They sell you a used bike which is usually donated, then is basically the starting point of your new project bike. Some of the bikes need major tunning other not, depending on its condition. They are very honest and helpful, great staff, the price is very good. This is a place to fix your bike they rent you a spot and tools, this is not a place to get fancy bikes. But definitely you can build and repair any bike here. Im a mechanical bug, I loved the place.

I highly recommend Recycle-A-Bike for anyone looking for help with purchasing a bike or bike information. Chelsea was particularly helpful and was patient and kind! I enjoyed stepping foot and learning about bikes here. They have great programs and classes. I left their shop very pleased.

Providence is so lucky to have a place like Recycle A Bike in the community. I was looking for a mountain bike just to do some light trail riding and didn’t have a ton of money or a desire to buy something new. I stopped in and ended up finding the perfect bike with many years behind it, proving that there’s no reason it can’t last many more. Bob was so nice and a big help with finding something that fit me.

An absolutely wonderful resource to the community! Stopped in and was warmly welcomed with no prior experience working on bikes. Quickly found myself with my sleeves rolled up, engaged in the basics of changing a tire and on to diagnosing and repairing mechanics Ive never even thought to assess! Many thanks to this friendly and helpful bunch! Had a lot of fun and will be looking forward to participating in another open shop.

Went by today to get my tire changed and handle-bar aligned, and the staff were excellent! Douglas and Patrick were so kind and thoughtful, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The staff sincerely wanted to help and I left with my bike working great and more knowledge about how to fix it in the future. I will certainly be returning, thank you!

Since the new pedestrian bridge over I-195 opened, Ive wanted to commute to work by bike. Recycle-A-Bike got me started with an affordable, dependable and comfortable ride. I plan to attend open shops soon to learn how to maintain my new bike and to begin a project restoring a vintage one. The organization is fantastic!

First time there. I apparently stumbled upon a diamond in the rough. Everyone was so helpful, including my fellow patrons. Bob and Patrick went out of their way to instruct, clarify, and help replace the bearings in my crank case (where the pedals are), as well as tune up the brakes and de-railers. It only cost me $22, so I also made a donation to this fantastic non-profit

I went in on a Tuesday evening and (with the help of the very friendly staff) was able to both fix my bike pump and find an obscure bit of hardware. Thanks!
