Weve been looking for a specific GE garage ready upright freezer for our home. We live in the eastern part of the state where its 110F all summer. Ive checked all over and finally connected with Linda at the 33rd Ave Store. She stated that the model wouldnt be available until about March 2022. Thats ok and she made the ordering process so easy that it only took a few minutes and did the whole transaction over phone messaging. Way to go Linda. Thanks so much.
We have purchased several appliances over the years at Standard TV and Appliance from the store on 33rd. Their sales staff are so helpful. We just purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer and sales consultant Craig Fredericks helped us. So knowledgeable and friendly.We had the units delivered and installed and both delivery guys Charlie and Richard took out our old set and installed the new. I even got to clean all the dust under the units after 11 years, LOL. They were also very knowledgeable and super friendly.I highly recommend Standard TV and Appliance and will definitely shop at the 33rd Avenue store again.
Decent selection of middle to higher end brands. The staff is helpful without being pushy (Kevin is great!).I mean, they will still try to sell you a mattress like we don’t order them online, but not too bad. Speaking of, why not turn the mattress section into high end audio? Same customersAnyway, buy your appliances here. They aren’t jerks. That is massive in the appliance world! They offer delivery and it also seemed to be alright. We didn’t pay for an install, but they offer it. Hint: it isn’t the 50s anymore - watch YouTube and install this stuff yourself. It is insanely easy (so easy a delivery driver with retail store training can do it).

During the sales process we never felt pressured or had our comments ignored Jared understood what we wanted/needed 100% of the time. We are in LOVE with the products we were able to procure. As for the Delivery/Installation both Eugene & Milton were professional, clean and fast (not to mention wonderful representations of your companies best employees). I needed a dryer fast. I looked online and was able to chat with someone and they were able to help me buy a dryer and have it delivered the same day. It was quick and easy. Im a nurse and work long hours and am rarely home so this was great. Quick, secure, efficient and with being able to do this over text, made it so easy. None of the other competitors were able to do this for me this easily.
Ive not had the greatest experience so far to be honest. Initially, the sales person on the floor was so helpful and knowledgeable. Beautiful show room and a good selection. We purchased a dishwasher from here as they were expecting a shipment in within a couple weeks, much faster than other places we checked before. Unfortunately, that shipment has not come in still (2 months now). Every two weeks we call for an update (we would expect someone to call us proactively, but they did not) and they would tell us the shipment is expected the next Sunday. This has continued for weeks now and finally we just cant wait anymore.Our sales rep offered us another dishwasher option that they have in stock now- which is a great idea and we really wish theyd offered this to us a month ago. We have adjusted the order for that dishwasher, but never got any kind of sales receipt or confirmation. Apparently they had my email address wrong (surely they got notifications that the email didnt go through). Still waiting on some kind of evidence that we actually purchased something. Holding my breath that the dishwasher actually arrives next week. In a nutshell, disorganized and on the ground and not worth the headache. I know the slow shipments/lack of inventory are not the fault of the store, but the communication and lack of professionalism is and has definitely made us feel uncomfortable about this purchase.
I found a Bosch dishwasher at Standard TV & Appliance (online) that I couldnt find at any of the usual big box stores in the Portland/Vancouver area, and at a better price! I was helped by Linda, who facilitated the payment and pickup. Everything went smoothly. Highly recommended!!
I was looking for a very specific refrigerator to fit in a basement apartment space. Via their instant messaging feature on their website Linda helped me find exactly what I needed and helped me order it! Pretty easy I would say. Its been quite a challenge shopping for a remodel in these covid times, but Standard made it easy. This is the third purchase we have made from them in the past year!
Never have I found a staff in a business that was so Rude! We were looking at Washers and dryers and had cash in hand to purchase today. On line showed a set we really liked and when my husband asked if it was in stock the associate said they didnt have it. When my husband said darn, the website shows it, and we really like that one, the associate countered with a snotty remark about believing what you see on line. It was so Rude, we left. We will take our cash and business to a place that wants to work with their customers.
Our new washer works and looks great! Charlie and Richard delivered it early, installed it super quickly, wore masks, and were super nice/easy to talk to. I highly recommend Standard TV & Appliance for nice local help. Will definitely be going back for our appliance needs.

I went here because you cant really buy Speed Queen washers and dryers anywhere else. Shaun S. helped us on the floor that day (we already knew what we wanted so we were in and out in no time) and let us know that it would be about 5 weeks as the products were all back-ordered. We paid the deposit (half of the total) and waited. 5 weeks and 1 day later we received a call from Shaun letting us know that our order had arrived and that once we paid the remainder of the balance he would be able to set up the delivery, which was running about 1.5 weeks out.On the delivery day, Schad and another gentleman (I didnt catch his name) came to the house and very carefully brought the appliances into the laundry room. It was then we realized that the previous owners probably had a stacked unit because the space wasnt very large. With some quick thinking and an extra foot of hose, Schad had me hooked up and ready to go in less than 45 minutes. I really didnt want to have to send the machines back or purchase a different brand so I really appreciate them taking the time to make it work for our situation.I will certainly look to Standard for any future appliance needs.
Delivery went super smooth. I was contacted 24 hours before to confirm, and I was given a delivery window (which was hit perfectly) at the start of delivery day. The delivery team (Charlie and Richard) were super helpful, safe and courteous. Thanks for a great home delivery experience.
They came to inspect an old dishwasher and later replaced it. Everyone was so great!! Super communicative, efficient, respectful and overall awesome. Shout out to the awesome technician with a red beard. It can sometimes feel weird to have strangers in your home but everyone who came over was completely professional and wonderful.
Richard and Brandon did excellent work installing my new refrigerator. They expertly removed my old fridge and brought in the new with out any damage to home or appliance. They even showed up early and took away all the wrappings.

Although I didn’t complete my purchase at Standard, I still wanted to leave my review for the great service I received.We had an unexpected gas leak in our range and needed to find a replacement ASAP that fit the space and aesthetic of the kitchen. Wonderful team helped us purchase a great appliance (fridge) in the middle of a snowstorm and a pandemic with limited national supply of appliances and had it DELIVERED during said snow storm three days later by two incredible and efficient delivery men. Every other store was unable to obtain stock or delivery for three months. Standard got us set up with what we desperately needed by text and phone while I was in the middle of a busy work day. We will literally never buy an appliance from anywhere but Standard TV and Appliance again.
I will definitely use standard brands again. I started off talking to Linda through texts and she was very helpful. I was told my Jenn air range wouldn’t be here until March but it arrived January 13th. We opted to pick it up because we lived outside of their delivery options. Warehouse was very easy to find and easy pickup.
Over the past several years I have been a loyal Standard customer completely outfitting 3 homes with all Standard appliances. After this most recent experience I will very likely discontinue my relationship with Standard and will go elsewhere for my big appliance purchases. I am extremely disappointed in the customer care I have received and the response of Standard to some pretty terrible situations.For starters, the sealed system in the very high-end, very expensive Kitchenaid refrigerator that I purchased from you barely six years ago is shot. The repair costs alone are over $1000. My extended five-year warranty just expired prior to the refrigerator breaking down. Neither Standard nor Kitchenaid did anything about this. Standard should have at the very least offered me a huge discount on the replacement fridge that I had to purchase since they sold me a lemon. In addition to having to replace a practically new refrigerator, I lost hundreds of dollars worth of food and was without a refrigerator for several weeks. I am a single mom and a teacher and could not afford this. Nonetheless, I decided to purchase the replacement from Standard and am now thinking this was a huge mistake. From the very first interactions with the sales associate giving me incorrect and inaccurate information to the delivery fiascos. It took the delivery guys 3 attempts over a couple of days to get my refrigerator delivered and installed, and sadly on the final attempt the refrigerator was damaged as it was being brought into my house. There is now a dent on my brand new very expensive refrigerator.Delivery attempt No. 1 – Inexperience, unqualified delivery team was unable to get the fridge up the stairs.Delivery Attempt No. 2 – The delivery crew said the refrigerate had arrived damaged, so they didn’t even attempt to bring it in.Delivery Attempt No. 3 – The delivery crew knocked the refrigerator into a corner bringing it into the house and damaged it.As of yet, Standard has not responded to the situation to offer an appropriate resolution.
Our old fridge broke and we had to buy a new one very quickly. AMAZING same day service, new fridge delivered, old one hauled away, incredibly easy and stress free. Thank you Standard TV & Appliance!

Our dishwasher attempted to catch fire so we needed a replacement before the holiday. Vadim found me a quiet one, in the color I wanted for a good price. I am very pleased with the process and the end result. I really appreciated Vadim taking the time at almost 9pm to help me out.

We had a freezer go out over the weekend and had a hard time finding a upright freezer. We called Standard TV and appliance they were able to get one ordered a week out. That was great other companies we’re month or longer.
Run, don’t walk to the nearest alternative source to this company.Started with an order for a standing freezer and matching refrigerator in April. Paid in full up front. Some delays in manufacturing were expected due to COVID. All follow ups were from my end chasing for an update. Refrigerator was confirmed for delivery in July but no freezer. In July chased again for status. The sales person, Jared, actually suggested I go to another retailer to look for the freezer. As all stores were having supply chain issues, I said, lets stick it out since I’m already on the waiting list. No need to start over with another company.August, I called Jared. We agreed to order a freezer from another manufacturer with a potential delivery date in September. Paid for the freezer in full and was agreed to wait to see which one came in first and one would be refunded. End of September, another follow up from my end. Here’s Jared’s response:“Since I had to re-write your order in August, somebody took the freezer off my order and I just found out when I went to check your order after reading your email. So its bad news everywhere. I no longer have the freezer and now I see the fridge is out until 2/25/21. Id check in with Robys on the coast and see what theyve got. Im at a loss for words.”My goal at this point was to get my money back and sever any relationship with Standard TV & Appliance. I indicated that to Jared and was told I’d have to call customer relations to sort it out. Ball in my court to chase after all these issues.The good news is, I did take Jared’s advice and called Roby’s. Guess what? A new freezer and refrigerator ordered and delivered in a week.
I used the text feature that popped up while I was looking on Standard’s website. I told them exactly what we were looking for and have had a hard time finding, they texted me options quickly and I secured our purchase for pickup. Given the difficulty finding appliances in stock with COVID, it was great to cut to the chase on what we were looking for and to have in stock options promptly presented. Gary was a huge help and the process was easy, the customer service was top notch!

I wanted to support a local business for buying an appliance, but I regret that decision. The person who was scheduled to install my dishwasher said he could not install it because my countertop was too low. After I found someone else to install my dishwasher, I asked for my installation fee to be refunded. That was almost a week ago. When I called to ask why I had not received my refund, I was told the paperwork must have been shredded before it was processed, but it would be really-submitted and processed ASAP. I still have not been refunded. If you see an appliance there you like at a good price, go ahead and buy it, just don’t count on their installation service, and don’t put yourself in a position that they have to give you a refund.Updated 8/13 yes, thank you for the reply. After calling again yesterday because my refund was not processed. And then I had to call back again because I was not refunded he correct amount. I was told it was because it was because the company thought I was a Washington resident, and was taxed??? I, too, am sorry that the experience was not great, and did not even qualify as a good experience. I hope this is not the standard of care delivered to all your clients.
I was on hold long enough to figure out how to get diagnostic codes from my washer, test the parts continuity to confirm it was the culprit, and order new parts from a vendor who actually wanted my business. My washer should still be under warranty, but Id rather just have it be fixed than wait around all day for someone to answer a phone call. Oh well!
Purchased and paid for a new dishwasher, fridge, and oven on 3/21. Its now 6/17 and still dont have them all installed and working. It was constant issues and very little communication without me proactively reaching out every single time. When I tried to give this feedback I was pretty much ghosted. Customer service tried their best to help but difficult when everything that seems to be going wrong did. Wish i could give better feedback but still here 4 months later without a working dishwasher
I’m really grateful to the sales team. I went in with a washer and dryer in mind, and wanted to double check that it would work in my apartment. It did, but they had a better suggestion for me that was actually cheaper! It was delivered and installed in a week. However, I can’t speak highly of the delivery team. My washer was leaking. Stanford brought out a repairman a week later, and he said the hose wasn’t tightened correctly. So all in all, the sales team was great, but the delivery team needs a little work.
Horrible company and customer service. We waited for ever for our dishwasher to come in only to have them claim the damaged it and had to order a new one! We waited another two weeks for a new one only to be told the day of that it would take another 3 weeks! The day it was due for delivery! I know they sold my dishwasher the first time it was ordered.
First of all, I was very pleased to see that they carried Frigidaire freezers and actually had them in stock. I sent an inquiry as to the price and got a response immediately. I didnt expect this because I started the process after 9pm. By this morning, Id received the final invoice and the link to pay. I have completed the entire transaction through my phone.
I made simple phone call wanting to know about delivery and pick up. I mentioned to Christina that I had bought my appliance from Standard 15 or twenty years ago and at that time they had delivered and picked up for free. She immediately and sarcastically said that was not so that they had never done that. After some discussion she admitted that what I had said was correct. Due to her attitude we purchased our appliance elsewhere. My suggestion would be not to be so quick to tell your customers that they are wrong. You lost a customer because of this attitude.
SECOND UPDATE: We have now received confirmation of the credit for part of our initial cost of the microwave. Kelly in client service has been very proactive and responsive regarding our poor experience and we do feel that says a lot about the company wanting to make things right. While I dont think we will ever give our business to the Standard Hollywood location following this debacle, we would definitely consider using Standard for future purchases at a different location.UPDATE: My spouse and I received a call from client service at Standard on Friday after posting our original review. The woman we spoke with, Kelly, was very apologetic for the experience we had and offered to proceed with the plan of getting the microwave model we had originally requested which is backordered at no further cost to us OR crediting back a portion of our initial cost. We chose the credit - at this point it felt the easiest and safest course of action. We had been told we would get a confirmation email on Monday confirming the credit was to e processed. This has not yet occurred, but we remain hopeful of getting this confirmation soon, at which point we will further update our review. My original review below has been edited to make it more concise.ORIGINAL REVIEW (EDITED FOR CONTENT)My spouse & I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Standard TV & Appliance, to the extent that I feel warning other potential customers is warranted.We called the Standard Hollywood store looking for a particular over the range GE microwave (Profile series 1.7 cu.ft. fingerprint resistant stainless steel). The store agreed to price match what Lowes was reflecting so we chose to give our business to Standard and scheduled installation for a few days later..After installation and being brushed off my the installer when we noted the microwave did not seem fingerprint resistant, we learned that the incorrect model had been installed (we did not in fact have the fingerprint resistant model). We called Standard client service and a representative named Jorge assured us that since it was a miscommunication on the sales side, they would order the correct model and install it at no extra cost to us.Several days later we had a very unpleasant interaction with Kevin, the sales associate we purchased the microwave through. He blamed us for not noticing the invoice hed sent us had the wrong model number (the two models in question are nearly identical in model number) and was very focused on blaming us for everything and was not concerned over losing our business in the slightest. He also refused to proceed with what Jorge had verbally agreed to with us and told us we would need to pay a 15% restocking fee and additional $199 installation fee if we wanted the correct microwave model. Completely unacceptable behavior.I would STRONGLY caution anyone going through Standard Appliance to be on their guard. Know your model numbers (esp. now, when items need to be ordered). And know that Standard Appliance has very little interest in keeping your business or in making things right. Despite wanting to support a local establishment, it seems wed be better served by a larger corporation.

Washer is kaput.Sunday morning, through text exchange Standard TV & Appliance On line support, Chris, responds to plea and quote fir replacement. Through online exchange, replacement is identified and remarkably can be delivered next day, end of the day when family can drive to Portland to open the home.Extraordinary effort by Chris, reoresenting Standard TV & Appliance with highest marks. You cannot get this service and support from the big box stores. This is local business and professional staff.Thank you Chris! S Sproule

These guys were terrific! I met someone at the store who helped me pick out the perfect dryer, then the communication about the delivery was on point. They called when they said they would call and delivered when they said they would deliver. Luke, Brion, and Ryan all helped with the install and they were amazing! They were quick, efficient and extremely helpful explaining the aspects of our new dryer. Could not recommend these guys enough!

Refrigerator in a rental had stopped keeping cold and had to be quickly replaced. Scratch~n~dent basement sale was a great choice. Delivery and remove the old unit for a little bit over $600. Great deal of the day.
Weve purchased several appliances from Standard over the years, the most recent was a double oven and cooktop. Weve even had problems with our appliances before and the staff @ Standard quickly solved our problems.. Theyre priced fairly, have expert knowledge and excellent customer service.
Only went there looking for a countertop microwave so cant comment on much beyond that. Essentially the selection was small and very expensive. Seems like the place was focused on appliance packages where you get the low price if you buy the whole set with stove fridge etc. Wasnt a good fit for our needs. Staff was quick to assist but they knew right away they didnt really have what we were looking for.
I was told one price over the phone, however it was different (+$200) when I arrived. I was upset not mad. I just went elsewhere. We spent $6000+ there 2 years ago on what was to be the top of the line (not). Should have purchased the extended warranty . I chose not to, its the top of the line. Lesson learned, return business does not mean anything.
What would the founder of this company think today as to what the integrity of this company has become?... Fool me once shame on you....
Worked with Kevin, highly recommend him. Kevin was very knowledgable and actually steered us to a better brand of washer/dryer that better fit our needs then what we came in for. Delivery was quick and model room selection is vast. They also price match, but found their prices to be at or below everyone else already.

David E. (I think from this location? if not from SE) did a GREAT repair job for us. He reviewed the options and gave us the best, less-expensive option (he could easily have just said the most expensive option was the only one, I wouldnt have known). He was also appropriately communicative, ensuring a proper understanding of what he was doing but also not going on too much or too technically. Really great experience, would use Standard TV & Appliance for more repairs in the future (we already have happily brought products from them).
Quick and painless process. Walked in looking for a washing machine and Andrew Norris showed me some great used models. I was in and out in about 15min. The delivery and Install guys communication was perfect. They showed up on time and were also quick and friendly.
Very easy buying experience. Most important, after they took my money they followed through. They just installed my dishwasher a couple days after a foot of snow. They have their own installers and they care.. really nice guys..where as most others these days have 3rd party installers that could care less about service (I learned this the hard way). If you care about service stick with Standard and stay away from Best Buy..
I just bought a washer, dryer and refrigerator and I like to try to use local stores and I had heard good things about this place and the staff being very knowledgeable. The first impression I had was a very informed salesman, who really knew the ins and outs of the different appliances and their pros and cons. The selection is good and since I was looking for something immediately, the sales guy was very informed about what was in and what I would have to wait for. I made my selections, they wrote me up and everything was delivered today which was just a few days later. Easy peasy. What really took this place to five stars for me was the outstanding delivery. On time and very professional, he could already tell that my washer and dryer werent going to fit depth-wise and took off the doors to my laundry closet and made the effort to put them back on after the install, but they were just shy of being able to close and it wasnt that important to me and so I left them off. He also asked me if he wanted him to reverse the positioning of the washer and dryer counter to how the outlets were installed in the house so that the doors would open away from each other and would make loading and unloading easy. Nice touch! Everything was installed well and super quickly. It didnt hurt that one of the delivery guys was unbelievably hot (think a hotter Eddie Cibrian) but also nice and very capable of figuring out how to make everything work for me. Very happy with my purchases and the entire experience from shopping to delivery. I would definitely recommend them for your next appliance purchase.

This is now the second time I have tried to escalate this. The first time I called and talked to Laura in accounting to try and escalate and it has gotten me no where. In short I had purchased quite a few appliances from Shawn at the Hollywood store. Shortly after our final credit card transaction on a new card, that had not ever been used with anyone else, we experienced credit card fraud in the thousands of dollars. I escalated with Richard the manager and he assured me it would be resolved and someone from corporate would contact me. It has now been three months with no resolution or call back from Richard. Additionally one of the Sub Zero freezer drawers came damaged and Richard assured me that it would be fixed and no call back on that. I received a voice mail from my sales associate Shawn on 4/4 assuring me in a few days we would hear more. Again NOTHING. The fact that I hvae flagged credit card fraud and now been essentially silenced is something I never thought I would experience from a well known shop. Everyone here seemed really nice and well intended, but I cannot recommend anyone to do business here without some amazing turn around and offset for the huge hassle.

Landlords: steer clear!I rarely write reviews, but my experience (as a tenant) with Standards incompetence, disorganization, and absurd and frustrating payment and delivery policies obligated me to write this one.Strike #1: I was promised a new range by my landlord to replace my malfunctioning one. Apparently Standard wont accept more than half the payment over the phone (which my landlord made), and wont DELIVER until FULL payment is made (in person, with a photo ID). (Hey guys, ever heard of online commerce?) This was apparently not communicated to my landlord whom I doubt would have wanted to drive all the way from Beaverton to be present with her photo ID to pay for the range. Apparently this maddening policy is the result of Standards bad experience with ONE customer…so now (as of October 2018) theyre going to make it as difficult as possible for ALL their customers.Strike #2: Standard promised delivery on a Tuesday, but neglected to put my range on their delivery schedule. It was rescheduled for Friday.Strike #3: Friday comes, and I receive a message from the delivery guys about the above policy. I call Standard but they cant even find delivery information (like my phone number or address) in their computer system.Strike #4: Eventually they figure it out and Im told that full payment hasnt been made. Instead, my landlord must go to Standards store to pay the balance in person. Unfortunately I cant reach her. The delivery guys eventually do arrive with the range but arent allowed to install it! Delivery is rescheduled for Tuesday. (It does finally get installed on Tuesday, one week late.)Im giving two stars (instead of one) for agreeable and conciliatory attitudes on the part of Standards staff (particularly the delivery guys), some of whom are as obviously frustrated as me with their management and policies.
DO NOT SHOP STANDARD TV & APPLIANCE - 1205 NE 33rd AVENUEI recently shopped for and purchased a washer and dryer from Standard TV & Appliance.I had completed my own research and felt comfortable with my selection, I just needed to buy the units and set up delivery/installation. I had shopped at Standard TV & Appliance in the past. I remembered a decent sales experience and I, again, wanted to give my business to a local company with a great reputation.Should it be difficult to purchase a washer dryer? Did I need the BEST salesperson? Probably not but this? Well...My salesperson, Andrew “Let Me Check on That” N____, was as unknowledgeable as he was unhelpful.Andrew could not answer a single question about availability, delivery options or anything else without consulting another person (his team member? his boss? his psychic?) I don’t know. Whatever.He practically tried to talk me out of purchasing a gas dryer because they weren’t in stock? At least that’s what I thought was happening.With growing frustration my partner suggested to Andrew that he provide a quotation. A complete price list with the parts required for order so that we could consider the purchase and call in to complete payment.Andrew provided the quote. He also informed us that his days off were coming up during the week but that he would answer a call to his cell phone to accept payment. I paid with the understanding that Andrew would be in touch the following week to set up delivery once the dryer arrived in stock.A week passed. No word from Andrew. I dropped him an email.Andrew responded delivery and installation would be completed on 1/29.THEN, I received an automated text that delivery and install were scheduled for 1/24.After ANOTHER contact with Andrew, he assured me that the date definitely was 1/29. I asked him if we would receive a delivery window the day before. No response.On 1/28 we cleared the laundry area, got everything ready.On 1/29 my partner scheduled a 1⁄2 day away from the office to meet the delivery. I emailed Andrew at 7:30am requesting a delivery window. He responded at 10:30am that dryer had not arrived and that neither the washer nor the dryer would be delivered or installed that day. The soonest we would see the units would be another week.Obviously, I lost my mind that no one even bothered to tell me that the delivery appointment wouldn’t be kept. Andrew was clearly upset and WITH ME because, well..... he had been off for 2 days. What was he supposed to do about it?I truly couldn’t believe what I was hearing. AND, I found it especially interesting that Andrew made time to accept full payment on his day off yet couldn’t find the time to alert the same customer of a schedule change. No commission in a schedule change I suppose.Wow.My partner spoke on the phone with Andrew about the time lost and the poor communication. Andrew HUNG UP the phone on him???!?!? (the call was on speaker so I saw the call time out and line go dead) My partner called to speak with the sales manager ( Richard ) and left a detailed voice message. The call was never returned. We asked to speak with Andrew’s manager. Manager-dude never even bothered to call back.Long story short, only after we offered to cancel the sale for a full refund did we receive an acceptable delivery/install date – less than the “promised” week away.Everything was delivered and installed on 1/31. And, by the way... HUGE props to the delivery and install teams. They were AMAZING and their customer service eclipsed that of the sales showroom.Standard TV & Appliance should consider bringing the field team into the Showroom to boost sales. Those folks have a great grasp on wanting to do a good job. Then, send the Showroom out to the field (including the sales managers) to get an understanding of how their actions on the sales floor affect the overall experience of bringing Standard into customers’ homes.I WILL NOT SHOP at STANDARD TV & APPLIANCE again. I will not recommend Standard TV & Appliance for home needs.
I am still very happy with my last 2 purchases from Standard. Refrigerator was purchased on sale for $500 in 2000. It still works great.After the Maytag that Home Depot sold us last year. I will never buy appliances from them again. A sales person at Standard would have warned me the new high tec low wash system with no agitator. Doesnt wash your clothes. At all.I will be in soon for a range. Dishwasher and dryer.If you want to buy appliances... Go to a appliance store. Not the Best Buys or Home Depots.

I have to say Ive had beyond great experience with these guys. My washer broke and the sales person went out of his way to the right one replaced. Even better, they helped pull strings so I could get same day delivery. With a toddler in the house, it made a BIG difference. WAY better than Sears or the box stores.

Prices seem good at first but the cost of future repairs + pain and suffering in later years using the (eventually) recalled appliances is NOT worth it. I will not purchase anything again from this company.

Could be one of the worst customer service experiences in a while. I purchased a fridge. The ice machine didnt work. Called 3 times to get it serviced all while waiting on hold for about 1.5 hours. Service couldnt be administered for a week. Fine. Service guy comes by and it still doesnt work. 1.5 hours later on hold and 2 voice messages later, still not call back and ice machine is still broken. Last time I will be buying from them.

The top rack of the Kitchenaid dishwasher (as part of the home purchase we made 3-1/2 years ago) suddenly collapsed. When we took it out, we discovered that three of the four axles were damaged, so we were just lucky that it held together as long as it did.We searched the internet, but the replacement didnt look the same as the part on our dishwasher. So we called Standard TV & Appliance and Dee explained that they had the interchangeable assembly in stock and would install it for us if we brought the top rack in.Corey removed the broken part and installed the new assembly in just a few minutes. He explained that the new part looks different because Kitchenaid improved the design. Then he showed us that the top rack could be raised or lowered (we didnt even know that).Terrific service, very helpful, quick,, knowledgeable and easy for us at a price that made sense. What else could you want from an appliance repair department?
New to the area, just bought a new home, saw their commercials, thought we would drop by and see if we can supply the home.Drove to the downtown store, first question was to see their TVs. They said that they dont sell TVs except by special order. (THEN WHY THE NAME). Then apparently our disappointment put off for sales guy and we never saw him again. So we left unimpressed.Probably wont be back or refer!!
The employees are on commission, so not honest about what might go wrong with the refrigerator that youre going to purchase. The prices are way higher than Home Depot, where the employees tell you that the ice makers are faulty, because no commission. Were not always able to drive, so we were misquoted on the phone by Linda who told us there was a side by side with water dispenser for under $900, but we arrived to find nothing like that exists. We bought a new fridge at Home Depot. Honest people get our money.
