The folks at Hip nailed it, they expedited the shipping of a wonderful sleeper sofa that we absolutely love. It arrived in time for my guests and made the visit very comfortable for all. I love this piece, it’s super cozy, fits the room great and is versatile. A seamless buying experience at a good price, very content and would recommend Hip to anyone.

We shopped at Hip several times in the fall of 2020 to get some furniture for a new house. We got very good service from John who was great about meeting us at the store (often on short notice) and assisted us in purchasing a recliner and a sectional. We had selected a sectional with specifications that were a little unusual. John called the factory after we placed the order and learned it was not possible to get it the way we ordered it. So, we started over and are looking forward to receiving the sectional soon. The recliner is fabulous and we hope the sectional will be just as great. Were pleased with the furniture and the service!

Unparalleled service and unforgettable products! I could not stop thinking about some of the furniture I found at HIP and ended up purchasing several items. John was patient and helpful with our in-person decisions (including design and color selection help) and provided prompt follow-up on all e-mail questions. Marshall, the warehouse wizard, went waaaay above and beyond when he welcomed me in on a Sunday afternoon to learn how to assemble a floor model bed we purchased. What an awesome store! It is appropriately named Hip, as the furniture it sells is very fresh and modern. Everything is top quality but what really inspired me to write this review is the service. I was greeted by Lauren within a minute or so. She was very friendly and helpful but never-ever did I feel any pressure. When I asked for additional help with fabrics and wood selections she did not assume the sale was in the bag. She gave me the information and the comfort to leave in order to contemplate my decision. I highly recommend this place.

The location/space to display the pieces is great and not only are they locally owned but they have quality, top of the line furniture with the most genuine and on-point customer service! The staff is awesome! I was working with Lauren particularly and needed a cover for a sofa that I had previously purchased years ago. Upon further investigation, the manufacturer no longer provided replacement cover. Lauren then went the extra mile and pulled some strings to get me the cover. Great customer experience. 5 stars all around!

Hip has an attractive showroom and an excellent collection of furniture that adheres to the modern tradition in its minimalism without sacrificing durability and comfort. I received prompt help here (that wasnt pushy or annoying) and wound up purchasing a very attractive couch and chair on my second visit. Prices can be rather steep here, but they manage to sneak a nice number of cheaper options among their collections.

The staff in the store are helpful and knowledgeable. The service department is outstanding. We moved 2 years after purchasing a table and it was damaged during the move. The service department order the part and installed it for us. Thank you so much!

For two months, I’ve spent countless hours visiting many showrooms in Portland and Beaverton to online Modern furniture ect stores... then returning several times to try to figure out my dining room and living room and no matter what, it just wasn’t clicking. These were all great places with very nice furniture...but then I found HIP...And from that moment on I knew this place wasn’t just any furniture store... I found something special.I’m telling you the minute I walked into that showroom not two feet in, I held my breath! This was it!!! All the elements, neutrals, textures and colors were so balanced... the variety was spot on and it felt like being in a Fabulous Interior Design Magazine!The Clear Italian dining chairs, the gorgeous floor mats (better than a throw rug) for dining rooms( that no one else has in their showroom mind you, thats a tip for you) and glass tables of all sorts, wood tables, some with metal trim, leather chairs, and recliners, oh so delicious sofas n pillows, art... it went on and on like the ultimate Sensory Experience.... And then there he was...Aaron the nicest most laid back knowledgeable man that effortlessly waltzed me through the entire showroom and in less than half hour I would say, the entire picture of my home became alive! He is so knowledgeable and understood my style, taking me in the right direction, tweaking this and that until perfection made its way! Aaron... I was like putty in his hand, giddy, following him around like a puppy while taking in all the elements that he suggested for my final review and choice. If anyone feels the frustration of shopping and not finding that “feeling that’s just right” anywhere else, come see Aaron. In fact don’t go anywhere else and come here first. The entire staff is so friendly...there’s a quality of relaxation here you really don’t find elsewhere. Thank you Aaron for all you have done for me... I’m so grateful!

I love my red modern red leather double recliner couch, it really helps me have less back pain as I have fibromyalgia. When one of the recliners needed a new switch about 13 years after I bought it, Hip continued to provide excellent customer service and helped me interface with the Italian Company that made it, all because they value their customers. Good looking furniture, but salespeople are not helpful. Called ahead the day before Memorial Day, was told they close at 4. Came in to look at a few color swatches at 3:48,the store was already closed. The salesperson leaving the parking lot said she could not get us in. Online info and phone answering machine states they close at 5. Wasted time driving 20 miles one way.

Nicely done beautifully crafted furniture store, but with horrible service with salesperson/owner. Hey No one likes a smug person, nose in the air, thinking they’re better then you. I dont care if you are the owner of the place or not. Would not recommend, dont wasting your time here.

I bought a sofa/chair/ottoman set recently at HIP and I told the staff at purchase time that Id pick it up myself when it was ready as they required a $200.00 delivery fee, which is the most exorbitant delivery Ive ever been quoted. When I arrived to get it, they put it in my truck and said that they couldnt help me to secure it in because of liability issues. I said I could understand that, but then I asked him to help me adjust my cargo strap so that I could use it, and he told me he couldnt help me with that either and then he walked away. I call that behavior rude, but Im from an older generation. I guess in todays world its just called the HIP way.
