I have used Portsmouth Autobody many times over the years and have always been very happy with their results. However, I did not have the same experience this time. Our car needed a new windshield and a good buffing to get out some scratches. A very easy and straight forward job. The car sat at the shop for two weeks and they didn’t do anything with it. They didn’t reach out for me to sign a work order, nothing. So with my insurance company’s blessing, I picked up the car and went elsewhere. The new place is getting it done in under a week.

Timely detailed ongoing communication (verbal and written) throughout the entire project. Very personable and professional. Rental car arrangements were seamless. Final result is awesome. The car looks like new.

They did an excellent job with all the damage. I was very impressed to find they also cleaned the interior and it looks like a new car. It did take a long time to finish the repairs and I ended up going over my rental allotment, but they kept me up to date along the way. I have one problem that appears electrical which I will call and discuss.

Disgraceful. We had used them for many years but they’ve become avaricious crooks. They replaced the rear bumper on our Lexus 350- we had been rear ended. Subsequently the seam between the body and the bumper became misaligned. They examined it, took photographs, examined it again. They now claim the bumper must have been hit subsequently. There is no evidence of damage on the bumper- not even a scratch. Obviously they had been sloppy in the original repair.

Super easy to communicate with! I loved getting the text updates and being able to text back while busy at work and unable to make a full phone call. This feature was super convenient. The car looks amazing and better than it did before the dent because of the great paint job! Highly recommend!

Car was brought in for body work following minor accident. Response to request for service was quick. They got appraisal and quote done within a day. They handled insurance communications. I was given an estimated completion date based on acquiring parts and executing work. The car was ready several days early. The work looked great and paint match was perfect. They arranged rental car. Office staff was thorough and very polite and helpful.

The body work done to my car was superb. It came back looking brand new. They detailed it as well and did a fabulous job. The team consistently kept me abreast of the status and also handled all aspects with the insurance company. The entire staff were all very nice and professional! Overall good experience, they didn’t put my clear door edge protectors back on (not a big deal but would of been nice). They repaired two chips on my driver side doors, paint is ok, you can definitely tell it’s not like the rest of the truck which was upsetting but I figured it’s be more of a pain to go back to them. Newly painted door has chips on the bottom when I got it back; again will be more of a pain to hassle with them so I figured it’ll have to do. Got an extra charge for a detail I wanted which came out good.

Had an accident with a SUV that was new and only had 7,500 miles. Portsmouth Auto Body was great! Their process and communications were professional, clear and easy to understand. They kept us up to speed on the status throughout the repair. The car was returned to manufacture’s specifications and in this instance, was even brought to a dealership so the work could be certified. New car came back feeling and looking new again! I have nothing but kind words for Portsmouth Auto Body. When a neighbor hit my car on my property, the car was brought here for repairs. During the whole ordeal, Portsmouth Auto Body kept us up to date on the repairs and gave me a choice of parts to use.While it took three weeks to get the car back (no fault of this place), I was so happy with the result. My car looks as good as new. It runs like a dream. They cleaned the interior, even moving a small collection of shells and rocks I had collected from the beach, from the cup holder to the middle arm rest compartment (its the small, thoughtful touches that mean the most!)Overall, I cannot say enough about their service. Michelle, Marty, Elizabeth, theyre all great people. If I ever need to get repairs in the future, I would go back there.

Repairs were excellent. Communications could use some work. Instead of answering a query about when the work will be be completed with we had to order an additional part, try adjusting the estimated completion date. Also, FYI, I received some text messages 5-6 days after they were sent.

I was recommended to Portsmouth auto body from my dealership after getting into a pretty significant accident. My experience there was nothing but phenomenal. Michelle kept me in the loop about my car the entire time with emails detailing the process. This was my first time getting into a major accident and although it was scary the process was very smooth. Enterprise met me here because my car was deemed non-drivable. The work that was done was efficient and well executed.

Amazing job on my car after bad and damaging collision. My 2018 Corolla looked good as brand new after they worked on it for a couple weeks. Couldn’t recommend them more for anyone who’s gotten in a collision and needs to repair!

Someone hit my MKX and my trunk wouldnt open. They were recommended by USAA and after research I felt they were a good fit. I dropped my car off 02NOV20 and had my car back 13NOV20 (pretty quick to me). Everything was a breeze and they communicated every step of the way.

I was in my first accident last year and Portsmouth Auto Body made the process for getting my repairs done super easy and explained everything along the way and worked seamlessly with my insurance. The work was done in a timely fashion, they called enterprise to come pick me up when I dropped off, and my car was cleaned than I left it because they detailed. Will definitely go back to them if I need work done (not that anyone wants to get into an accident but you get what I mean)

Everything is well! There was a bulb out in the replacement headlight that was fixed very quickly when I made an appointment and dropped it off-it took about a 1/2 hour. I would definitely recommend your shop to everyone!

Someone backed into my car and left a big old dent so I was brought here by their insurance. NEVER AGAIN. When I picked up my car the whole screen inside my car was scratched. They said they had no reason to be inside my car.. well the car was clearly wiped down inside so its pretty obvious the detailer made a mistake and scratched it. But nope, they wont take fault. I was so irritated I didnt bother to check the rest of my car. When I got home I noticed the whole other side of my car is scratched up and theres a big dig on the back of my car that were not there when we did the walk around. The worst part is I was warned about bringing my car here. Thanks guys, Ill be sure to pass the word along.

Had car fixed here after a minor accident. They scratched the entire inside of the dashboard, scratched my backup camera screen, then completely denied any responsibility. Take your vehicle to a reputable mechanic, these people are garbage.

PAB recently completed an accident repair on my F150. The workmanship was excellent and I would definitely use this facility should the need arise in the future.

My leased 2018 Nissian Rouge was rear ended in a minor crash that required the bumper to be replaced and painted. The car had to be left for a few days. The staff at Portsmouth Auto body Center couldn’t have been more professional from start to finish. A rental was prearranged and available when the my was dropped off as promised. The job was completed on a timely manner in only 3-4 days when I assumed it would be over a week. I paid $25 for the Car to get a premium detail after the work. Which was a bargain. The job was completed and all I can say is “WOW”. The paint, the bumper, all seamlessly perfect. Just like off the show room floor. Very impressed with the work. I would recommend this Shop to anyone.

Contracted with this shop due to a referral from Seacoast Mazda for repairs to the doors of a Mazda Cx5. Excruciatingly painful experience to eventually have the vehicle repaired correctly and completely. RETURNED THREE TIMES to the shop for missing trim, loose door panels, paint drips, . Sloppy, amateur, incompetent and poor quality. Customer service is lacking and do not return calls or follow up. Please save yourself time and aggravation. Stay away.

I recently had some body work done only car at Portsmouth Auto Body Center. They were very easy to work with, did a fabulous job, and always kept me up-to-date on the progress. You cannot see where the damage occurred. The detailing job they did was super. My car looks brand new! I highly recommend them.

I needed work done after a minor accident. They failed to contact me to ask if I wanted to continue repairs after discovering additional damage. They just waited and did the repairs regardless of the additional time. A two day repair took two weeks. I also found out the business is not connected to Ford, who I went through to do the repairs. They called on a Friday at 4 pm to pick the vehicle up. I couldnt go that night but knew Ford is open on Saturdays until 6 pm. I showed up, dropped my rental off, and was stuck. I had tot rent a car of pocket until Monday. This is after I called them saying I needed the car before Monday because I was deploying. Im incredibly disappointed by their failure to communicate a reasonable timeline and I shouldnt be stressing over the potential of an inpounded car while Im gone for three months.

I live 16 hours away from this auto body shop and unfortunately was in a car accident in NH, it was stressful having my car so far away, BUT the work that was done on my car was exceptional! It looked brand new & they even detailed my car! I highly recommend this shop if you are in the area!! (its been over a month since I got my car back and not a single issue!!!)

Had my rear tailgate and bumper replaced. Good paint job and service. They even detailed the inside when they were done.

Brought my Porsche SUV in for some paint work. Took about a week. Got it back and they forgot to paint the rocker panel, didnt attach the trim on my windshield correctly (Flew off on highway), either broke or didnt connect the windshield washer fluid hose on my front bumper cover that they had to remove (so whenever I fill up the washer fluid it pours out of underneath my front bumper.), and didnt attach my front headlight correctly to where it almost fell out while I was driving. The paint work was ok, few blemishes. I did call and was given some touch up paint for the rocker panel and was told they would replace the trim. However they never called me back about the trim, hence my review.

I cant say enough good things about Portsmouth Autobody! I was in a car accident and my whole front end was crushed in. Not only did they put my car back together like new but they kept me updated daily on its status and they were done earlier than the original estimate had suggested! They detailed the whole car for me and made me feel completely safe about getting back into my car post accident! Thank you!

Great service, pleasant people, Mary Ellen kept me updated every day what level my car was in. In the end my car was cleaned, inside and out. The job on the crash site was excellent. You want your car done well I do recommend them.

Excellent service and communication. They have an automated update visa text that told me what repair stage the car was in. That really cut down on having to make additional calls after an accident I had. The paint marching was perfect. I did not see any difference and they did an amazing job fixing and blending paint to match the undamaged area.They also detailed my car including the inside which was a very nice touch. It smelled new and looked spotless! I highly recommend this place for any repairs. I was blown away with the overall experience. It helps a lot when youre already dealing with the insurance, doctors and the last thing you want to worry is how the car will come out in the end.

We have used them in the past were great.we used them recently horrible.they said car was ready got there all shiny washed backed in.we asked if we could go look at it after the lady in front of us was displeased with her fix.we looked it over missing bolts under the hood, dust marks in paint,got the manager and shop foreman they said well it hasnt had final inspection.hmmmm why is it all washed tires shining ready to go.well they kept it gave us a rental finished it.well its not the way it was.gave them one star because I got the car back

Poor job done on first attempt to paint bumper. Clearly able to see primer underneath in sun. Shop was quick go offer on Friday to have fixed and completed by Monday but still currently waiting to receive delivery. After speaking with again should be complete by Tuesday. Shop seems to have grown to big and lost the customer first attitude that Ive heard about in past. I would have a hard time Ever recommending this shop even if second attempt is flawless. If I didnt physically look I would of drove off with poor quality work that seemed to cut corners. Makes me wonder how many elderly and naive have been taken advantage of.A Depressed Customer..

It came out fantastic, and in a timely manner.

Vehicle interior coated in sanding dust. Carpet floor mats dirty from workers grimy shoes. Empty pop bottle left under front seat. Side airbag rendered inoperative during repairs. Interior window molding/trim broken during repairs. Wrong replacement part ordered delaying repair to broken widow molding/trim. The actual body repair and paint appears okay but in light of all the other issues requiring many additional appointments and trips back, I highly recommend a different body shop.

I was told the repairs would take 2 days. I did not receive my vehicle until 11 days later. There was absolutely no communication from Portsmouth Auto Body. I had to call them several times, and was always told it would be ready the next day. When I picked it up the lady at the service counter said paint takes a while. My husband said they should already know how long it takes. She threw up her hands and said You customers are so unreasonable! and walked out on us. No apology for the wait, no explanation, no communication. I am a patient person. If they just gave an explanation or told us it would be 11 days that would have been fine. Instead they strung me along day after day with empty promises. The only redeeming point is that my husband basically told them to give us the interior detailing for free. Still doesnt make up for 11 days of rental car payments. If all your customers are so unreasonable, maybe the problem isnt the customer but how you handle your business.

They did a superb paint repair on my pickup truck and the quality of the bodywork was excellent and nobody would ever know it was repaired and painted. Thanks for doing the job right!

Terrible, incompetent. Legitimately put my car back together with zip ties because they lost all my parts, and they left all the old parts In my back seat. Parts flew off on the highway, had to bring it back 4 times they had my car for 31 days.My real name is Paul Roy.

Had some repairs done on my vehicle. The paperwork claimed a week for repairs, but when the week was up, no contact from the shop. I ended up calling them that day anyway to check on progress and the receptionist said it was just then getting cleaned out and would be ready for pickup shortly. The customer service could be worked on as well as communication, but the vehicle was returned with a wash and vacuum to it.
