I had to ask 3 times for someone to come and help me out. When the employee who worked in the department I was shopping in had finally appeared, I was told that the product I was looking for was more than likely out of stock and it was. She was very nice though.

Well, Best Buy seems to have set up their phone system now so that a friendly robot voice does everything it can to prevent you from talking to a person if possible. I just wanted to ask a quick question about the recycling program that wasnt clear on the website. Even lying to get tech support put me in a 22 minute queue. How expensive is it to just let you talk to a general store employee for a minute? Im not sure if this is the Reno Store specifically, might be a corporate-wide decision. If theres a better place to leave feedback for Best Buy than this stores page, let me know.
Selection is OK. Allowed printer return with no problems. Poor headphone selection for secure earbuds. The skullcandy push active wasnt in stock.
Although staff is friendly, the prices are high and the geek squad fees are way inflated. I bought a flat-screen TV. The wall mount install is a separate $199 which is fine but when the geek squad came for the install they charged an additional $99 because it was installed above a fire place. But they didnt do anything extra and no extra hardware used.
Best Buy has always been my go to for all things electronic. During Covid the inventory was a little low but things are coming back. Some of the staff are top notch while others need to learn about the services and products. It isnt good that I know more than the person helping me. Geek Squad rocks!

Good service, competent employees.Traded in my iPad and got $100 credit towards a new one.They were able to wipe my old one clean and all of my data transferred seamlessly onto my new one. Whew that was awesome TY.
It’s laughably childish, yet amusing that when you call this location, they say they are no longer accepting phone calls from customers at this location and tell you to call their National Call center, where you are put into the automated voice assistant call loop and sent to a call center in India. It’s akin to the level of service you get from the VA. A guess this is where Best Buy stands now as a business. Just wow! Guess the new business model here is “If we don’t answer the phone, maybe the customer will just go away.” Good thing I sold my shares of Best Buy stock last year. Sad…

I went back to Best buy where I bought my tablet. My tablet was not working properly. It kept saying no you are able to open app. They wanted to charge me $40 and they would not listen to me at all when I tried to tell them you need to go into settings I know that its in settings. They wouldnt listen to me your geek squad just ignored me unless I paid the $40 I demanded to talk to the manager he could not fix it he wanted me to spend $40. I came home and I got the number for the company that makes the tablet. They told me go into settings click on apps. Click on the three dots hit reset in less than 2 minutes I was back up and running. But Best buy wanted the $40 which Im glad I did not give them it was a very easy fix
The staff are always extremely helpful and kind. The store is also pretty easy to navigate as long as you pay attention. The prices are a bit expensive but depending on what you get it can be extremely worth it.
Excellent customer service. If you have a question, theyll answer it and help you out all they can. Prices are decent too. If something you need is out of stock, theyll order it for you, right there on the spot.
I live to shop. And I love best buy. Yoy can get everything from x box play station. To stereo equipment. The staff is readily available and very friendly. You can get a cell phone or a computer. And if your not tech. Savvy they got you covered with geek squad. Over all I give them 2 and a half thumbs up a Z twist and a bag of bagels on the side.

I needed an item and ordered online. Got a call saying sorry, the item wasnt really in stock I appreciated (1) the call and (2) that the employee went to the shelf to check on if an alternate item was available. And, I was thrilled when they said that the item would be waiting and the credit for the price difference would be handled by the time we got there. But, it wasnt. So, that was a negative. But the clearly new employee was polite, and did all for help to find the item and fix the problem.

I took pictures of my cables and my set up and my monitors. I took my laptop with me. I needed a docking station and monitor cables. 3 trips later because they kept giving me the wrong stuff. .uggh. i inderstand, like everyone else they are short staffed, but you have to be lucky enough to get someone that really knows what they are doing. Decent selection and friendly.
Bestbuy is the best tech and appliance stop, for anything you need. Every time I need anything from tech to any type of appliance, I always look into Bestbuy first, as I went to pick up an LG microwave 1.5 cu. Ft. NeoChef. So far my wife and I are loving it is really nice and heats up pretty good. And if you forget that you have something heating there it lets you know with a sound thats loud enough to hear it till u open the door. I would recommend these microwave good price too.

Used to shop there but found out that they charge 2-3 times more than other stores for the same thing. Took the same product in with the Receipt and showed them everything was the same but Best buy changes more. Talked to the manager and the reply was is that there stuff was better. Shady sales guy. Tried to not get me to buy the Alienware gaming laptop. Talked down on the company and told me incorrect Information about how Dell bought Alienware a year ago and theyve owned Alienware since 2006. Pretty sure thats more than a year ago but whatever. The laptop is amazing and Im 100% sure this guy was trying to save the laptop for himself. We bought a smart watch here about a month ago too, its been awesome.

Very helpful staff. Immediately knew what I needed and took me over to show me my options. When they werent sure they knew the answer to my question they googled it for me and helped me figure it out.
It was a little hard to find some help but to be fair they seemed pretty busy. I couldnt find what I was looking for but again not totally their fault. Once I was able to find help he was informative and answered all of my questions.
A couple years ago, I brought in an old printer to Best Buy. In the past, they would take old computers, TVs and printers for recycle. Best Buy charged me $25. Today, I called around and Staples is willing to accept and recycle my old printer. Going forward, I will shop Staples first. And, I will shop best buy only if there is no other alternative.
The employees will go out of their way to not help you and when they finally do it is such an inconvenience for them. After all of that dont forget the cashier will also be rude to you before you leave.
I went in looking for a adapter cords for a projector and was given a much easier and less expensive product that will do everything I wanted and more. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! I was very impressed.

Best Buy is always great and helpful. Got a nice monitor that was from an open box sale a few months ago thats still working great. And this last visit i did curbside and had a keyboard and mousepad brought out to me. Both exactly what I ordered and brought outside to my car very quickly.Employee was also very chill. 10/10 would curbside with him again.
I stood in the laptop section for 15 minutes with no help. I asked a guy up front to send someone to help, it took another 15 minutes for someone to arrive. They had one employee working the entire computer department. He had to help customers one at a time and so I stood around waiting for 30 minutes to buy a laptop.

The Geek squad is great. They removed scammers from my computer who had placed a password that stopped my getting into the computer. They did it a lot quicker than they promised.

I ordered an in store pickup because they had the product I wanted. Hours later, and they didnt have it ready.Maybe I dont know exactly what process they have to get a single item, but the fact that it takes hours is extremely poor service.
I was passing through Reno on my way to California I needed a charger for my camera. The workers specially the supposedly greeter was very rude practically yelling and fricking out because I didn’t have a mask on she kept telling me that nobody was going to assist me if I didn’t put one on. She really could have been a little nicer about it. I really don’t have a problem putting a mask on if people is a little nicer.

On may 8th 2021 My mother and i went into my local best buy for a look at choices for a new T.V and to use the restroom. When my mother left the restroom she was stopped by an associate named Ray with a tattoo on his forearm who told her “Just so you know we found ‘open’ packaging in the restroom and if you stole when you leave the store RPD will be on the way” when we asked him to explain he briefly walked away and we were followed by multiple associates. what started a nice shopping experience quickly turned into a discriminatory disaster. I no longer want to go into Best buy and from now on be going to another electronics store
Had an itch to buy the latest gadget and was visiting from out of town. Closed at 7pm?! Every Best Buy I have been to is open until at least 8pm. Onwards to Amazon I suppose.

Had a very frustrating experience here. Initially went to the Sparks location to get a small appliance and was told Reno has it. Drove all the way here, was told to go seek help from Jesus to get what we need. Jesus just brushed us off and didnt help us. After all the frustration, Ray helped us out and got us what we need. Ray was very helpful unlike Jesus.
I usually save money buying stuff at Best Buy. I always feel like I could have done better though. As an old techie, the challenge always seems to be knowledgeable sales people. Im not sure that anyone has them anymore.
Service was okay once I found some help, but we had to wait. Then, we learned that none of the display items that we were interested in were actually available for sale. There ought to at least be something on the floor indicating what items need to be ordered and arent actually in the store. It feels almost like a bait and switch.

I don’t do many reviews but I was so very happy with my visit last night. Christmas is usually the worst time of year for shopping. It was a nightmare in there. Customers were fighting over attention and employees seemed at their breaking point. I spoke with three different employees that would say “let me find keys” and never return. My mother stopped a good looking guy in a Button up Santa sweater. He had such a great attitude and patience. He searched the store and checked four different cages that they keep back up laptops etc.. He spent 25 minutes tracking down two of the laptops that I wanted to purchase. He never gave up and I have never left Best Buy happier. I’m only sad his name was not on my receipt. He deserves a raise and the world needs more employees like him.

Bought a laptop and Russell was very helpful and patient with me.
We bought a dryer from Best Buy last week. It was an open box dryer. We were offered no warranty or anything. When we asked, we were told we had 14 days to return it. We got it home and found the lint filter full of lint. Our first load came out dry, yet the next load came out damp. Today we returned the dryer to Best Buy. At first they didnt want to allow us to return it. After speaking to a manager, the dryer was returned and our money was refunded. We asked about buying a replacement dryer, we were told there were none available. We eventually found a dryer at another location. We wont be returning to this store
Service is good and the curbside pickup is a great option during the pandemic. Just be aware that if you receive something via Curbside you probably wont be able to return it back on same day. It happened with me, after 20 min wait they asked me to return on the next day.

First time going into Best Buy-Reno as being a new resident to the area with intentions of purchasing 2 laptops and a printer for our at home schooling. Walked around for about 15 mins and no one ABSOLUTELY NO ONE approached me. Funny thing is everyone around me was being asked by associates if they needed help. Decided to leave and as I was walking out, a group of employees were standing at the door & one happened to be the store manager. I let her know that all associates should address every customer and briefly explained my experience. She smiled, apologized and said she was going to speak to them right now as this was not acceptable. But instead she continue to stand at the door. I noticed this because as I drove by leaving the parking lot I noticed she was still standing there conversing with the other employees. Guess this store is not interested in paying customers. First impressions are everything and my first impression lead me to share my experience and never refer anyone to this store or to purchase online. Sharing my experience with my co-workers & neighbors lead me to find out that I was not the only one with this type of experience. But hey, all they will say is were very sorry right. Just another dollar that will be spent somewhere else.
Everything was misplaced on shelves and what was on shelf was very limited. They were out if a lot of products
Got a 70 for $600 on an open box deal. Great location for discounted returns and open boxes.
Store was clean and orderly. Employees helpful. The worst part was the checkout line was 20+ deep and they had one lonely cashier working her butt off. All the while 4 employees stood at the front door security station and watched.

They are still not open for in store shopping which I understand but it is fairly inconvenient due to online order times vastly underestimating the actual time in which your order will be available for pickup. Online stated the order would be ready in an hour and in real time when I went to pick it up 3 hours later it was not ready. Likely corporate needs to adjust the offered speed to be more realistic to what this store can handle. No shade on the workers they were very nice and despite my order not being ready yet they got it together for me and had me out of there within 20+/- minutes.

Wow! Was I happy when I was told I didnt just have to buy a bunch of equipment to cut the cable because of a really good sales rep named Thomas I found that Best buy will send someone to my home to discuss my needs and suggest the proper equipment!
