This place is really great. The techs are super knowledgeable and Ive had my problems solved each time Ive gone. They replaced the screen on my Pixel 5 in under an hour and everything worked great. My wifes iPhone was having sound issues and they fixed it in 10 seconds and basically saved our relationship. Would recommend.
I cannot say enough good things about this service. On multiple visits to repair my laptop, they were friendly, highly skilled, helpful, responsive, and amazingly generous with time and advice.I went to Ubreakifix after the adapter for my laptop was damaged in a fall. My high-end local computer consultant for many years had told me that the charging port was also damaged and that fixing it would be too expensive to bother with. He assured me the computer was “useless,” and sold me a newer refurbished version as a replacement. Since the original was high quality and lightly used, I decided to see if anything was salvageable, so I called around for more advice.The technician at Ubreakifix in Bloomfield said he’d take a look at it and see what could be done. Imagine my surprise when he told me the port wasn’t damaged at all, but only dislodged! He secured it and handed the laptop back, refusing any payment for his time and effort. After I bought a new hard drive and adapter for a total of about $100, this individual was efficient and generous in helping me to overcome other glitches to reinstall Windows and get the WiFi connection working again.I can’t remember when I have felt so well cared for as a customer anywhere. The technician was great about explaining things as he worked, so I came away much more knowledgeable, as well. What a pro! Ubreakifix is my go-to computer consultant from now on.

Nothing good to say. Spent 5 hours waiting on a screen repair. Witnessed about 6 customers out of 8 that seemed unhappy from a range of complaints from a cumbersome process where they do not hold devices overnight, to one gentleman who came in with an appointment and was turned away because of walk ins. One of the walk ins after the appointment was turned away offered a tip. He got taken today. My price changed from booking online to arrival increasing 37 dollars and they gave my device back to me broken. Because it has a faulty sensor that has nothing to do with the screen. They told me i can take it somewhere else. They wont fix it. I have actually had a device repaired at another ubreak before. After today... i would just buy new... or find somwhere else. I saw nothing that would have me consider coming here again... ever. An update... i really wish i could give them less than 1 star. Not only did they waste my sunday. But when they went to rebreak my phone because they wouldnt sell me the repair. They hastily put it back together and the charging port is not properly aligned. I cannot charge my phone now. This might be the worst service i have ever received.
Hands down the worst tech repair store I have ever dealt with. Ive been to this store 7 times for the same issue - 3 within 1 week - trying to get a screen repair. Ive been told there is only 1 person working so they cant fix it (come back tomorrow), my appointment didnt show (come back tomorrow), they needed at least 2 hours to fix it (come back next week)(Samsung says 1 hour to fix), etc. Schedule an appointment via Samsung yesterday, get a call saying they dont have a part and reschedule me for today. Show up, get told my phone isnt covered under warranty (Samsung says different) and it will be $300+ to fix it, fine, Ill battle that with Samsung. Comes back out front, part isnt in, no phone call and a half asked apology after I said I would not be coming back. Insanely unprofessional, and Im sure the quality of their work is just as poor. Dont waste your time here.
I had my screen repaired on my phone here and when I came to pick it up it was saying “no SIM card detected”. The employee took it in the back then came out 5 minutes later telling me I had to go to Verizon and get a new SIM card because that one wasn’t working. He also assured me the SIM card would be free through Verizon. After 2 hours at the Verizon store just to get a new SIM card that I had to pay for, the phone still did the same thing. I returned the next day and they fixed it free of charge, so apparently it was something hardware related that they did not repair properly. 3 days later I pulled my phone out of my pocket to a black screen and when I plugged it in I would get an error message. Since I had such a poor experience at this location I decided to take it to the north hills location since it was still under the 90 day warranty. When I came to pick up my phone from the north hills location they informed me that my phone was missing parts and that’s what caused my issue. So not only did they not fix my phone correctly the first time, when I returned it under a warranty issue they didn’t even put it back together right. Absolutely horrible way to run a repair business. Save yourself some time and headaches and just take it to the north hills location
UBreakiFix was unable to repair my phone screen. For 165 dollars they installed a new screen, which did not seal properly. After returning several times they reglued the screen, bit it is now coming apart again. They said they cannot do anything else about it. I contacted customer service and opened a ticket but they did not get back to me. Terrible experience.2 months update. After 2 months the screen completely separated and now it is not working. I moved abroad so I am stuck with a broken phone. Disaster.

TheyBreakuFix.I have never written a review before but this was the worst experience I have had with a business ever. Ruined my laptop. I had a small crack in my laptop screen which otherwise was running great. I thought since this was an easy fix Id drop it off at the nearby uBreakiFix. I dropped it off on December 28, 2020 and was told it would not be a problem to fix but it may take two weeks as they were a bit backed up. I said that was fine and then waited three weeks without hearing anything. I called and was told they had ordered the wrong part and it would take another week. I waited another three weeks and did not hear anything. I show up in person and was told they had again ordered the wrong part and it would take another week. At this point, I was frustrated but strange things can happen and so I decide to wait another two weeks to ensure they had enough time to get the part and fix it. Again, I hear absolutely nothing from them. I show up after the two weeks (we are now into March over two months after I dropped it off) and am told yet again they had ordered the wrong part. At this point, I ask for my laptop back and am told they need 15 minutes to put it back together. After 15 minutes, I am given my laptop back but with a different charger. I return home, turn on the computer only to see the screen is now entirely cracked and destroyed and the display was absolutely wrecked. To recap, we have gone from a small crack to an entirely destroyed screen. (I was told later by someone that it was likely they attempted to pry the screen off as if it was an iPhone. Totally incompetent.) I return to the store and am told they will (again) order the right part and give it to me free to go to someone else. I wait (another) week and without hearing from them show up only to have them state that they would do the repair for me. I say thanks but no thanks and mercifully they gave me the new screen they had ordered without much hassle. I take it to another technician who informed me it was (again) the wrong freaking part and did not fit on my laptop. Fortunately, the new (competent) technician was able to order the right part and fix it in a few hours. Took him a total of 4 days for the part and fix. Great, right? Well, yes but remember that wrong charger they gave me? Now, I have a workable screen but the battery will not charge and is running so slow when plugged in as to be unworkable. I have ordered a new charger which I can only hope will resolve this issue. It is now the middle of April.Again, I went from a small crack to having no workable laptop and out several hundred dollars thanks to these clowns. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all hazards.
Took my iPad in for a screen replacement. When I got home, I noticed that in one corner the screen was peeling up and the home button was installed slightly slanted. Following the 2nd repair attempt, things looked good at first, but within a week the screen is now lifting up on two sides now and the home button is even more slanted.Based on this experience there’s really no point taking anything here for repair. You Will likely pay more taking it to the Apple but at least you hopefully get better quality of repairs.
This place is great. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Ive come here for both a phone repair as well as my laptop. They repaired an issue with my phone microphone in 2 minutes on the house. When my laptop had issues they were able to order in the replacement part and repair in just a few days and were very reasonable on the price. Both devices work great and Ive had no issues since. Highly recommend!

I went to this place 4 times, for a USB-C port issue with a Samsung phone under warranty. I told them about the specific component that needed to be replaced, and ways to replicate the issue.They refused to even acknowledge the issue. They blamed my chargers, my cables, the Android Auto on my car (that was working perfectly fine for 6 months) and some mysterious *firmware issues*, but not the precious device that was their responsibility under warranty.I gave up and went to Tech-Nichols in Shadyside. They soldered just the replacement charging pin onto the charging board. The phone works flawlessly now - with the same car, the same chargers, and the same cables.
This place is awesome. They helped me with what I needed right as they were closing. Quick service, great prices, and friendly staff. I would recommend these people to anyone.
Listen, I never write reviews but the woman working today asked me to show my gratitude via review and here we are.My iPad Pro was TOAST because of a water bottle and I had completely lost hope and these guys PULLED THROUGH. If youre reading this, youre my HEROES. I *love* you. They completely replaced the hard drive and the screen at a deal of a price and I probably owe them a blood debt or something for how well it works. They also were really nice through the whole process. So, thanks guys.
Really awesome customer service. Very very polite. I saved money signing up for the home plus membership. They diagnosed my laptop and had it back up and running like new within a few hours.
I brought them two of my laptops so that they can do data transfer from an old laptop to a new one. They told me it will take up to 72 hours. But then they said it will take up 1 week. I was fine with that. When I came to grub my laptops after a week. The front desk guy told me that they were able to transfer only 5% of the data and to make the full transfer I need enclosure. But in the very beginning I asked to put everything in the enclosure. So I was fine with that too. I have to wait another week. When they came back after a week and wanted to check if the data was transferred to that enclosure it was absolutely empty, and that guy is like, you have to bring them to professionals, we are not doing that type of stuff. Can you imagine how mad I was? Not recommending this company to anyone, be aware they are not professional at all! They don’t know what type of work they’re doing. And they didn’t solve my issue.
I left my iPad with a broken screen a week ago. They said it would ship out that day and It would take a week at most. One week later, their tracking service says it hasnt been received. The locations phone number is out of service, I hung up after 30 minutes on hold with their 800 number, and their live chat didnt response in over 12 hours.
I took my friend to have her phone repaired. She has visual impairment. MICHAEL was wonderful! He saw there was just a little dirt in the corner of the charger port. Cleaned it out, it works! MICHAEL was so nice and knowledgeable. And there was no charge!

An awkward and poor first encounter.I called earlier today to ask about replacing my laptop battery. The individual on the phone was very helpful and kind in walking me through what the battery replacement process might be. He gave me a price estimate and said that if I leave a deposit I could even hold on to my laptop for school work until the battery arrives which should be 3-5 days.Pleased with how the call went, I walked into the store intending to have them run an initial diagnostic, order the part, place my deposit, and then leave until the battery arrived. When I walked in, no one was at the counter. Not uncommon during a slow day in any store. I waited at the front desk for a few moments until someone came forward. The worker slowly approached the desk without a word.How are you doing today I ask to begin conversation. He didnt say a word and just looked at me with what felt like an unimpressed look on his face. I then proceeded to walk through my laptop issues and gave him my laptop. He said they could run a free diagnostic and with the battery replacement process it would take about 2 weeks. Feeling unsure now, I asked if he could order the battery and I hold on to my laptop so that I can continue my school work until the battery arrives, to which he said no they cant. Again, the responses were short and awkward, and contrary to what I was told on the phone.A little frustrated, I packed up my laptop as he tried to sell me on an insurance plan to cover all my at home devices, I said no thanks and walked out the door.Now I decided Ill just order my own battery and YouTube how to replace it.I dont doubt that its a good company, the reviews generally say thats the case. But this was not a good interaction, and I went in fully willing to pay and wait to have the battery replaced, but left frustrated and not wanting to do business with them.
Ive been here twice - the first time, I was charged $250 for a phone repair, and the second, the store kept my laptop for two weeks before calling me to tell me they couldnt fix it.Then, I showed up at the store to pick it up, and was given some sales pitch for Asurion, which apparently uBreakIFix is now just a storefront for. Get this - they COULD actually fix my laptop (its a Windows, so its not like it cant be repaired third-party), but only if I started paying them monthly for Asurion! And even then, I would have to wait a month to file a claim.tl;Dr uBreakIFix is now just a device insurance racket masquerading as a repair shop. Go elsewhere.
Went and got my IPhone XR fixed there on a Saturday, only took two hours which was great and the staff was very friendly but the case I was recommended and payed $40 for did not protect my phone at all, even with a screen protector they threw in which was nice but was not all the way put on correctly (air bubble on the bottom right side) which I though I had smoothed down and was ok, but when I saw my first new crack Monday it was right there. I got it fixed on a Saturday and by Monday my phone was broken again. With less then 3 not high at all drops it’s cracked again, I’ve had Iphones before and the glass that they come with hold up better without any protection then the glass they put on my phone did. Cheap glass that won’t protect your phone. I ended up throwing my old beaten case back on because it is better then what I was given. $250 down the drain, I will not be returning there to get my phone fixed again.
I originally called ubreakifix and told them about the issues with my laptop. The employee I spoke to on the phone was not only friendly but had a knowledge about laptops that is second to none. Later, I went to the store and free of charge Connor fixed my laptop in a matter of minutes. Will recommend to anyone.
They were really great! My phone wasnt taking a charge and I had important business--of course. They checked it out, found a packed piece of lint, sent me on my way. Maybe it was minor for them, but I was grateful for their time! Made me feel like I was in a real neighborhood.
This place has gone completely downhill since it was acquired by asurion. They used to be friendly and honest about the repair process. Now they are rude and flippant. They now require a factory reset on your phone for all repairs, even battery replacements. That changes a 20 minute repair into a 2-hour plus repair. Then they left their diagnostic software on my phone and I had to waste time getting the passcode to remove it. DO NOT take your phone here! They also tried to overcharge by adding the cost of glue to the order. When I called them on it, they took it off and said it was an accident. However, they pulled the exact same stunt with other people I know. Instead, just go one block down and have it fixed at the other repair shop on Liberty.Will never go back here again.

I have had my iPad repaired here, and also they have helped me when part of the charger got jammed in my iPhone; they removed it on the spot and didn’t and charge me anything. Twice! They are so nice and helpful and do a great job for a reasonable price. This is the first store I visited in Pittsburgh when we moved here and it gave me a happy impression!

They were really nice, I had botched an old iPhone trying to take out the battery (I only needed it to back up). Instead of up charging me for a entire new screen. They suggested one of their chargers (mine at home wouldnt charge to that old phone to save my life) and the phone started working. I worked with Dexter and Bryce and these two were helpful and knowledgeable.

I came to them because my computer had stopped working and it needed to be fixed. Apparently I came at a bad time (they were overburdened with repairs) because it took them three weeks to fix my computer (their initial estimate was 1-2 weeks). Despite the wait, however, the fix was made free of charge which I am very grateful for. They are also very professional and welcoming, which is a big plus. Im sure if not for the pandemic their service would probably be much faster, as I assume a lot of people are staying inside using their devices more often.

Very quick service I dropped my phone on rocks cracked the front screen and camera thought it was going to cost a arm and leg literally without insurance but very reasonable and was done within a hour. This isn’t a review but a question, so do you guys fix Samsung smart TVs? To be specific a Samsung 6 series (65) curved.
My phone sat in their store for 48 hrs and was not tended to at all. Apparently they hired only one technician to deal with 30+ devices and since my phone wasnt a priority device (I didnt buy a warranty with them previously) it sat in a drawer. After being told that there was no definite time my phone would be looked at, I came and picked it up. It would be nice if they could at least say on their website We may not even look at your device for days, or weeks. That way I wouldnt have spent 2 days without a very much needed phone.
This store is much better than the one out in Robinson. They asked more questions, are more reasonable, and responsive. I appreciate that they have me a start and end time, then adhered to it.
Great place for quality service. Brought in a pc I built (first time ever building) that wasn’t working and was worried I messed it up. They told me 3-5 days and it would be ready to go. They called me 24 hours later and said it would be ready by eod the next day. Saved me so much stress and heart ache

We went to get a phone screen repaired they didnt have the part. They called another store in the area claiming they had the part we drove an extra 30 mins to find out they didnt have it either. Phone is still broken.

Terrible service. My boyfriend dropped his phone and had a cracked screen with a line through it. His phone insurance told him to come here. They said it would be done in 2 hours, after waiting almost 4 hours he got his phone back worse than it was when he dropped it off. Basically the whole screen was covered in the “line” and the touch screen wouldn’t work. The worker told him they couldn’t do anything and to contact his insurance.

I was able to walk in and have the staff help immediately with an inflated battery on a laptop. The two employees I saw were both very friendly and professional.

Brought my cell phone in with a broken charging port. No attempt was made to fix it. However the people who work here were very nice. Needless to say I ended up buying a new phone new case, new screen protector. Its a Samsung, hopefully if things go wrong they will be able to assist me next time .

UBreakiFix has serviced two different phones for me that the original manufacturers refused to repair. Theyre great, and always have a very quick turnaround with exactly the repair you needed. They were also very accommodating when I had a flight the next day and made sure to get the phone back with plenty of time to spare. Very highly recommended!

I had an unbelievably incredible experience here. I wanted my cracked Pixel 3a screen fixed as fast as possible so I made an appointment for the next day. They called me and offered an earlier slot (which was maybe luck on their part but it was perfect for me) and I took it up after they said it should be done within an hour. The shop was the CLEANEST electronics repair shop I have EVER seen. I loved reading the informative posters on the wall that told me what was actually in an LCD screen. The whole process took 45 minutes. I would have paid whatever it cost, and was pretty thrilled that it totalled $117. Everyone was nice and professional. This will forever be my first choice for electronic repairs.
