Its a self storage place so its exactly what youd expect. My things remained in good condition and had no issues with service or access. Karen was also so helpful and sweet when I was clearing out. Employees make the place!

I would like to acknowledge the professionalism and courtesy of two employees that I encountered when I unexpectedly needed to rent a U-Haul yesterday. I was 60 miles from home, and had purchased a sofa which was being stored at this location. I needed to take it to my home in Indiana, Pa.Being aware that everything is reserved during this time of the year, especially at the start of a new month, I knew that the potential of getting a truck would be slight. Blake D. and Rich K. jointly went above and beyond to locate a vehicle for me. They did this while a third party (i.e. the sofas seller) was complicating matters with their utter lack of understanding of U-Haul procedures.During this 30 minute ordeal, these two young men maintained a positive and cordial attitude, and in the end were able to accomplish the seemingly impossible - a truck for my needs.Both Blake and Rich did an outstanding job representing U-Haul, and their value as employees cannot be overstated. Blake is the best guy at any uHaul I have ever visited. He is Mr White glove when everyone else is rushing for the door at closing time he is the only person that watches after the customer. Truck was ready to go, although not parked where the app said. Once I found it it was easy to get going and easy to add extra time on the rental. Return was seamless too.

I was tempted to only give 1 star because I’m quite annoyed at the moment. I wanted to rent a small storage area. I looked at them a few days ago and they seem clean & they have lots a carts, etc. Parking might be an issue w/all the trucks around. I choose them because of their location even though the rate for a small unit was literally more than twice Guardian in the strip district. But, when I started the rental I was told I needed 2 phone numbers. Who has two phones anymore?! I remembered I have an old google voice # I don’t use, so I gave him that. Then I was told I needed someone else’s # too, and their email, etc. Sorry, I don’t give other people’s personal information out to companies. So, back to Guardian, where I rented last year and I was very happy. Just not as good a location for me.

WOW!!!!!! This extended store of the franchise was truly so well put together. I called very flustered because my daughter kicked me out due to COVID-19, resulting in me being homeless. Due to me being a hoarder, I have a lot of belongings that are special to me. I had a delightful conversation with a young lady, lexie I believe. She reassured me that she would keep in touch with me regarding my storage unit. Overall she was incredibly professional and polite.

The representative didnt explain the storage hours or access procedures. I arrive Sunday evening at 8pm to unload only to find out I had no access. Very unprofessional and time wasted because there was no instructions given.

I was able to get my truck and storage unit without having to interact with anybody, but when I did have a question the gentlemen were very helpful and kind. I only wish there were more access points for the storage units!

This storage facility is amazingly neat, organized and clean. I had untouched household items stored for three years in a 5x10..and not.a.hint.of.dust was on my belongings once I moved out! I HIGHLY recommend this location. Ted has excellent customer service.🥰

This place is so disorganized...If you plan to order from them over the phone make sure that you know who you spoke to! Dont waste your time checking in online, they dont even get your information. You will still have to provide all the information again once you get there anyway. Stay away from this location on Western Avenue. They have a lot of hidden fees that you will see once you return their rentals. Worst experience ever!!!

This facility is one of the nicest storage facilities Ive been into. There is a lot of space, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Getting to the upper floors is easy, with a huge elevator. And the security appears to be excellent as well.

Over the last few weeks I have been in the process of making a long distance move to The Burgh and have several interactions with the crew at the Western Ave location. I have found all of the staff to be knowledgeable, responsive, courteous, professional and very customer service focused. My interactions have been with Brad, Rich, Nicholas and Tony. USE THIS LOCATION! Ted and his team saved my interstate move the day of. Budget in Bloomfield cancelled my truck the day before my move at 4pm. Told me I was out of luck even though I booked it a month in advance. Called up North Side U-haul the day of my move and they got me a truck within a half hour and got me on my way! Ive never had such wonderful customer service at a U-haul location. These guys really deserve your business and a 10 star rating. Thank you!!

MAJOR SAFETY CONCERNSPLEASE READMy experience was pretty dreadful and I will absolutely consider another company over UHaul in the future.For starters, I was forced to take a rideshare way out in the country somewhere to pick up my equipment. It was such a long one way trip that the rideshare cost over $80. I was reimbursed by UHaul but I had to make the initial investment out of pocket.No one bothered to call me or tried to inform me in any way that this would be necessary, aside from an email they sent me a few days prior to my move. And guess what... When you reserve equipment at UHaul, you get about three or four useless promotional emails in the days following. So you tend to start disregarding them as they come in. A customer deserves a call when you move the location of equipment pick up over 30 miles away. This is a large city and not everyone has a car, an extra $80, nor an extra hour and a half to spare on their moving day.This was just the beginning.Most disturbing was the fact that my car was put at risk of being destroyed - and the lives and the safety of others were put at risk. This was due to the negligence and/or ignorance of a UHaul employee when they assisted with attaching my car to the tow dolly in Pittsburgh at the Liberty Ave location. The way this employee attached my car to the UHaul tow dolly caused a potentially very dangerous situation. I was informed by roadside services in Ohio when they inspected my vehicle (because it was slipping off of the tow dolly after an afternoon of travel) that I could have caused very serious damage and lost my car while driving on the freeway - the roadside service person also told me if there had been an accident that I would be likely found liable for any injury or damage caused. The person from roadside assistance took several pictures of what was wrong with my equipment and assured me that not only would UHaul be billed for the service but would be informed of the dangerous practice he observed.I was also severely inconvenienced by this negligence because I had to wait for roadside services (until 1am in the snow) to correct the error made at UHaul in the middle of my move.I have already reported this to UHaul over the phone TWICE but no one from UHaul bothered to follow up with me. I don’t know if the practice utilized by this employee is common practice but it is definitely unsafe at best and potentially deadly at worst. To my knowledge, no one from UHaul has bothered to address and correct the unsafe practice at this location because they do zero follow up.I actually tried reaching out to UHaul by phone today (because they emailed me a survey) and was put “on hold” to be transferred to a “manager” but the call went from silence to some weird default voicemail. No one has attempted to reach out to me at this point and I’ve decided to post my review because I’m sick of their useless customer service.Can’t say I’m satisfied with my experience at all. All of these ridiculous things threw off my moving schedule by two days and scared the living hell out of me. I plan to look into a moving service not associated with UHaul next time I have to move.

I do not like to go anywhere else to get my Trucks. From the top-down, customer service is what they do. Patrick, Justin, and Co. always help me out, no matter the situations. I dont believe what other locations say, but I believe these guys when they say they will have a truck for me or not. A++++ Service.

The desk reps are cool and helpful, issue im having is that I dropped of a rented truck at 7:30pm, did the app return with pictures of the truck in the marked drop off point and got fined for after hours service anyway. Turns out The manager just fines everyone reguardless of the self return app.

Rented a motorcycle trailer. The price was very reasonable, process was easy. The location is very accessible in the City of Pgh. Ted and Christian were very helpful. Making this location our go to from now on.

Extremely Quick and easy! The last thing anyone wants to do on moving day is sit at a Uhaul counter and fallout paper work for 25 minutes. I was in and out in 3 minutes. They do not charge you until you return the truck. I drove 35 miles, spent $8 to fill the tank back up to where I got it and the total came to $75 after taxes. All final payments are done via mobile device saving you even more time. They have a huge selection to choose from. Unlike renting Uhaul or Budget Trucks from your local mechanic and hoping that they have the size truck you need, this location had it all. I almost never write reviews especially positive ones and I know this one is long, but this location deserves one for their excellent service. Bottom line: if you need a truck for whatever reason go to this location before calling any other in the area. FYI: They also have storage lockers if needed.

Literally Supercenter - anything you need for moving from box and tape to huge 26 truck. I paid $85 for 10 truck, appliance dolly, 35 miles, insurance, and fuel. I think its quite budget price for such helpful service. I had some issues with total price calculation. I did not understand at all why U-Haul charged me extra $10 (originally was $75), but I do not want to investigate it.UPD: Extra $10 are Rental Tax and PA Motor Vehicle Rental Fees.

I was very disappointed with them. They dont tell you that if you go over 10 miles you have to pay extra. The way it was explained to me is they give you 10 miles and include that in the payment, but if you go over they charge full amount. However, they were good in refunding those monies.

Ted and his son saved the weekend! We had reserved a 26 truck from Budget located on Babcock Blvd. 5 days before we needed to pick it up. So, long story short, we show up and theres no truck within 70 miles. We scrambled, called Uhaul and they directed up to Teds place on the north shore. Within 10 minutes of showing up they had us rolling, and even started the truck to warm it up before we left. Seriously, these guys are good and are running a quality shop. Not sure about any other reviews.... but you need to keep in mind that as a Uhaul licensee they have to follow company policies regarding extra mileage etc. etc. Ted matched the Budget truck price and sent us on our way. Thanks man, well done.

This place is sort of amazing. Returning your truck feels a lot like pulling up into the pit of a NASCAR race. Employees swarm to get you check out and on your way. Im not sure how the experience of renting a vehcile could be any better. We were in and out in 5 minutes. Large fleet and self-storage on site.

Good equipment and friendly staff, would of rated 5 stars but going based off their inaccurate fuel gauge estimation I filled the van from 1/4 to 3/4 (although 7.8 gallons was suppose to take me to a 1/2 tank) and wouldnt refund me for the extra fuel.
