I was excited to find a beauty supply on our route and stopped in to shop. My daughter was poking at things and was gently admonished by the lady at the register to be careful not to knock anything over. I reprimanded my daughter but it is literally not possible to tell a toddler not to touch anything, enforce it and shop. I then felt uncomfortable because Im pretty positive they continued to talk about the issue. I had more to buy but I decided we should just leave. I paid for the things we had grabbed up to that point. They apologized and said they didnt want me to have to buy something that my daughter broke. She explained that they were watching me (I guess on cameras in the back?) and called her to address it. I would like to patronize this business, especially since there arent a lot of Black beauty supply Stores out in our part of Lees Summit but it was really uncomfortable. I explained that I would certainly expect to pay for anything that my daughter broke.I am a 45 year old woman so I am certainly well aware of social norms in shopping. I assume that their behavior is a result of their experiences with poorly behaved customers but it definitely chases away people like me who come in ready to spend good money on a regular basis.I guess Ill come back in 10 years or whenever I can legally leave my daughter at home.

Unprofessional. The woman at the counter is freaking rude. They had stuff priced wrong even when I pointed out to her. She just left it as is & the older woman just walks around you in circles making you feel uncomfortable. If y’all are that paranoid about people stealing & then y’all need to shut down. WORK ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. First & last time coming here.

They had a 50% off sale for wigs. They will gyp you! If you try on a wig, the 50% discount is null and void. Whos going to buy a wig without trying it on? Its not like I tried on a new wig; it was a display. Just be careful here and read all the posted signs before buying anything.

AT LEAST be open when your hours say you’re going to be open.

I absolutely love this establishment, I’ve been going here for years and Ms. Leah who has been putting in so much hard work here for years is like family I love the staff no matter who is working on any day, is so sweet and so kind and very, always has been a very welcoming, comfortable and caring place of business.

So my sister has been going here for a year or so, and she finally took me. I LOVE IT. Absolutely great customer service, very helpful, respectful. They have alot of the hard to find hair, selection is large, and prices are good. This is my new stop for beauty supply needs.

I went into the shop on 350 hwy and needed help matching some braid hair with my own hair. The person that assisted me was sure that it matched but after i got home it was too light. I called back only to be refreshed of the no return policy. The manager was snotty over the phone and smart allecky lacking customer service skills. I went back to store and the manager started helping me but then acted like she was exhausted or something even though i was the onlycustomer in the store. She gave me the cold treatment. Neither the manager or the person that sold me the hair the 1st time apologized for any inconvenience they had caused. Another store employee ended up helping me but turns out she matched the hair up for me to s tee, but they did not carry the brand i wanted so i ended up making a trip for nothing, treated nasty, and traveled across country to another store. Bad experience.
