My husband and I had our vehicle inspected for a potential buyer and this shop listened to a very common sound in our specific vehicle and diagnosed it as needing a new timing chain. Upon receiving our truck back we inspected the areas in which they were supposedly working and they were completely undisturbed. It’s kind of common sense that if you’re moving things around the dirt will be rubbed off in spots, however the normal dirt build up from 80,000 miles was still intact. This shop proved their dishonest reputation. They didn’t want to answer questions and were very short and rude. Poor mechanical skills and horrible customer service. 10/10 do not recommend.

Professional and reasonably priced services, this is the second time Ive taken a vehicle to this shop. Friendly staff, thorough inspection trying to troubleshoot an issue, very satisfied with the outcome.

Very friendly and professional staff. Trent and rest of the staff was quick to get the tires I needed for my Jeep and was even quicker to get them installed. Prices were amongst the best when looking around town. Will definitely go there for future auto needs and highly recommend you checking them out.

I drove from Bend and went in for an alignment on my Jeep Wrangler. When I came back to pick it up, Amber informed me that my power steering box needed to be replaced ASAP because of a leak. I did just that: paid full price, and replaced my power steering box. I called this morning and Amber laughed as she told me that I need to have an alignment after having the power steering box replaced. I asked why they did the alignment, knowing the psb needed to be replaced, and knowing I would come back within weeks needing a new alignment. Her response was I need a full alignment at full cost. Why didn’t you call me the moment you saw the leak, before proceeding? THEY ARE OUT TO SCAM YOU INTO COMING BACK AT FULL PRICE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE USE THIS SHOP OR TRUST THEM.

Having a trustworthy and capable auto mechanic is one of the most valuable things a car owner can have. We have been customers of Trents since he was at Subaru, then luckily happened upon him in Redmond. We have been coming to Redmond Auto Service for so long it feels like family. We have referred many, many people and will continue to do so.

These guys love a good price gouging, if you are a single lady or just someone who doesnt know much about cars, you are in for an absolute price gouging treat with these guys. Its like a hybrid between your worst Les Schwab experience you ever had and just your standard up sell of going to Oil Can Henrys all in one location.

(SEE BELOW. Edited after initial service, bc of owners response) These guys blatantly lied to me about the cost of repair. I called it to get an estimate for replacing an oil pressure sending unit, the gentlemen told me $85, parts and labor, so I made an appointment. After dropping off my car they call me and tell me it will be $168 for the work they need to do, I agree to this. When I come pick up my car they give me a bill for $221. The dishonesty about the price is why I am leaving a bad review, if I was simply told the actual amount I would be charged before coming to pick up the car, this review would be better. I do not recommend this place and will not be returning.FOLLOW UP (after initial service):After arriving home with my car, I noticed there was still oil leaking. I thought nothing of this as the people at the shop told me they had done a dye test to determine where the leak was coming from (makes sense). They told me to drive the car for a couple hundred miles and bring it back so they could determine the results of the dye test. Well, of course, after my initial frustration with the cost (see above) I had already decided I wasnt going back. I drove the car for about 200 miles over the next week. After that, I made an appointment with another shop in town (Oscars - would highly recommend). The new shop checked for the dye and told there was definitely a leak. And it was coming from....the oil pressure sending unit. I pressed them and asked them to make sure there were no other leaks. They confirmed. This was the part the Redmond Auto Service supposedly replaced during my initial service!!! I paid the new shop for the diag and brought my car back into Redmond auto service so they could fix the faulty part they installed. Now, Im a reasonable person, I know parts can fail. But after some thought it dawned on me: the part that Redmond auto service replaced was showing to be faulty immediately after the service! To me, this meant one of two things: 1) They did not install the new part properly and are therefore not qualified to do their job or 2) they did not install a new part at all and were using this opportunity to squeeze as much money out of me as possible. After bringing the car back to Redmond auto service they replaced the part I initially asked them to replace and the leak was gone! So, when all was said and done, if they had just done what I asked them to do, this would have all been avoided. Please do not use this shop for service, there are better, more honest, ones in town.

These guys should change their name to Tire Price Gougers of Redmond. it would suit them much better and give a feel of transparency about how they work.

They charge a very high price and do a poor job. I asked for a tune up and they didnt install both valve cover gaskets correctly. Both the front and rear valve cover gaskets were faulty and leaked and when I replaced them myself they were clearly put in incorrectly and were out of position causing a oil leak. I dont have any mechanical experience except high school auto shop and a basic tool set and was able to replace both. This place is very expensive and I was dissapointed when they couldnt even do a tune up correctly. I would not go here for anything other than tires.

Offer early morning drop offs. Service was quick and a fair price for a 4-wheel alignment. They provided a print out and went over what they adjusted and why my car had been pulling. Prestine lobby and friendly employees.

To be fair, this comment is not on their work with vehicles. I wanted to see how theyd do on something small. I called to have an oil change done on my VW. The first person I talked to was friendly and said while they do not work on European automobiles, they could do an oil change. When I called two days later, a woman flatly stated that they did not work on Euro autos. I explained that it was just an oil change and that the other employee had already explained that they didnt work on the mechanical aspect. She snapped, Well he was fully wrong on that. We do NOT work on European automobiles. End of conversation. I replied, Uuh, OK. Thanks. Click.That was enough to make me severely question whether I should spend what was likely to be several thousand dollars on my Landcruiser vehicle with them.

I am biased because I work here. We strive for quality work and pay attention to detail. I know that a car has to be repaired systematically and quickly. I thank all of our customers for their patronage.

Trent and his team are always super helpful. It doesnt matter if I need new tires or have a problem with an existing tire or issue with my car. They always fix the problem in a timely manner to get me back on the road safely. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My daughters 2002 Honda Civic overheated on the way through the mountains from Minnesota. Folks at Redmond Auto were so nice to her and were able to quickly diagnose the suspected issue (head gasket) so that she could get back on her way home (in a rental car). The car was not worth much so we needed the official diagnoses for AAA trip interruption purposes and they were very good about squeezing her in even though they were very busy.

These folks are honest, and do a great job. They used to have a pick up and delivery service when I was there last. I drive over to them from Portland and I have a few friends that do as well. Their shop is clean,I notice that they continue to grow while others arent doing so well. Pretty sure its due to their customer service.

A Great Tire company that is also a full service facility. Personnel from office to shop are all top notch and honest. (Pretty hard to find these days!) A company you can have confidence in. And did I mention a clean bathroom, complimentary coffee, tea, and ice cream? A great place to do business.

After trying to diagnose what I thought was a fuel system issue on my pickup on my own, Redmond Auto Service successfully narrowed it down to an electrical issue - my computer unit was shorting our. Was driving through town on our way to California for my wife and my honeymoon, we had just got new wheels and tires on our truck before we left Idaho. Passed this shop to see if they could re-torque the lugs. They did it right then and there, for free. The building was very nice and clean. I noticed they have toys for kids to play with while waiting as well. The staff was also very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place from my experience.

Had a 2012 Subaru Forester that had partial engine failure at 39k miles. Redmond Auto Service pulled the engine, and their machine shop reworked the cylinder heads and put in new camshaft, valves, springs and valve covers. They put it all back together with precision. Excellent work with Subarus.

Did a great job on my alignment. Just lifted my Cherokee and replaced tons of stuff so I wanted to take my Jeep to a shop thats experienced with lifted vehicles

$200 more than Les Schwab for the same front end alignment.I used to be an ase-certified mechanic so I was very specific about the work in my truck needed and I was quoted $92. Hours after dropping my truck off I got a call explaining to me that my truck needed the very work that I asked for and that the price would be $365. So I had to borrow a bicycle to ride across town to get my truck and then bring it to Les Schwab and got the work done for $165.They charged me $24 just to put the truck on the rack and then put it back in the parking lot.

My family has been taking their 2011 Subaru Impreza to this store for some time. This store is always honest, respectful, responsive, and well priced. There was a minor issue with the rear windshield wiper and the man fixed it for free on the spot and didnt charge a penny for it.If you are looking for a trustworthy auto shop, please look no further. LOANER CAR. They have a loaner car! For FREE!!! Not many places around central Oregon have one, and its an absolute life saver.On top of offering a few Subarus to get around while your wheels are in the shop, their pricing seems fair if not inexpensive, and the customer service is a whole order of magnitude better than I could have expected. I live in Bend but actually take my car into Redmond because the service is worth the drive.

RAS has worked on several of our cars. We live out of town and schedule our maintenance for when we are in the area. They are qualified professionals that make everything so easy that you dont even want to do simple oil changes yourself. Their prices are fair, service is fast. they are an honest & trustworthy family owned shop.I highly recommend

This little auto shop really impressed me. I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates friendly, honest, and reliable auto service. They were willing to work with my rigid schedule to get me an appointment at my convenience. They went above and beyond the necessary to look at my car brakes when I had mentioned some issues and did not charge me for the brake check and even gave me a huge discount on my tire rotation! The service was fast, the staff was very friendly and explained what was occurring in terms I could understand. I dont leave reviews often but Im thrilled to have found my new auto shop!

Im an ex auto shop owner so I might have had higher than normal expectations. Our 1991 Geo Storm had only 91,000 miles but Trent was quick to check obvious issues of overheating and immediately had Casey quote a head gasket replacement which was my diagnosis also. I knew there would be more to it once the head was removed and so the valve job was quoted as additional work though done at the machine shop Trent over saw the work done as if he did it himself. The price was competitive but the work done was exceptional. Trent paid attention to detail and made sure nothing was missed. Their website leads with the definition of integrity. Integrity is exactly how I would define the service you get at RAS. Weve since been back with three other family vehicles and several referrals and have even linked their website with ours.Sure there are a lot of shops in town and none have bad reputations as far as we know but it’s the integrity that shows when you visit Redmond Auto Service that keeps us coming back.Great Job you guys! My truck developed a coolant leak upon closer inspection I decided it was my water pump, so I called NAPA to get the price of a new pump,2 options with the best pump being $69.99, I decided to take it to Redmond Auto Pro’s and ask them to do the job, they was going to charge me?110.00 for the water pump I asked why so much, and that I had checked with NAPA, and the guy didn’t really have an explanation for the higher price, I asked if their water pump is a better quality and he said “no it’s the same”, so I left to take my business elsewhere, quess what? The total price with a competitor is $275, compared to Redmond Auto Pros at $500.00.same quality work and parts at about 1/2 the price. Sad but trueRoger

A few years ago, they took good care of my mom (rather than taking advantage). Then, they masterfully cared for my Suzuki project and even pressed the manufacturer of a radiator that went bad after only 18mos of use. They are a bit more expensive hourly than my other mechanic but most of the time I choose them because they diagnose things quickly and accurately with very few return-after-repair visits (super frustrating when a problem is fixed only to have to return because what was fixed wasnt the actual problem). They are professional. They listen. They communicate clearly.

I thought they were a pretty good service... At firsf. But they didnt check clearances on a new set of tires with different tread they put on my rig. And a year later after i realized the front tire had a deep grove on the inside from rubbing on the upper control arm. Trent, the owner, refused to believe it was their fault and therefore would not replace the 2 front tires at no cost. They only have 7000 miles on them.

Called for a price on installing shocks, they dont install parts supplied by the customer. Was given a quote of 750. My parts were 200. No wonder they want you to buy their parts, its only triple the price of you buying them. No thanks.

Newly job transferred from New Hampshire to Bend-Redmond area and came to RAS, with an appt, for an oil change/general inspection on my 2018 Nissan Frontier, based on a referral from a co-worker. AJ greeted me at the service desk and immediately inspired confidence thru his friendly, sincere, and professional demeanor. We reviewed my service needs and I was directed to their modern and comfortable waiting area. After about 40 minutes, I received a text message with a link to a site that displayed a complete diagnostic review of my trucks systems and conditions. I was quite impressed by this use of technology and the apparent thoroughness of their inspection. AJ then came over to inform me that everything was set and I was good to go. My invoice reflected only what I had requested with zero attempts to sell me anything additional. I use synthetic oil and my final cost was significantly lower than what Id paid back in NH, where I was typically told I also needed a new air or cabin filter and new wiper blades. No doubt I will continue to call on RAS for all my vehicle service needs. Thank you!

I have been taking our family cars to RAS since Trent opened his doors and it was just him there. I believe there is not more honest repair shop in Central Oregon than RAS. I have never had to worry about what they say is wrong or worry about what they charge. As for the bad review ignore it because they are ignorant and have never had customers trust them like Trent and his crews customers do Id recommend Trent and his crew to everyone I know!!!!

We started taking our vehicles to RAS several years ago. We knew the owners and figured lets support small & local business. We were not disappointed. Weve gotten to the point where we take a car in and say, I know this is wrong, but if you see anything else that needs done, let us know. I have been thrilled when I get a phone call, Hey, we were looking over your car, noticed the oil is due for a change and you mentioned you were headed on a road trip, want us to take care of that while we are fixing x,y,z? Um, yes please! Thank you for saving me an extra trip! Its a relief to have people I trust take care of my vehicles and notice the little things that need done and I forget.

Been using RAS for years and love them. They work on all my vehicles, but especially my classic cars. Keep everything in top running shape. As for the person that left the bad review. Maybe that hateful tone you project might have something to do with the reason customers and employees have moved on? Written words tell just as much about a person as spoken ones do.
