Friendly staff. Very helpful. I came in looking for an item that was not there, however one of the associates called another location which had it and asked to hold if for me in the sizes I requested. Always visit this location when Im in town visiting.

Waste of time going to the store! I was expecting driving to town to a business I would be able to find some items! They turned it into some ridiculous boutique with nothing practical for outdoor gear! They don’t even carry a variety of footwear! Just a basic what they want to push! They are more than happy to direct me to other stores that actually carry their products which I found completely hilarious! One more reason not to go downtown it is sad!

Smaller one floor location. They have the basics here: clothing, shoes, some gloves/beanies. A few sizes were missing from the things I was interested in, but the associate was very attentive, friendly and went to the back for size and color checks. No fitting rooms available but you can try over your clothes, and for covid they will wash what people dont like from trying over their clothes. Mask wearing and social distancing is practiced her as well.

They always have the latest clothing merchandise! They do not carry much equipment/gear, or none at all in regards to like hiking/camping gear (or i just didnt see it.) Which would be nice to have with a big open spot they have at the front of the store. But every time I check out TNF here, staff is always friendly and helpful though, so thats always a +. They do have a coordinates tshirts/hoodies for Portland which I liked and bought! 👍

Maybe it was COVID-19 so customer size was smaller, but I got amazing customer experience and they helped me with a rain coat to fit my use case vs something I thought I needed 150.00 more

Their backpacks are high quality and last for a long time, and this store has a great selection.

The staff, on the other hand, made up for it there are also some items on sale that we did end up buying. Will most likely return because North Face is a quality product. The store has a great selection of those products

The North Face is the real deal. Good store for basic stuff. This store does not have the high end skiing and mountaineering stuff out on the floor. You cant buy the 4 season geodesic tent here. But, you can buy a hoodie with a picture of the tent on it here. Its a nice place to check out clothes.

I bought a backpack from North Face 10 years ago. After using it for a full ten years, it started to get threadbare and come apart at the seams. I brought it in to the store, and the associate told me that the backpack is still, somehow, covered by a warranty. He helped me fill out a form, and he sent it back to the company. It was an incredibly simple and hassle-free process. North Face is either going to fix it, or send me a new backpack. I will absolutely keep shopping North Face.UPDATE: They ended up sending me a beautiful new backpack. Ive taken the new pack on a few backpacking trips and love it even more than my last one. Im definitely a forever customer.

This North Face store is gigantic compared to the Seattle location. I found two coats here and even better - both were 40% off!

Rude staffer: guy with long pony tail.We tried on the thermoball coat today. I asked the man working there if it was fake down because I dont like to use down feathers. He rolled his eyes and said no its not fake, its synthetic.I decided to try it on and noticed that there was lots of white powder inside it, maybe the last person who tried it on had dandruff or something. It did not look clean and I wanted a fresh one, naturally.So I asked him if he had a fresh one in the back because I wanted to buy it, but didnt want to buy a dirty gross one. He said thats really weird and walked off. Didnt even ask or let me explain why I didnt want to buy the display modelReally rude, so we decided to leave. Wont be shopping here.

I needed help finding a jacket in store that was on a mannequin, turns out they were down to two and the guide at the store just was so kind about having to take it down. I never felt more encouraged and supported to buy anything in my life...and our cashier was friendly AF, we figure out which trail we were going to hike while in portland while chatting with her

Another awesome neighborhood store for me! I have always been impressed with the excellent customer service here and my last time in was no exception. My useless Columbia rainjacket was failing and I practically ran to the North Face store after work. I asked about rainjackets and was shown a couple different models with great descriptions. And you just cant beat their lifetime warranty!! 👍

Stopped in here to look at some bags... the staff is superrrr friendly! Bobby helped us out the most, great guy! Next time I visit Portland will definitely be stopping in again. Smaller selection then some other TNFs but the backpack selection was pretty good.

They are having a winter sale going on right now! I picked up my Apex rain coat for a really good price. As you will find with any online/physical store North Face prides them self on quality gear and this store is not an exception. Ive owned my fleece for the past two years and its still holding strong. Also, they will work with you on pricing for some items that you may find online cheaper. Speak with the staff, they are friendly and will recommend whats good to wear for certain climates.

Giving this location 2 stars because when I called on the phone the customer service representative was extremely helpful and friendly. They should carry childrens sizes, our future generation likes to be warm too!

Today went there & exchanged my sport shoes which was baught by my husband from Dubai/ Emirates last year.I dont know the name of young sales associate man as well as his manager a young beautiful lady, Thank you guys, you are awesome. I like the store.I dont wear much The North Face -- I find their label is too prominent on their clothes. But I do love their outdoor stuff and love stopping by their store when in the Pearl district.

Very nice and warm and dry clothing you may not need in much of the US but if a far north or south or tall mountain is in your future (OE perhaps a northeast winter vacation) you will find the clothing you need here.

I really like their down jackets, worth the money. I dont know about he rest of their products, I havent ventured outside of winter jackets, but for those like me that never want to be cold, theyre great.

I have always liked and bought Northface products my whole life. Until recently they were the only jackets I really ever bought. But after my most recent experience at this store and with their terrible customer service I will not be buying the Northface anymore. I bought a hoodie from the downtown location a month back. I literally washed it one time in a laundry bag, in a brand new washer, didnt dry it, and it came out looking like it had been worn for years! The quality of this product was very poor and when I went to the store to exchange or return it the manager was rude and said they wouldnt do anything for me since I washed it ONCE!! I bought it like a week before that and wore it one time! So I had them send it down to their warranty department for inspection and now have to wait 6-8weeks for a decision to be made. This whole thing has been a awful experience and it obvious the quality of Northface products just arent what they used to be.

After receiving a unexpected package from tnf last night little after midnight drove through a snow storm down Mt hood to welches. Large box opened it up to find my warranty repair had returned twice as fast as promised. Cleaned and nicely repacked of course fixed. Let me first tell you the warranty shouldn’t be why you buy a product but this one will pay for itself if you actually use your equipment. I baught my first tnf gore Tex jacket while still in high school I lost it or it was stolen within a year. My second one I held on to and it lasted 7-8 years when the seams started to fair I sent it in and after a few months I was sent a gift card for enough to buy my second tnf jacket. I still have that jacket today. Since the original jacket purchase it has been close to 15 years and the one that just came back from warranty although it was repaired and not replaced it gets compliments and inquiries as though I had just baught it props tnf on making a great product but more importantly for standing behind it!
