Great food, affordable prices. Ice cream is amazing. Has that hometown dinner look and feel to it. Family ran business. The owners of the place are great people. Cant go wrong supporting a local family owned business.

The food was excellent! The wait staff are still wearing masks even though its hot hot hot. We really appreciated them wearing mask even though they have to be uncomfortable.
Really nice restaurant with a real mom and pops shop vibe to it. The waitresses that I had were very polite and helpful. the food was extremely good.
Went for a steak & egg breakfast, none on menu. Was told they can cook up their 8oz ribeye for me with all the breakfast fixings. Eggs & hash browns were very good. Toast was tiny. Sausage gravy, meh. But that ribeye was only 1/8 thick (thin), if that! Very disappointing!

We are from out of town and were looking for somewhere open to eat while our son purchased a motorcycle. We were referred to West Side Diner, so we thought we would try it. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Food was really good. Just loved the diner feel.

JUST ate there on a trip through Iowa back to Missouri. Checked reviews & Trip Advisor. No lie, this place could appear to some sketchy from the outside...but please stop!! Food, atmosphere & our waitress were all great!!
This was such a lovely little place. The wait staff was so sweet and ready to make my experience great. This seems like the favorite place for all the locals, and I can see why it is! The strawberry shake was also delicious with a lot of real strawberry in it!

A classic diner atmosphere upon entering with a TV on lower volume going. When I went it was a seat yourself, could be different if its really busy. The interior was pretty clean, the restroom was actually pleasant which was awesome. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with an extra pattie and a tornado ice cream. Hamburger was nice and juicy without being overly so. I think in this would be a good place to eat for anyone coming to or living in Atlantic.

Garrett is top notch. Great service. Breakfast until 2 pm on Sundays? Ill take that every weekend. Called ahead and was seated as soon as we walked in the door. Biscuits and gravy is fantastic. Eggs cooked perfectly. Great place to grab a bite. Pricing is easy on the wallet too!! Highly recommend!!
Excellent little diner! We drove to Atlantic for the afternoon to visit a few shops and found this after Googling restaurants on Atlantic. My family and I are SO glad we ended up here! Its a clean little place in what appears to be in an old gas station. The service was excellent, as our waitress and ALL of the staff were sure to help - whether it was checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed, to making sure the food was what wed expected, clearing up dirty plates, etc. Everyone was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful! The food was excellent (Id highly recommend the corn nuggets, breaded loin, and battered fries). We were all full after lunch, but were sure to make room for some ice cream. We had an Andes mint tornado and a Twix tornado as well - both were great! We also ordered a piece of cherry pie and a piece of caramel apple pie (both homemade!) to go. Havent had them yet, but Im sure they will not disappoint! Well definitely be back next time we are in town!
We came here on mother’s day just after 1pm after leaving another restaurant that we had walked out because of poor service. They were packed but the friendly staff got us in quickly and our food was served quickly as well! The food was excellent and the portions were great! Thanks Westside for saving our Mother’s Day meal!

Me and my kids went here. We all got our door 10mins apart. As a family we eat together. When I said something to management the responds was well that’s how we do it. So none of us ate because of most of our food being cold. They never offered to take any money off for all the food that we don’t touch. Worst place ever
My 93 year old Mother, born in Atlantic, recommended our having lunch there for the hot roast beef dinner. The half order she had looked huge. I got the Breaded Tenderloin sandwich + needed a second bun to hold all the meat. From an old musical favorite: There is nothing halfway about the Iowaway... Hospitality + service were well aboveboard.

The food there is great I have no complaints with that. The cooks are even generous to make it how you like it, even if its a strange request. What I have issues with is the service. It doesnt seem very organized and you wait ten or more minutes to even get water. I stopped in there for ice cream one day with my family. They got their ice cream but when it came to mine she was more worried about the weather and just walked away and went outside. It was the strangest thing. When she wasnt back and I wanted to get home before the storm hits I just paid for what we received and left not getting my ice cream. Lets just say I was not very happy.

This is single handedly the greatest eating establishment I have ever been too. And that includes the likes of top notch steakhouses across the country, Mexican food in Mexico, The Versace Palace. West Side Diner never disappoints and the staff is amazing. Plus the pie is insane.
Ice Cream..... Its the main draw. Large amounts in various forms for pennies. Typical diner style food. I would recommend the PORK LOIN ON TEXAS TOAST with SEASONED CURLY FRIES. FOLLOWED BY A BANANA SPLIT. Good luck finishing it all.

Super good food! Very reasonably priced, I was surprised for a little diner! I wasnt there to rate the waitress/waiter I was there to enjoy a nice meal with my husband, and thats definitely what we got! I had the chicken sandwich and wow the chicken just melted in my mouth it was excellent! My husband got the BLT it was superb too! The frys were to die for, very tasty! We were there during a busy hour so we had to wait a little while to get our food, but it was worth it! Want to take my family to West Side Diner and would definitely recommend it to a friend!

Staff was nice but seemed inexperienced. onion rings were good. the chicken sandwich tasted like fish and my banana split was melted. my fathers looked good, and so did my brothers, she made mine first and instead of bringing it out let it sit while she did the others. this goes back to the inexperienced staff. might be an okay place with a more professional waitress.

The restaurant was good originally, however the service and staff has dropped. A month ago I walked in 15 minutes before closing, as there sign says, and they told me that the restaurant was closing, when I left I saw them continue making ice cream for others.Recently, I came in and gave my order for my ice cream, and it took them 20 attempt to make it, when they somehow messed it up and had to start over again. They then spent the next five minutes washing dishes without making more ice cream.The quality of service is terrible now. The staff used to kind and caring, now you walk in and they treat you like you are a second class citizen.
Worst restaurant for service that we (party of four) have been in for decades! Sat eight minutes before getting menus, sat six more minutes without getting the drinks we ordered or seeing the server. Wee were told thru were short staffed! There were only six tables with customers and two servers and a bus boy! How many do you need? One server talked with other guests that were leaving for more than five minutes as they were leaving about going bowling.Got up and left and no-one said a thing. Went across the street to the Family Table Restaurant! It was great, home made pie, real ice cream (not soft serve) and great service!
