Mary is very rude and unprofessional. From the look of these other reviews professionalism is a struggle for this company. Our fridge is out and we live in an apartment and have no other option but wait until Tuesday for delivery when today is Friday. Extremely frustrating but…not the companies fault they are fully booked. I was so frustrated that our landlord would book with a company that couldn’t come right away so we could save our 300$ worth of groceries. We live paycheck to paycheck so obviously a huge concern. No compassion, no patience, and no sense of urgency on her part. Let’s hope the actual product and delivery are better than Mary’s customer service skills.

I had scheduled a repair appointment for a washer that wouldnt drain about a week out. They were booked up but were kind enough to find me the earliest possible slot, a week is not unreasonable after all. Nevertheless, I managed to figure out what was wrong with the machine in the meantime, but forgot to call them to cancel the appointment. Lee arrived on schedule and refused to take payment for the trip. He talked me through some likely washer problems, and told me to think of Spencers for my next appliance repair. I will not hesitate to call them in the future. Kind and professional.

Ricky was a very knowledgable, thorough and professional technician that came to fix our bottom freezer of our refrigerator. He was friendly; explained the problem in laymans terms for me; and fixed it promptly. He even returned the next day, free of charge, to follow up on an issue I had noticed after he had left, and he fixed that as well. What a great place this little business is right here in East county Portland. Fairly good inventory and plenty of choices and the used area which is where I was at, and I was looking for a stacking washer dryer apartment style. They had some nice elections but I write this review because the young lady that works there was so helpful so kind and so patient and I was absolutely amazed at how much she knew about the products she sold. Right down to the strength and power of the internal motor on these washing machines and basically an examination of weather I wanted a stackable that if one broke down I would be completely out of luck,.... As opposed to the separate washer and dryer that you stack in a smaller size. Plenty of really really good information and like I mentioned before she was most kind and there was no down your throat hard sell which I really appreciate.

My interaction with Spencers Appliances was positive in every way. They showed up when they said, identified the problem, explained it to me, and fixed it with a 90 day guarantee. The technician knew his stuff, and was pleasant. As this was during the COVID-19 outbreak, he was also wearing a good mask and some gloves. The price for a service call was under $100!

Omar was wonderful! He fixed my washer in >25 mins and showed me a few tricks that I was not aware of for balancing my machine. Right now Im renting so I dont have a choice who I use for repairs but in the future when I own my appliances I will choose Spencers!

These guys showed up same day & fixed my fridge without delay. They were quick to order the parts they needed and prices charged were very fair.They were courteous and took their time with the repair to ensure nothing else was wrong with it. Our friend recommended Spencers to us and Im glad that we took her advice. The staff was very attentive and friendly. As we browsed the selection, a gentleman saw us looking. He asked us if we wanted a matching set, which I did, so he took us to the workshop and showed us around, because the dryer to our set wasnt out on the show room floor. He priced out our set, and we were on our way in about 15 minutes. Dont be fooled by the no frills exterior/interior. We got a great washer/dryer set that is still going strong six months in. We got delivery for free and all the hoses and cords included. You cant go wrong!

Spencers was great when my washing machine broke. A team came out early to figure out the problem -- when repair wasnt possible (machine was old, replacement part no longer available), they helped me find a refurbished unit that would fit my tiny closet space for a fraction of the price Id seen at competitors. The delivery team was super helpful in installing it and hauling away the old machines. Would highly recommend!

I wasn’t home during the replacement of my dishwasher and needed them to enter my home without us. Braden called upon arrival and was kind and responsive. He even text me when finished with a picture of mold hed found on the wall behind the dishwasher. Ordering installations from some of the big names ends up becoming a nightmare of waiting on hold and reschedules, but installation is smooth and easy with Spencers Appliances.Ive worked with a number of people; Isreal, Mary, Nathan, Bonnie (just to name a few that stick out!) and it doesnt matter where we left off in the conversation they always pick back up as if it were them I had been speaking with the whole time. Walked into Spencers looking for a refurbished fridge. Found exactly what I wanted and scheduled delivery. They showed up RIGHT ON TIME and were fast to get the old fridge out and put the new one in. One of the best. I was working with another business in town that was okay, but not great. I found that business because there were so few in town with good reviews. They were unable to come out to fix my dryer so I called Spencers based on their good reviews. Wow! Im glad I did!The person who answered the phone was very friendly, obviously in a quiet office (the previous company answered from a loud warehouse where I could frequently hear other guys talking about sports, work, and one time, other clients), and they came out the very next day. Lee was incredibly friendly, obviously knew what he was doing, and had the job done in 30 minutes....maybe less.Spencers Appliances gets all my business going forward. Great job guys!

I contacted a few stores in town for assistance with my control panel diagnosis on my Kenmore front loader which had stopped turning on. They said I could drop in and they would check the panel for me. Based on the testing, we determined that it was most likely a broken door lock that was preventing the machine from starting. They had one in the back from a machine they were parting out. The staff showed me how to remove the wire around the rubber seal and take out the door lock, sold it to me for $20 (I gave them $10 more for being so nice). I came home and installed it within 15 minutes and reassembled my washer. Sooooo happy. Great folks here!

Small place, but very nice people

The lady that says spencers does not know how to treat customers is not dealing with a full deck. Not only the guys but I have had the woman take me to where a part is. And never had the least bit of trouble. They do it like it was done in the old days. If a wierd rack we are not sure if it is going to do it or not or a nob they have let me leave something or just take the stuff home bring back the ones that dont work for what I was working on. And even have had them call a dealer a couple of time by themselves and then tell me it well be on the counter at 43rd and belmont. Now that is the way to treat customers. You must of been having a bad day. Or the item you wanted that was in your hand they did not have it ready 10 minutes before you got there. Charles Wise SR. yes I well be back again. and know that if a part is wrong they well do there best to swap it out. Sure dont get that at a dealer anymore. Chuck.

Spencers supplied the replacement appliances in the apartment I just rented. The appliances not only functioned poorly or not at all, they were dirty and moldy. The oven looked as if it was left outside and mice made a home in the warming drawer.
