sal to provide some mini desserts for a wedding and she did an incredible job. She spent so much time working with us to make the desserts work with several dietary restrictions, including custom-baking an entire batch of one allergy-friendly dessert! Everything looked great and was delicious.

I worked here when this bakery first opened. I left because I moved to Cali (boyfriends job transfer). Boy do I miss working here. The best respectable and professional owner and working environment ever. The owners heart is in this business and you can tell by how she treats her employees, the customers, the cleanliness and how organized the kitchen is. I also miss the great desserts and the regular customers. If I move back to Phoenix I will beg to get my job back. Love coming back to Phoenix for the holidays and going in for breakfast or lunch. My favorite cake is the Sals chocolate cake. It saddens my heart to read a couple of rude, unprofessional and cruel reviews. It is obvious it is a jealous competitor or a disgruntled ex employee or a difficult hard to please customer (we had a few of them when I worked here and Sal handled them professionally. First time ordering a Gluten Free cake. My daughter was turning 4 July 10. She can eat anything. Dad and Nephew are Celiac- need GF. I wanted a break from cooking GF so I ordered a chocolate GF cake. No embellishments. We also ordered a sampler to take home.I was stunned that the 6 inch cake cost $46.50. No wonder they do not list the prices. My expectations were high- for that price, the cake must be good. It was given to me in a flimsy pastry box. Knowing that GF items dry out quickly - a plastic cake container would have been better.I was so disappointed with the sampler - the texture was gritty and dry. Then there was the cake. Husband and nephew were beyond disappointed They each had 1 bite and said it had a weird flavor and was dry and crumbly. So I took a bite - the worst cake ever. So dry and gritty - even the kids wouldnt eat it.We threw the entire cake away.I have been cooking GF for over 28 years before Celiac was even herd of. I dont know what mixture of flours they are using for their chocolate cake but it is not edible. I just wanted a break from baking but learned my lesson. I think I may even bake a few things and take it to them so they can taste the difference and the texture.You shouldnt be able to tell the cake is GF. It defiantly should not be DRY and crumbling. Especially with the improvements over the past 28 years with GF flour mixtures, expanders, etc. The different flours are not expensive and there is no reason the tiny 6 in cake should cost $46. I could have made 8 cakes for that price.I called and left a message - I did not get a response.

My Gal Sal made cupcakes for my daughter’s wedding. They were perfect! We had chocolate with a ganache filling and also vanilla with raspberry mousse. The frosting wash fashioned like a garden of flowers. Everyone commented on how yummy they tasted and how beautiful they were. I highly recommend this wonderful bakery. Buy local!!

I ordered the mini desserts and a small two tiered red velvet cake for my granddaughters wedding shower. The cake was decorated exactly as I asked for. It was so lovely and was the best red velvet cake I have ever had. The frosting was to die for! Everyone raved about it all, the macaroons, cannolis, lemon bars!! Im about 4 weeks late with my review but better late than never.I just have to say Thank you! My husband and I travel a lot and I didnt realize that wed be home for his birthday until the day before. I was scrambling to find a bakery to get his favorite German chocolate ordered on short notice. I called My Gal Sal Bakery at about 1pm the day before I needed it. The lady that answered the phone was so sweet and professional and told me shed have to check real quick. When she came back on the phone she said that she could get me my cake the next day. I ordered the larger size and told me approximately when itd be ready.The next day it was ready when she stated and looked gorgeous! The family and my husband couldnt wait until after dinner to have a slice. It was so good that my husband said that he hadnt had a great German chocolate cake like that since he was a child, about 34 years ago. He said he could feel the love baked into it. LolLooking forward to trying their other cakes now.Again, thank you for coming through for us wish an awesome cake on short notice.

The gravy is creamy and perfectly seasoned with small pieces of tasty sausage. Makes me smile every time.Also had several sandwiches, clam chowder and a breakfast burrito. Their KETO selection is amazing! I tried a vanilla cupcake and a brownie and both were delicious. They also have a binder with all of the the ingredients/macros for each item so you really know what youre eating. I will definitely be back to try more.

Absolutely disgusting gluten free desserts. everything tasted sour, old and frozen. when thawed out everything tasted freezer burned or like its been sitting in a fridge for weeks before sold. I wouldnt recommend.

So good! I have celiac disease and I do not consume cow dairy, they have all the different types of accommodations for people like me. They even have their own baking/cooking space for strictly gluten-free foods to ensure less changes of cross contamination.

Great little bakery for sweets and breakfast. They take gluten-free seriously. The gluten free biscuits and gravy are excellent as are the croissants (not gluten free). They take pains to avoid cross contamination and have a separate prep room for gluten free. They also do dairy free, egg free and sugar free in any combination.

Today we ordered some sweet treats and they did not disappoint!! We will be returning many times to celebrate big and small days!

Came in to pick up some treats for our Gluten free friends. While waiting, we and the kids sampled some of the other treats. Delicious. Awesome service. My wife and I looked at each other and both said were coming back.

So fresh and warm we had to wait until we were half way home to try them 🤤 they have many vegan & gluten free options which made me so happy! These donuts literally melted in our mouths, toddler approved for sure and the only issue is that they arent closer 😂 cant wait to try the cake pops we got lol

My brother-in-law went in to pick up a birthday cake for his daughter (today). The cake looked exactly as requested!!Unfortunately on the drive home, to avoid hitting a car in front of him, my brother hit the brakes and the cake slid off the seat and was ruined. However, he was able to get in contact with the owner and relay what happened.The owner and her staff made room in their schedule to have us bring the cake back (same day) and they fixed it for us. My family (including one very happy 12 year) are very grateful to Sal and everyone at the bakery/eatery!!We will definitely be back!!

Over and over again I have tried the food here and it has no flavor what so ever. On top of that I dont think this owner understands how to treat the people that work for her. The turn rate of people here is ridiculous. Stop paying people under the table and stop ridiculing the people that work for you. Your customers are watching.

Pretty sure all their baked goods are frozen. Or at least the two I had were. It tasted aggressively okay.Also, on organization, I would suggest they have one case of gluten free things and one case of wheat things. Just to further prevent any cross contamination.

Honestly I was so disappointed. There were more cranberries than muffin and it tasted stale. The displays they have are deceiving for what you actually end up with. Just isnt worth the money when each dessert is about $4.

We just had our first but not our last visit to My Gal Sal. The staff immediately greeted us and offered suggestions. We ended up buying a few sweets which were all very delicious. Right before we left we had a nice conversation with the owner Sal who was very nice. The people who were seated next to us had no problems telling us how great this place is and spoke highly of the food. The prices were more than fair given the quality of their products. We will certainly be back.

I am grateful for the dear friend who showed me this locally owned bakery and restaurant! Gluten Free and Vegan options are wonderful. My husband loves their baked goods too. The service is wonderful and Sap the owner was such a gem! She encouraged us to let her know if there was anything they could do - great experience and Ill be back again and again. Thank you Sal and staff!

Called to find out about their vegan desserts. They were already out of many and held 2 chocolate vegan cupcakes for us. They were very good. Bought 2 vegan cake pops too! Will be trying them tomorrow.

We just tried this bakery and it was sooo amazing! We got their gluten free vegan cupcakes and cake pops and LOVED every bite! We totally want to try one of the breakfasts and lunches too... youve got to stop by this place!

Visited Sat afternoon. Service is typically great. Feeling here is similar to a place in Columbus I liked.

I would give Zero or negative one. Food took almost 1 hour, and the other two couples were done eating before we got our food. Called and complained and she said she said sorry but I couldn’t tell with her tone on the phone. I asked for refund and owner starts crying telling me she has lost a family member recently, they are totally busy and there was nothing wrong with the food. Coming from a restaurant manager, you cannot use that as excuse for bad service. I asked for a refund and someone else decided to pay for it so she wouldn’t have a loss. Should of been done then, Refund and happy, but No, she was screaming at me and made another employee give me the refund as she walked to the back. Zero professionalism. Own your mistake and make it right. I gave your food back, you give me a refund. She took the money from another customer, totally wrong! Gave them my food, totally wrong, I could of spit in or added laxative. Against health code 100%. Now no food, hangry and writing this review. Talked to many people at the conference about how bad our experience was. Someone needs to teach them to say sorry and mean it. Words and actions are different. Your actions did not show you were sorry.I am sorry I had to write this...... do you believe that? I don’t believe you for saying sorry either.In every bad review you have received you point the finger back at the customer, again own your bad service. We can all have bad days, today was one of them.

I cant sing the praises loud enough for this cozy little bakery. The artistry, quality, and care that goes into their products is obvious, and they have amazing selections for all sorts of dietary needs.
