So I was just recently in the store and mind you this wasnt the first time Ive been there but I was pleasantly surprised at how fast everything moved firing this Christmas rush. The people who work there are insanely awesome and so welcoming. I would suggest that if youre purchasing something for a loved one as a gift or even for yourself I would look here first. They have the best prices and they only put the best of merchandise on their shelves. Youre not going to walk out with a faulty computer or television. I love that theyre always willing to work with you on pricing and you dont have to feel like youre being taken advantage of. The one last thing I want to add is that this is the only place in Portland I feel comfortable pawning/loaning my stuff at. I know that if I decide to come back its going to be just as I left it.

The only way I would’ve caught this issue is if I would’ve spent 30 minutes in your store watching a movie or letting it run for 30 minutes.Today marks day 36 of purchaseI contacted contacted you within the 30 days and informed you that this item was not working properly so instead of being an owner and informing me that you guys have a 30 day moneyback guarantee and to bring it back in you put me on the back burner and told me that you get back to me and see what you can do knowing that my 30 days was soon to past and that obviously you would hold off until then speaking with you on day 35 you were refusing to refund itAnd you offered to splite the price of a projector bulb with me. And I am formed you that I am not a projector technician and it is not the bulb that is out it showing a temperature light nor would I be willing to put money into this item after listening to our conversation yesterday to me I feel that you guys knew this project or had an issue it otherwise.And so if I lived closer to you guys I would’ve just drove back in and brought it back but instead of driving two hours not knowing that you guys would do something or not I called ahead of time to see what the options were and you danced around the situation and said you get back to me out waiting for 30 days.I just feel you are a scam artist and reading your reviews shows that this is not the first time you’ve done this.....We’ve been in contact since the 23rd that was within my 30 days... if it was me. today marks day 36I would refund my customer and apologize.

This store is a monument to my opulence. Out of all the places for most all this region, this is my favorite place to up my game. The staff was so great to work with! I had scrap gold to sell, and they were so professional and efficient. They gave me a very fair price and I was in and out quickly and on to the rest of my day. Im so glad I found them because all that glitters, usa pawn and any of the others I have been to try to dam near rob me by trying to give me like 1/4 or less what theyd sell it for even though its a loan and then charge me thru the roof on interest where as at silver lining they ask me what I need and if they cant do the exact amount the come dam close. I saw a beautiful yellow gold diamond ring at Silver Lining Jewelry, but I like the white gold, so I asked Kay if they can do a custom-made white gold ring for me since I already had a diamond. I bought the diamond at their store in Gresham. Kay made a phone call and ordered the ring mounting for me right away. She was honest and straightforward. She explained everything to me how much it gonna cost. She told me it would take about 2 weeks, but to my surprise, she called me 3 days later and told me the ring was ready. The ring looks stunning. It was exactly what I wanted. I wished I could post a picture here. This is the second time I visited their store. On my first visit, I did not make any purchase, but Kay and Sandy were helpful and patient. They showed me all the pieces of jewelry I wanted to see and answered all my questions. Just an awesome experience! I just had all my gold jewelry stolen out of my house. When I went into the store today, Kay had remembered my friend calling and Kay telling her about this one, 22 chain she thought I might like. She found the chain. I bought it. No hassles. My husband and I have been selling stuff to them for a long time now, and they always give us the most money for our stuff. I got 200$ for my computer (loan) when the most any other place would give me is like 60-70$ (total insult for such a nice machine). And most pawn shop employees, in my experience, give you a not so nice feeling. Here it felt like dealing with a normal, down to earth person who was not out to just make a large profit on our stuff. I felt like they really wanted both parties to walk away happy. Also, when I have pawned stuff, they have gone WAY out of their for me. I was late making a payment, and called about a week after it was due to BEG them to let me still extend the pay back date. They were totally cool with this - EVEN KNOW IT WAS PAST MY DUE DATE, AND SOMEONE EVEN PUT MONEY DOWN ON THE ITEM. What pawn shop would do that?!?! Seriously! They could have made more money just selling it. We are, and forever will be, Silver Lining customers. They are truly awesome, down to earth people who look out for their customers. Never been to a pawn shop like this one. Ever.

Well I usually dont use a pawn shop. However I walked into Silver Lining Pawn the new location 300 SE 181st Ave Gresham, Or. I had an item that wasnt real high on the Stores list of favorable pawn items. So the gentlemen who assisted me was very professional. He did not make me feel stupid nor did he come across rude. He was very courteous, explained his and the stores position. He even said he would help out and loan a small loan. I was not happy with the offer. I asked for just a little help. He helped me with $5 more. Which may not sound like a lot. It meant the difference in a couple more gallons of gas. I will be more than happy to refer all my family, friends, co workers and clients to Silverling Pawn. Now I know the meaning of their name. Very Clean place too!

This was my third visit to Silver Linings and I wasnt disappointed. I took my Mom in to get a couple of ring fillers. They inserted them and didnt charge her for the fillers or the service. I asked about getting a couple of my rings cut off and the clerk was able to remove one and have someone cut the other one off. They didnt charge me either. There was no pressure to buy and a wide variety of beautiful jewelry at all price levels. I bought a new ring that I love and left the one he removed to be fitted for another finger. This is the only jewelry store I will be shopping at or going to for repairs. I highly recommend it for both.

I was introduced to the Silver Lining Jewelry & Loan, after a house fire wiped out my jewelry, and collection of electronics. That was 10 years ago, (in November), and Im sure Ive replaced my lost jewelry, at least, 10 times over! I LOVE THE SILVER LINING! They have items that are basic, and things that the most eccentric person would drool over, (oh wait, thats me, which I am referring to!). They pride themselves on having a diverse collection, no two items are the same. Very, individualistic, for the, individualist.As I had finished my jewelry hunting, for the day, as I was walking out the door, the most beautiful pair of Harley D; Black, Studded, Leather Pants, and matching belt, started a staring match with me. We went round, and round, and as my eyes started to tear up; well,..thats when things became physical. Ill spare, the gruesome details, of what happened next, but Ill say this. When we left, they were, (happily), strapped snug, around my waist, thighs, and yes, my buttocks; and my hands were feeling out its pockets, with money to spare.As long as theres a Silver Lining, Ill believe in heaven!

We got wedding/engagement rings that (although they are a little more conventional than we were hoping for) are really beautiful, comfortable, and would have been way way way out of our budget at a retail shop. Way more sparkle than I EVER thought Id wear.They resized and polished within a day. Im super happy with my experience and the deals we got. I live right next door to the store and have been shopping there for over a year now. DVDs are only 2 bucks, cheaper than most rental stores! I bought a PS3 with a controller and two games for $150, cheaper than anywhere else I could find by a mile. I also bought my girlfriend a pair of diamond earrings for an extremely reasonable price. Every time the staff has been pleasant and have even helped me out occasionally with a discount. Great shop, Ill be coming back as long as Im in Portland.

They also musical instruments and collectibles and guns and other weapons among many other items. They are by far and away the best in their field in the greater Portland, OR area. I have visited most of the local pawnshops and by experience can tell you this place rates a 10 on a scale of 10 tops. I have bought many items for family and have referred by son and son-in-law to them for purchases they desired including a 1.5+ diamond for an engagement ring for my son that was great quality at an excellent price. They have a great amount of variety and stock changes often and you will not go wrong with a purchase from them if you can find what you want when you want it. Ive had stones reset in two rings at Silver Lining; once in 2009 and again last week. Both times I worked with Kay, and both rings required some design work. Love this place. Took my old broken gold chains in and was able to buy a diamond necklace and have cash left. First learned of them on AM Northwest and it seemed so easy. They are super nice and helpful. Love doing business with them.

I came here to pawn two of my keyboards for some temporary cash a while back. When I went to pick them up, they would only gave one back to me. When I addressed it, the person at the counter said, it should have been shown on your slip, and because it wasnt documented on their end, they would not assist me any further. I dont know if it happens often, but it happened to me. Please, double check your receipts when you come here to pawn.

This place is awesome! I called looking for a particular item and wasnt able to run right over to look. Great place. If you notice, the same people have worked there for a long time...its like a family in there. Great place to buy DVDs and Electronics. My Father found an awesome Guitar, and if you need a loan, you cant find a better pawn shop to go to. Check them out for sure!!

For the last six months on a regular basis I have been coming into Silver Lining for loans. Specifically on my laptop computer. Every interaction in the past was always great. The staff was always friendly, courteous and timely. I am only paid once a month. Basically a fixed income. Every few weeks I would come in, with the same laptop, and get a loan. Enough to get me through until payday. And every few weeks, without fail, I came in an retrieved my product. The loans they gave me helped keep me fed and a little spending money in my pocket and I was always grateful for the help they gave me. Ive had probably 10 or more loans on this item, its always been fast, easy, and a little payday I could depend on to get me through. Today was different.The gentleman that helped me this morning declined my loan due to a missing key. A key that has been missing for the last 4 months. For some reason, today was the day they decided to follow rules that I had no knowledge of. Had I known this would be a problem, I would have fixed it, 4 months ago. The gentleman helping me basically stated that he couldnt help me because of this missing key. After I pointed out how many times I have brought it in and how many times I have consistently returned for the item, and always on time he simply said yes I can see that you have been a been a great repeat customer but Im sorry to say that I cannot help you. Even though I only needed the loan for 8 days with my payday next week, something that would be would also reflected on my loan history.I understand the importance of rules. Perhaps this should matter should have been brought up 4 months ago when the key was broken, or sometime during the last 5-6 loans Ive had on the same item from them, key broken and all.After calling and asking to speak with a supervisor so I could let him know my...displeasure..I was told their wasnt one available. I recognized the mans voice as the person who declined my loan just minutes before. I did not let him know that I recognized him. I asked him to pull up my history to see how consistent my business has been with them, every few weeks I come in and get a loan and without fail, I always return for my item. Always on time, usually before the due date. Several of these loans have sometime been for a week or less. This gentleman then claimed to know who I was, what had taken place, and that the man helping me was the owner. Even though he couldnt look up my account at that moment because he was busy. This confirmed to me that the man I was speaking to was the same man who declined my loan. That, or hes psychic, as all other representatives were assisting other customers during my attempt to get another loan. My best guess is that he was the owners son. Not a complete fabrication of the truth I suppose. After telling him they have lost a good customer over this his attitude, was that it doesnt matter, we have rules, you are one customer. We can handle losing one customer.Long story short, I understand why rules are important. So if anything, they need to re-train their staff, since Ive had 5 loans on the item with the key missing. Thats at least 5 times their staff has failed to follow correct protocol. Might be time for a staff training meeting. Its also unfortunate that they do not mind losing good customers, its just one customer, right?Well sir, everyone I have had interactions with at this establishment has always been friendly, courteous, and genuinely concerned about providing the best customer service possible. Except that one guy. Well, that one guy just lost your business this one customer.

My Significant Other loves this place. She usually buys jewelry, but sometimes will find furniture or an antique clock she loves. The people are friendly and helpful, the quality superb, but to me its prices that keep me coming back.

We went to Silver Linings in June 2015 and bought wedding rings. Great experience then so we went back today, 3/21/16. We went in shopping for a new ring for myself and ended up trading in my wifess wedding ring for one she had admired before. They gave us the full cost of the first ring toward the new one. We worked with Kay who was very knowledgable, very helpful, not pushy and all around very pleasant to work with. It is like walking into a jewelry store instead of a pawn shop and they have beautiful jewelry to chose from. Highly recommend you take a look.
