I am very disappointed with this company because I went there after looking at the hours in the website but when I got there the store was closed. I was very interested in see how they work and to get assistance with my glasses but the experience was bad. They need to update the status and hours of this store. Also, people need a person on the phone to discuss specific things not just a recording machine. They really need to improve their service, that’s all!

Not sure if its due to covid or what but this place has really fallen off with their customer service, selection and even the thoroughness of the eye exams. Id rather pay a more money to get exactly the I want.

I’m not one to write reviews but they are scam artists. I went from ordered contacts that lasted 3 months for $200 to being charged $200 for 1 month. If I wanted the 3 contacts to last 3 months they said that would be $600. They blamed it on Acuvue prices doing up probably because of covid. I couldn’t believe prices doubled so I called Acuvue customer service. They were just as appalled by the price, took down my information and gave me some other consumers to contact to see their pricing. When I called one of the numbers, I just got 6 months worth of contacts for $300! This place is scamming money and should be shut down. Another reason not to go to this place, my eye was red so I went in paid the visit fee and they gave me the wrong drops, my eye only got worse. I called back and the doctor gave me attitude that I needed to be seen again and was trying to get me to wait a week. I demanded to be seen, they got me in, she was very rude and changed the drop and I still was charged. Do not go to this place.

I should have read the reviews first!!! After trying to call...which doesnt work because you cant reach anyone by phone - The recording says you have to book online - I did and had to wait almost 3 months for an opening. Fast forward one week before my appointment and the receptionist calls to ask what type of insurance I have and when I told them they said they dont take it. I said well maybe there should be a way to check your insurance before you book the appointment seeing as though I had to wait 3 months. She rudely says well you booked it online and hung up on me!!Doesnt she know thats the only option? You can not get a live person. What a waste of time! Im glad they cancelled me. Horrible customer service!!

Appointment canceled and was not notified by email they used to confirm. When I went there front desk person was having a long day and was rude. She asked for my email with attitude 😒 spent a lot of years buying my familys glasses. Im going somewhere else. Good luck.

What awful customer service! I need new glasses, but given COVID restrictions, I looked first on their website to see if an appointment was required. NOTHING ON THE WEBSITE MENTIONED APPTS BEING REQUIRED. Then I checked their Facebook page. AGAIN, NOTHING. Just to be triple sure (so I didnt waste a trip), I tried calling the store FOUR TIMES AND NO ONE PICKED UP. Finally, I figured they must be accepting customers given the absence of any information to the contrary. I arrive only to be told by the mgr that I need an appt to enter the store. My family and I have purchased many pairs of glasses at Visionworks over the years BUT NEVER AGAIN! I have no problem with appointments--what infuriates me is when businesses fail to notify their customers that they are required! When I asked the manager why that wasnt posted online, he said it was against company policy. UNBELIEVABLE.

Absolutely would not recommend to anyone. I went in for an eye exam and came out with a script of +1.00 while my prior script was -.75.... I got the glasses and when I stated everything was blurry and I couldn’t see the associate at the desk told me that wasn’t normal and got the doctor. She ensured me that her script was correct and it was going to be blurry until my eyes adjusted.... however I knew it was incorrect. I took them home for a day and then called stating that I think there was an error and she put a + instead of a -. She stated she was right; I was wrong and she didn’t expect me to wrap my head around it.....I returned the glasses and went somewhere else for a second opinion... they got me the correct script and told me that she was absolutely incorrect and that I don’t need + glasses.....Unfortunately I had to pay for the second opinion out of pocket but at least I was reimbursed for the glasses.I’d never recommend an eye exam there.... the Gentleman that helped me was nice but that’s it.You have been warned... good luck!

Unpleasant experience, I will not be a client/patient there. I scheduled the appointment at 6 pm they called asking me to reschedule and I agreed for 4:30, a week after their reschedule without even checking with me for 5 pm. And the person I spoke to, didn’t even apologize! Their customer service and the bedside manner are poorly professional! Wouldn’t recommend it!

Bad custumer service...Phone never be answered after many times calls. The woman that put my information in computer asked me 3 times for my phone number and email, and did not put it on computer. I wait 11 business days to have my call or email about my grasses and never got it. I call again. 40 min on phone hold and no buddy pick up the phone. I went there and I have very bad experience with the front desk. The guy was rude, unprofessional, unfriend. Maybe they dont need a customer over there. I really dont recommend that store. Just call first and you will see your problem starting...the guy that was assist me did a horrible job.

Avoid going to this place for an eye appointment at all cost! How do you open at 11 am and have four people lining up outside but yet one doctor is on for the shift. Also keep in mind that some of the employees that work here have already made friends with some customers. How is Karen a customer who came in after me gets called in. Once I question the employee I get the response that she was booked before me ? HOW if you just opened. Then when the employee realized his lack of answer he goes on to say they triple book patients there. I knew the BS I was already anticipating so I walked out and didn’t have it done. First and last time ever coming back here. Please if your a new customer take your money else where. Lastly this place doesn’t really deserve 1 star but I’ll put it up since I need it to post my review.

If there was a option for zero stars, I would give it. I understand with the whole covid-19 issue things are out of wack. But I got my eyes checked here as I always do every 2 yrs. The eye Dr. is good, but the most of the staff is unhelpful, and some are very hard to understand. I got my glasses there, made a appointment for the fitting. the employee was rushing me out the door, and seemed aggravated that he had to adjust the glasses more than once. I told him that they were a little blurry, he stated they were fine and I needed to get used to them. I went home, gave it a week, and nope still blurry. I had to call them to get another appointment, and let me tell you calling this office on the phone is not fun. the phone is either busy, no one answers, or it hangs up on you. I finally got a appointment. Went in and the man behind the desk says there is no appointment . I see two people sitting at their desks, the employee states they have no one to check my glasses today. I made another appointment. At this point I want to just get my money back for the glasses and go elsewhere where they can actually answer the phone and fix any problems that may come up.

I had a great experience at this office with Dr. Tran. Her exam was thorough and she was able to identify an unusual problem that I was having with contacts I was given by another office. She took the time to see me for multiple follow ups to make sure that the issue was resolved and that I was happy with my contacts. I would highly recommend Dr.Tran to anyone!

Visionworks Quincy is amazing! First off Dr. Tran did the most thorough exam I have had in years and spent a lot of time with me. Secondly, T the optician was amazing and so were all the folks helping me. Visionworks has by far the best selection of eye glasses for everyone (all price points). My insurance did not cover the glasses portion and I didn’t know it but T was very diplomatic and a perfect lady even after she had spent so much time with me showing the frames. I love Visionworks and Dr. Tran.

Recently I purchased 2 pairs of eyeglasses at the Visionworks in Quincy, MA. Tanita Jones helped me. She was personable, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. I wanted to take advantage of the $99 special. When I walked into the store she greeted me and, after hearing about the types of frames I like, she she quickly provided me with several options and helped me select 2 of them. She was a delight. Today I picked up my glasses and they’re perfect! Ron Hedges helped me today and he was also efficient and nice. Kudos on your hiring! I’ll definitely buy my next glasses from Visionworks Quincy.

Walk-ins are welcome but I highly recommend calling to confirm insurance coverage prior to going. Experience with front desk personnel was not standard for an eye office. Both women who greeted me seemed unsure on details of my insurance coverage. They blamed their system after I questioned the 2 different prices they quoted me for a routine eye exam that is 100% covered.Ive been here previously and experienced similar confusion and inconsistency with customer service. Called my insurance company and the agent offered to speak to the front desk after confirming that Visionworks was indeed in-network and the exam is 100% covered.I declined. There are other competitors in town. No need to return for a third time.

They are nice glasses, but not cheap glasses by any means. $160 for the basic lenses before the cost of the frame. Good selection and the staff is nice and full of patience.

Great customer service!! When they realized my prescription was complex and my insurance didnt work with Visionworks they told me what stores to go to.to save me money! Thats right - They sent me to a competitor to save me money!!

I would not recommend this business. Super unfriendly and outright rude. Go somewhere else...wish I could give no stars.4/26 - As a follow up to my review....I went to another vision center and found out that my prescription for bifocals that I received from Visionworks last year was completely wrong. Thank goodness they were rude to me because I now have the appropriate prescription and the new vision center was kind to me. I second my recommendation to go somewhere else.

Top notch service I received. Came in on a Monday afternoon (June 17th) looking to order another pair of glasses and brought in my prescription. They had exactly what I was looking for. I was told they’d be in around July 1st, yet they arrived on Saturday, June 22nd, well over a week early. My new glasses match my prescription, fit well, and look awesome on me! Thank you everyone!

Super unprofessional staff including the eye “doctors” that they have in house. I was told that I was covered by my insurance for a simple eye exam. Two months later I got a bill in the mail that I’m stuck paying out of pocket.

I wont be going back here. They first told me that my eye exam and glasses would be covered by insurance. After I already had my eye exam and picked out glasses, they told me oops the glasses arent covered. So I paid out of pocket. 3 months later, they sent me a bill for the eye exam. Turns out they are out of network (they failed to tell me this) so that isnt covered either. The optician was great but the staff is totally incompetent.

Had a 6:15 appointment on a Monday night. (May 20th) Was seen immediately but came a little early so I was able to choose the glasses I am interested in. So many to choose from! Dr. White spent so much time with me as my prescription was not an easy one. He stayed and worked with me until it was perfect and it was past closing time. I appreciated him not rushing. I bought a pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses and could not get over the price I payed. More than reasonable. My glasses before at another place were over 800.00. I got two pairs of glasses and an exam for less that 500.00. That was for trifocals! Was told that my new glasses would be in on May 30th. I received them on May 25th. I am more than happy with Visionworks and the staff there was great! Will be a repeat customer for sure and can highly recommend Visionworks.

I had a great exam with the optician she was amazing! But when I asked them to do a pupillary distance i was refused. I will never ever recommend anyone go here. I believe I was refused because I was not purchasing glasses there. Money hungry and rude!
