Im from out of state and have wanted to stop here for years. My interest is in vintage diners, but I had heard the food was very good. I finally got the chance to eat here, and it was amazing. I ordered basic scrambled eggs and bacon with home fries--not the most exciting choice, but they did an amazing job. The food was cooked perfectly: crisp bacon, fluffy eggs and well-seasoned home fries, and the portions were huge. The pricing was reasonable and the staff was friendly--and the lively clientele made for a fun experience. Dont miss the Seaplane Diner if youre in the Providence area.
While traveling I try to find all the hidden gems that I can and I think my wife and I hit it with the Seaplane Diner. We were seated quickly and the food came out even faster. Our server was kind and attentive and the food was the best breakfast wed ever had. The cheese in the omelette was on point and the linguica was delicious. I recommended this place to anyone who loves a good old fashioned American breakfast.
Service was very good. I got the Corned Beef Hash. It was okay but not sure it was made from scratch. My wife had the Eggs Benedict and she said it was excellent. I would do back. Neat little hometown diner

Its a nice place and I get treated good by the employees staff the few times I have visit it.
Used to be really good. Went recently and it was horrible. It takes a lot for me to not eat something. Im pretty sure the home fries were old. I know its not me because my wife and I both spit them out. I dont think Ive ever walked out of a place feeling nausea before. The servers are nice, thats the only reason why I gave 2 stars.
The best clam chowder and clam cakes in the state 😋. The menu is great also i recommend highly, they sell out fast.

An exceptional and authentic American diner experience on the waterfront of Providence Rhode island. The diner car is a real one, and the clientele is a cross section of the city and its surrounded. Regulars are called by their first name by a helpful staff. The food is amazing. The corned beef hash is exceptional, the portions are huge, the pancakes fantastic. Its the kind of place Id spend every Sunday if I didnt have to work and if I lived in Providence. try the seaplane in special, as I did, for three eggs at some of the best hash in the world. And the price! Its a great deal

Been wanting to try this place for years. Finally got the chance to today. This place is excellent and feels historic! I had hit my head on the way in. Lol. The place is really small and personal. Maybe just under 15 tables with a breakfast bar to sit at aswell. The service was personal and felt real hospitable. The food was hot, tasty and great. Not bad pricing either. Definitely one of the best diners around to eat at in RI. The place wasnt that busy when I had went in but Im sure it can get super packed any other times. I will definitely be back to try more.

You can dine inside. The place has set up plastic shields for your protection. Food was good but coffee was excellent. Waitress was friendly and came by many times for fill ups. Price was reasonable.Parking is ample.Its set in a mfg/ buiness zone so you get a lot of guys that are dressed for work. Blue collar type like me.

I settled for the 2-2-2 Breakfast Plate. 2 eggs any style 2 pc Bacon and 2 Sausage plus Home fries and 2pc Toast of your choice. As hungry as I was ? I couldnt finish all this delicious food. The food is DIVINE!! I had the California Omelette & my husband had the 222. They give you big portions of good food. I ate half of my omelette and brought home the rest. The staff is friendly, upbeat, and alert to the diners needs. I will be going there again soon!

So many diners either arent that great, or put a modern (not always favorable) spin on diner food and try and reinvent the wheel. Seaplane Diner is a diner that sticks to the basics and provides them expertly. Over easy eggs and bacon with a side of home fries is made to perfection. Weve seen the specials go by and they look great too. The restaurant is clean, staff is friendly and inviting, and theres parking either in a small lot behind or up and down the street. Best of the best for diner breakfast and lunch.

I stopped here randomly after having stayed in the area for a concert. While having breakfast (which was very good) I discovered a puppy store in the area. Later that afternoon I bought the sweetest golden girl ever
Very quick service. Food was cooked very well. Nothing to crazy in terms of flavor but very well balanced and nicely done. They open early, 5am which is great. I couldnt find much to complain about.
The wait staff is quick to serve, very friendly & the diner is very clean. The Lobster Raviolis have to be the best in Rhode Island & the prices are excellent for all items on the menu. A great experience..

This diner is a hidden gem in plain sight. They have decent variety and all the classics youd expect from your favorite diners. The service is top shelf and fast. Good food. Good time.
Great prompt and respectable service. The diner vibe was pretty cool experience. I ordered the sausage and peppers Italian sandwich, which was decent. Wife had pancakes which were burnt but they replaced the order with delicious muffin for free. Home fries were soggy. Overall experience was nothing to call home about but would be willing to give it another chance next time.
Fairly decent food. Pretty good service. Mostly clean place. Our family had a burger, grilled chicken sandwich, pulled bbq pork, and grilled cheese sandwich. Overall everyone was pleased but not amazed. The building is cool - an old stainless diner with a great retro feel.

First time and definitely last time!Food was good, but the service was awful, our waitress took our order and we never saw her again only when she brought the bill! The young girl who was busing the tables gave us more attention than the waitress. We visited last Saturday the 17th of August around 11 am. Management SERVICE is important, so speak to your waitress!!!!
