Why does food max get 5 star? They have probably the best looking produce section in town. Compare it to a high end place like sprout and they blow them out of the water.

Love shopping here for personal shopping and my gig. Everyone treats me professionally and are very helpful. They all have great work ethics and get along with each other well, which makes the store welcoming and comfortable. In July I had a huge order to fulfill, 2 shopping carts full, one with only drinks, including alcohol and cases of water. The other cat completely full of food. I can tell they are short staffed, but not one complaint about it. Customers behind me were given priority for their 1 or 2 items and that is how I would like to be treated if I were them. I also really appreciate the way I was treated by my cashier for the large order .I need this job and I cant work regular work hours. I had a great customer, she tipped well, and a smooth delivery, so that order really was a godsend for me. Thank you!!!

Great selection. Great prices. Some staff are great while others are average (but hey, isnt that most places). My real issue that there is frequently items that dont have signage for prices...which results in me having to track down an employee because I dont know if it is on sale like last week, or if not, what the new price is.

They carry a lot of California produce. Not a huge bakery selection unfortunately. Great Hispanic food selection! Never too busy. Not my favorite store for meat.

Shop there all the time. Great products at a great price. The people working there are very professional and very respectful to their patrons. The shelves are always stocked and their prices are very reasonable.

The people that work in the Meat Department are awesome. Love Joe. Hes always helpful. The cranky ol dairyman....not so much.The only problem is.... there are never enough checkstands open.

Customer service here is great. All the employees are very nice and are always helping everyone smile. Joseph was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure I found everything on my list. I will be back here because of the great employees!

Food Maxxs produce department is beautiful! Fresh, colorful fruit & veggies are nicely displayed. Its a good sized area too. Larger than many grocery stores produce sections. They also carry a Buffalo Ranch salad bag my husband and I really like.

Shelfs were a little bare. Its a little too dark for my liking but not crowed at all today.

Experience at FoodMaxx was wonderful as always I think your Cashiers are great, good sense of humor.

Went looking for something that a truck driver can take with them and eat. Found a pretty good selection of Dinty Moore ready to eat microwaveable meals.

FoodMaxx sometimes has a reputation as a low rent supermarket, but this location is clean, well stocked, the employees are generally friendly, and they have managed to adapt and keep up with the craziness of COVID-19.The produce also generally is fresher than some competitors, with the bagged lettuce being notably better.Occasionally items are marked at extremely low prices, with fairly close dates. So long as you pay attention and will use the product in time, they are good deals.

They have fresh produce every day and prices are reasonable.

Customer service is little to nothing, the few employees that do good service look exhausted, a lot of employees standing around goofing off, blocking food shelves. I live close by and have to run in for 1 item every now and then for years, workers wont acknowledge you, most of the time you cant find anyone on the sales floor to ask a question. Many items are expired, Ive had to let management know whole cases of mayonnaise was expired. Very small selection of organic produce and most fresh food goes bad in a day. Its obvious this store is not being held to decent standards.

I really liked this store! I havent shopped at many stores since Ive moved to the area, I usually just stick to the same ol same ol, but today I tried something different and Im so glad I did. I was able to find great products at great prices. I especially like the Veggie Dept. Great Selection.

Polite Employees, Good Price

Been my go-to for decades. Great prices, good selection, top-shelf produce at a fraction of the cost at Safeway or Raleys. My favorite thing about this store is that theres not someone in your way everywhere you want to go (like Winco). The shopping experience is pleasant.

Generally a much faster place to grab groceries, well organized and clean.

November 27, 2020 about 1:30 pm. I checked out at the 20 items or less line. The clerk, a man with with a beard, wasnt wearing a mask and he was coughing all over my groceries. Stay home if you are sick, wear a mask, stop spreading your germs. Coronavirus is real.

Fair prices

Prices are good and has to lay out of a smaller bulk food shop, which means for the store size theres actually a very wide variety of what there is to get very good priced meat as well, if youre shopping on a budget this is a place to check out

I usually shop at winco and Costco for my food needs. The price of Gatorade went up at winco from $.88 to $1.33 per quart over the last month. I went to the new Save Mart and found it a lot cheaper, at $1.08 a quart.Then my wife suggested we try Food Maxx, since its right by winco and Costco. We found the Gatorade to be $.99, which is even better than Save Mart and much closer to where we live. I use a lot of Gatorade at work, and its good sometimes to shop around and price compare. 🙂

Its a good store

I really like shopping here because I feel way less crowded here than at other grocery stores. The aisles are big enough to actually push a cart through, and I don’t constantly feel like I’m in someone’s way. The store is clean and employees are nice. Plus I save just like so much money shopping here compared to Safeway or Costco or something.

FoodMaxx is the hastle free alternative to other supermarkets with similar prices. The wait at the checkout stand is longer than necessary, but still better than all the other grocery store options in Redding. Their produce section has a wide variety of fresh veggies. This place has great prices on beef and poultry. The beef isnt premium, but its not bad. The frozen food section is good too

LOVE foodmaxx! Meat cutters are always very helpful! I break down a lot of meat myself, they are always super knowledgeable about what cuts I can make out of bulk, or primal cuts of meat for BBQ. All around helpful and friendly staff!!

Great selection of products and produce is always fresh. They offer a wide variety of ethnic foods which most dont carry in town. Store is well lit, clean and staff very helpful when looking for items. They offer fresh produce, large meat section, bakery, liquor department and a small pet isle. Very nice store.
