The driver was great!!! Knew his towing. The people who take your call are not ad good as they used to be. Even though I had tows left on membership, they said I had to sign up for another year. What else could I do. Drivers great!!!! Dispatchπ
The Driver Who assisted me Was The Best of the Best Im Glad to say.. I really Appreciated The help & His professionalism .. Thanks again
Ive been with AAA for years, but I recently needed to update my insurance. I worked with Hillary Byler at the Market St. office. Hillary is friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. She took the time to research several policies and provided me with 3-4 different package options. When the car insurance application wouldnt be available in time for my appointment at the dealership, she looked into other options.
*WARNING - DO NOT USE AAA*. I recently used AAA Oregon/Idaho roadside to replace dead battery but the technician improperly installed & subsequently caused ~$800 in damage. I filed a claim to get reimbursed, but AAA refuses to accept responsibility despite abundant evidence. The whole experience has been such a sh*t show. It took the AAA tech a really long time to replace the battery (3/12/21), when I asked him if everything was okay he told me that one of the bolts was threaded weird and was having a hard time reaching it with his ratchet (see pic of text w/friend). I didnt think hed leave it loose... but 5 wks later (4/21/21) my car wouldnt start and the tech that came out to help me found the loose bolt/connection & burnt/melted terminal (see pics). AAA sent out another tech the same day to try and resolve things, but still could not get car to start despite installing new battery. When towed to the dealership they said the battery was dead and several fuses were blown. Once they replaced the battery, fuses, and removed arching damages the car started and has been running fine. The mechanic at the dealership, several mechanic friends, as well as the first AAA technician that helped me on 4/21 all agree that the underlying issues were clearly caused by a loose battery connection left by the AAA technician who replaced my battery. Thus, AAA should be responsible for all damages and should reimburse me the full amount it cost to repair.
Tow truck #19 just almost ran us into another lane of traffic because he was taking the wrong exit on 405 bridge. Take the exit next and turn around next time its safer.
I am a middle aged woman who was stranded in the dark at night trying to remove 2 snow chains. One of them was half off except the back was still connected but I could not reach it. I called AAA to have them send a tow truck to me to take them off the rest of the way. They said AAA does not put on or take off snow chains. They said tow truck company can tow my perfectly running car back to my home or car shop without me of course. I guess I was expected to run behind the tow truck through 2 towns to get home as well. I will never recommend AAA to anyone ever again. I will never pay for AAA ever again. I have been a member for over 10 years. AAA officially sucks. I was absolutely hysterical last night.
Was able to get some euros when no one else had them
Ive been a member sense 2018.I pay 100$ for myself or 130-140$ to add someone else. We both get 4 tows up to 100 miles. Well worth it..
LUKE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Cant remember his last name, but he had a badass anchor tattoo :) He was quick, easy, and polite to boot!!!!
Very fast service!
Great information from Samantha will continue working with her for my trip planning.
YOUR NEEDS ARE MET MOSTLY.
Great am talking the portland brunch really nice customer service.
The hands down best thing you could purchase for $150! This is a life saver everytime you need one.
They got my questions answered quickly and accurately
Customer service is great.
Garrett was especially helpful & polite!
Had two AAA tow truck drivers fry my hybrid battery by jumping it wrong. They wouldnt have needed to jump it if they had sent the right truck - a wheel lift - which they did not. THIS WAS AN ESTIMATED $6000 IN DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE, ALSO THEY TOTALLY DENIED IT WAS THEIR FAULT. Nice guys.
Always helpful and efficient
They couldnt help me during the storm because I was safe. But they did say I could pay for a tow and get reimbursed.
Mediocre unenthusiastic but got the job done quickly and efficiently.
Iβve always had good experiences, until today. I needed my car towed to the mechanic before I had to go to a doctors appointment and then to work. I guess since I wasnβt on the side of the freeway or some dangerous situation, they decided to take an hour and a half to bother even starting to get on route. There was no traffic at this time, no logical reason for the delay. Inconsiderate and lazy! What if I lose my job because Iβm late waiting for you guys to figure out whether or not you want to help me? Am I not paying you guys enough? Honestly do better and try harder. Next time Iβll always say Iβm in a dangerous situation so you hurry up. What a joke.
Friendly fast service
Very prompt and very polite
Friendly and got to me super fast
Great service, friendly, helpful staff. Great travel section. My only complaint is that you can only enter the parking lot on 6th and exit on Broadway. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
The people were very cordial and helpful with your parking information and ideas about the safety of Portland. :-)
We had a scary experience last night. Our truck broke down on the freeway. We couldnt get off far enough so trucks were shaking our truck. Andrea ( dispatcher) worked for hours to help us. Finally midnight we were Townes to our sons. Young Tom the toe truck driver was great! He treated us like we were family, helped me in n out of his huge rig and basically was wonderful. I cant thank Lilly Pad Towing, Andrea and Tom for saving us. I highly recamend these caring people for getting us ( our dog too) to safety.β We hope to get truck fixed today and back on the road to WA. To enjoy the Holidays!
Needed help in the middle of the night. My battery died for the second time today! Called, they wanted to bill me for a tow. Classy. Low class, still classy.
Attended a travel packing seminar today that was very informative. Highly recommend anyone who travels take this class with Anne.
Great customer service
I left for work, found my car would not start. I called AAA, I had a service agent at my car in 45 minutes. Name is Alexander. The service was performed professionally, reassuringly, and efficiently. I learned my battery needed replacing, my alternator had no problems, and he had a battery for me, which he replaced. Best service I have ever experienced. Alexander saved my day, I did not have to wait at the dealer for 3 hours for a fix. He was done in 20 minutes.
Our family is never without AAA protection. You shouldnβt slow yours to be either. Annual plans start @ under $100 for all-inclusive roadside assistance that gets you, your spouse, children & even friends the help they need via a local agent immediately. There is no $ amount that can be assigned to the safety of you & your children, and yet this is a must-have many of us forget still exists @ old-school pricing, values & service standards.
I have CANCELLED MY MEMBERSHIP after only one week because the first time I needed it, after only five days as a member, I was denied roadside assistance on the grounds that AAA does not send tow trucks to cars disabled on hard packed gravel roads. Everyone I later mentioned this to said thatβs outrageous and not right. I agreed. But I was stranded 20 miles into the Ochoco National Forest, with only the last five miles being hard packed gravel. Not the time to argue with the AAA rep. I was told to call a private tow company. I did. The nearest one was 80 miles away. They came for the tow, and informed me that they tow in this area with AAA calls all the time, including on Forest Service roads.I was lied to by AAA and denied service, and being 74 years old, was left in a potentially dangerous, even life-threatening, situation.I HAVE CANCELLED MY MEMBERSHIP AS NOT JUST WORTHLESS, BUT ACTUALLY DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS, AND WILL NEVER JOIN AAA AGAIN, AND WILL SHARE THIS EXPERIENCE WITH EVERYONE I KNOW, AS WELL AS POSTING ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA AND REVIEW SITES.AAA IS A BAD COMPANY. DO NOT TRUST THEM TO PROVIDE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. THEY ARE A WASTE OF MONEY.
I am a AAA approved repair shop. With that said, I had to have AAA come and tow a 1973 Trans Am 455. We had been to Beaches Car Show and was just leaving when it died. 1st time I got to use my AAA card. D. Daugherty was the tow truck driver. He knew what he was doing. The Trans Am has a low spoiler just off the ground. He did a superb job of putting it on the flat bed and towing. Thank you
Been a member for many many many years. In fact gave a gift membership to my daughter which I renew yearly.Admittedly the store is hard to get to as it is in downtown Portland. Parking can be a house so but at least its free.
$140 for a jump start 2.5 mi from your service center what a jokeπ
We recently saw a Celebrity cruise that is advertised by AAA and Expedia, so we decided to call the Portland AAA office -- and book the cruise locally. Sadly, we experienced the AAA booking process as tedious, involving many phone-tags, email authorizations to pay for each item charged on a Credit Card, long waits for AAA to call Celebrity Cruises and then call us back with Air Travel quotes (that turned out to be for the wrong dates!). All the prices quoted by AAA were higher than Expedia. Yet, AAA gave us no benefits for having AAA memberships. It became much simpler, faster, and much more cost effective to book the rest of our trip (flights and hotels) online, instead of waiting for AAA, then paying higher prices for the same flights. It was also much simpler and faster to complete our cruise documents then buy Celebrity excursions online. Sadly, The Good Old Days, of booking travel by calling our local AAA office, no longer work for us. Using online Travel Agencies, like Expedia, or Costco, gives us 24/7 Service, Collect Phone numbers to call when we are traveling out of the US, plus points to exchange later for hotel discounts and Gold members perks.
Arranged via telephone to purchase AAA for my out of state granddaughter.
Friendly, personalized service.
Excellent service
Went here multiple times while I lived two blocks away. I had many questions about my car insurance, but they wouldnt help me at all, they just told me to call the insurance company, which I had done multiple times before without any progress. Then they told me to go see my agent that had set up my policy who worked 2 hours away. They didnt even pretend to be concerned with me as nobody there was my agent. This location is why I am no longer a AAA member
I have been a member of AAA since the early 1980s and have found them very easy to work with, offer great services and very personable, professional staff. But on Tuesday, when I locked my keys in my car with my purse and phone they went above and beyond! I no sooner hung up (someone let me borrow their phone) and turned around and the person was already there and within 3 minutes I was in my car!!! Wow!!!
Two nights ago my car battery died. Nobody I mean nobody would help me and my pregnant girlfriend out. We were literally stuck for almost 4 hours in the middle of the night. I ask staff at the Crown Plaza, Staff a legacy Emanuel Hospital, staff at the Shilo Inn and two different Broadway Taxi drivers for help. All of them said No to me and my pregnant girlfriend. Then comes Eric (Truck 7) almost out of nowhere to help me. In about 15 seconds he got my battery going again.ERIC IM SO THANKFUL FOR YOUR HELP! GOD BLESS YOU.
This morning I tried to start my car to go to a very important meeting, My car responded with clicking sounds & a flashing dashboard clock! I called AAA. The customer service rep (sorry I didnt catch her name), was very pleasant & helpful (although she did get the year & model of my car wrong for the tech). I received texts, updating me as to the status of my call. Within the hour a very pleasant technician, Kyle (from Northwest Road Service), arrived at my door! After listening to my description of the problem & checking under the hood, he determined my battery terminals were loose & corroded! (This was particularly frustrating because my Jeep had been in for over $800 in repairs last week & the printout I received stated everything was working fine). A quick clean up then tightening & my Jeep was humming along nicely! Kyle stayed for a bit to be sure things were OK. He was very knowledgeable (he even let me watch while he worked...a neighbor came to observe too) & even noticed I had a screw imbedded in one of my tires (which I took care of right away before having to deal with a flat)! I was given a printout that showed the battery readings...very helpful! Thank-you Kyle & AAA. Interestingly I just renewed my AAA membership on the 1st! Money very well spent!
They have always been useful
Got my international drivers license here as well as some travel supplies like a money belt and a mini-sewing kit. Everyone was extremely helpful! There is a parking lot for members so you dont have to park on the street.
They have a employee there names Ellen. And her supervised named Rochelle. Both very unprofessional employees. Rochelle the head manager hung up on me When I decided to lodge a complaint about a call center employee giving me other customers information. Data breach. She mocked me and proceeded to tell me my membership was cancelled . There employees are rude, disengaging, old, and bad customer service. This is what baby boomers working far into there retirement looks like. Sad but true
What crap I moved from California out here they never changed my membership over to a Northwest account. They left it as a California account which cant be because I dont use a California address so I dont really have an account they took my money never transferred my things over never sent me a new card and then when the time was up they cancelled my Triple-A Services premier Services Ive had for the last for 5 years. Not only did they take my money for a year and not provide a service they claim to provide to me thank God I didnt get stuck on the road but now here I am having to pay another start-up fee does to get Triple A again
Norm Burks was great to work with. He saved us $500 a year in home owners & vehicle insurance with more coverage than our lizardly insurance company. He was always very pleasant, professional, and personable. I will recommend him to anyone looking for insurance.
We have been members for years & have had great service with a smile.I also went in to get some maps,Debbie at the front desk was happy and smiling,A+ Debbie was very helpful,Thank you again AAA.One more comment, the drivers that have come out and helped us with our vehiclesalso gets an A+.
I got maps for every state on my road trip. The woman assisting me was super helpful and friendly!
Locked myself out of my car on a cold rainy night. Was there in 30 minutes to help
Great place to get maps and find out about hotel discounts. Staff was very knowledgable on Europe travel. Easy location with parking in the front.
AAA doesnt hire small businesses
Got an international drivers permit in about 30 minutes. Frankly the entire IDP seems like a massive scam, but better safe than sorry.
Long time AAA member and Ive had to use the service a few times. Had a very poor experience and hope that poor reviews here will at least get responded to.My waterpump went out and drove my car to a safe(ish) location and called AAA for a tow. Since I was in Portland, and it was 6pm, I was expecting a bit of a wait but it took 6 calls and over FOUR HOURS before someone showed up.The driver was great (once he finally got to me) but waiting for 4 hours and 20 minutes is absolutely unacceptable level of service.
My tow truck driver Tucker Reda was such a pro! His customer service & job well done earn 5stars for sure. Mr. Reda really made me feel more at ease with his kindness and can do attitude. My car was stuck in the long term airport carpark and I had my 7month infant with me. We rode in the truck with Tucker, it was clean and felt safe.
Excellent customer service. Duh, its AAA.
This review is only based on a single experience but they helped to straighten out some confusion around billing for our membership and then provided me with all the state maps needed for an upcoming road trip. Excellent customer service.
I wish it were possible to put zero stars. I went into the AAA building downtown Portland to ask to pick something up. The man sitting at the desk was incredibly rude and disrespectful to me. I couldnt even finish a sentence without him interrupting me and telling me I had no idea what I was talking about. No one there has a clue of what is going on. I would be embarrassed to work for such a disorganized company.
Just transferred my membership. To purchase discount items over their website.
Got my international license here and it was quick and smooth process
Super fast, friendly service. John was very helpful, got my car up and running.
Went to get my sons passport pictures, they were fast and the picture turned out great
Got my International Driver license here. It took about 15 minutes total, which was way faster that I expected.
Andrew up front is a badass.
We locked our keys in the car. The tech was there in no time at all. Opened our car and we were on our way. Could not have asked for a better outcome. Thank You!!
Called in at for a car break down. They said expected arrival would be 35 minutes. 35 minutes later they called saying there was a delay, I asked how long it would be, and they didnt know. Later I got a text notification saying arriving by 4:09, at 4:18 I called to check status, and they had cancelled my service, no text notification, no call, nothing. I asked why this happened, and they didnt know, I was outside next to my car the whole time for over an hour after the delay. Terrible service, youd think if you pay the yearly fee youd get service when you need it, I guess not in this situation.
AAA was great
My advice would be to use due diligence when choosing a road side assistance company.I was a 20 year member until yesterday, and within the last Year one of their certified repairshops damaged my car, and they did absolutely nothing to rrpair that situation. Then, a few weeks ago, one of their contractors, Crown towing, destroyed my exhaust system. Once again their member services person, B. N., did nothing to resolve or repair the car, bothered and took personal propert from the shop that did the initial repairs to my car besides the exhaust situation, and then blatantly lied about how he obtained my old starter. My starter was never part of the issue. It was why I was towed to begin with. When I demanded its return, he delivered it to my home, and then cicled my block several times, videoing my neighborhood and house. He sent numerous e-mails, texts, and phone calls, often contradicting the issues from one to the other, and I finally had to call and talk with his boss to get my car fixed, for which he took credit for. He did not get the car damage fixed, his boss did.He continued to send unwanted e-mails with empty promises and baseless info, and that along with his stalkerish behavor, made me start to fear for my safety. I am a senior, and live alone. I demanded he stop, or I would involve the police, which everyone aware of the issues had already been advising me to do.2 days later, I received an e-mail from an attorney in lake oswego, demanding I go through them for any further contact with AAA. The next day the same attornney wrote to me again, informing me that my 20 year membership was cancelled, effective immediately. It is obvious this company did not want to be held accountable for their damages to my vehicle, and the previous damage inflicted to my car at Landmark Ford a year ago, has never been repaired or resolved. In my opinion, AAA is not the company it used to be, and they will drop you like a hot potato if you try to hold them or their poorly behaved emplyees and contractors accountable. My advice, Buyer Beware. Update: Since posting this review, the vice president of the Portland AAA office contacted me, and informed me he would be sending me a check, but did not specify an amount. I have since recieved that check, and it virtually reimbursed me for my entire membership period. I was shocked to say the least, and felt that it was only fair to publish this recent adjustment, however I have left the original description temporarily published, for continuity. I have adjusted my star rating, and will remove this posting after the check clears, and a two week period has passed.
A wonderful company to deal with
Kevin is a master in his field, never disappointed!
Always carry AAA card. Worth the price. Lots of discounts!
Fast service and free parking! How cool is that!?!?
Very helpful and fast.
As a AAA member I received passport photos for only $5.00!

Rude
Best auto club still ... Member over 30 years ... mBs. ...
AAA has amazing service.
These people are great!
They were very helpful.
If you are coming here for an international drivers license be sure to bring your own passport photo because the price they charge you to take one there is outrageous.
Fire Ellen and Rochelle. AAA is horrible with those 2.
Get car off the road
Always there to save the day!
