I have spent 20 years in service. Im a certified Master Tech and have gone from service writing, tech on the floor, service manager, branch manager to area manager. Unfortunately, I know why there is an inherent mistrust of the field in general. I have primarily worked heavy duty and used to pride myself in the fact that people would go out of their way to get their trucks to my shop because they new they could trust me - sometimes its hard to find a shop where thats the case. Being somewhat new in the area, I found myself needing to find an automobile shop, so I started extensively researching reviews. Nobody gets 100% perfect reviews in this world - often people do not fully understand or are angry about the situation the broken vehicle has put them in and the only person they can take it out on is the one giving them the news. The first time I used them was for my sisters car, I spoke with Joe, the owner, and he was very professional and helpful. They were able to get her in within the week, and had it done when expected at just under the estimate, which was a fair amount. I then needed to get my daughters car in for multiple issues, hinting at a failure i was worried couldve been a head gasket. They were very busy, but were able to at least take a look at it within the week, determine it wasnt the head gasket or block and identify several items and provide a quote. I didnt realize the kids took the car to another shop (Redmond Auto Service/Tire Pros) when I was out of town 6 months earlier, until discussing the quote with them. When they provided me the work order, I found out that all issues were related to repairs done at that time in addition to some progressive damage to the radiator. I had to have Auto Experts pull it back out so I could have it towed to the other shop for warranty, and am still waiting for it to be looked at. Through the entire process, Andy never got frustrated with my questions, always returned my phone calls the same day, and they were again very fair in what they charged for the inspection/diag. I was also able to pay over the phone, get my work order e-mailed, and they got the car handed over to the tow company for me. I dont have a single negative critique and will continue to do business and send business their way.

Every time I use Auto Experts, I find nothing wrong with them. Theyre excellent and honest! What more can you ask?

Brought my vehicle in to have transmission checked and serviced, they said it was fine. Brought it back because it was still showing signs of transmission issues. They checked it again, charged me again, said it was fine. Then they did a full service on the engine $850 and still didnt fix the issue.... I went home feeling defeated, being in the hole over $1,000. I got online and searched my vehicles symptoms and diagnosed it myself. Turns out it needed a new transfer case....and they call themselves experts... I think maybe not.

These guys were great! I needed a battery replaced on a road trip and they got me right in. Super nice guys.

I thought I had died and went to auto repair heaven. I made an appointment over the phone for 1pm. I arrived 10 minutes early. They got my information and told me it would be 2-1/2 hours. Immediately at 1pm they started servicing my car and 2-1/2 hours later they were done. The problem was fixed and at a very reasonable cost. These guys are great; I highly recommend them.

We were on a roadtrip when we had issues with leaking brake fluid/no brakes. Joe helped us out in huge way! I cant thank him enough for getting us in and back on the road so we could get home (Washington). Very professional service and kind.

Went in to make an appointment for fixing my audi. Waited an hour and nobody including owner would even acknowledge that i was there. They have some kind of personal problem with me i think. Very rude and honestly irritated me alot. All reviews say how nice and good of people they all are but inly to select people i suppose because they were terrible to me.

My daughter has a child and she paid $250 to get her heater fixed today and I loaned her the money and its still not fixed. They told her it would be another $250 or more. Totally lead her wrong. Charged her $70 to tell her problem. Then she brought it back to get problem fixed they said it would be $175 and problem its fixed said another $209 plus labor to fix it. So she is without a heater for her new born daughter. Im very upset and I am going to call them !!!

I had an oil change done at a dealership that went wrong and I called Auto Experts and Andy told me what they did wrong at the dealership. They fixed it at reasonable prices. I will definitely keep bringing my cars to Auto Experts.

We broke down just before we were to reach our hotel. When you are on vacation that can be a disaster! How do you find a good, honest, and kind mechanic? Well, you pray if youre me and call the Auto Experts! Andy got us in the next day and what couldve been a huge cost turned out to be a fraction thanks to his thorough assessment and quick response. I cant say enough good things about my experience! Truly a very clean, professional place. He took care of me ahead of schedule and went above and beyond for this out-of-towner.

Fantastic shop! Ive been to 3 or 4 other shops in Redmond and Bend and they all did sub-par work or were extremely expensive in the case of the Ford dealer. Auto Experts has exceeded every one of my expectations and they deserve MORE than five stars! Joe, the owner, has answered SO many of my questions and is never too busy to talk to customers and make them feel as comfortable as possible in his shop. He and his crew are nothing short of car geniuses. High praise, normally Im pretty picky and I know enough about cars to know when Im being screwed over. Auto Experts are quick and effective and have never overcharged me or tried to sell me parts I didnt need. I was told I would need a new engine in my truck by another shop, and they diagnosed, fixed the issue, and got it back out in a matter of a couple days. The best part being that they charged me less than $300 and completely resolved my issue! No new engine for me! I also had a clutch go out recently on my civic. They received the car from the tow truck and I was back driving it in less than 24hrs! Amazing.Please dont waste your time with other shops. Ive done it already. Thank you Auto Experts!

Honestly I still don’t understand what was wrong with my car but I love this company they have been so informative and helpful these past few times I brought my car in and the workers are amazing I took my equinox in to replace a tail light and the mechanic even took the time to push out the dents highly recommend them if you want a honest informative mechanic

I was almost 10 minutes late, no problem by them. First time using Auto Experts. So, went in blind kinda. They were very polite, followed mandates set forth. Took a summary of what needed done. Non-working front window sprayer stopped working and a serpentine belt replaced(I supplied) in a 2008 Matrix. I was able ro wait while work was being done, in their wonderful sitting area( wifi, tv, Hulu, amazon prime, etc. Also a coffee, tea and water to drink) very nice. Took 1.5 hours later our car was fixed. Cost was labor and a small 15 dollars for the hose. Beyond pleased with the service I received. I would recommend to anyone, for your car maintenance. We had an oil leak and couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. They fit us in quickly on our schedule. They were friendly, fast and very efficient! I would totally recommend this company!

I like this place quite a lot. I had a brake job done for all tires, a good portion of which was to fix another shops work. The brake job was awesome. Fast forward several weeks and I needed to swap over tires to a different set already on rims. The lug nuts were so tight that I ultimately had to use a heavy breaker bar to get the lug nuts free... all except the last one which (of course because of it being the last one) stripped. I called the shop and vented about this, they had me come back, fixed and replaced the lug nut, AND, put the other tires on for me. These guys have complete honesty and integrity and I would/will recommend them to anyone.

I had an amazing, above and beyond experience at Auto Experts. I am not local, started the road trip from Portland to Los Angeles. First, I took the car to other place in town, and they were not able to check VW, recommended me to go to this Auto Experts. I cant describe how much they helped us. They are honest, sincere, and very generous. I am so thankful that I took my car here. Situation was so bad that I really wanted to just cry, overwhelmed, and his staff and Joe helped me with there honest advise. They helped us for hours, and didnt even charge us. Joe even gave us a ride to airport as our car was not drivable. Just amazing. If I were local here, I would not go any other place but here. Strongly recommended. You can totally trust them. I think 5 stars is too little, I would give 10!

My son went to different shop in Redmond twice. They melted his bumper and said the couldnt get it to mount correctly(exhaust). Then they told him they could put his new headers on for him. They had my sons car for 8 hours then called and told him they didnt have the right parts. Then a week later his car went haywire. We decided to take it to Auto Experts. I dont know all the mechanical lingo but there was quite a bit wrong. It took them less than 24 hours to fix it. The next week they installed his headers. They are all very personalble. Very reasonable. Would recommend to anyone

I recently took my car to them for what I thought would be a full tune up. They checked and called me back saying all I needed was replace my spark plugs. The total bill came to 135.dollars not 250 or more this is truly a fair and reasonable repair job . I recommend Auto Experts and will be back again for a repairs needed.

Great bunch of people who know their stuff or will find out. Especially on my jeep that has most all aftermarket parts where they have to look up everything taking a lot more work but they find what they need and do the work.

Our 2002 Trailblazer was running rough. I changed the spark plugs and that didnt cure it. I took it to Joe and his crew and they found it had a dead coil pack. They recommended an engine flush and injector cleaning, also. I had them service the engine and transmission while they had the car. It runs like it did when we first got it, now. They were right on the money with their quote. They got the job done on time and on budget. They also noted some things that will need attention in the future. We couldnt be happier. I highly recommend Joe and the crew at Auto Experts. (Having been a vehicle mechanic myself for years, I am quite impressed with Joe & his crews knowledge, professionalism, honesty and caring attitude)

I was convinced my transmission had a crack in it. So I took it to Joe and he gave me a bid for a new transmission upon further inspection the transmission was fine and he only did what was needed. He is very honest and could have made 4K more off of me but showed true integrity.

Take your vehicle here! I dont know how else to phrase it. It is so rare to find a mechanic shop run by a guy like Joe. He does things the right way and he does them transparently and honestly. I am not from Redmond, Oregon or anywhere close to Redmond, but my car had troubles as I was passing through Redmond. I took my car here based on the shops good Google reviews and I am so glad I did. I showed up at closing time. All the staff was still very busy not done with the days tasks. Joe helped me and was very kind and patient despite being at the end of the day. I explained my situation. I was so vulnerable. I was in a bind. I had no choice but to fix my car. I was from out of town, so I would not be a return customer. I did not have the time or the ability to check with other mechanic shops. Bottom line: I was the mechanics dream customer to take advantage of. However, the opposite happened at this shop. I have been taking vehicles to mechanics for 20 years, many times to people I have had good relationships with. Nobody has ever treated me as well and with as much kindness as Joe did here in Redmond. Competence, honesty, and fairness is what Joe runs his shop with. If you dont take your vehicle to him after reading this then I dont no what else to say. I will likely never be in Redmond again, but for anybody who is ever in Redmond, pay this shop a visit. You will be taken care of.

If I could give 6 stars, I would!My transmission went out 3 hours from home and I was towed to the nearest auto repair shop which happened to be Auto Experts in Redmond. I left my car there on a Sunday and left a voicemail explaining my situation. I got a call that Sunday from the owner Joe (on his day off) who told me he would check out the situation first thing on Monday. I overnighted my keys in the mail from back home and they called the next day to say that the keys had not been delivered yet. Joe went so far to go to the post office to get them himself since I hadnt mailed them to the proper PO Box. He kept in constant communication and what I figured would be a thousands of dollars issue turned out to only be a hundreds of dollars issue. Joe ordered the damaged parts for me and completed the repair in great time and with great communication. I was able to pay and do everything on the phone without ever meeting anyone that worked here. What amazing customer service! Would consider driving all the way to Redmond just to have my car fixed again. Thanks Joe and team!!! Youre a life saver!

Joe, Cory and the rest of the crew at Auto Experts continue to provide exceptional service even when we are out of the state! Cory went as far as calling a colleague in Mesa Arizona to ensure we found a repair shop. Joe is always willing to go above and beyond when he works on our classic cars. (1967 GTO & 1967 Camaro.) The star of the show was a conversation done on a 1987 Suzuki Samurai going from a 60 horse to a 185 horse with new suspension. We are always happy with the work he does for us.

Have had to transmissions rebuilt. Work well no issues. Also had a transfer case rebuilt. Good service. Had all 3 rigs back within 8 days.

Saved me from a total car shut down which ended up being a dead battery causing the dashboard to light up. Did other tests and greased some wiring. Very professional and quick; got me in and out within the afternoon. Got back to canada in one piece and car still running fine. Thanks guys!!

Thieves! These guys charged me MORE to assess the problems with my car than another mechanic in Redmond charged me to re-assess, fix AND do a few other things to my car. They are absolutely not to be trusted. They told me I needed to replace things that the other mechanic easily repaired himself. No need for spendy parts or rebuilt kits. I will never take my car here again. HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!!

We had a big job and it seemed like no one was willing to estimate for us. Auto Experts provided a timely quote and did the whole big job within days- and within the estimate. Very professional and friendly people to work with ! We’ll be back.

Took my car in to have the transmission checked they told me I need a full rebuild and it wasnt worth the value of the car that they recommend that I put it out to pasture after they said that they charged me a 110.00 dollars for 30 minutes worth of work just to check it out and even wrote a nice little insult on the mechanics report that said Joe who is a mechanic there said that he doesnt want to work on this rolling garbage can so not only did I pay money just for a check out I was also insulted

The exhaust pipe was heating bike tires on my bike rack to the point of popping. I took the car to Auto Experts and the fashioned an extension to redirect the heat/exhaust away from the tires for $20 bucks and sent me on my way in less than 30 minutes. The thing is easily removed/installed is custom fitted and works like a charm!

Great customer service. I am on a firefighting team that was staging in Redmond. My personal vehicle was in need of emergency brake repair, and even though they were busy they got me in and replaced the front rotors on my 2002 Subaru within an hour. I cant thank them enough.

We broke down today east of Redmond, and we called Auto Experts due to their great reviews, and they were just wonderful - they stayed long after time to go home just to make sure we were back on the road, and replaced a broken distributor for us. They even took the truck for a test run to make sure it was working right before we left. We could not be happier with their service and would highly recommend them!

I had my F350 Powerstroke towed into Auto Experts after a local oil lube drive thru destroyed my engine after having a oil change done. I hadnt ever been to Auto Experts before, but after talking to Joe, Brent and Jarred I felt like my truck was in good hands. After the other shops insurance finally agreed to pay all the repairs everything went great. Joe ordered another engine and the work began. I was amazed at the work Jarred did when swapping the engines. He even took pictures at different stages to show me what had been done. I would recommend Auto Experts for there honest and excellent work. My truck runs great.Thank You Very Much!!!

First of all we are new to the area and did not have a repair shop that we could take our car to so I started checking different shops and reading reviews. I am old school and I have always had problems with dealership places because there is no personal contact so I have always looked to the small independent shops. I found Auto Expert and started going over reviews and I told my wife this seems to be what are looking for. I called Joe and set up a time to get a brake job. After I got in there they started checking my brakes and advised me did not need a full brake job just a clean up of pads and rotors and this was music to my ears as we are on a fixed budget and I now for a fact that there are place that would have just did the whole job and would not care about my budget. If you want the best job and best price call Joe and set up a time to get done what is needed and its done with care and respect. I now consider Joe and his staff friends and I will not be taking my car to any other shop.

Came in today to get some paperwork out of my company vehicle and was so impressed with Corys customer service, that im dropping off my SWEET 1990 cutlass ciera in the am for a transmission service. Auto Experts will definitely have all my business, look for more referrals to come from me.

Ive used these guys for the last 8 or 9 years, and I wouldnt trust anyone else to work on my rigs. Theyre always honest and fair, and I can count on them to give me good advice, and not try to upsell me for stuff I dont need.Theyre the only ones I let touch my 1991 Grand Wagoneer, and I trust them so much, when I decided to drop a 392 Hemi in the Wagoneer, I had them do it. Theyre doing it now, and so far its been a great experience.If you dont know about these guys and you live in Central Oregon, youve found a hidden gem. This is the kind of shop that, once you find it, you never use another mechanic.

I was extremely pleased and impressed with the level of customer service we received and the quality of the repairs on our VW Jetta. We dropped by with a exhaust problem and Joe took the time to put it on the rack and found the problem. He made a great temporary repair and ordered the part. 4 days later, the repairs were completed to 100% and needless to say, we are very pleased.So Joe and his team get a 10 out of 10. I would highly recommend them and will use them again in the future when the need arises.Thanks JOE!

We were out of town and my daughters car had problems, friend told her to go here, they did a compression check and told her that she needs a whole NEW engine..We came back into town, took it to our guy Skip at Affordable Auto... one water pump and some gunk cleaned out of her radiator and she is back on the road, for one 10th of the price!!

Above and beyond!!We were traveling from Western Washington to eastern Oregon and then to central Oregon.Are Dodge truck started running really bad we thought we had gotten bad gas it would barely stay running thru small towns. My husband was trying to get it to Redmond Oregon close to where we were stayingWe didnt know any shops so we called Les Schwab to see if they could put on computer to see why engine light on. They said they could but they only worked on brakes and steering. They said call Joe at Auto Experts across the street.I talked to Jennifer and she asked some questions and said they could get it and check it. It was about 2:00 when we arrived. Talked to Joe and they got the truck in and on computer shortly after we arrivedNow the bad news it wasnt fuel or emission stuff it was the springs on the valves. Major jobThey could do the work it would take a couple days depending on partsOur dilemma going skiing with family lots of gear,3 dogs and 10 miles from kennel one direction and 10 miles to resort.Now what do we do? Cab? 3 dogs no rental car at airport? 3 dogsBefore i could even continue my thoughts. Jennifer and Joe said offered Jennifer to shuttle us around while Joe looked for partsJennifer brought us and 3 labs to kennel then to airport to get rental car.These two are exactly what customer service is all about .Truck runs great and i highly recommend Auto Experts for auto RepairThanks to you and the crew in back!!

Fixed right the first time

I was lucky enough to find this shop in Redmond from searching online for a mechanic that knew German cars. We took our car in and the team was very honest and clear with explanations, quotes and getting the job done in a timely manner. They made sugguestions on what we could do to prevent problems from occuring and have now given two of our vehicles an engine cleaning service that has proven to be of positive change in performance of thevehicles. I honestly dont know much about my cars nor will I ever, but I trust their staff with our vehicles. Planning on going back to them if we should ever need it (hopefully not!) again in the future.

Last year (2012) we were in Redmond during Memorial Day weekend to pull a 19 travel trailer we had just purchased back to Portland. Before we could leave for Portland the transmission on my 1996 F250 Powerstroke threw an error code. We were stressed because the holiday weekend meant lots of closed stores. Luckily we found Joe at AutoExperts...they were open!! Joe and his staff diagnosed the error code and then very thoroughly explained to us how they would be rebuilding the transmission. They were great. The truck drives strong and we highly recommend AutoExperts in Redmond Oregon. Thanks Joe!

At the end of elk season Id made plans to take my 5th wheel trailer to the dealer in Redmond for some minor warranty work. I live in Klamath Falls and was hunting near Burns. On the last day of the season, with rain and snow coming down on Hwy 20, my windshield wipers quit working. Nothing I could to do make them work. Long story, made it to Redmond RV park, happy to be there to take trailer in next day. On Monday did a Google search for auto places in Redmond to get wipers checked out. Called Auto Experts and Joe said bring it by. Oh, 2nd gear on transmission went missing after arriving in Redmond. Joe IDd wiper problem as pack rat damage, can now get home at least, except for 2nd gear. I knew that Id been hauling really close to max weight with my pickup. Joes showroom has new and used transmission parts around, obviously used for demonstrations. Bottom line, Joe so impressed me with his operations and knowledge that I asked him to rebuild transmission in pickup. Was finally able to bring the toy hauler home this week, b/c of weather, and the pickup wipers and transmission worked flawlessly. I could not have asked for anything more and will use their services whenever possible.Continue to Google+
