Our tow service (Stauffer /Sean) recommended Taylor Auto Repair. He diagnosed the problem right away, was able to get the parts, had us back on the road! Good Sam Roadside Assistance could not find a mechanic to work on it. We were very thankful to have such great ser and service!
Every time I have trouble with my vehicles,I take it to Terry Autmotive the work he does is always fast Honest &reliable . He does Great Work.. I trust in him with my vehicals Agree but needs more stars hes worth it.
My sons vehicle broke down 65 miles outside of Rawlins and was towed to Taylor Auto. I was able to narrow the problem to an alternator, but felt it was worth paying a local mechanic to save time. They were able to confirm it was the alternator and then gave me an outrageous quote of over $800 for a Toyota RAV 4. Alternators for this vehicle range from $200-$300 retail. They quoted $400 part and $400 labor. By reference a local mechanic quoted half this price for the same repair. It was cheaper to drive to Rawlins, pay the $144 diagnostic plus $15 fee for using a card, trailer it back home, and pay the local shop to fix it. Which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place To me this appears to be a mechanic taking advantage of a traveler and charging over double the price. After reading the other reviews, I cannot argue against this mechanic being a crook. Avoid at all costs.
Excellent and timely service. He was able to resolve our issue quickly and was very reasonably priced.
My truck was towed to this shop Sunday because of a failed water pump. The owner was very straight forward and got me squared away in not long at all. I appreciate the service. Thank you.
Had a good experience in a bad situation here. I blew the engine while moving all my wife and Is belongings. Jacks down the road offered me $25 without even looking at my truck, Taylors took the time to explain the likelihood that the truck couldnt be fixed, they looked at it, and then they explained the few options I had. If the shop werent so busy and they looked at the truck a little earlier in the day, Id give 5 stars. I was, nevertheless, pleased with the service I received here and recommend this shop.
The guy can come off as a bit onry, but it gets the job done. The diagnostic fee seemed a bit high to tell me that my engine had seized, but oh well, thats what I needed to know.
I just feel like if they cannot find what is wrong and cannot help you that you should not be charged. I was charged nearly $112.00 just to be told they could not locate the problem. I ended up taking my car to a dealership to fix (please see my review on Browns Towing in Rawlins). We are from Texas and our Toyota dealership charges $79. He is a mom and pop shop and he charges more than a dealership. Asked him to give me a ride to my hotel and he said his truck was to high off the ground. I am 53 years old and diabetic and I had to walk to my hotel. WOW!!!
Dishonest. Very dirty. 8% Charge on all cards (even debit cards). Outrageous Charges.I was on my way to my military post when I ran into trouble with my truck in the middle of winter in Rawlins. USAA ordered my towing with Jacks Body & Fender repair (they may try to take you to Taylors). Sean, the driver suggested I use his buddys shop, Taylors Autor Repair. I arrived at the shop, and explained that I was on my way to Denver to perform military duty. First thing, there are signs all over the shop saying 8% charge applied to all cards. They immediately wanted me to sign a document that said I would pay them for repairs, and I told them I wanted a quote first, but they insisted I sign. I asked them to show me what was wrong with the truck when they found it, and when they took me into the garage area, it was littered with piles of junk and filth. When I left the shop they quoted me ~$500 repair...sounded fine, until....I was still on duty when Taylors called me to say they finished the truck and the final price had magically grown to over $800. I tried to dispute with no avail. When I tried to pay, they told me the 8% charge would be applied even if I use a debit card. I was still on duty, and would be trying to pick up my vehicle when the shop would already be closed. The owner made ZERO effort to work with me on getting him paid. I had to get special permissions to leave post during duty, to go to a bank and wire money to Taylors.I highly recommend avoiding this shop at all costs.
Great customer service and personally know owner
What a scam. We’re traveling from Virginia and got some bad gas from a gas station just a few miles away. $90 to check for codes and test drive around the block. Advance auto, oreily and Napa all check codes for free. Don’t be fooled by these con artists for less than 30 minutes of work that any other shop would do for free. He had the audacity to try and tell me his code reader was 20k as I’m looking at the same one here at walmart for $20. Don’t waste your time here especially if you’re traveling.
Great straight forward honest and knowledgeable guys!
