Cute shop with great coffee and pastries. I am a decaf oat milk latte kind of person and they made a fabulous one! Parking next to the building and several tables to work at. Lively at 8am in the morning when we stopped.

We ordered the smoked maple latte and a mint mocha with oat milk. Both were absolutely delicious!

This is my wifes favorite coffee place. She likes the sea salt cardamom latte. We drive out of the way for this.Today I tried their Portland Fog and it was very good.

This was my first time trying a Portland Fog and Im not sure Ill be able to order anything else now. I also ordered the cheddar Jalapeño biscuit and the Jalapeño did not disappoint. When my apartment was flooded downtown, I had to temporarily move out here to Beaverton. I tried a few different coffee places in the Nike area and was very disappointed. Finally drove up to Haven and was so relieved! As another review noted, the Sleepy Monk Sumatra is pretty intense for most palettes (mine included), but their light/medium roast single origins are flavorful and clean, even as a drip. Highly recommend this place!

The best specialty coffee shop in the suburbs. So many things to love: consistently dialed in batch brew with rotating single origin roast, rotating whole bean selection from guest roasters, and fantastic baked goods from Jen and Bees. Staff is always friendly and helpful!

I went there for the first time and there was a line out the door, but the line actually moved pretty quickly (they seemed pretty efficient). I got a cardamom latte and a pastry and they were both amazing!!!

I just finished going to Haven for the first time and the service was exceptional and the drinks, tasted better than Starbucks, if you get the chance to check it out, you will not be disappointed!

Cute little place, easy to get to from the highway and ample parking/seating. I always judge a coffee place my first time there by their mocha - this one is good. Not too sweet, but definitely chocolatey. I got a snickerdoodle cookie, too, and I think warmed it wouldve been perfect. We got here just ahead of a weird Sunday 2pm rush.

I ordered a coffee latte, and it was really hot, the milk was steamed too much, so it tastes like burned milk! The service was terrible, couldnt hear my friends conversation because the employee was vacuuming the floor!

My favorite small, indy coffee shop. Big tables, chill atmosphere, super friendly staff. I love their coffee (Sleepy Monk from Cannon Beach)! They also introduced me to hemp milk and I love it so much, Ive only seen it at this cafe. My one wish is for them to have more plants inside, those big windows must be utilized!! The aesthetic would improve so much, although I dont mind too much that it feels like my aunts dining room. I have a few pothos and spider plants I would happily donate!

Consistently one the best lattes in town. Sleepy Monk has the most beautiful balance of bold flavor with a smooth finish, it is so heavenly. Along with that, they are incredibly consistent, staff training must be very good. I have been here so so many times and have almost never had a bad latte. The latte art is lovely and you know its going to be delicious when you pick up the cup and its lighter than you expected -- the milk is really well balanced and aerated. I wish they had breakfast sandwiches, the location and interior leave a little bit to be desired but man... the coffee is the best.

This is one of my favorite coffee places. Sleepy Monk Coffee is beautifully roasted and is an excellent espresso. You also have a choice of another fair trade coffee. The owner(s) are almost always there and they have a cheery and well-trained crew to serve you the best specialty drink possible. Pastries, both sweet and savory, are excellent and fresh. It is busy without being hurried.

The coffee is really good here, they have fully refurbished the place, very cozy and new looking.

Absolutely delicious coffee. I had an iced salted Carmel mocha and was very surprised at how much better it is than everywhere else. Just the flavor of the coffee was very very good. Not too bitter or acidic, just a strong, good flavor. And the people working there are super nice as well. I think Im going to have to go here regularly now.

Hands down the best coffee Ive had in the Portland area. Jane and Jerry (the owners) are wonderful people. When my constantly changing work schedule allows, I have coffee here with a friend pretty much every week. I dont know about the crazy advanced coffee making tactics of the super snobs, but Ive restored more than one commercial machine to fully operational condition and Ive never been able to make anything close to as good as what they make even when I spend $30/lb on coffee. Definitely recommend. Great people. Great coffee. Reasonably priced. Cheaper than Starbucks for sure... And doesnt taste like burnt dirt like Starbucks does.

Went there for breakfast but they didnt have more than a few pastries and bagels. The chai latte was tasty but the 1st inch of 20 oz was foam. So it was more like 18 oz.Nice big tables with power outlets. So working on a laptop is great with all the big windows.

Very Good to excellent coffee and fresh pastry in this small, slightly out of the way walk in coffees/teas/hot chocolate enterprise. Haven has a kid friendly, family atmosphere and is my preference, (rather than Starbucks), to enjoy a short chat with the barista, the aroma of an excellent cup of roasted brew, to help you start your engine on a weekend or weekday. The Haven Coffee Co. is a little place that seats few and has limited parking (otherwise I would give it 5 stars).

Haven is one of my usual spots for a good Iced Caramel Latte and a good book. It has a great atmosphere and good coffee. Worth a stop if youre in the area.

Coffee was really good. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Setting is warm and comfortable with a great coffee shop feel. Only downside is the parking and location. In the busy weekday hours it can be a challenge to navigate in the area with traffic.That being said, I will be returning for future visits.

Coffee was fantastic, they appear to use sleepy monk beans. Atmosphere was a bit cold and getting to the location was not very easy if youre not already familiar with it. If I lived in walking distance Im sure if be a regular. The person running things was kind and helpful.

Came in and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. Needed to get some work done free of distraction and this is a great fit! The coffee is of great quality and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food items they have are tasty; I had their mini quiche which was fresh and delicious. This is my fourth or fifth time coming to this shop and they are never disappointing! Four stars only because I always leave room for improvement. A few of their tables are a little low, though I am also rather tall 😁

The bagels they have with the picture of a doggo on them are amazing. Please do yourself a favor and try them.I cannot drink coffee but my partner said that was good too.

I used to say this was the best coffee shop in Portland. Back when they opened it was called poppas haven, and the place had a great mom & pop feel. Now it feels like they are trying to be too trendy. They still have good coffee, just not the place I used to know.

They have hemp and oat milk alternatives which are great. The honey lavender latte is very sweet. Personally I would ask for it half sweet so you can still taste the coffee. Comfy spot with outdoor seating available.

Great coffee made by great people. The pastries are fantastic, and I recommend the Cardamom latte. The owners are solid people. Working locally in EMS, they are nearby to one of the posting locations and have on multiple occasions offered to brew my crew fresh coffee well before they actually open their doors for the day. Cant beat that kind of service. Parking is tight when they get busy, but dont let that deter you.
