My daughter just turned 8. She is fully functional autistic. She said,mommy,this is my dream come true! This place is magic!

I just proposed to my new fiancé here today. One of our first dates was here so it seemed like a fitting place to ask the question. The staff was so excited to share in our moment and offered to take pictures for us. Great group of people, happy fiance, and great stuffies!

Great workers, went in as two young adults who just wanted to be nostalgic and the staff definitely entertained our trip back to childhood. Would be happy to go back

I didnt know you can come back with an older Build-a-bear stuffie and get it re-stuffed for free! They have 2 different hearts you can choose for you buddy. And you can add a sound to them if available. They new heart dance is tamer than I remembered. Which I suppose isnt a bad thing if you are an older person, easily embarrassed. It can get spendy so do plan accordingly!

All the people were absolutely lovely and a pleasure to work with. Best experience ever and I cant wait to go again

We love going to Build-A-Bear Workshop the staff there is nice. The kids have so much fun ! The pricing is good ! You can find good deals online if you take the time to look!

The two people working today (2/8) were not very friendly. The guy was very condescending towards me and he would only talk to my brother-in-law. He also made very rude comments about my 1yr old daughter. Used to be such a wonderful place when I was a kid. Definitely not returning to this one.

My son had a wonderful time. I am giving it a 4 and not a 5 because even though we called ahead to confirm the had what we wanted, when we got there they said they had been out for awhile. Also because it is pricey. The lady we worked with was amazing though! We will do it again.

I love in Vancouver so dont get to go to this store as often as I would like (really wish they would come back to Vancouver mall!!) The people are usually pretty friendly and this lovely young girl (although she had a little bit of a mustache!) Was so enthusiastic and knew all the animals back stories and everything it was really endearing. My biggest qualm is obviously the process because it is very VERY expensive.

Service is wonderful here, everyone is so nice!!!

They were well organized and prepared to accommodate customers during Covid times, and made the experience fun as usual!

I accidentally planned an ill-timed visit to BAB today, which was totally my own fault. My 3 year old had a complete meltdown in the store because I had miscalculated naptime, and he was super naughty even by 3 year old standards. Normally, I wouldve just put our items back and brought him home, but the staff was kind enough to have given us the last raptor in the store- the display one. My son had carried it all over the store before The Meltdown, and I didnt want to have to put something back on the shelf that could not be re-sold (given concerns over the pandemic), so I decided to try to redirect and bear (haha) his unlovely behavior.I tried everything. Redirecting the behavior, talking it out, threatening consequences, and I was floundering. I just wanted to buy the darned dinosaur (that I was now regretting my decision to purchase). The store was getting busier by the second and my son was escalating.Then in swoops John. Despite how busy they were, this godsend was upbeat, unflappable, and totally judgement free. He made what seemed to otherwise be an impossible task so quick and efficient, and even followed my kid out of the store when he randomly took off running outside the shop so I could just enter my gosh darned PIN and compete the purchase.Thank you, John. You were my hero today. This embarassed, tired, and frustrated Mama thanks you from the bottom of her heart.

I used to love this store but today i had such a bad experience. My kids were very excited to go in we stand there waiting for 10-15 minutes we notice they had their queueway to block the entrance and we thought it was because they almost reached their capacity plus it said they closed at 7pm and it was barely 5:45. No once did they said to us anytjing even though both the employees that were there saw us standing. Until my husband ask them and that one guy then said they were close... Im here thinking close? Its a quarterly til 6 and theyre close, but their building hours stated 11- 7 everyday. It was very unprofessional.

So friendly and helpful. My two year old got so excited to come here for his birthday to get his birthday bear and show his sister how everything works. The workers were friendly and made it a truly wonderful birthday experience. :)

Whats not to love. Again it was Monday, lite foot traffic. For me the selection was limited. And they didnt have all the pieces to put a stuffy in a military uniform.

So many great memories bringing my kids here. The staff is good at making sure you have a special experience. My kids still have all of theirs, and my oldest is almost 20. :)

Horrible Experience. Got denied entrance due to my 3 year old not wearing a mask. Will take my business elsewhere.

Wonderful for a 8 yr olds birthday!!

We went here to celebrate my little ones birthday by surprising her with he choice of bear or stuffy. The staff was helpful in the process and before we knew it we bought 2! There are tons of options for what type of stuffy you get, clothing, sounds, and accessories. Great for a child imaginative play. As an adult I have enjoying g making myself one too.

The lady who helped my kids through the whole process was amazing. It was painless and easy, my kids loved her. They have a decent selection of different animals, from bears to Mario characters. Plenty of clothing options, sounds and smells.

I love build a bear, I always have. But the employees give me judging eyes whenever I walk in there to make a stuffed animal for a younger cousin. Like yes I am a teenager and yes I am here at build a bear. Take my money and dont judge me please.

Its for kids.! I was buying two bears, one Star Wars - Chewy, an a regular Bear. I worked the pedal to stuff the animals... Unique Idea for a store, an products.!! I loaded/filled up the two critters I was buying, an on my way I went...!!

It was a great experience for my husband and I to take our daughter. The staff were wonderful and our daughter loved it. I do have to say though once we got home which is 4 hours away I realized the poppy she got made had a broken head band. It has velcro on one side to keep it together but nothing on the other side. Other then that I would totally recommend this place.

Pretty typical BAB with the exception that whenever there is a special sale - like the pay your age or the Friends & Family no exclusions events - they remove key animals from their store shelves during the event and bring them back out after the event. This is the only BAB nearby and several times weve noticed this happens. Very disappointing. Every other BAB Ive visited has never done this. I truly wish we had another store in the area I could visit instead. 😢😢

Great staff and great experience for kids. There is a ton of online coupons you can find as well. The staff really engages children and makes building their bear fun!

Really expensive, but my daughter loved the experience....

The bears have gotten costly most of them are $25.00 or more. Clothing for the toys are $8.00 and up. The voice boxes are $8.00 or at least the ones where you record your own voice are. There is not a lot of recording room on them either. Kids still like to go there and on there Birthday the get a bear for the price of the age they a turning.

Kind and helpful staff. Many choices of stuffies at all different price ranges. Always a fun time.

My daughters favorite store!!! Where else can you actually build a bear or buy accessories for your favorite stuffed animal??? This is the place and the staff are super friendly as well!

I LOVE the people who work here. They never judge me being a grown woman coming in and getting my stuffies. They treat me just like they would a child, when it comes to creating and bringing the the stuffie to life. I love getting to do the heart ceremony, and controlling the stuffing pedal. And they will let you come back and add more stuffing when be your friend starts getting floppier than you would like, or take out stuffing when you realize that your new friend isnt cuddly enough.Gift cards are a great option for a gift as most of the fun is creating the bear and picking out accessories.

Great place to take your kids. Great and helpful employees. A Paw Patrol bear, his outfit and sound in his paw was $50 but my son had a blast doing everything. A great memory was created.

Lot of people here and only one employee, but John took care of everyone with a baller attitude and as quick as he could. 10/10 would come again.

This is a complaint to corporate not the store;The next time you plan a huge deal like that- make sure you make it long enough to where all kids interested to benefit. The isybyour age day was a huge scam to get people to sign up for memberships but no promise to the experience. I’m not going to support a toy company that left my child disappointed.

Ive never been there but if I ever want to build a bear thats where Im going because it only makes sense if you love someone and theyre young and they love teddy bears go build them a bear.

I always love going into this store. Seeing the cute plushies that you can make. Today I was on a mission to pick up the psyduck pokemon, and they had it up front and in stock. I was super happy with the woman who helped me. A great place to go even as an adult. :)

Not good the employee was not very helpful or nice and when we were paying ahead took the tags off and keep them. She didnt ask us if that was ok to do and she was helping us and she just walked away and started helping another person because it was a little girl and she was so nice to them and keep talking to them and ignored us.Would take everything back Id it wasnt my grandsons birthday

They have all sorts of selections of bears for your kids I just went and got my son a PAW Patrol Build-A-Bear and you can also go and buy the outside of the bear and come back with your receipt and bring your kid to come and stuff and make the bear with you.

Great experience even without your kids. We went to get our grandchildren a couple bears and they had us do the cutest dance ❤

Staff where so friendly. When I got one they made small talk and was trying to get everyone to be happy and smiling.

We took our granddaughter to BAB for her birthday, a tradition we do with all our grandchildren when they turn 5. Its alway so much fun! All of our grandchildren hav ande such a good time! We had our daughters 7th birthday with you folks! Derrick was nothing short from AMAZING!!!! He captured the group that ranged from ages 1-7 fluidly! We as parents just stepped back and watched! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE. They are anti-disability and treat their employees worse than Walmart. My wife worked at this location for three months, and was discriminated against due to her disability. I cant describe the entire situation in detail because we are in the process of taking them to court over this matter. We encourage anyone who has been through a similar situation with this company to do the same.Their management needs to realize that their unethical and illegal actions cannot and will not go unnoticed. The management also needs to realize that they are simple retail store operators, not dictators who think they can treat people like slaves. I have witnessed a lot of injustice from this store, which is about to be brought to light. After the fact, I will go back and re-edit this review to disclose ALL of the injustices committed by this store and its management.

Had to spend an entire day of my kids being upset and crying because they didnt get to be involved in the spend your age day, so we got a voucher just to find out the one stuffed animals my kids wanted are now no longer in store, which were the dinsosours, and now theyre ONLY available online but the voucher is only available for in store purchasing. Such a waste of my kids time just to get even more discouraged. Spending over $50 for 2 stuffed animals is absolutely ridiculous and for a company I supported for such a long time, Im very disappointed and will go elsewhere for my kids.

Got my son his,first build a bear on his birthday July 30th . At check the lady is rude ....ok eveyone has bad days I understand . The thing that is truly making me,mad is,the fact not even a month later half the back of the stuffy has a hole in it an stuffing is falling out keep in mind my son only ever takes,naps an goes,to,bed with it so,there shpuld be,no reason with how much I,spent its falling apart less then,a month later
