We used NW Line of Style for our new home build. They did our custom cabinets for our entire house (2 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room, bar area, entertainment area). The cabinets themselves are great quality. However, what you have to deal with casts a major shadow on their amazing craftsmanship. The craftsmanship of the cabinets themselves, the great price, and the gentleman who is their installer are the only reason they’re not getting 1 star from us.We primarily dealt with the son of the owner. Part way between ordering cabinets and delivery/install, the original salesman we had dealt with was either fired or quit. Which led to some major mis communication. The lack of communication from the owners son was honestly horrible. He wouldn’t call back, text back, etc. sometimes for multiple days. Dates that things were promised to happen, went and were missed. Again with little communication. When building a house things have to go in a certain order. We became delayed on a few things because of cabinets not being done in time or people not showing up. I’d call the owners son and inquire. If he did answer, he’d lie and say “oh they’re supposed to be there” and then call back and reschedule for another day.I had purchased one set of glass cabinet doors for our bar area, that somehow kept getting forgotten. We lived in the house for a month before I finally got them. Again, I kept getting the run around of why they weren’t ready or when they’d be delivered to me.The biggest issue was around our refrigerator. In all of our designs it’s shows dimensions and a built in look for around the fridge. I had an existing fridge, sent dimensions, etc. Like I mentioned before, the salesman we had dealt with during designing left (quit/fired). When we moved the fridge in, it was too wide to fit in the opening. There was also 5 inches between the top of the fridge and the cabinet. How odd when I gave them specific dimension, right??? Well I called the owners son to problem solve and figure out what the deal was, how to fix it, etc. Instead I was met with hostility, yelling, blaming me, telling me I signed off on designs, etc. Well, I looked back at the designs I “signed off on” and low and behold, I signed off on correct dimensions and what I got wasn’t correct. I sent them to the owners son, he came out and look to “appease me”. When he came over, he looked at the hole that the fridge didn’t fit in, made excuses, he lied about how I had given them a custom fridge size opening that wasn’t a typical/standard size fridge (looked online at Home Depot, standard TV, etc and yes it was a standard size fridge), and he got very defensive again. Unfortunately for me, I had to buy a new refrigerator to fit my brand new cabinets that they messed up on.If I had all the time in the world I would have followed through with actually doing mediation through the CCB. I contacted the CCB for advice during the lack of delivery of my cabinet doors and the fridge hole debacle, and they were quite helpful. They encouraged me to fight NW Line of Style to at least get my new fridge paid for, but again, how much is my time worth.Again, they would have gotten 1 star if it wasn’t for the craftsmanship of the cabinets, competitive pricing, and their installer who takes so much pride in his work.
Great cabinets, very satisfied with the outcome!
Friendly, professional and quality. We loved how custom we can make our cabinets. Lots of options and choices. They good for remodel or new construction. We tried both times.
