I came to Sephora on 4/9/21 in the evening and the store was pretty empty. However, the lady working there was SO NICE! I was dressed like a bum, sweats and sweatshirt, no make up, just looking horrible and she treated me like I was a 5 star guest. She was so informative and so helpful. She is truly an asset to the Sephora at the South Hill Mall. I pray her employer see this and lets her know how well she is doing. Excellent customer service 👏 I was able to purchase what I came there for, and even bought a little extra. Well done! Ill be back because of this experience.
The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The recommend some products that I like and although they didnt have what I went in looking for, I ended buying other things because the customer service was that good. Ill be coming back here instead of buying online like I usually do. Next time Ill catch the two awesome employees names.

Apparently this JCP sephora is not a regular sephora store. Dont you dare try to return regular sephora product with a proper receipt here. I got treated like absolute garbage by the manager, and it was beyond insulting! Such a shame.

I was at the jcpenney fine jewerly dept. Looking at crosses. Was in the store about 710PM, Becky was the sales associate she was doing paper work, but she did go over to the cross case. Found one I like for my sons birthday. It hand a scratch on the cross, Becky called another lead over to see if she vould give me 10% more off, the lead said know, I then ask for her to Tacoma mall, she was worried that they were closing in 25mins, so she said. Know, an they acted like they were doing me a fair. Left my info so that Sherry ciuld decide to give me a extra 10% off to a cross that was damaged. Very bad experience. I told Becky JCP, better watchout b4 all of their stores will be a wrap done and close up.😒😒😒😒

I love this location! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about all things beauty. They arent pushy and understood what I needed and helped me stay in budget. I appreciated their Covid safety measures and will definitely be back again for holiday shopping!
Three stars because they did not have an associate that could help me find the right shade of concealer... Now I have to go back and return it and maybe we can guess again...
They have removed all.of their testers so you cant see any thing at all. This is terrible in a place where you absolutely need to see the color of the makeup you are choosing. I understand not being able to actually test the makeup but you really do need to see it in person, not on a piece of cardboard. For the amount of money that cosmetics cost this is ridiculous. I left and went to Macys where I was able to see everything and purchased several hundred dollars worth of cosmetics. I will not return to sephora again
They still only have a small amount of makeup . It’s a total waste of time to go there. The people are nice, but there’s really not any makeup to choose from.

Made a purchase in the Sephora dept. The ladies didnt greet me as I waited a while for them to acknowledge me even though was NO ONE in line. So, great purchase, but poor service.
Clerk was able to match my skin tone perfectly without testing it on me! Since Covid restrictions are currently in place, I missed out on the usual makeup tutorial. I was hesitant to buy before I could try... But she nailed it. I even got a free gift for being a first time customer, which was a pack containing mascara, blush, and lotion pack sample.

I definitely think these people are pretty awesome! I can go there and get stuff for my wife and its easy. Guys, just grab a recent picture of her and take it in, or her in and get her the free make over, they will give you a list of stuff to grab!

During this covid virus Sephora has offered no services.nothing no curb side pick up ..notta online orders 2-3 weaks delivery time. I was useing Sephora brand but not any more
So, I come here all the time and I recognize most of the employees, and I was even in the process of applying here. I work in retail, and its really obvious when people think youre stealing, because everyone tries to customer service you. I was holding a Vice lipstick which are pretty small and an employee felt they had to point out the lipstick in my hand and give me a basket, so I knew that they knew I had it. I put it back and bought one pair of eyelashes and the cashier was very sassy with me because everyone was saying I was stealing. Ive been there a lot... which is why I was really offended.
Whats not to love?
So disappointed. I miss the store where I used to live. I came here to find a foundation, and not a single employee greeted me. There were at least 4 employees and 2 walked past me multiple times. I waited for 15min to try and get someone to help me match a color. I ended up leaving with nothing. All the other locations I have been the employees at least say hello, even if they are helping someone and offer to help when they are done. I would have been willing to wait longer if someone would have at least acknowledge me and said they would be right with me.
When you walk in, its always clean & every brand is easy to find. The products are for the most part orderly. Almost a the employees are really friendly & ask how your day is going, & that helps if youre shy & need a segwey into asking for help.
What a joke. I went to use a Sephora gift card here, and they wouldn’t let me use it because it’s not Sephora. It’s Sephora inside JCPENNYS...... Like are you kidding me.
I stood patiently waiting for one of the two women behind the counter to offer to help me check out, but they ignored me. I had to ask can someone help me please? And even then the girl who rang me up didnt make eye contact or smile. Also, they dont accept Sephora gift cards here because its not a big Sephora store.... Dont waste your time. Go to Tacoma instead.

I walked in asking if they had Olaplex, which, all of the employees told me that they had no idea what I was talking about. Showed them the empty bottle and tried talking me into buying another deep conditioner when I need the bond builder. Told them no, it says on your website that you sell it so Im not going to buy THAT, when I am already planning on buying the best hair care product for damaged hair on the market from YOUR store. I humored them, let them give me some samples, then she forgot about me. I was waiting and waiting she asked if I needed help... I reminded her about the sample and she asked me which one it was. I asked another girl to get the sample and she asked what it was for, I said something for damaged hair, some treatment or something I dont know she didnt say. Gave me the biggest sigh, walked around and finally figured it out, only to correct me and say no, its not a deep conditioner, its a shampoo and conditioner duo. She rolled her eyes and thats all we talked about. I told her Im not the professional. I just walked away and went to a different sephora. I love this store but the customer service lacks. This will be the last time I go. It wasnt that busy. I went to the sephora in Tacoma and they had it right in front. Didnt even have to ask them for it... And they knew exactly what I was talking about. Didnt make me feel like an idiot.
Seriously I am so incredibly impressed with the customer service here. The associate who helped me is Alex- here’s the situation:I was in the whole Fenty hype and I was so excited but I noticed the foundation was sitting weird on my face and it was all patchy. I went through all these skin regimes because I thought it was an issue with my skin, and then I found out that Fenty is geared towards oily skin when I have dry skin.At that point I didn’t have my receipt and it had been 2 months, so I had pretty much accepted my fate (even though I hadn’t used much of it). So when I went into the store yesterday I was mostly after samples, but after I told my story to Alex she said she would try to get me a complete refund!So I went back with my primer and foundation and told her that I don’t even have the same debit card anymore but I do have proof of purchase in the Sephora app. Alex went well out of her way to get me a complete refund even though I would have been happy with a partial credit, and she helped me pick out new products for my skin that I am IN LOVE WITH.GO ALEX!!! ❤️

I came to this Sephora to be color matched as I have never had it done before and was wanting to finally buy the right shade. It took twenty minutes for me to be helped which I didn’t mind as makeup stores always make me a little anxious and the store was busy so I could understand why it was taking time. When I was finally helped the woman, whose name I didn’t catch, used the skin iq gadget on my face, left to ring up a customer, and then came back with a bottle of foundation which she used to swatch on my face, it was a tad too dark though she insisted it was perfect. She proceeded to then tell me that the bottle in her hand was $47 dollars and asked if I would like a bottle. I told her no, that I’d like to try something else at which point she told me, in a tone that told me that she was done with me, that the cheapest bottle I would find in Sephora is $20 Sephora brand. It was never about cost for me. I was there to learn my skin tone and what foundation would work for me so that I could buy proper makeup. She didn’t so much as tell me what shade number I was in the bottle she was trying to sell me. I left with nothing and no further knowledge; as someone who finds makeup and makeup stores intimidating this experience did absolutely nothing to help bridge that gap for me. I can honestly say I will never set foot in a Sephora store ever again.

Ive always enjoyed Sephora shopping, but this was my 1st time in a Sephora boutique within a JC Penneys store. ☆☆LORENA☆☆ at the South Hill Mall JCP Sephora (Puyallup, WA) has great customer service skills! You killed it girl! 😉I was here in the early afternoon today (July 21, 2018, a Saturday) - a Saturday on which JCP was having some tremendous sales which made this Sephora even busier than a stand-alone Sephora typically is on a Saturday. BUSY! And yet the young woman ☆Lorena☆ who helped us didnt hesitate to get my Mom all set up with her own Beauty Insider membership and gave Mom her choice of this years complimentary birthday gift as its Moms birth month.After Mom had moved on to look at other things in JCP, I stayed behind trying various brands foundation colors on my inner arms. When she had a moment again Lorena checked in with me. I inquired as to whether they offered the Color IQ scan to help me determine my best foundation shades in various brands. It took a little searching, but she found who had the scanner and, when she could break away from the register again, scanned my forehead, cheek, & neck, then showed me how to check my B.I. acct to find which colors were listed. Lorena also offered to prepare a sample of any brands foundation for me to take home to try.Thanks again to Sephora & LORENA for a fun experience!

I was told I can help you now and the cash register was broken then there were ladies complaining when they had to take me to another cash register because they felt like I was cutting in the line. They only had one pair of pants in long Im very tall and need long pants only one pair in my size had to come home and order from Amazon
