I’m very new to biking, and I spontaneously walked into this shop just to ask a couple questions about maintenance on a bike that I had purchased on Facebook from someone nearby. I walked in with no knowledge, and Trish gave me the most amazing customer service. She told me what I needed to fix it up and keep it running. All great recommendations from tubes to a new bike lock. I ended up getting it serviced there and they were able to get it done fairly quickly. Trish even was kind enough to get me set up with my bike rack that I bought elsewhere so it would fit well on my car. After all that, this woman definitely deserves a raise!I myself work in customer service, and I am beyond floored by how amazing my experience was here. I cannot say enough good things!
These people care. Plain & simple. Im new to biking and they made me feel at home. Trish, David, Emma & the whole team had a smile and kind guidance the entire time I was there. Cant speak highly enough about a business who is local and big on customer care. Ill be back and would definitely recommend you check them out too.
Great local bike shop! These guys really know there stuff 😁 very helpful and they will be honest with the customer if a bike is just to big or small for you. They also have the best chi latte in town 😉All n all, they have really great customer service.COMMUNICATION; CUSTOMER SERVICE; And the Now-Right Now! Deliverance to the customer is why I’ll keep doing business with 🍊🤙🏻☝️
Great shop. They service all bikes. No frowns because you bought the bike online or somewhere else. They only stock Bottacchia road frames - the most iconic Italian road bike. So repairs is their business. Good luck!
I went in with plans to spend the money I needed to make my bike work for me. I ended up spending no money and had all my questions answered and they helped me adjust the bike to fit me with what I already had. I will absolutely be back. The willingness to sacrifice the sale to do whats best for the customer is rare. I will shop here in the future.
Love this place. The Owner and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Plus an added bonus is they have a coffee shop right inside.
I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere that I feel here. Great place to get a cup of excellent coffee. Support local.
On 1.20.2021, I purchased two Continental Gatorskin Black Edition Tires - 700 x 25 Clincher, Folding, Black tires from John at Orange Pedal. He had to order the tires because they were not in stock. He told me he was going to order 4 tires because they are popular tires. He charged me $60.00 per tire. When I got home, I checked the price online and found several websites selling the exact same tire for $30.00. I called John and explained what I found and told him I would pay $30.00 for each tire from him or I wanted a refund. He told me that he would refund my credit card. After a week, I checked with my credit card and there was no refund. On 1.28.2021, I called John back at the shop and he said he would take care of it and send me a text. On 1.29.2021, John sent me a text saying we cant get the card to charge back. Can I put it on your store account and hit you with a discount next time? I declined and told him I wanted a refund. He responded just come by and well get it squared away. I stopped by the shop that day and John was not there. The employee who was there said he didnt know how to refund credit cards. The Orange Pedal bike shop experience was disappointing at best. Being charged a bit more to support local is one thing, but being double charged on merchandise the shop is ordering online is not cool.I recommend you shop at a different bike shop.
Great shop with an Italian flair of bikes vintage and current, plus its a coffee shop Italian style
Quaint little locally owned store. Friendly and helpful staff.
My husband and I stopped by on Saturday to see if we could find some new bikes. While we were unable to get the bikes we were looking for, same day, John was absolutely wonderful and answered all of our many many questions. John helped us find a few bikes that meet the specifications that we are looking for, and helped us determine the right size bikes that we will need. He even took our number so that they can let us know when they have the bikes in stock.I cant wait to purchase our bikes through Orange Pedal Reno, and to go to them with our Reno bike needs!
Brought my daughters beach cruiser in to have tires and tubes replaced. The owner of the shop was excited to help and found what we needed. He was extremely appreciative that we came in and was over the top helpful. As he worked on switching out the old with the new he was extremely delightful on local information on biking and on current trends in biking e.g., (electric bikes). I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants the personal approach to having the great care and professionalism for bike repair.Thank you,Tom Taylor
Called and walked in for immediate flat tire repair. Professional, efficient and priced reasonably. Service on a holiday weekend - confirmed open seven days a week with major holidays not so much - definitely recommend!
Stopped by this bike shop for some new bike tubes. The staff was very friendly and helpful, had the tubes I was looking for, and a few adaptors I needed for the tubes as well. Ill be shopping here for any future bike needs I have.
I absolutely love this bike shop! They helped me out right away with my bike where very welcoming and nice and I got to enjoy delicious coffee while they put new tires on my bike. I dont think Ill ever use another shop in Reno! Keep up the good work!
Awesome coffee bar !
I had a great experience at orange pedal. Marty, who I think might be the owner went above and beyond to get my bike back on the trail while saving me a bunch of money. He stayed after hours to install the parts as well! He also is a cool guy to talk to in general! He definitely gained my future business!
Amazing phone service.
Polite and helpful, made great suggestions to help me save money getting back on a bike.
Dedicated bicycle guy!
I stop here every other day to grab my morning cup of coffee. Not only is the barista super amazing in his job but he also assures you are happy and you got what you wanted. The people here are super friendly and the place overall has a very welcoming vibe.
Awesome shop with reliable and excellent service. They don’t try and up sell you with stuff you don’t need. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
My experience was great they really helpt me out get me going on my gravel bike. Also they have great coffee must stop by and give it a try.
The coffee is fine, but the barista tipped herself after I had already signed.
I have been looking around at other places and online for bike shoes to try on my odd foot size, but didnt find any. Here they were so very helpful, friendly, attentive and knew what brand would be best for me. I am very happy with the beautiful shoes. The customer service was excellent - nice to have cappuccino close by too!
By far one of the most professional bicycle shops in the Reno Tahoe area. They are located next to the CVS on California street near Midtown. They have a great coffee bar inside as well. This a European style style pro shop that offers bike fittings and indoor training as well. They work on all type of bike with a high level of quality control. But if you have a high end bicycle this is certainly the place to go.
Showed up with four flat tires from goatheads and an hour later, they were all gone and new tubes installed. Thanks for the awesome job! Great staff that welcomed us and our dog in as we waited.
Orange Pedal is the best! Friendly owners, great mechanics and a coffee bar to boot!
Awesome place! Outstanding bike service. The shop is a great environment and vibe. AND has the BEST espresso! Reasonable prices, Ryan is super cool. Best bike shop in Reno.
Fantastic bike shop!Knowledgeable staff, phenomenal customer service, and awesome atmosphere. The shop has a very inviting setup, and everyone inside was friendly. They helped to set me up with the Haro Subvert, and its turning out to be a great bike!!Excellent Experience Overall!!!
This is only an e-commerce review:I ordered a pair of socks online from Orange Pedal. I live on the East Coast. After 6 weeks of not receiving them, I called them up. My information was taken, and would be passed to the owner. After another additional 10 days of no response, I call again. I was told they thought the order had been handled, and they would get right on it. I finally receive the order over 2 months later in the mail. I will say they did include a gift card and a free t-shirt for my troubles.A year goes by, I want another pair of socks. Figure Ill use my gift card they gave me. See the set I want online (says in stock), call the shop to place my order with the gift card, the socks are not in stock. They would have to order them from the company in Italy, and they take my info. No problem, as I dont need them right away. Two weeks go by, hear nothing from the shop, call back and speak to someone who is not aware of my situation and there arent any notes anywhere (dont expect them to be aware since Im sure there are a bunch of employees). Goes and checks on socks, still not in stock. Someone will be in touch. 2 weeks later, still havet heard from them, I call back and its the same story. I eventually order them from another site in the UK, and receive them 8 days later. I still havent heard back from Orange Pedal regarding the stock status of the socks and that was about 3.5 months ago.Needless to say I wont be going back to Orange Pedal. All of their online reviews seem to be great, so Im sure the shop itself is wonderful. Id just expect that same level of customer service to carry over to its online platform-- or dont then have an online presence at all. They were great in trying to make it up to me with the free shirt and gift card, but then dropped the ball again with my second order.
Left my ebike with Marty at Orange Pedal because the breaks were not breaking--eeek. After only a few days I was able to pick up my bike and wow!! What a difference. These guys are knowledgeable, professional, prompt, and friendly to boot! Bonus--they make a mean cup of Joe!
Kevin P just did a fantastic job of upgrading my rear cassette from an 11-28 to an 11-32, I also needed a new long arm derailleur and chain to accommodate the upgrade. Kevin did the service while I waited and Stefano served me a great coffee americano! These guys really enjoy what they do.
Although I did not buy a bicycle, the owner let me test ride a one while we rode in the neighborhood on a nice, warm day. I had the chance to see if the frame was a good fit and had plenty of chances to test out the brakes and derailleurs. After that, we looked at a catalog and he showed me upgrade options along with pricing.Thank you for your time and keep up your enthusiasm towards customers!
Great bike shop! Ordered a brand new Pinarello Gan RS from this local bike shop cheaper than I was finding online. Only took a few days to come in and was built that day. I brought in my old bike and Stefano and Michael matched the geometry and swapped over components I had upgraded on my old bike. I plan on taking it on the group rides Orange Pedal offers. Doesnt hurt to get your espresso fix pre-ride just like in Europe!
Was suppost to contact me when the haro mountain bikes came in and never did
Excellent local bike shop if youre in Reno. Friendly and professional. They cater to all types of cyclists. Lots of Italian bikes like Pinarello, but they have bikes for everyone. You can also get coffee here.If youre looking for a bike for Burning Man, ask them about it.
Knowledgeable & very helpful staff - plus coffee! Shout-out to Trish for taking a lot of time to troubleshoot & research my bike needs.
I came by at 9:35am not understanding that it was only coffee and browsing until 10 AM I had a great shopping experience kudos to the owners and thanks for letting me use your shop tools
They had what I needed in stock and they were super helpful and friendly.
In town for cx nats when we noticed an issue with gearing. Popped in unannounced and they took care of us immediately and were incredibly accommodating and nice. Excellent cappuccino, too!
My favorite local bike shop. Excellent service, expertise, and a cool vibe. Great espresso, too!
Who knew coffee ☕ at a bike shop could be this good :) definitely coming back
Coming to work here is the best job! I love helping people enjoy their riding experience.
Love these guysSuper chill vibe and extremely knowledgeable
Very reasonable prices, great service, and the were very nice and knowledgeable
Its not often you go into a bike shop and get this kind of service. Friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable, the staff helped me find just what I was looking for.
These guys are awesome! I chose to do a challenge called the Sufferfest Knighthood. Its an indoor cycling challenge for people who like pain. Ride 10 interval workouts in one go. It ends up being 8-12 hrs of intense interval rides. Pretty rough. These guys helped me through the first and 2nd attempt. Super generous and helpful people. They even helped me get all set up on a new bike for the 2nd attempt. I wouldnt have been able to do the challenge without them. On the 2nd attempt I was able to complete it and now Im a Knight of Sufferlandria.
Great customer service and happy people. Awesome #Bottecchia line. Great espresso.
Cool little Italian bike shop with great coffee. Whats not to love?
Always willing to help you out and with a good attitude. Plus the espresso there is on point.
Great local bike shop and coffee bar.
Staff were rude and talked down to me from there lifted bike seat of knowledge. Will never go back
Due to nationals their shop was a bit disorganized but none the less they were helpful and the coffee was good.
Great staff and great coffee
