I love this place. So far my favorite shop in Portland. I bought many unique and whimsical gifts and art. Everything is 50 % off because the owner is retiring. Yay to the former an boo to the latter.
COVID (timeframe) review: the staff wears masks and provides hand sanitizer that you must use when you enter the store unless youre legit going to keep your hands to yourself. I love that. I also passed on it, initially, because I was wearing gloves and didnt intend to purchase anything. Nor did I plan to touch. I ended up going back for a spray, which was very nice as they make it themselves! I love that its a local shop featuring local art (not all, but quite a good selection,) and cool and unique items. I also love that theyre safe but kind about enforcing.I ended up needing that spritz of sanitizer when I found the coolest Alice art which I knew would be right up the alley for one of my closest friends who happens to have a birthday in two days! Then I bought many more things because I love the shop! Right now more than ever we need to support our local business
The lady behind the counter whom I would come to know as Jacq is very polite and welcomed me as I entered the business. She knew the products and was informative on similar products in the store. She is very bubbly and seems to enjoy the atmosphere she works in. She also thanked me upon my departure for visiting the store. To me customer service is the lifeline of any great business. She nailed it !! Because of her I will make it a point to stop in when I am in the area. Thanks Jacq.
A neat knick knacks store with plenty of things to look at and purchase. Friendly staff.
This shop is really confusing. And not confusing in the Oh, look at all the well-chosen and reasonably-priced eclectic collections. Bad confusing. Small-town thrift shop confusing. If I had one suggestion for the owners of this business, it would be to pick a point-of-view and stick with it. They just moved into a brand new space down the street, and Im not sure how they can afford it.
