Popped in for a quick drink and Lou made first experience outstanding. Would recommend for anyone visiting the area. The best place to get great beer and great service. Will be coming back.

Its an intimate (read tiny) place that obviously was hit hard by Covid restrictions but even with that the place is fun and the staff is awesome.

Awesome service and great bottle selection. The beer on tap is definitely hop heavy, but they had a few lighter beers that I enjoyed. Great location right next to Pizza Nostra, who will deliver to the bar if you want.

Great selection. Friendly service. Clean, comfortable environment. You can order good pizza nextdoor at Pizza Nostra and have it brought over. My one issue is that Im not into huge TV sets running while Ill socializing, and they run two enormous ones.

What a great little spot in the heart of St. Johns! Great rotating taplist, small but mighty bottle and can selection, and really awesome bartenders. Plus they play all the Timbers games with sound.

Great local bottle shop. Bartenders are friendly and it has a real community vibe. I would love if they carried 1 or 2 inexpensive 6packs for convenience sake, but great nonetheless

A cute little bar in the corner of St Johns. If youve just come from a walk across the bridge, this is a good place to hit up. A nice selection on tap and a good place to watch people and traffic go by.

Excellent bottle shop and tap room. While they dont have the largest tap list in the city it is always well curated. The general manager, and beer buyer, Phil is very knowledgeable as is Louis and the rest of the staff. On top of the draft selections they have an excellent selection of beer and cider.

Hoplandia does an amazing job of curatingbeer/cider/mead/wine from Portland as well as from other states. Their bottle/can selection is diverse, and their staff is friendly and helpful.

Hoplandia is a great addition to the St. Johns neighborhood. They have a wonderful location, and decent parking in the area. A nice Tap list with a good bottle selection. Im looking forward to more beer events here.

New favourite place. Travelling through Portland for a few nights and ended up at Hoplandia twice in 3 nights.Bartenders and clientele are all awesome and the beers are amazing.Went in for 1 beer each time and ended up staying the whole night both times.

Kind of a divey taproom and bottle shop and not in the most convenient location unless you are already in St. Johns (and an absolute pain to get picked up by Uber at the location so do yourself a favor and walk across the street before booking), but I came for the beer list which looked pretty darn awesome and was. Though the selection is not massive by any means, the offerings are impressive and varied enough to satisfy most palates.

Wonderful lineups for the special event going on and very good selection of regional beers in the fridge as everyday offerings. In an odd part of town for us but we will probably be back on our next trip back from Astoria.

Great place close to everything else in the heart of St. Johns. Nice tap list with both beers and ciders, then a ton of bottles to choose from in the coolers around the seating area.

Some of the best beer selection in NOPO. They have almost always had the new hot releases. They have geuze. Not many places have or even know what geuze is. The guys know their beer.

Few people in this city know beer (and how to procure it) better than Phil. That he started a beer bar in Portland is a huge asset to those of us who scurry about the city looking for the freshest hops and the hardest-to-find bottles of wild ales, IPAs or imperial what-have-yous. The venue only has a couple of fridges but theyre stocked with some pretty darn good options. 10 rotating taps keep a well-balanced offering of IPAs, stouts, sours, cider, and lighter options. Once the pizza place next door opens, I hear itll be no problem bringing it over. Combine that with a couple of ginormous TVs (that thankfully usually have at least one hockey game on) and a solid wine offering and youve got yourself one good spot to sit, chill after work, and watch everyone else trying to get on the St. Johns bridge.
