What a great little gem we found in R.I. Our breakfast was exceptional and so fresh. The service was amazing. If I remember Chrissy? Was our server. I do remember she had a low tireπ. Everything was so wonderful we even ended our weekend with another breakfast on our way out of town and met the owner. Hope her hands are okππ» If you are ever in the area definitely make a stop YOU WONβT BE DISAPPOINTED π

Food is excellent. Service is wonderful.
I love the service and food! One of my favorites!
Visiting Rhode Island & wanted a decent breakfast we found this Diner which had good reviews. It is very small with tables that cannot accommodate more than four people to a table. If they combined tables it might be hard for the staff to move around. When you enter you have to sign in to be seated. Another customer who was waiting told me this as I waited without being greeted. The waitress was busy cleaning off tables. When she finally made it to the counter she walked around me and took the list. She seemed annoyed that I was asking about the wait time. She was rude as she shrugged her shoulders saying I mean I dont know. Another customer told me that they were finishing up. We would have waited for our names to be called, but because of her attitude I decided I would rather spend my money elsewhere. I was a waitress, so I know how to be welcoming busy or not. Everyone was wearing masks including the cook. He was wearing gloves as well. Another woman who was preparing a plate moved a small ball of butter around on the plate with her hands and then put on gloves. I was just hoping her hands were clean. The customers who were dining looked pleased with their food. Maybe you will get better service.
What an amazing find! Great breakfast and lunch options til close. Great food, reasonably priced. Staff couldnβt be friendlier. What more could you ask for? I look forward to returning.
The food is ok, have a bunch of options. The waitress was a little rude, but still they were helpful.
The food was super average and didnβt match the price point. Most platters didnβt include eggs or toast which I think is foul in itself. Our waitress was a bit of a spazz who gave the impression she was in over her head. If you have no where else to eat then this will suffice but itβs not a place Iβll visit again if I donβt have to
Great little Diner in an area that is full of options. Nothing pretentious about this place. Simple and good.
I have been wanting to come here for years, but my schedule hasnt really aligned with their hours until recently. Four of us came here on a Friday around 12:30 pm for brunch. The food was EXCELLENT! I first ordered the biscuits and gravy, but was told they didnt have any more of either. So, I decided to get a hamburger with cheese, bacon, and an egg fried over hard. This came with all the traditional toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles), and was delicious. I was told the strawberry pancakes were fantastic (the best she ever had). My coffee cabinet was yummy, though I wish the server had left the stainless steel cup the drink was made in so I could drink the whole thing. My 4-star rating is because there appeared to be an ongoing disagreement between one of the servers and one of the cooks. However, the other server said it was free entertainment, so we just went along with it. However, this one time wont discourage me from coming here again. The food was great, and one so-so visit wont turn me away. Come here and get some great traditional diner food!
First time trying this cozy little old school diner. Fast friendly service and bottomless cup of hot coffee freshened up frequently. Food came out quickly, fresh and hot! We had breakfast and definitely will return.
Super cute place with a good choice of food! Highly recommend for breakfast if youβre in the area
Went there with my wife for a late breakfast, both our choices were excellent, beautiful day, great food, great staff. Please help out our struggling small businessβWill be going back again
The staff wasnt very friendly, I know it was busy, but its important to take the time to greet customers, ask how things were, and not just drop stuff on the table and run away. I know it wasnt our of rudeness that they did this, they were just busy, but it isnt very pleasant. It looks like you need a couple extra people on for serving in the morning on Sundays.Services aside, the food was pretty good. It wasnt the best Ive had, but it was good.
Love this place! Nice little treasure reminiscent of the popular 50s diners. Food was scrumptious! Server was Richard, who was very knowledgeable of menu, gave me suggestions for my lunch, very friendly and full of smiles! Highly recommend this place!
Pretty good spot. Places like these are hard to find in the city. Good food and still managed to keep their prices reasonable. Servers were very friendly and very attentive. Great alt to some of the more expensive brunch places around. Parking on the street is usually not too hard to find
Everything you could ever want in a diner - the house potatoes are perfectly seasoned, and the eggs Benedict was on point.
Itβs okay. Service was good. French toast was good but a bit expensive. $2.25 for a slice of cheese? π probably wonβt go back.
Best Dinner on the east side. A must it your hungry. Staff is great and owners very accompanying
Lovely little diner. Service was great. Food was tasty and generous. Had a great brunch! Would definitely come back again!
Sunny bright location. Great service. Way undercooked eggs. And didnt appreciate cook yelling at server in a hostile manner. Will never go back.
A classic diner experience. food is always great! The staff is super helpful and friendly. Great for lunch and breakfast. Fantastic corned beef hash omelet!
I eat here pretty much once a week, every week. It is amazing! The food is good, and well-priced. The staff are friendly. It is heaving during the weekends, so there might be a 5 minute wait or so, and the servers will be busy, but it is still a top notch place in Providence!
Tried this place as an alternative to the crowded breakfast spots on the East Side... Quaint decor, the service was prompt. We sat right down at 10:30 on a Saturday morning. Food was great, Ill be back!
Great food. Small, but reasonable considering they are in Wayland Square. Good service and the specials are always a good thing to consider.
Typical diner fare. Great customer service, but the food isnt going to blow you away. Will hit the spot if youre hungry.
This place was better when it was Spoons. The steak for my steak and eggs is not the quality it was 10 years ago. Once you would get a nice decent piece of sirloin where you could actually tell how it was cooked when you cut into it, because it was thick enough that you actually had to cut. Now its a flat, thin, pressed flank steak posing as a Delmonico, that can be cut with your fork.Wow. Im old enough to do a back in my day story.
Friendly service and delicious breakfast!
Great old fashion diner. Recently changed ownership after many years in one familys hands. Eggs are great.
Fantastic food and very fast service. Would highly recommend. Friendly staff as well.
Adorable diner! If youre looking for a traditional breakfast, this is your place! They have outdoor seating thats dog friendly, but they dont have a lot of seating for big parties. Their breakfast specials were well portioned and had a varriety of delicious combinations.
BEST POTATO SALAD IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! Its sweet, its tangy, its sour, its savory, I dont know how they do it!Speedy service, friendly folks.
Nicely seasoned home fries. Lots of fun daily specials (both breakfast and lunch style). Most of them fill you the hell up. Bottomless coffee if you can squeeze it in.
Great breakfast place! Basically anything breakfast you can think of. Price is decent. Not to much seating though, but we were able to be seated instantly when we went on a weekday morning.
Best scrambled eggs in town, also try the french toast. If you like plain old french toast like mom made -it wont disappoint. Coffee is good enough, but you can always bring your own if you prefer Starbucks.
Decent food and environment but poor service every time.
Fast, delicious, super mellow place, and the coffee never ends. Perfect diner meal experience.
Always happy to go to the diner! One of my favorite places on Wayland Square
Officially the best hollandaise sauce Ive ever had in my life. And the french toast was delicious too!
Beautiful little dinner. Great staff, delicious avacado scramble. Definitely will go back to try other foods.
Love it, perhaps my favorite no-frills neighborhood diner in the Providence. Dot is the best!
Awesome breakfast! I had blueberry pancakes & hash brown potatoes. my husband had the hungry man special (3 eggs any style, sausage, bacon, hash brown potatoes and toast) and my aunt had the French toast. We like it so much were going back tomorrow for breakfast before we go home!
Great diner! All the classic diner dishes. Have been many times. Never gotten a disappointing meal.
One of the best places to get breakfast. Everything is fresh hand, made and the service is quick and friendly. Belgian waffles are to die for. If you are in Providence, make this your stop for breakfast.
Super friendly staff! Cute spot! Great veggie delight sandwich.
Good service and a solid breakfast. Old school in the best way.
Great strawberry pancakes. Small place for a good hearty breakfast. Too bad the bathroom is downstairs and through the kitchen. Not cool.
This place is so cute!! I have not eaten here but I did go to get a job and that did not go well so this is not a review based on food or service of customers! There was not good energy the day I went so and I was not welcomed well so I will not be going here but that was just my experience!
Great food and staff.
Good food
Overpriced and under staffed. Food was average along with the server. We went based on all the rave reviews and were greatly disappointed.
Best Reuben Ive had in a looooooong time :-)
Well made food in a nice space
Go see Sergio and Vanessa! Amazing food spectacular serviceπ
If I could give no stars I would! Went to order food and was refused. Literally was not allowed to place an order unless I was eating it there! Who refuses $$$ from paying customers???? Totally disappointed in their inability to accommodate
Delicious and prompt; Worth every penny.
Fantastic food, wonderful service very nice people. Definitely going back!!
My favorite diner in Providence! Great Omelettes.
Love their food! Typical diner setting, but the food is always yummy.
Love this place! friendly staff, great food :)
This place is a throwback to the 1960s food was decent, and the staff was very attentive to patrons
Classic breakfast spot. Great food. very clean
Great service. Awesome breakfast sandwich. Nicely done folks.
This is one of our go-to favorite breakfast spots in town. Its a little less known than other breakfast spots which makes for a short wait if there is one at all. The Mexican scrambler is our favorite. Grilled blueberry muffins are incredible but out of stock more than half the time.
Whenever Im in town I try to make it over to the Wayland Square Diner. Back when I lived in Providence and it was called Ruffles I went, probably, once a week. The people are friendly, the food is good, and the atmosphere is relaxed and low key. I cant recommend it enough.
I dont usually like diner food, but this place is an exception to the rule. Great place for breakfast, I go here all the time. The servers and cooks are very kind.
I have never ever wrote a review but I also posted this on Facebook Review for this diner. and honestly I Wouldnβt give even 1 star. Not for food, I honestly never had the food there. Went there for a job application. The owner/cook was so rude. He kept pushing what I did for the weekend. I told him I wasnβt available. Told him that I babysat. He said I would make more money working for him. I declined respectfully. Only wanted to work for the weekdays. He continued. Respectfully declined. He said and I quote, βif you have so much desire for children, why donβt you have them yourselfβ.. with so much attitude. I was completely speechless. I left. Soooo disrespectful. Clearly doesnβt know how to talk to people, and didnβt respect what i had to say. Never met someone so disrespectful.
Great family diner
You cant go wrong here. Specials are always fantastic!
Friendly service, quick and delicious food- will definitely be back!
Very good diner! Only had breakfast but I go a lot and the people are nice!
This place is so cute and delicious π the food is amazing.
The food here is quick and easy to get! I go here with my kids!
Great food. The service was quick and efficient.
Good place to grab grub. No AC, but everyone was okay
Best soups in town! Enjoy a changing menu of soups on cold winter days. Friendly staff.
Regular stop when we come to Providence. Delicious
My grandmother and I waited quite a bit before having ALL of the items we ordered in front of us to eat. By the time my grandmothers toast came she had already finished her MICROWAVED EGGS.... the food is not made fresh its microwaved. Same goes for my French toast that definitely came from a box- they werent even warm I had to ask for them to heat it up.... it was the most horrible DINER EXPERIENCE EVER. Oh and the customer service wasnt even decent.
The omelettes are really outstanding! Fast courteous service too.
A little pricey, but good
If youre getting French toast, definitely go for the Texas toast.
There are a lot of delicious and varied options.
Great staff. Unique high quality clothes. A must visit for any fashionista.
Great food. Amazing service.
Cute little diner with nice portions and reasonable prices.
I love the food!! It was so busy when i went and i still got it fast loved all the workers
Classic diner fare served in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.
(Really a 4.5 rating) Super cheap food the price to taste ratio is amazing. Only took of a half star because I personally didnt like the home fries.
Food is Fresh, made to order, great kind staff that take pride in there work, authentic dinner atmosphere, a ledgendary providence establishment.
At best, this dinner is mediocre. The food is just okay, nothing more. I would certainly choose other restaurants in the neighborhood first.
Quick service, Ok food (pancakes were good, burnt hash browns, omlet was falling apart, weak cofee), Interesting environment...kind of feels like visiting youre crazy but funny family (at one point the chef came out and yelled at the servers about dirty tables).
Good food, kind staff, coffee is meh, but otherwise perfect breakfast spot
Awesome diner the people are very friendly
A nice little breakfast spot with delicious food and friendly service!
They are over priced for not that good food my eggs where wet when i said scrabled well also the staff seemed like they didnt even wanna b there gotta walk thru the kitchen an dodge people an workers its just not very well organised so all an all if ur thinking about haveing a great breakfast i WOULDNT go here try dennys or west side dinner
Favorite diner style breakfast place in Providence! Love the home fries and omelets!
OMG. The Lox Eggs Benedict. Dont ask any questions. Just get it. Amazing.
