Good selection of dried snacks, seasonings, and frozen produce. Staff is pretty friendly and prices are fair. Produce is super cheap but very hit or miss, dont rely on its freshness. Lastly samosas and prepared goods are hot, fresh, and tasty. Very solid Desi store considering location and pricing.Edit: gave 5 stars due to great customer service - they always will check and often will have fresher quality produce in the back of asked.
Best Indian food store with a wide variety of Indian products. You can find famous Indian snacks, spices, rice and all kinds of grocery items. Fresh produce here are of good quality. Fresh Indian snacks like samosas and jalebi are also available here. I highly recommend this store.
A good variety of Indian food items. But some packaged items are not available in bigger quantities. So making the trip more often from where I live is harder.
They have good samosas here and though their fresh produce/veggies section is small (granted this is a small supermarket to begin with), it definitely has come in clutch to save me here and there with ingredients.
Went there to get Indian groceries - betel leaf and instant tea mix. This store is well stocked and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Produce is never fresh. Okra was almost rotten. Overall its a good store since you can get a lot of India spices and snacks.
Craving for Indian food then this is the best place to be.
Things are little expensive and you will never see any offers here just because they dont have competition in the city, that is why they are in business.
Very nice establishment I will definitely be back...
The service was excellent and I got just what I needed
Fresh produce like tomatoes and cucumbers- great place to grab dinner ingredients :)
Produce is delivered weekly on Tuesday. Check on Wednesday for best produce.
Good collection of items used typically in indian household.Good spices collection.
This little place has lots of great little gems inside, especially if youre looking for specialty Indian food items. The owners are kind and always make sure my son gets a Tiger Pop when we check out 🐅 He LOVES going there more than I do at this point! Im a sucker for the Idlis and Coconut Chutney and the Spinach Pakora. Since I live further away now I buy a LOT more when I go, which always seems to stimulate conversations between myself and other customers or the guys behind the counter. But all in all, I absolutely love this place and its worth the drive to come here every time. Parking can be a pain so Id suggest coming during off hours so you can park right in front of the entrance.
Good place to buy Indian groceries.
Well stocked and reasonably priced
Small Big Bazaar with very helpful owners.
All Asian desi things available.
They have a fair variety of Indian spices and foods. Most of the items are very reasonably priced. With a small corner store atmosphere. The parking is kind of is kind of limited. But if you go late I guess youre more likely to find a spot.
Just visited this store as it was closure to when I have moved into. First visit, although I have been in the country for 30 years. Not an ideal store to visit unless you do not mind searching for parking place. Despite the difficulty, I noticed the store charged me incorrectly. I bought one pack of Parle G but got charged for 2. I did not have the courage to visit the store again fearing the parking issue. The store is owned by Nepalis and the couple of young men who tried to assist me with the parking and shopping has to learn how to respect people. All-in-all, this would be only visit to this store.
Expired products and unreasonably expensive.
This Indian grocery store has almost everything that youd need. The prices are nominal and the staff is very friendly. They even have amazing Indian desserts.
Pretty decent place. I don’t go here a lot but sometimes. Not much to choose from since I am not Indian and I have never chosen Indian food before so but they got yummy treats like M&Ms and yeah...go look for yourself
Decent Indian grocery store. Not much space in terms of parking, which is a bit of a pain and the main reason why I give it just three stars. The fresh samosas at the register are good and worth a try.
Almost every Indian grocery available at this place. I love it. Thanks.
The owners are super helpful in finding things that you may not be familiar with. Excellent customer service.
Nice place to buy indian food ingredients
Its a bit cramped but they have all the essentials for Indian cooking. There is a produce section with basics and well stocked frozen foods. They also have a small section with Indian beauty/health products and another for kitchen utensils.
My first time to buy ingredients in an Indian grocery. Everything I needed was there in the spice shelves.dont bring a big vehicle to park in their parking lot because its hard to turn around I have a pickup truck.I drove around the place twice to find the parking lot and I still didnt find it I had to ask the sales clerk wheres the parking lot. next time Ill probably enjoy the shopping experience but I already bought a lot of spices that should keep me stocked for a while.
I love this little store. They have a nice selection of food from India and other countries in that region. Im a vegan, and there is a lot of food that I can eat here. The prices are nice too! They have frozen food, snacks, ready to eat stuff, rice, fresh produce, and some non-food items as well. The staff is always very friendly, so I enjoy coming back again and again.
Awesome place. The owner is friendly. I always had a good conversation with him. They also always have everything in stock.
Small Indian store, but packed with goodies you may want. They have got plenty, huge variety of fresh veggies, ready-to-eat food, hot, fresh snacks (samosas & sweets), packed savories, grocery items and many more. Dont let the stores simple and ordinary appearance deceive you. Need Indian stuff, go shop at Bombay Market.
Great selection of Indian sauces, frozen foods, and fresh produce basics.
If you are buying samosas at Whole Foods or Trader Joes, you are wasting money. Head up Centre to this well stocked market and buy a better product for a better price. The staff is helpful.
This is the best of all the Indian markets in the area. Wonderful selection of ayurvedic medicinals etc. Huge variety packaged goods. I did not notice anything expired or with expiry date missing. Staff very friendly. Better refrigerated section than most.
They sell lots of great spices, beans, deserts. It is also my go to place for Henna and hair oils.
You can find almost every indian food item here and staff is also very friendly.
Really nice place with a great staff and the best place to find all Indian products.P. S. The frozen items are highly recommended.
It was okay in my experience. Didnt find lot of products which are already available in similar stores.
Good amount of fresh vegetables and snack and cooking items. Good place for indian grocery
Great selection of bulk Indian spices. Also nice to have staple produce on hand to not have to make a separate grocery store trip. The associates at the grocery store were very friendly and helpful to locate any items I needed.
Found all I was looking for! If course here in Pittsburgh they have it all. A sizable Indian population. I eat much Indian food so I buy big . I you are looking for the occasional ingredient still is worth tbe money. A store I shopped in my hometown gave me good recommendations also and this store had them all. Being Carribean a co-worker told me they would have many authentic foods and spices we use.
I just moved to Pittsburgh and was looking for a place that has good prices on eastern foods and vegetables. I was very pleased with their prices on things like chickpeas, ginger, and spices. The lady even gave my son a candy!
Great place to find big varieties of Indian food, spices. All kind of flour, grains. Very nice and friendly staff
You get almost all Indian groceries here . Prices are relatively okay not that expensive..Some times you will not get fresh veggies but you have to make few turns during the week for fresh veggies.. shop gets them thrice a week ..
You can get almost all the food stuffs when you get nostalgic about home 🤤, but statutory warning its very costly 🙄.But cannot complaint, this is the only Indian store in the neighborhood.
Awesome place, you can get almost every Indian spices and raw food materials.
All the necessary India groceries and spices available. Really good and helpful management.
Good selection of Indian food. Maggi is always available! Found a few new vegetables that you dont get to see often as well. Prices are okay.
A very nice Indian grocery, but be careful about dates on products. Also I have never been able to figure out how prices are set. The same item may have two price stickers on it, but you may be charged a third price when you reach the till at the front of the store.
The store has mostly everything you need to cook Indian food, and is a bit cheaper than the other Indian stores in the vicinity. The frozen food section has a lot of variety. I found a few boxes of spices that were expired, but when informed to the management, it was promptly removed.
Great place for authentic Indian products, a little crowded. No parking.. crazy location, in the middle of the intersection. So at your own risk park at CVS and run across the street..
The boss is very rude to the customers. The prices for most of the products arent mentioned on the product. If you want to check the price, you have to take it to the counter and scan it and then decide if its worth it. Theyve got a good variety of Indian goods, though.
Compact store with everything youll need for indian cooking with very reasonable prices.
Great store for Indian groceries. Large selection. If you dont see something, ask. They have a massive storage and might have it in stock. 15 min walk from CMU. Worth making the trip.
Nice quick stop for Indian groceries. They have the usual rice, spices, Indian/Asian produce, frozen meals, juices and sodas, etc. The location is very convenient for college students in the area.Prices are as expected, with packaged foods being slightly more expensive than normal. Sometimes you can get great deals on produce, like a large bunch of parsley for $0.99. They have really good Desi-style yoghurt (dahi) and some traditional sweets ($$), too. Often, hot food is available for takeout.
Indian spices and food items are best found here. It maybe a bit costly compared to others, but if you craving indian spices do go here
Good variety of indian stuff, although a little pricey over other american stores for similar stuff
Love this place. Great selection and consistent.
One stop shop for all food Indian... Conveniently located on the main road, with a bus stop right in front of it and on-street parking nearby. Prices are okay. Fruit and vegetable collection could be improved.
Cute store filled with everything you could imagine from incense to ingredients for food and they even have home-made food up front
Indian groceries
Very helpful to have this around, feels like back in India. Convenient and saviour for all the Indians out there.
I love this place. They have every spice you could ever want as well as pre-made and microwavable foods. They also have vegetable samosas that you can buy for $1 at the counter that are sooooo good.
This is the only place that has matta rice and eastern curry powders in Pittsburgh. They have many brands and the shop keeper is very friendly. Love the fresh samosas and gulab jamun. But the shop is very congested and there is limited parking in the backside which doesnt have a ramp to take the cart down. I wish they would think about expanding.
We shop here all the time. One of the better places in Pittsburgh. Fruit and veg not always fresh.
I was pleasantly surprised when I entered Bombay. It was much larger than I expected and has ample produce at better prices than Giant Eagle. Two thumbs up.
Excellent collection of indian food items, always fresh and reasonably priced. Bombay mart is the place for your indian food in Pittsburgh.
Quality products and nice people. The samosas are amazing!
Clean place. Has most of the immortal groceries you need. Importantly, great friendly staff!
One stop shop for all Indian ingredients, spices and ready to eat food
Descent sized Indian store . Most widely used by students and preferred over other ones in the region.Well connected by 71 A and C and CMU and UPitt Shuttles
Looking for Ethnic, Caribean and Indian food. Best fresh food in the Burgh
Authentic Indian ingredients and fantastic samosas!
The staff is friendly and helpful and the selection is more broad than other Indian food stores in the area. They have great prices.
U get some stuff from India which is great. However, the guy runs a monopoly, all the items.are overpriced. He just slaps on prices at will. I guess all indians would benefit from a competing store selling the same goods.
Store is good.. Mostly Indian food is there...
Good variety of items but is very crammed up!
Im from Bombay and I realize now that all the stuff I brought along with me was completely unnecessary because I couldve bought all of it here. It doesnt just have Bombay based foods though. Any Indian item you need, youre extremely likely to find it here. If you dont, you can tell the owner and hell try to source it for you. The only downside is that its a tad bit pricey.
Great selection of specialty ingredients, produce, and snacks. The samosas and jalebi are bangin.
You can find everything Indian in here. From paneer to snacks and even the ready to eat mixes. Got my sim card from here as well.
Good place to buy Indian stuff. All spices and ready to eat stuff available at reasonable prices
For Indian its heaven. But prices are too high. So buy only those things which are not available in other places
Ive been going here whenever I need special ingredients for years. They have fresh samosas for a dollar if you need a snack.
Average Place, no clue about prices on products which make difficult decide to take or not.
Good variety of grains, spices, nuts, etc. You can buy in huge bulk bags or smaller portions. Lots of frozen and refrigerated foods including meals and pre-cut vegetables. They also have warm prepared foods that Ive heard are delicious (though I got there close to closing so they had put those away by then). They have some produce as well, though some of it seemed to be a little too ripe, but I wouldnt knock buying any at all. Oh, they also have a good selection of pre-made Indian sweets in both fridge and freezer, which is what I was primarily looking for. I got the dry mix because I couldnt decide. Yum.
Very helpful staff. Reasonably priced
Has decent variety of groceries.
Its good store. I do recommend.
Fresh samosas available here for a buck. Huge variety of dry indian food, fresh food includijg exotic Asian vegetables and fruits, and frozen yummies. Reasonably priced and the owner was very nice.
Great place for Indian groceries. You also get most vegetables. Price reasonable.
Good folks, fair prices.
Good price for spices and carries high-quality spice brands
Convenient place for Indian grocery but sometimes you might find expired food items
Definitely a great place to go to buy Indian groceries. Got a good samosa too!
You can get every possible Indian food item here, at reasonable prices. Fresh fruits and vegetables are also available, and the variety of frozen Indian food is tremendous
Great store with good prices, and the somosas are so good!
If you want Indian Groceries, this is the perfect store.
Very well stocked with spices and Indian products. My one request would be to have more spices available in small packages (like 50 g or smaller)
