Went into Bentronics today for the 1st time, had a technical issue we couldn’t seem to figure out. Thought we needed to buy connectors, we didn’t it turns out. I think the owners market is mainly local IT people, but if youre an idjit consumer who needs an oddball adapter cable or the like, dont bother making the rounds at the usual big-box suspects. Bentronics has the part you need and some good technical advice thrown in for free.

Very responsive to local ham operators. Excellent customer service. Answers questions and does not talk down to you if you are not tech literate.

Tons of stuff you just cant find at an actual store anymore. Bill is really doing Northern California a service. Will be going back to help support a place like this.

In the 1960s and 1970s, shops like Bentronics could be found in most modest sized communities. Then one by one, they all disappeared. Fortunately for Redding, Bentronics continues stock parts that you cant buy anywhere else in the North State. Bentronics is one of the only legitimate electronic parts stores North of Sacramento

The BEST shop for small/micro electronics in the city. Since the Radio Shacks closed, its nice that someone is providing this stuff for the area. Owner is very friendly and helpful.

Bill at Bentronics is very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a wide selection of electronic stuff from individual components to amateur radio gear to sound system cables and components. Will definitely shop there again.

If you miss Radio Shack, youll love Bentronics. Lots of miscellaneous electrical diodes, transistors, capacitors, and other things electrical. I wish I had known about this place a few years ago.

Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They can point you to exactly the item your looking for. This is where I go to get any electronic part I need. They carry most everything and if they dont have it, most likely it can be ordered for you from their supplier in just a couple days.

For people with electronic components needs, this business is like an oasis in the barren desert . In the past 2 years Redding had 5 electronics parts retail sources and now the best of them is all that remains. The owner/operator, Bill Johnson, is personable, honest and responsive even to the smallest request, which I find extremely rare in todays retail environment.

Once again, Bentronics has come through for me. This time, I was looking for a simple magnetic alarm reed switch, to be used as a garage door open sensor. All the big hardware stores had were entire, complicated, expensive alarm systems. None of the major stores I visited had the small electrical part I needed, but Bentronics did.Previously, I had received a small mini computer from a Chinese company that had arrived with a power supply with an incorrect size connector on it. A quick visit to Bentronics, and I was able to pick up the small adapter needed to make the power supply usable with the device I had received - the very same day.The major hardware stores dont carry the small magnetic switch I was looking for. The only big electronics store in town, doesnt carry the special little power connection adapter I needed. Now that Radio Shack is gone, Bentronics seems to be the only place in Redding left as a supplier of all the tiny electrical things.

I have an old Samsung plasma tv that had a blown out capacitor. I was going to order the part online. It would take about 2 weeks to arrive, but I didnt want to wait that long. So Ive decided to checkout Bentronics to see if they had the part, which I called in advance and they did!Bill prefered a newer and stronger part for me that was better than my previous one. I took the part home and installed it. Works like a charm! Only cost me $2.49! Great customer service and very knowledgeable! Great place to go for electronic parts!

Poor service. Didnt even have the basics like 4 pack of rechargeable batteries. Both items I needed, the excuse I get was Shipping would be very expensive and its just not profitable to carry them. Thanks for no help. Office depot had the batteries I was looking for.
