Super cute little Cafe on the second floor of the historic Pottery Place. We enjoyed good sandwiches and great pie. They had plenty of options. The staff was friendly. Many locals ordered out while others dined in and enjoyed the ambiance. I also purchased some items from the darling General store on the first floor. Cute gifts, nostalgic candy, candles, kitchen items, socks and so much more.

Quaint corner cafe on the second floor with a selective menu of sandwiches, quiches, pot pies and the ever necessary pies. Located in the famed 1877 stoneware factory building this little slice of heaven embraces the rugged wood floors, authentic brick interior and the oilcloth covered tables. My Classic Chicken Pot Pie was a nice mixture of large chunks of chicken, mixed vegetables in a savory sauce baked in a flaky, warm crust. My wife’s Apple Sausage Quiche was also very tasty with a cheesy, flaky texture. Both came with a side salad of fresh mixed greens, cucumbers, croutons, tomatoes in a vinaigrette dressing. Tiffany was an exceptional host, offering suggestions and working with us in our ever present state of confusion. A general store is located on the main floor with the ever available touristy items and a selection of candies and chocolates. One can also browse the antiques located throughout or take in the fine art at the Abode Gallery.

Chicken pot pie was very good and tasted very fresh. The cherry pie was the best cherry pie Ive ever had. Great little place!

It was delightful. Cute little spot in a beautiful historical building. The food was amazing. Comfort food at its best. I had a beef and cheese handpie and it was so good.

I think maybe they were training someone in? It took way too long to make the wrap we ordered.We were the only customers on a Sunday afternoon and there were 3 people working there.It took well over 10 minutes to make 1 simple non heated wrap sandwich.That aside, the wrap was delicious. I think it was turkey, cheese, mayo, lingonberry jam, red onion, lettuce and tomato. I just cant remember the name of it🙄😂 very tasty!

Be prepared to wait for your food. Menu is creative and inspired but mediocre when executed. To pay $10 + for a sandwich one expects something worth it. Creativity is great but produce something that you can consistently make well and maybe you can fill seats.

A coworker recommended this place to me, and I’m so glad. I enjoyed a salad with bleu cheese, apple, and pecans, which I ordered to make myself feel better about the delicious slice of chocolate cream pie I also religiously devoured. I definitely recommend this spot! There are a few little two-person tables nearby to enjoy your repast. And afterwards you can shop for antiques in the same building.

Wonderful from-scratch dishes in really cool restored-factory digs. The pie cookies were a marvel and the BLT and quiche were excellent! The food came out in a timely manner and was perfectly prepared.

Bring your appetite! The food satisfies even the pickiest eater...me. I had the Turkey sandwich and it was super yummy. I wont be eating the rest of the day. Please come see these guys! It is worth skipping breakfast to have lunch at the Pie Plate Cafe

Disappointing! Almost $30 for. Microwaved pasty, can of soda and a 6” pie. To be fair the pie was good, but overpriced. The Swedish meat pasty was almost all crust with very little filling. It was microwaved and soggy. Look elsewhere.

The old Redwing factory is a combination of antique shops and restaurants. We visited the antique shops. Very nice layout.

Fantastic pies, deli sandwiches, grilled sandwiches, savory and pot pies and salads. The chicken pot pie is an instant favorite. Try a pie shake or cookie.

Short on staff so it took almost an hour to get food and almost every table was full. But it was very good sandwich (we had roast beef special) but the Double Lemon Pie, Mom thought was grainy...I ate it, and thought it was a little but not so bad I wouldnt eat PIE!!! SACRILEGE!!! LOL

Ordered two cold sandwiches on a Friday for lunch. Waited over 40 minutes for them! After waiting 20 minutes and inquiring about an ETA, was told they’d be ready in a few minutes and they were starting to make the sandwiches. !! Don’t waste your time here.

We stopped in to the pottery place. The pie place is absolutely delicious! Great service and the pie cookies lets just say I should of bought more. 👍

The pies are amazing! I have had great service experiences as well! Today I got there 3 minutes to closing hoping I could get a whole pie to go yet. The place was shutting down and the gal was so sweet and helpful. I got 2 big pies and she even helped carry them to my car, which is down steps and not parked right in front of the door. Definitely going above and beyond!

I first tried Stockholm pie on the way home from a blues festival in Wisconsin. I had the canadian maple with a cup of coffee and fell in love! When I found out there was a closer store to me in Red Wing I was thrilled! I go there every time Im in the area to at least grab some pie cookies for my drive. Their crust is incredible! And the food here is just as good as it is at the main store and the staff is just as friendly! I tell everyone about this place. Full rating from me and definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely delicious all around. Our family dined here for a late lunch. The salads were fresh, the sandwiches perfect, the soup excellent, and the pot pie to die for. A lot of love and care is put into the food made here, and it shows. The staff is so friendly, too. Pie Plate is a gem of Red Wing and well stop in every time were in town.

We stopped by this sweet little place during our weekend getaway. What a cute little rustic place with the sweetest staff. We had two different warm sandwiches and they were delicious. Pricing seemed appropriate and there were lots of options! Only suggestion would be a different dressing for the side salad. Thanks for the great little lunch place!

Neat little shop in historic Red Wing building. Up stairs cafe has the best pies. Ive had the chicken pot pies, and they are among the best Ive ever had. Their kitchen area is small, but they make some wonderful lunch and desert creations.

I had a really good sandwich, The Stockholm. Makes me want to get some good deli turkey. The pie cookie was a perfect size treat, they are a little spendy. The soup was really good, it was a German sausage potato soup, with a hint of rye flavor, dont know how they did that but it was great. The pie slices are smaller than they used to be, but the (Stockholm) price has come down from $5.50 to $4.99 here in Red Wing, but still smaller than you would hope. I am not able to eat much sugary foods so not a big deal to me. The lunch stuff, that it the good stuff.

I wish there was a Pie Plate Cafe close to Saint Marys in Rochester.They are expensive, but our food was very good. The menu is healthy.The cafe is menu of items posted on a wall, order at register, nice quaint seating, food served in takeout containers. Appeared very clean with friendly staff.

I went there for a sandwich guessing that in a cafe will be better than a sandwich place, but after 30 minutes waiting I got a cold sandwich its nothing different than the sandwich you do at home so I was disappointed.

Small place, very limited seating if theyre busy (and it was). Its upstairs and might be hard for elders or a person with disabilities to access. The elevator was SLOW, just went for the stairs instead. EXTREMELY LONG WAIT TO ORDER AND TO RECEIVE THE FOOD. Good food though.
