The food was great and the beer was great too. The service was very good.
Great venue with lots of outdoor seating. Friendly staff and great brewery atmosphere. I always visit this spot when down from Seattle. Go Rogue, you wont regret it.
Its nice to be able to sample some of the Rogue innovation beers and get a bite to eat. Relaxed atmosphere. Attentive staff. Thank you.
Huge beer selection. Beautiful outdoor seating. Fun place to drink.
Went there with some colleagues and had an absolute blast. The beer is my favorite at a Portland Brewery so far—loved their IPAs. Crystal took awesome care of us!
Tried to order food over phone was told by hostess she was too busy to bother.Walked in 5 min later to an empty bar ordered food to go and a red beer on nitro.Walked back to bar to order root beer for my ladyWas charged 11 dollars for a root beer.GotSteak bitsTotsAnd chicken stripsFood was good beer was goodRoot beer was way over priced.Service terrible.Wont be back. And the food and beer was good not worth the terrible treatment.
Good place for warm beer.I wish that was an exaggeration, but Ive been here twice, barely a month apart, and the beer has been shockingly room temp. They dont refrigerate any of their glasses, and the beer seems to come out of the tap barely as cold as tap water. If you want your beer to be palatable, youll have to gulp it down in 5 minutes or less, ESPECIALLY on a hot day (you know, when people most want an ice cold beer).Only reason I gave two stars is because of the food. Steak bites were absolutely amazing, cheese curds & jalapeño jelly were delicious, but deliriously overpriced. I could get two orders of super fancy steak bites for the price of one order of a tiny plate of pretty basic cheese curds. We also had fish & chips- which were good, but served on this weird wood platter with many holes in it and only paper to prevent the sauces from leaking through.Altogether, disappointing. I just turned 21 and I was so excited to figure out what all the Rogue Nation hype is about, but I dont know if Ill even go back, much less join.
Came here by a friends recommendation, so glad we tried it! Nice sized pub with ample outdoor seating tucked away on a less busy side street. Food was great, had the black bean burger with an awesome side salad. My mom had the turkey sandwich (she was disappointed it was lunch meat but it was otherwise great). We both had beers, honey kolsch and pumpkin patch, both great. They have lots on tap here. Looks like a remodeled mechanic shop.
We had the most incredible time at rouge today on SE Belmont. The environment was great and so was the wether but what truly made it special was the staff. They were so sweet thoughtful and helpful. It was exemplary customer service! Big shout out to Colleen! Hands down the MVP! Hold on to her because she is treasure. Highly recommend this place!
Wow, what a venue! The old Green Dragon was kinda cool with a huge tap list but unfortunately was a bit too.... Portland eclectic. The new Rogue Eastside is amazing! Remodeled inside and out with a phenomenal outside area great for large groups and parties. Their 4-8 hopped flight is fun and they have a good happy hour menus. Bring the kids!
Good food, and a lot of their beers, with a decent selection of their seasonal experimental beers. Also have taps from other breweries, as well as their own spirits to pour.
Great spot, patio has lots of room. Beer selection a wonderful mix of classic Rogue, new innovative varieties and guest taps.
Simple patio with plenty of space between tables. Really love the drink options, including CBD sodas for friends that arent drinkers. Food is dangerously delicious 😋
Masks upon entering but off when seated. Great outdoor area. Helpful & Knowledgeable staff and tasty food and beverages.
So happy to have chosen this place after three hours of bike riding on Sunday afternoon.Beautiful day on patio as set up very well. The kölsch was outstanding.Ordered a reuben and buffalo cauliflower to eat...both were solid. Not sure why every brewery in Portland has counter service when venues are packed with patrons dying to drink beers. The disarray of table maintenance, plus the non ability to sell customers seems amazingly counterproductive. We would easily had two or three more rounds had someone offered. Rather we cleaned our own table and moved on to next venue with service.Seems like weird business model, but since everyone does it, I must be missing the point.
Great beer selection. Food is as expected which is your brewery type though a step above. Very friendly staff and seating is pleasant. Outside seating especially.
I called this location and spoke with a wonderful women who helped me get 5 flats of Dead Guy beer for a work Zombie party ! Then when I arrived to pick it up she loaded it, gave us some stickers, and was so friendly the entire time. I wish I would have remembered her name ( Short, blonde and was there in the AM). Either way thanks for the assistance and I will definitely order from this location again in the future!
Great food. Good brews.. Will totally go back
Super friendly staff, great beer/menu options. Large outdoor patio with plenty tables.
Shout out to the bartenders on the floor around 4:20PM on July 6. All of them were extremely friendly and helpful when it came to filling our growlers. There were two blonde woman and a brown man working the day I went. The lady bartender with the grill and def jam tattoo is a true rogue and made my day. I ordered a flight (strawberry supwise summer ale, raw cider, lightship double, raspberry tartlandia), and three beers (imperial stout, panda fluff, pallet jack), and got to try the fruit whoops (super mashy and tart, a true refreshing summer drink!). We also ordered the chimichurri fries and it paired really well with the panda fluff! In short, this is an awesome pub and your soon-to-be favorite. Tip your bartenders!
Good beer, amazing staff... Rogue is not a good company, objectively, but this spot is good
Usually enjoy this Rogue quite a bit. Im always sure to bring out of town visitors here to try out some of their many brews on tap. Its a chill environment with plenty of space both inside and especially outside during the few dry months we get in the beautiful PNW. Of the close to probably 25-30 times Ive visited, only a few times have the bartenders been less than friendly. If you catch them on one of those days as your first visit Id suggest giving this place another shot. Theres simply too many good beer options to hold it against a few negative people. And who knows what those people were going through in their lives on that day and at that time. Be kind and have a beer! Cheers!!
Good beer selection. Menu was nothing special.
Ok - WHERE DO I BEGIN? Rogue was the 2nd brewery we visited while in Oregon.Drinks: My boyfriend & I both did a Rogue Taster Tray - I ordered Paradise Pucker, Naked & Frayed, American Amber & Brutal IPA. My boyfriend on the other hand who LOVES craft beer ordered a Double Chocolate Stout, Hazelnut Brown, Barrel Aged Dead Guy & Mogul Madness. Everything was really good except Paradise Pucker was more on the sweet end.Food: We ordered a Small Kobe Beef Chili ($4), Kobe Blue Balls ($9) & Rogue Poutine Fries ($10). The Chili was phenomenal (well everything was) it was served with a slice of yummy garlic bread. The Kobe Beef Balls were Kobe Beef meatballs stuffed with Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue Cheese. And the best thing the Rogue Poutine Fries - OMG!! It was Short Ribs slow simmered with their Shakespeare Stout & cheese curds, served over Rogue Farms Idaho Fries. Ok, so my boyfriend & I are HUGE Travel Channel & Food Network fans & love watching shows about restaurants & foods around the world. Weve probably seen almost 20-30 versions of Poutine Fries on these TV Shows & have been DYING to try it. Rogues Poutine fries was absolutely HEAVEN in my mouth, literally to die for.Funny thing, their bathrooms is a little confusing to me. Theyre labeled Hops & Barley. I walked into the Hops bathroom & saw a guy standing at a urinal & walked right out. Hahaha then walked to Barley & saw a woman washing her hands. Funny experience.
Love this place love these people
Great recommendations! Great staffing! Great beer!
The Hazelnut Brown Nectar paired alongside the tater tots with the Korean BBQ sauce was an excellent mid afternoon snack.
I really enjoy their new spot especially when it isn’t raining outside because they have a very nice patio, fire pit, and corn hole. The inside has plenty of space, which is perfect for larger parties. I had the 1/2 lb Kobe Burger with tater tots, and it was pretty good! The pickle that comes with the burger was delicious!!!! I love pickles!
Chill homies, good CBD drinks
This is a worthy stop to make. They have an enormous selection of beers and ciders, can fill your growlers, and offer an excellent selection of food options to go along with your drink. The service was great, attentive, and correct! I didnt wait around for someone to help me, and was waited on well. They have good hours, and you can bring the kids along till 10 pm if you need a good outing and cant find a babysitter!I will definitely return again soon!
Great environment, poor service. Come check out the patio, but dont expect much from the staff.
About 30 taps! Outdoor dining (12-12-20) during Covid-19. Dog friendly. Bring warm clothes if it is cold. Standard pub food.
Plenty of space even during social distancing, with a large outdoor patio space and even a fire. Some interesting seasonal brews, along with classic Rogue staples, make this a reliable stop for a beer. Food is also quite good and makes for perfect sharing portions. (Try the reuben fries!)
This place has such chill vibes, the staff here sure know how to make you feel welcome and at home.
Nice staff, good drinks, good prices.
Rogue East Side - Quality, varied tap selection with personal and “independent” (guest) choices throughout - Seating options are a mixed bag, though expected for such an atmosphere that Rogue East Side is presenting - Parking can be a pain, true, but what worthwhile hotspot isn’t, these days?Note - Food not sampled at time of review
Super friendly hard working staff!!! Five stars and air fives all around. Amazing. They were taking all the proper precautions and going above and beyond.
Had a good time visiting this place. Make sure you grab a menu on your way in and decide what you want before sitting. They are happy to keep a tab open for you so feel free to wander out to the outdoor fire place and have a conversation. The tap list is very extensive. If you cant find a beer here you just dont like beer. In which case that matters not as they serve spirits and cocktails as well. Make sure you try the cheese curds as they are served hot with a rather tasty jalapeno jelly. My classic double cheeseburger did not disappoint as it had the perfect amount of pink and condiment ratio. Fries were seasoned with garlic salt which was a fun surprise.
A great atmosphere, amazing staff, great good and even better beer. Has a lot of outdoor seating. So hit them up and enjoy a cold drink.
Came here super late about 45min before closing. The staff seemed really annoyed by that during my whole visit and thats the only thing keeping this from a 5 star. I will for sure come back again to see if it can earn the 5th star. As I knew they were closing in 45min I ordered right away. I feel like the menu had a lot of good options and the prices were very reasonable. I decided on the curd burger and was not disappointed! The flavor was great! It was just the perfect amount of juicy and the fries were amazing! I wish I wasnt so full or I would have eaten every single one. I felt I got a good value for my money as well. The atmosphere was really cool and they had some cool fire pits outside that will be nice in the summer when its not raining. I will for sure be back.
Amazing patio area for outdoor seating and great selection of brews
It’s okay.Pros; the bartender I had was friendly and helpful. They have a huge outside space (you still need to go inside to order, which I found a bit odd considering almost everywhere in Portland has set up new systems to avoid coming inside and standing in the same space). They also have an extensive beer list and cocktails in a can.Cons; the food. I had the buffalo sliders they were dry, not spicy at all and the cole slaw wasn’t great. My friend had some type of sandwich which she said was extremely dry as well. - this is personal preference- but I am not a huge fan of their beers.
They adhere to good social distancing in theory, but some of the customers in the back seem to ignore the rules and staff doesnt venture back there to check up. But thats not the reason for 2 stars. The beer is pretty good with a wide variety to choose from. Sadly their cocktails are rather boring. We had one of the recommended gin cocktails and we got bored of it halfway through. The food is very low quality and should be avoided. We took tots and a quesadilla to go last time and the quesadilla tasted like chlorine and the loaded totchos had barely any topping. The food was so bad that it really turned us off this place. Modern Times and Cascade have much better food. If you want this kind of bar food at a lower price and without chemical taste, go to Life of Riley in the Pearl. Their drinks are cheaper too.
Best brews in town I would recommend to everyone!!
Ive been drinking Rogue for almost 2 decades, after my visit to this location I will never buy another product to support them. My wife and I came to Portland on vacation and I was super excited to make this our first stop. The lady behind the counter could care less. She was beyond rude. The first time I blew it off, the second time I wanted to buy some merchandise, but after my second encounter I wouldnt even buy the 1 dollar sticker. Skip this place and go to Modern Times Brewery 3 blocks down.....UPDATE, the upper management reached out to me. They were very apologetic, and did what they could to make up for this incident.
Great atmosphere! Best outdoor seating in the area.
Post Covid reviewIf you are into social distancing this place is for you. They have a huge outdoor deck. It is fenced in too so passer by folks can’t just wander thru. The food is much better than you would expect. The cheese curds are awesome if salty. We had the cubano with tots which was great.Of course they have a huge beer section too and also a lot do great cocktails and I had their cucumber lime soda which was surprisingly good.I heard from someone working there that they were going to get a cover for the outside tables in the winter that would be great too. Sitting inside not bad the place is huge with high ceilings.
Fantastic beer, food and merch! The staff is doing a great job during a challenging time. The outside patio feels real safe! Thanks Rogue!!!
Okay beers. Terrible food, and even worse staff.
Good food and beer with friends.
Good beer selection and great food! I recommend the totchos from the appetizers. Really good:)
Stoped in for a quick bite before a show at Revolution hall. Service was amazingly fast (especially since there was a huge crowd) and our food was great. Really awesome burger and the fries were super crunchy and delicious. Would definitely go there again.
The guy behind the bar tonight was extremely rude and very aggressive. We wont be back.
Must be an off day ( Ive started to review this saying when I don’t feel like going into a discussion)
Great beer, great food.Bar lady we got was so rude.Thought I would be 5 staring this place I have traveled nearly 8107 miles to be here from Australia and I can tell you now... where ever we go next will be better. If I wanted salt with my drink I would have asked for a margarita.
Fried chicken sliders are excellent, favorite beers were the spruce tip ipa and chocolate stout and Marionberry cider. Friendly and knowledgable staff, Reuben fries on point. Inviting outdoor space. We’d come back for sliders...
Favorite portland brew pub!
I came here on the recommendation of a friend and Im glad I went. They have a good beer selection and the food was delicious. I order the Hawaiian Seoul Burger and it was probably the best burger I ever ate! A good fusion of Korean and Hawaiian ingredients. It is located a in good spot, within walking distance to other breweries and bars. Only issue is the parking, street parking is limited to 2 hours during the week, so be cautious of your time.
Very unwelcoming, bitter server, I would of turned around and left but, I was meeting someone who recommended the place and didnt want them to feel bad. Hope my experience was an anomaly.
Love this place! Great selection of beers! Cheese curds and lettuce wraps were amazing and would definitely recommend. Huge outdoor area that had a great environment
Chocolate porter the very best! Apps quesadilla & soy curls, yum!
This pub has a large selection of great beers to choose from an very nice patio seating. My rating is not a reflection of the pub but the location. My car was broken into and items stolen last night while I enjoyed a beer. I was parked on 9th Ave just north of Taylor St. a block away from the pub. I know of two other friends who had the same experience two different times before. I will probably not go there again unless I can park in a brightly lit space closer to the pub! Be careful folks. If you have anything of value, take it with you!
Had a great experience at Rogue Eastside! Great beer selection, Good food, and nice service. I even felt compelled to edit my review from 2 stars to 4 stars.Original review (as reference):Usually, Im a fan of Rogue bars, and my husband and I loved the Green Dragon. The food tasted good, but it was cold when we got it. The drink selection was awesome, but they forgot my husbands drink and he had to ask for it again; Im not sure there was gin in my $10 gin and juice. The service was so slow, we only ordered one drink each. We got water half way through our food. We had to go up the bar for some napkins. You took a charming bar and turned it into a crappy overpriced chain. :(
This place had a great patio! The beer selection is of course wonderful and the food was pretty good too. The garlic fries are AMAZING. I ordered a Greek salad a few weeks ago and was a hit disappointed by its size, but other than that have always enjoyed what Ive ordered. Id definitely go back!
