We have been searching for a reliable, honest mechanic for some time. Have done the backyard mechanics, dealer shops, and other shops. Our truck was running poorly, so we were on a search for a mechanic. Thankfully, we found Do It Right Automotive. Bill got our truck right in, called us with what was wrong (fuel pump)....we got the call that afternoon saying the truck was fixed! At a more than reasonable cost! We will be back for sure....we have found our mechanic.

Rob Holton - Fraud Alert. Sadly, our estranged son-in-law again sacrifices his credibility, this time by posting a negative review of Bills business - even though Rob has never utilized Do-It-Rite auto repair. Robs 1-star review posted just days after Bill had the courage to stand up against inappropriate actions by one of Robs friends. Our family is ashamed to see him falsely attack someones livelihood to apparently advance a personal grudge. How ironic that Rob criticized Bills professionalism.Conversely, my wife and I have had Bill work on several of our vehicles and have consistently received highly professional service at very favorable prices. Took car in because it was going through way too much oil. They did do some work that needed to be done, but never fixed the oil problem, like the said they did. $469 later, its still going through way too much oil. Ill take it back there to see what the say about it, and will give an updated review if they make it right, but for now I dont recommend them.

I like that it is just down the street. I like that if I drop off my rig for the day they will get it done. I like that they are fair and honest. I have been in service for a long time. You dont always get it the first time. Sometimes the problem will not show itself. These guys do a pretty dang job getting to the bottom of issues and doing what is asked.

My car was not starting the code that an auto part store said it was would have costed thousands of dollars. He found it was not a big problem and repaired it for a couple of hundred (2) and could of taken me for the other amount. I will return.

Bill is the ONLY mechanic in town I trust with my SUV. Mieneke broke some stuff while on a rack and did their best to confuse me so Id cough up $1500. Bill only charged me $300. Do It Rite is the best, those giving bad reviews need to stop and think before you blast DIR. I wont let anyone else touch my Rodeo but them.

DONT GO HERE. Customer service was okay, but I cant stress enough how this place put me hundreds of dollars into the ground. I came to do it rite to do two simple things, replace my tire rod ends and my brakes. They fixed my breaks, but broke my sensor (so all my lights on my dash light up everytime I get in my car and it beeps loudly) Replaced my tire rod ends, but didnt tighten them. Now you can imagine the frustration that I was left with. This was just after I replaced all my tires, come to find out I had to replace them AGAIN and couldve suffered a serious accident due to the fact my tire rod ends almost came off my car. Are you kidding me? What good does a bad review...Ive tried to call to let the owner know of what is happening in his shop, and have not been answered a single time. This place looks good, had good reviews...dont make the same mistake I did

Bill was the only mechanic in town who would put in a lower thermostat in my 1991 Pontiac Grand Am than manufacturer recommendation. I only wanted 10 degrees cooler so it would stop boiling over in 80 degree weather at a stop light. Everything was functioning--its just a small engine with a small fan that couldnt cool the engine fast enough once the standard thermostat would kick it on. He put it in, and my car hasnt overheated since, and I can put cardboard behind the grill in the winter so it doesnt run too cold.As a chick, its so important to find a mechanic who will listen to me! Bill is the only person me, my mom, and my sister will take our rigs to, and we recommend him highly!Most of the work I know how to do myself, but aint nobody got time for that! LolDiagnostics are free, which is super awesome because I can get a quote, save up for the maintenance, and come back 5 months later to the same quote that hell honor. Ive yet to have him recommend something that didnt need fixed (my cars a jalopy, and I know it, and he knows it LOL). He also never does something without my permission. Like last time, I took it in for a tranny flush (my trannys on its last leg and needs a flush once a year to keep it from dying). I asked him to let me know if he spots anything major, so he called with a small list of things I was already aware of, including that my valve cover gasket is leaking like mad. He listened to me when I said no, thatll come later (I top off my oil regularly and clean my spark plugs myself every 6 months to limp it along). He gave me a quote I can save up for when a lot of mechanics have brushed me off, or done the work without asking or after Ive said no, then want to charge me for it. (Seriously, men, its hard to find a mechanic who will listen to a woman just walking in.)Sometimes an issue can be complicated, and one trip doesnt solve the problem. Bill is very integrous about being persistent, finding the issue behind the issue, and charging fairly. He lets you bring your own parts (so if you want racecar spark plug wires, blue shocks, etc.), and he discounts accordingly.Ive been going to him exclusively for years--he makes my old beater affordable where other places would take advantage of every little thing or completely brush me off.10/10 would recommendPS: Body by Scotty will give you a discount on your tow if you have them take your car to Do It Rite! #StarterDied

At the time, I was a single mother raising two children just bought a car my car just suddenly quit running had it towed to their place and I was told my car was beyond repairable... So he offered to have me sign the title so he could tow it and have it wrecked for me... What a liar... I saw my car on the street many times in Post Falls area in fact I confronted him about it... he is a thief he has been reported to the BBB and the police please do not trust this person at all
