Used reliable truck repair when on the phone was quoted one price and when we our driver called for us to pay the bill price was double when we called them they said they would help us out and they had the best prices in town work. Was not done well unprofessional and added many extra parts to increase the bill make sure to get a written quote before you have any work done their would rather have my truck towed to Utah or Colorado and be late on a load then use this place would not recommend owner and employees are not good people will take advantage of company’s that brake down their and have no other options

We had one flat tire and another tire going flat when we arrived into town on a Friday night around 8:00 pm. We were desperate to have these tires repaired. We called and William answered. He asked that we bring vehicle to shop which we did and he repaired both tires for a very reasonable rate! Great service on a Friday evening well past normal business hours! Highly recommend this business!

We were traveling in our motorhome on vacation when an airbag failed on our motorhome. We were traveling to to Colorado and spending the night in Rawlins Wyoming and when we arrived at our Campground for the night I located Reliable Truck Repair on Google Search so I called them to see if they could make the repairs in the morning. I spoke with William and he said they could probably fix and have us on the road probably before noon. We went there the next morning and they were able to have us fixed and on the road by noon and we carried on with our vacation. Thanks to everyone there!

William, Gave me a quote for a repair then after he GOOGLED the procedure and completed it he tried to charge me triple..added stuff he didnt even do and when I questioned the invoice he got aggressive and irate, said if I didnt like it he could add more to it, then threatened to damage my vehicle at that point I said just let me pay the bill and get out of here because I was starting to get nervous about my safety, he said your not going anywhere and blocked my truck in and demanded for me to unlock it and open the hood, I refused and called the police at that point, they arrived then he started being super pleasant and, I paid it and left.. reduced bill some but not near the original quote I paid it and left. He tried to add things to the bill that werent done and were never discussed

Willam is AWESOME!! William is a very nice guy he did what he had to to get the job done. Broke down at the flying J in Rawlings he was there within 15 minutes he got our parts for our kenworth and fixed our truck. Very reasonable. I would give him 10 stars.

These guys were amazing. We blew a camper trailer tire and other potential options were closed or didnt have the right tire, but the guys at Reliable had what we needed and helped us get it installed as well. All for less than what just the new tire would have cost elsewhere.

William is a truly decent human being. When my daughter was traveling from Ogden to Rapid City, he helped her like she was his own daughter. He got her off the side of the highway, found a tire that fit her very old and unusual car, in little tiny Rawlins, WY and had her back on the road before nightfall. As an earlier reviewer said, he is trustworthy and has great personal and professional integrity.

This is an incredible business with honest, skilled mechanics. I didnt know people could be this kind. The owner, William, had mercy on us after happening upon us in a Walmart parking lot with engine failure on a road trip. When it became apparent that my engine was dead, he DROVE us home to Denver from Rawlins (over 4 hours). He spent the next month helping me navigate an insurance claim. William is one of the only mechanics Ive worked with who didnt take advantage of my lack of car knowledge. I wish Reliable wasnt so far away from where I live! I would go there for all my car work.

Comming through town and got a screw in the tire at 8:30pm William came out and fixed it for free, he wouldnt take any money so we left him with a tip.

Charged a friend 3 times quoted amount. Threaten to increase bill if she didnt pay. Googled and found similar stories about doubled bill after quote was okayed.

The folks at Reliable were a great help to us this last weekend. We had driven all day and had some transmission issues, and William helped us quickly and cheerfully! Instead of giving us the most expensive fix, (recommending a new transmission or the like) he checked the fluid and found that we were low and the system had merely overheated. He saved us about $4000 and only charged us for the smallest amount of time possible plus materials.I would (and have) recommend this place to friends and family as a affordable and quality auto shop!!

The name must be ironic because there is nothing reliable about Reliable Truck Repair. With out a doubt the worst experience Ive had with a mechanic.I live in Colorado and we broke down in Wyoming so we left the car at Reliable Truck Repair even though they said they wouldnt be able to put a new clutch into my Jeep Compass for 1-2 weeks. For 6 weeks I tried to get in touch with William and got little or no information about my car.When I finally had a friend drive me up there to get things sorted out in person I was told my car was at another shop called Dallin Motors. They told me that I owed them over twice the original amount I discussed at Reliable Truck Repair and that they had done other repairs justifying the $2,600 I supposedly owed them. I had explicitly said that I should be contacted if any other work needed to be done on the vehicle.I am astounded by the lack of professionalism and would not recommend this place under any circumstances.

I dont know what the negative reviews are about, my phone is broken so Im using my wifes. My motor blew on my 08 Dodge RAM driving from Oregon to Illinois while towing a 26 foot travel trailer. William, the owner of this shop, is letting me borrow his own personal vehicle so I can take my RV to a park while i wait for a new engine. I cannot think of any mechanic I have been to in my short 30 years on Earth that would be nice enough to do that. We also have a 6 month old and 2 pets. He is literally going out of his way to help us out. So in my mind it is a safe assumption to say the people leaving this place bad reviews are probably not good people to begin with. He even gave me his discounted price for a used motor to swap mine with from who he buys it from. I even talked to the guy myself on the phone. He couldve easily charged me more money without me knowing to say it was for shipping the motor or just said it cost more. The used motor is $1900 by the way (With a 6 month warranty too). A price I dont think I would get from any mechanic in Washington, Oregon, or Illinois. Not to mention that any of the mechanics I ever met or did business with in any of those states sure as hell wouldnt let me use their personal vehicle so I could have a place to stay. If you are broke down on a long journey and you can stop or get towed here, you should do it right now. Dont even look around anywhere else, because you are wasting your time you could be using to get your vehicle fixed without getting ripped off......

William went to great lengths to help me get my truck running after I had repairs done at Volvo of Cheyenne they didnt tighten my fuel filter down correctly Frank diagnostic tests showed fuel injector minimum output he got my truck running in under an hour hats off to Reliable Truck Repair Thanks again

William was so helpful in quickly diagnosing and solving our cars transmission problem! He didnt try to upcharge us for what was an easy fix, and he got us back on the road pronto. I hope we dont get stranded in Rawlins again any time soon, but if we do, Reliable will be our first choice.

We were on our way from SLC to Denver and had to get our engine thermostat replaced. They got us right in when we arrived and Hans was awesome. He was quick and nice (and funny!). Best service I have ever experienced. Alternator went out and they offered to come put a booster on it so I could drive it to the shop to save me from having to tow it there. It also only took three hours from first calling the shop from the gas station where I was stuck to being on the road again. Excellent pricing as well.

They were nice but William WAY oversold himself. We got there on Sunday and he assured me that if he can’t find an axle, nobody could in town. He convinced us to wait till Monday for him to hunt one down. He couldnt find one close by and said it would take 2 and a half weeks to get it. We were about to store our camper in town to fly back to get it after the part got in when we decided to get a second opinion. We went to the Boss shop who was able to get the part the next day. Instead of relying on William to be the hero, we just relied on the Boss Shop to do their job. Had we went there first, we would have gotten out a day sooner

I stuck on I80 East In Wyoming I call this mechanic to come lock my truck because it wasn’t starting first he late second he was very unprofessional once he came he doesn’t know what to do he was keep asking me what’s wrong with your truck I told him it doesn’t start if I know why I called you your mechanic you should figure out what’s going on he charge me $450 he said I’m going to bring a Port he never come back

This was the only auto repair shop open when my boyfriends car had a check engine light and several issues that we later discovered were related to the alternator. The owner was not in town, but took the time to arrange for a mechanic to come in and try to diagnose the issue. I told the owner that we were on our way to Lander, and he even called me back to ensure that we had made it there safely with no other problems. Service of this caliber is nearly unheard of-- thank you so very much!

Very unprepared professional mechanic my Motorhome had a bad fuel filter when he came late he change the filter and car stop after 3 mile drive I called him he never answer and I pay him $600 please never call him again he’s a very unprofessional

My truck threw a U Joint on my way out home on Superbowl Sunday. They got me in at 5pm. They already had the parts being delivered. Later upon inspection it was found that the drive shaft broke a few more parts when it let loose. The whole staff was very professional and went out of their way to make sure I had a ride to and from the hotel. Frank was super knowledgeable and bent over backwards to try to find the parts that were factory direct. He was very honest in his opinion and him and Hans did everything they in their power to get me back on the road again. Very appreciated!

I think William is one of the only places that wants to work on Saturday.Ive got more good stuff to say about him and his mechanics than I have time for. So to sum it all up this man went out of his way to help get me back on the road and back to Pennsylvania And driving for a living Ive been into a lot of garages and normally when youre from out of state you better hang on tight because your check book at getting ready to get whacked and I will say when he handed me the bill my jaw dropped open not because it was Hi but because it was probably one of the most reasonable repair bills Ive ever seen transporting around the country. If youre anywhere near Rawlins and need service work of any kind this guy is definitely your man.

I pull a cattle pot n broke down in rawlins on Saturday morning that ended up being one of the worst storms n was told to call reliable trk repair he told me bring it on in had the problem tore down before noon and parts ordered than the storm hit !!! he was straight up n honest said it was going to be a couple days because of the weather and road conditions make a long story short he said hed make it right n wow he didnt lie totally fair on price n workmanship and his employees are bunch of good ole boys with great work ethics they dove right into the job with out complainingTHANK YOU GUYS FOR GETTING ME BACK ON THE ROAD!!!!!!

Ive had them repair my two vehicles and the experience was great both times. They were good at communicating progress and helping me know when I could expect the work to be done. Its been hard to find a good mechanic in Rawlins, so Im especially glad I found them.The location is a little hard to find since there arent any signs visible from the street. The building is to the right of the Build Rite hardware store (after you turn off the main road). Once there, use the extrance around the back.

I would give them negative stars if I could! We were having problems that we recognized as a blown head gasket. They looked at it for an hour and a half but didnt really test anything. Then they changed my oil and said it was fine and we could continue another 300 miles to our destination. Nope! We overheated and after multiple stops we barely made it. We took it to a real mechanic in Ogden and he very quickly, not only found that it was a blown head gasket, but even pinpointed where it was blown. Worst of all they charged us $200 for nothing more than an extremely slow oil change. Please never go there.

I cannot say enough good things about this place and the professionals who work here.We were almost heisted by another mechanic in town who was completely incompetent and dishonest. He had told us that the engine needed to be hoisted out, it would take 9-12 hrs and wasnt sure if they could do it. Smelling a scam, I sought a different opinion and William and his staff took over with genuine concern and competence. After 4 nights of staying in a hotel and waiting upon the other sheisty mechanics word, we transferred our vehicle to Reliable. It was a completely different issue that was far less expensive than we had initially been quoted. (Had the other mechanic even diagnosed correctly??)We were out of Rawlins and back on the road to Oregon within a couple days and William was accommodating and gracious, very communicative and kind during our ordeal.We made it to Oregon with his help and the competent services of Hans and Frank. They were wonderful! Best service in Rawlins!

Will came recommended by a coworker and after calling several other shops in Rawlins, decided to give him a shot. He was very easy going and assuring in our phone call so I dropped my truck off with a bad water pump the next morning before they opened. They got right to work, calling and texting their progress, letting me know about other issues I would be dealing with and addressing this as well for a very nominal additional charge. Im very satisfied and will bring them my business in the future. Trust me on this one, you wont find a better shop in Rawlins!Just an update, I was leaving town with a couple of broken hydraulic lines on my RV and they stopped what they were doing to get me squared away. While traveling in my motorhome through Wyoming the coach developed a cooling system leak.I search Google Maps for a nearby diesel mechanic and settled on Reliable Truck Repair. He was willing to come out to the rv park, but I chose to drive to his shop. Once there I opened the engine compartment and pointed at the leaking valve. He asked me for the pair of pliers I was holding in my hand (used to loosen the tow bar). He then tightened the valve and told me to start the engine. Leak was gone and there was no charge. Even told me that WalMart has the coolant that I need at the lowest price in town.He could have easily told me to leave the RV ar the shop for a few hours and charged a couple of hundred bucks for the repair.He not only saved me $$$ but valuable driving time as well.
