Wow what a great experience!With that being said I absolutely dreaded buying a mattress for the past year and a half until I finally built up the courage to just get it done. When I went to Levin in Shadyside Kyle made me feel like family! He hooked me up with the perfect mattress that I could never have picked by myself. He made the experience so pleasurable that I can’t wait to buy another mattress!5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!!

Nothing but the best from Kyle! Be sure to ask for him when you enter the store. He did everything in his power to make sure I picked out the perfect mattress for my liking. By far the comfiest thing I’ve ever slept on.
Too pushy. Im dealing with anxiety so I dont like that. I just want to look. If I have questions Ill ask. After question is answered dont keep bombarding me with a gazillion details. Reminds me of shoe salesman back in the day. Understand theyre trying to sell their merchandise but that tactic doesnt work well for everyone. Thats why I havent been back. Id like to come back because I am interested air mattress but I dont want them hovering over me like a vulture. Sorry, not sorry.

THEY HAVE ALMOST ALREADY PASSED THE TWO WEEK MARK.EVEN WORSE BUYER Beware AND NOW NO FOLLOW THROUGH FROM THEM. THEY TELL YOU THEY WILL FOLLOW UP AND THEN THEY NEVER CALL.Our experience in trying to make a return has been horrendous. When we bought two extra long twin purple mattresses and the temper-pedicure ergo adjustable frames (recommended to use with the mattresses), we were told that if we did not like it, we could return it with no problem. We did not like the twin mattresses nor the adjustable frames. The store finally agreed to take back the mattresses and credit us for the purchase of a new one. They would not take back the adjustable frames - which we do not like and do not use. They sold it to us as a set but would not take it back as a set. They did not tell us that when we purchased the items. All they promoted was how easy it is to return items if we were not satisfied. We are not satisfied and cannot return the frames. So buyer beware.SO THEY RESPONDED AND I CALLED AS SUGGESTED. SPOKE WITH A GENTLEMAN WHO SAID THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME. THAT WAS ALMOST A WEEK AGO AND I HAVE HEARD NOTHING.EVEN WORSE. THEY WROTE A WEEK AGO SAYING SOMEONE WOULD CONTACT ME. IM STILL WAITING.
Excellent service. Although we did not like the original furniture that we purchased, the store gladly worked with us on a return solution and helped us with a different furnishing option. Our new furniture is great and we greatly appreciate the members at Levin for working with us.
Usually buying a mattress is a hassle, but Kyle Everette made my purchase pleasurable. I was extremely impressed with his level of knowledge on each type of mattress, the cleanliness of the store, and the smile/warm greeting I received from every employee. Best prices around, and I’m extremely satisfied with my product and the service!
Ray Very found us the perfect mattress based on our convoluted description of what we found comfortable. He was patient and well-informed, and made the whole mattress selection process pleasant. The mattress was also delivered in a timely manner, with great tracking updates so we didnt have to sit around waiting for the delivery. Highly recommend Ray and the store!

I walked into the Shadyside Levin store this summer and I found the salesman and mattress of my dreams. The manager ‘Kyle E’ and the mattress ‘99 Queen’ were a match made in heaven! This simple and easy mattress purchase has changed everything for the better in my day to day life. I would recommend this place to anyone!

As an adult adulting for the first time far away from home everythings very new. But thanks to Kyle I was able to easily and comfortably purchase a bed. He has amazing customer service skills and was the best help I couldve asked for. I was completely clueless going in but Kyle helped by giving me all the information I asked for and by being patient. Ray at the Shadyside location was very knowledgeable, listened to our needs and what we had shopped at other locations prior to stopping into this location. Got a bed frame, it was the wrong size, and they dont accept returns on bed frames. Id give them a one star, but frankly, its partially on me for not asking about the return policy prior to purchase.Employees are perfectly nice, but the stores policies seem a bit stingy.Update: Im not sure how to reply, but Ive already purchased a working mattress frame from a place with a sane return policy, and it feels a little backwards to return the good one to them just so I can get another one from a store thats stingy about returns. Its not really about the money at this point, Im just really annoyed about the policy.

Bought a mattress in 2015 and had it stored for a year because I went on deployment for a year, so overall only used their mattress for about 4 years. The sales person touted the 10+ year warranty which reassured any doubts of the mattress deforming any time soon. However, the mattress developed body impressions as described by their customer support which they said was normal and did not qualify for a warranty claim.Gave 2 stars because they actually responded to my inquiry, but know that a $1k mattress will develop dips in less than 4 years, even with monthly rotating, that require chiropractor adjustments, and they wont honor the warranty if your body impression isnt greater than 1.5. In the photo theres a 1 dip but because of the padded top layer it feels more like +2 before you get support.Update:I added a star because their customer service is quite responsive where the initial inquiry replied back the same night and a follow up call in regards to this review in the same day. However, theyre strict about their manufacturer warranty and didnt resolve my issue. If you have anxiety about warranties and quality, then know that they dont operate in the customers interest but corporates. I had hoped they had a smarter way to evaluate body impressions like 1 dip in 4 years is going to be greater than 1.5 by the end of a10 year warranty, why make the customer suffer until then?
Was going to buy a sofa at Ikea, and just decided on a whim to stop by the Shadeyside store. Ray, the assistant manager, was incredibly helpful, not overbearing, and I couldnt believe I found a sofa that was 100% more comfortable and about 30% cheaper than Ikea. For a small city store they had a decent selection. Would absolutely recommend to Pitt/CMU students/UPMC students and residents looking for affordable sofas and chairs

Kyle E was friendly and seemed genuinely passionate about what he does. He was like the mattress wizard. I feel almost as if I could ask him anything about mattresses and he would have an answer and a personal story right away. He talked about his long line of careers in selling mattresses and I would say it really showed. I had a bed for a year, but it collapsed and was now sleeping on an air mattress. Coming into Levin I was looking for durability, a mattress that would last me the 4 years, instead of the one year the other did. Kyle directed me to beds that had the best balance of quality and price range that fit my exact wants and needs. Every bed I tried out felt very supportive and comfortable, even the ones at lower price ranges so it was difficult to decide. Kyle let me know realistically that if I were concerned about price and only going to be here for 4 years, he recommended the lower price range beds. He claimed that they would last 4 years and if I were to stay longer then he would recommend the higher price beds since they are more durable. Not only did he find potential beds for me, but it was almost like he laid out an educated purchase plan for me. I was surprised because I am used to people trying to upsell everything. It was clear at that point he was honestly trying to find the perfect bed for my specific needs and truly had my best interest at heart. I felt incredibly comfortable asking him questions and never felt forced into anything. He was the only worker in the store, and I thought his attentiveness was top notch. He was able to rotate between three different groups of customers with ease and never let anyone feel ignored. I was totally overwhelmed with all the bed choices before coming to Levin but after seeing the quality of their beds and the unforgettable service I narrowed down my choices to two quite affordable beds $500-$800. Before coming I had been disenchanted with the whole mattress industry but my interaction with Kyle really changed my perspective. In the future, I will recommend anyone I know looking for a mattress to go to Levins at Baum Blvd. What a great experience!

Excellent furniture and good sales that go on in November and December. Amish built furniture is sold here also. Best option is to pay off anything you bought in 90 days so you dont have to such high interest.

Great deal on furniture year end sale. Its been goo so far. I give a 4 instead of a 5 because they forgot one of my dining room chairs even after they assured me it would be there. So when I went back to pick it up they already had it assembled which was nice of them, however, my friends went to sit on it and it almost broke because they decided not tighten the bolts. Thanks for almost doing something awesome. I guess youll have that. The furniture is great though as long as its assembled properly.

Assistant manager Myleek told us the sectional we ordered in store would be in stock in about two weeks- that turned into five. I clearly stated as soon as I met him that I am in a very tight city apartment with my specific measurements and that there’s an immediate staircase and railing the couch must fit over. He had no maximum measurements to provide me that would indicate the item being too big to fit. I found that odd and unprofessional. He said they would just pack it up, bring it and try it, which seems to be wasteful of everyone’s time not being sure. Several weeks later I called asking where my couch was and they had no information to provide me besides they didn’t have it. Customer service finally called five weeks later to try scheduling delivery but I’m obviously unable to answer while working and they wouldn’t leave a voicemail so I found out days later when I called myself and they told me they tried. Delivery day came and the men immediately predicted it would not fit they measured all angles and decided it wouldn’t work. They said the sales people do not listen to their word when they communicate with them what works and what doesn’t. The delivery man was courteous and offered a recommendation of a smaller sectional but I will be taking a refund and going to a different furniture store as I will not wait almost three times the amount of time for an item to be delivered than what I am initially told. Extremely disappointing.
This weekend, I was moving into the city for grad school. I was exhausted, and I needed a mattress before I could even think about resting.Myleek not only helped me find exactly what I was looking for in my price range, he did it without any sort of hard sell or deflection away from what I asked for, knew all available stock off the top of his head, and helped me with everything I needed to tie the mattress on the the roof of my car, all while giving several other customers the same personalized attention.And did I mention this was all during a power-outage that had knocked out their system and phone lines, while he was alone in the store? Myleek handled himself with amazing composure, cheer and customer service during what was obviously a busy weekend, and clearly a stressful time. I hope I dont need to buy another mattress any time soon, but if I do, I know where Im going.
They are overpriced and have a terrible return policy. I regret not going online and getting the same mattress for $350 less. With Levin, be aware that you can’t return your mattress for 30 days, no exceptions, after which you have to pay $150 just to exchange it but there are no refunds. They are very pushy with the additional items, which you then cant return. They will try to sell you a mattress cover but this also non-refundable if you dont like it. It’s a $120 plastic sheet with a zipper. Save yourself the trouble. Most online stores have free white glove delivery.
