Came into the Paul Schatz store and were immediately met by Matt. Matt was so great to work with! He never ‘directed’ us but let us lead as we looked at sofas and loveseats. He answered our questions, no matter how many we asked or how often we asked the same question again. He did so clearly and in a way that made us realize he was there to help us! And he has such a great way of interacting with people he made it fun! We did order a sofa and love seat and as we drove away reflected that we felt comfort in knowing that if there were any problems Matt and Paul Schatz furniture would take care of us!

A big thanks to Shelley Greenwood for helping us select and order a new sofa during our stay-at-home Covid 19 Pandemic! In March I sent a request to Paul Schatz Home Furnishings asking for information regarding a Stickley sofa that I had my eye on! Not only did I receive a same-day response with my requested information from Shelley, but she also stayed in weekly contact notifying me when the store would reopen so we could drive to Portland and sit on the sofa before ordering. We made the 300 mile drive from our home to Paul Schatz Home Furnishings in Portland where Shelly greeted us at the door and helped us through the decision making process (fabric and wood choices) of ordering our new sofa. We truly appreciate Shelley’s patience and assistance in making our purchase! One of my favorite places to bring a client and when doing so, I never worry about the service or quality of products they will receive. Sue Amos, in my opinion, is the BEST in the industry. Her expertise, knowledge and relationships with vendors is essential when it comes to a successful product. After 15+ years and hundreds of beautiful homes we have teamed up together, I can proudly say Sue and Paul Schatz Furniture is incredible!

COVID safety concern. When I entered the store, the first sales person I encountered had his mask off his face, under his chin, and kept it off. He was helping a customer. He was within a couple of feet of the customer. The customer was wearing a mask, as was I. I wont be back because I feel it is not a safe place to shop. The store manager/owner should do a better job of ensuring customer safety during this COVID pandemic.

We have purchased several pieces from Paul Schatz including a dining table and chairs two recliners, a leather couch and a few smaller items. All are high quality and beautiful pieces. Yes they are not inexpensive but they are very high quality products made in the USA or Canada. Delivery is prompt and courteous and on time They remove all packing materials too. Im so happy to support a family-owned local business that treats its customers well.

We went in on a Sunday (9/8) and was greeted by a representative. She was courteous and knowledgeable. No pressure at all. Photo copied a picture of what we liked and pretty much did not pressure to purchase at all. Assumed we were not going to purchase right now. Went home to measure and then came back and bought. We loved the furniture there. It was very nice. Also, there was a good variety of styles and price ranges. We did not want mid century furniture and they had a good selection of the current styles. Loved the show room and the sales person. We bought a leather and fabric couch, leather chair and a cocktail ottoman. Great service! Lots of selection. Would definitely go there again. Will review again when we know what the durability of the furniture is.

My favorite furniture place.

My name is Dan Grimes. I dealt with Teresa Ozo. I didnt want to assemble my own furniture, so I called ahead of time and asked which entertainment centers were actually on the showroom floor that could be taken home the same day. Teresa was nice enough to go find out, and called me back with a couple options. I looked at the options online, and drove out the same day. She sold me one, helped me load it in my truck, and I was able to go back home the same day and set everything up. While showing me the floor model, we discovered the shelves were missing (bummer), but I was already there and again wanted same day & assembled. Fast forward 3-4 weeks later, and Teresa hand-delivered the missing shelves right to my front door. Thank you for being honest and keeping your promise Teresa.

My favorite furniture store in the Portland area. It doesnt hurt that they are the primary Stickley dealership as well. The salespeople and designers are great to work with and their stock is very tasteful and upmarket, without being over the top. Their quality and value is significantly better than PB or C&B.

We ordered a sofa from Paul Schatz. Within a few weeks the fabric began to develop flaws that appeared as snags in the fabric. They would periodically appear. We shared this information with the folks at the store. After a complete investigation of the fabric they without any cost to us, the sofa was replaced, no questions asked. We were allowed to go an choose an alternative fabric and in typical time for a couch to be made we received our replacement sofa! Cant say enough about the service, treatment and quality of their products. A great place to shop.

This might be an OK place if you live in Portland, but if you live in Bend, forget it, even if youve already spent tens of thousands on furniture from them. They dont want to talk with you, wont help you, wont call you back and charge an EXORBITANT price for delivery just for one additional piece. Really too bad Stickley doesnt have a Bend outlet because Paul Schatz doesnt care about Bend customers.
