Unfortunately I live in Commiefornia so I wasnt able to purchase anything, but I had a blast looking at all the up-to-date rifles and pistols that my state wont allow and had the opportunity to shoot a machine gun! I had an absolute blast and Ill forsure be looking forward to coming again with friends. Last thing, the staff here are very friendly and I enjoyed their company while in the store and inside the range 👍

BUYER BEWARE. In the smallest print possible, it is listed all sales are final and no returns … only in store credit. All items were unopened by myself (they were opened on-site buy an employee); however, regardless of package condition there is still no returns back to your credit card.

This is one of the nicest facilities that I have been to. Staff was incredibly responsive and helpful as soon as I walked through the door. After I finished shooting in the gun range, the worker actually talked to me about what is happening as I hold my gun based on my target and where I said the bullets were going.This would definitely be a place I would go back to and likely have a membership at if I lived in Reno. Also, very clean and organized.

This store and range has a small inventory but a large Care and Service policy for its customers. If they dont have the item you want, let them know and they will try and get it for you at a fair and competitive price. And when they say they will call you, they really do. The staff are knowledgeable, courteous, and always helpful. Its always clean and a pleasure to use their range. Everybody is made to feel welcome there. And, I trust them with the advice and guidance they have given me.

Went to Reno for a short weekend vacation, and stopped here on Sunday. I had a great experience here! Employees are super great and helpful when it comes to the whole process and choosing what you want to try out. They are also very helpful when you are inside the range, if anything jams you hardly have to look for help theyre out there when help is needed. Safety is defiantly their top priority, also making sure you have a good time!12/10 my overall experienceCant wait to come back to Reno and spend my money here again. I went in today I was contemplating if I should get the membership wasn’t sure exactly how everything works there. I went to the membership no one‘s there I grabbed one of their pamphlets I was reading it. Not one associate even when I was standing in the middle of the whole place ever came up to me to ask me if I needed any assistance. I watched them go to other customers and ask them if they needed assistance but never came to me. Extremely disappointing customer service

Staff is very friendly and informative. Range is very nice, clean, and safe. However as a reloader I wont be back. They do not allow you to collect your own brass. They do that because the take that brass, reload it,and sell it. In todays environment and the scarcity of resources that behavior is truly bad form.If you are not a reloader it is a great place to shoot.

These guys are the real deals, top quality customer service! I smiled joyfully as I fired my rented class 3 automatic weapon. Easy process to rent and will definitely recommend to everyone I know! True Americans at this place!

Im from England and not long moved here. Thus - handguns are new to me.Im trying to find the right gun for me, deciding through a range of 9mm carry options. The staff are very newbie friendly and knowledgeable, the range is great and relaxed but safe.While I was there I also got into a great conversation with another customer and a staff member about their carry weapons, which was most insightful.So after shooting several guns... Ive narrowed it down to either a Glock 19 or an FNS-9C?? Ill be back here soon to fire off a few more rounds before I make up my mind. Thank you guys at Reno Guns & Range!

They are very rude! I called & asked if they had 9ML ammo & they told me yes & I had asked them to hold a box for me & was told they had plenty. An hour after the phone call I drove all the way from Carson City & get there & be told they dont have anymore. When I mentioned that I called an hour ago & was told by Tyler that they had plenty was told Thats just how it goes. Thats one of the reasons I asked to have them hold a box for the reason of the ammo running out. Dont tell a potential customer that you have plenty of ammo when you dont. Also next time when a customer asks to have an item held, you should hold an item not tell the customer you have plenty.

Reviewing for CCW customer Ernesto Vega:After spending $541.31 on ammunition on September 18th, and another $541.31 on September 21st, I purchased a shotgun from a local auction. Reno Guns & Range held the shotgun for the auction house waiting for my pick up. When I went to pick up the firearm, Cody and sales manager Tyler demanded I pay for a background check and wait 2 days even though by Nevada state law a CCW holder is not required to do so. These 2 employees only requested the background check because I have a federal permanent resident card. A permanent resident card affords me the same rights as a US Citizen with the exception of voting rights. It was obvious these 2 employees profiled me and instead of following state and federal guidelines, decided to make up their own. I am a firearm collector and purchase several guns and spend hundreds of dollars on ammunition each year. Please be aware this business has a tendency to profile by race and fabricate gun regulations. Writing this review, I dont want anything from Reno Guns & Range. I just want to inform the public before doing business with them and to educate Cody and Tyler on the federal and state laws that supersede their poor judgement.

I went as a tourist and spent almost four hours here!! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and recommended quite a few options for me to test out. The ammo was priced well and I enjoyed every minute with the guys at the store. Even had a great chat with the local law enforcement that use the range as well. Will definitely go back when I’m in Reno again.

Ive been to many gun ranges over the years and I must say that Reno Guns & Range is the best by far. The facility is state of the art - immense, immaculate and very well laid out. I recently visited the range while on vacation with my wife and my 16 year old son. My son and I went into the shooting range while my wife looked on from a sofa in the viewing area. The range personnel were very friendly and helpful. They have an impressive assortment of firearms for rent at very reasonable prices. There is a range officer present at all times, which is a good thing, despite what another reviewer said. The range officer was polite and stood in the background and did not interfere with our shooting. The range is equipped with the latest computerized target retrieval system and the ventilation is the best I have ever experienced while shooting. The retail portion of the facility is amazing. They have literally hundreds of firearms (and accessories) for sale displayed in easy to view glass cases along the walls. I would highly recommend Reno Guns & Range to anyone who wants to experience shooting on a whole new level. I wish they had a similar facility where I live!

I decided to come here based on the reviews, and obviously they speak for themselves! Its been a decade since Ive held a gun and no one really showed me the fundamentals. I noticed they offer a variety of classes, so I decided to take the Intro to handguns class. James, our instructor was more than knowledgeable and made sure to answer any questions provided. James was very patient and understanding dealing with us newbs, he made me feel safe, comfortable and he made me laugh. The entire staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly!!! Thats a big plus in my book. Also not to mention how clean the facility was! Ill be back to take a home defense class and plan on getting my CCW. It is a well staffed, well lit, modern, clean facility with friendly people who really know firearms.They have an excellent selection of handguns, rifles and even fully automatic weapons that you can rent and shoot. What a great place. I was introduced here because I could rent. I have an issue buying before shooting and regret it later. Their rental inventory is online, everything I was considering buying they had. Really nice people too every one. I will say time your visit. We timed it so it was very quiet for us so great. I could see how this place could get crazy certain times of the week and suck a lot of the fun out of your shooting dealing with the crowds.

Outstanding range - state of the art - and excellent customer service.This range was everything that Big Shot wasnt on our first stop today. Customer service ensured that we had two lanes for two shooters - and next to each other - even though it was the peak time on their busiest day.The employees were knowledgeable, pleasant, and professional in appearance. Not the amped up Red Bull drinking guys who could pass for street thugs over at Big Shot who refused to give two shooters two lanes claiming thats the way everyone else does it.We were going to head out to the desert to shoot until we discovered Reno Guns and Range. Great indoor range. Prices are beyond reasonable. The staff were knowledgeable and courteous. Im glad we chose Reno Guns & Range to target practice and well will gladly recommend them. It was an absolute joy to see a family that held their teens birthday event there. The kids went through a lot of training, got to shoot a variety of weapons and left with million dollar smiles. My boyfriend and I are very experienced shooters and we decided to go here for the first time. WE ARE NEVER GOING BACK! The tall red-haired range safety officer needs to be fired! During our range experience the couple next to us clearly needed help and firearm safety training. The man had an improper grip on the gun, I was in the lane next door and had a very good view of what was happening. The poor guy ended up slicing his thumb with the slide and blood pored everywhere. I kept waiting for the range officer to step up and help them but he never did. I had to go up and tell the range officer to help them before they hurt themselves again! Rather than actually help this couple who were clearly beginners all he did was yell at them and lose his temper. Instead of explaining to them how to hold or even handle their firearms he just got upset at them for improperly holding their guns. This was very unprofessional and he is not a good teacher at all!After my boyfriend and I were finished shooting we began to pack our things to go. Our range bag was on the floor at our feet because the counter of the the lane was to small and cluttered. While I was putting my gun and some mags away in our range bag, the same range officer yelled at me for trying to put my gun away. I had already cleared the firearm, the slide was locked back, there was no mag in the gun, my finger was off the trigger and it was pointed at the ground. When he saw this he completely freaked out and lunged at me! This caused me to jump and tense up, with my firearm still in hand. Lucky it was empty otherwise it would have been a dangerous situation. He proceeded to yell that all firearms had to be put away on the counter in the lanes. Again this was my first time at this shooting range and I had no idea this was a rule.Whats even worse is what happened right after that! My boyfriend who, was turned around at the time of my harsh scolding, did not know that was a rule either. A few moments later he grabbed my firearm (which I had put back on the counter of the range lane due to being scared of trying to put it away again) and proceeded to put in away in the range bag which, again, was on the floor of our lane. AGAIN, the firearm was cleared, slide locked back, no mag in the gun, no finger on the trigger. The gun was even still being pointed down range! This time the range officer was hysterical! HE PHYSICALLY GRABBED THE GUN OUT OF MY BOYFRIENDS HAND AND SLAMMED IT ON THE COUNTER OF THE LANE!!!!!!! YOU NEVER JERK A FIREARM OUT OF SOMEONES HANDS!!!! Again, if the gun was loaded, this would have been extremely unsafe and dangerous for everyone there. This guy needs to learn come common sense, people skills, and safety, or be fired!

Place has a great selection of weapons and ammo. I dont use the range but the store is clean and laid out well. Staff are knowledgeable professional and helpful. Safe environment, Clean and professional setup, Friendly and knowledgeable people. First time there... it was very busy with a wait of 20 minutes before getting a lane in the 16 lane range. Computer controlled target frames with presets for 9, 21, 45, and 75 feet. I asked and you are allowed to shoot up to 12ga buck and slug. You can also shoot automatic weapons, and can rent them if youd like to give it a try while in the Reno area.They also sell a wide variety of pistols and long guns. Accessories are plenty, including safes, carry bags, ammo, and AR parts from multiple manufactures.Im not sure on the prices since our group had a person sign up for a membership, but they we nearly shot for free after they waved nearly all the fees. Just a real, great thing to do after someone signs up.I can strongly recommend this place if you or your group is looking for a fun time at a place that is clearly well managed and owners that care about their business.

My partner and I were in Reno, we dropped into this establishment to do something that we couldnt do in Australia.... Shoot pistols at a range. We turned up and at short notice Calvin took us both and gave us the best lesson in firearms training I have ever experienced.Double thumbs up for a great afternoon. Went in on a Sunday and the front counter was busy helping customers. Waited for a few minutes and they called next up. The guy didnt explain the rules on the range but its just like any other range, keep the gun pointed in a safe direction and finger off the trigger.We shot about 200 rounds and decided to leave because they kept shooting fully automatic rifles right next to us. The rifles are so loud youd think they would set them up in or on a different range because the sound level was out of control even with the best ears I own.

Great instructors. Good selection of pistols and rifles. Super clean and modern facility. We love it so much we purchased a one year VIP membership and have returned numerous times so all family members from 12 to 60 get involved.

We were in town to do some skiing up at Lake Tahoe and randomly stopped by while waiting for a buddy to arrive at the airport. Were from NYC so we dont get to do as much shooting as wed like. Upon walking in the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Especially with a bunch of amateurs. Moses ended up helping us, along with some other staff members that I didnt get the names of, and he was extremely professional, helpful and personable. Often times walking into a range without much prior experience leads to an uncomfortable situation with staff, not here. Moses and all of the staff made us feel very comfortable even as we asked ridiculous questions. Tried to go back before our flight out but they close at 7. Well see you guys next time were in town. I have been to several gun stores, large sporting good stores, looking at options for female friendly concealed carry. What I have found were a few purse options, but very minimal selection. Then I walked into Reno Guns. I found a selection of concealed carry options, including the belts I had seen on websites, but wanted to put my hands on before I purchased. An incredibly patient staff member spent a lot of time showing me several options and had to field my barrage of questions. The owner came out, chatted with me about how she carries. This is going to be a regular stop when we come to Reno, what a great spot for people interested in firearms.

Today, was our sons 16th birthday and he wanted to go shooting for this special day. Moses an instructor at Reno Guns & Range was awesome. He took the time to make sure our son had a great experience and showed him the safety needs for each weapon he shot. My son said, This is the best Birthday I have ever had. Thanks to Reno guns and Range and also Moses. Conner will never forget this day :)

Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Great weapons and accessories selection. However, I custom ordered a handgun, took about a month to get, when it arrived, it was the wrong model. I went ahead and purchased the weapon anyways. Love the gun. The staff told me I was getting a great deal but when I shopped around more, they had charged me $60 more than the other local shops were asking. I priced several different weapons since then and US Firearms has higher prices than the other shops in town.

Staff is very professional. Shop is well laid out and maintained. Range is extremely well kept, and they have a huge selection of rentals. The staff will make sure that you know how to use the weapon and instruct you on proper use before firing it. Prices were very good compared to other ranges in town. I will be going again.

Very clean, well maintained and up to date. Everyone there is super friendly and makes you comfortable with also making sure it is a safe environment. Their classes are ran very well and they have good instructors. I purchased a pistol through them as well and they were super helpful and efficient with it. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Where do I start? I have had decent amount of experience in different ranges ((CT, TX, IL (Chicago), California)). Nothing compares to this facility in amenities, resources, and great people. Specifically in ranges that I have been to (NOT including Reno guns and range), the employees in my mind come off hostile and not accommodating, the air filtration and lighting is sub-par, and the range ammo for rented guns is ridiculously priced. Basically, for a Chicago resident who is supportive of guns and into the hobby, this place is top notch and has everything you will need and want.I Live in Chicago with no car, so getting to gun ranges and buying ammo (cant buy in city limits and 5 cent tax per cartridge on all centerfire ammo) is a production and highly costly to say the least. So, When I am visiting my parents in Reno, I go to the range as much as I can. I decided to get a private lesson with Derek with my Dad. Absolutely phenomenal experience. Derek was only interested what my dad and I wanted to do, and not only did we cover those areas of interest, but he went over and beyond in techniques and recommendations. My dad only had about 5 hours of range time under his belt when Ive had about 20, Derek handled this private class exceptionally well for the difference in experience. From my impression, most the employees at this facility have backgrounds in law enforcement (Derek had about 25+) or military. I will personally not go to another range in this area. Cant wait for my next private lesson. Definitely requesting Derek next time.

I have purchased 3 guns from US Firearms Academy. They had no problem meeting the price of the other local shops. They are very knowledgeable with a staff made up of cops, ex-cops, and other firearms experts. All great guys and the shop of choice for all the local cops.A firearm purchase is a dead serious purchase. You need the right answer and not a guess from a minimum wage flunkie wholl tell you what you want to hear and really knows nothing about the guns hes selling.

Great facility, and even better staff. The guys are friendly, very courteous, yet still extremely professional.The range is great and modern. I especially like being able to fire half my mag at 7 yards, then tap the lane control panel, the target quickly slides back to 15 yards, and finish the clip.Highly recommend this place!

This is one of the most professional Gun Shops in Reno. They have a very knowledgeable staff and usually have the most BA guns out there. Tyler and John know their stuff and have helped me with several projects providing great advice along the way. This is the first place I check when searching for new gear. They also have the biggest selection of NFA items like suppressors and they make the paper work very easy for the newbie.

I friend and I traveled to Reno to attend an MMA event and shoot machine guns. Reno Guns & Range was the clear choice. This is a new building with mordern facilities. The people there are professional and courteous. They took there time to show us the selection of weapons. Sorry folks but we did create a bit of a back up in line. Thank you for waiting for the rookie range guys but it was our first time there. Sellers Beware! If you are a seller on consignment and your item has been sold and left the property it could take you up to a month to receive your funds. No matter how many calls or visits you make to get an update nearly everyone cannot give you an answer. I was told by a nameless staff member that if the firearm was purchased with a check they can pick it up without the check being cleared. If the check bounce then they would send the law enforcement to have that person(s) arrested. Is the the most stupidest thing you have ever heard. It took an outside rating agency logging a complaint to resolve the matter. I used to do business with them at the old location. Never again!

Wow, great range! Gun range has high tech equipment and is super clean, easy on and out. Overall, probably one of the best experiences Ive ever had at a gun range. Will be back.

Our experience at this range was great! The first time we visited the place was for our 8th anniversary My husband took Me there to finally get me to shoot a gun lol.I love the set up of the store the windows to see the shooters of course.This one employee went out of his way to help me shoot my first gun, I was so afraid! shout out to Moses! Also Kyle help me pick a gun that fit my hand is because of this two gentleman this place makes a difference. Im not giving 5 stars because the rest of the staff was neglectful or if talk to looked bothered.But we will be coming back because I like shooting now! Thank you Moses and Kyle.!

Nice clean facility if youre not a reloader great place to be. However unable to police my own brass was told had to leave it. When using a 50 cal Beowulf brass is too expensive to throw away.

My wife had a business conference in Reno so I was looking for something fun to do while she was in the sessions. RG&R was great! When you get there you need to spend several minutes at a kiosk checking in. I dont understand the negative reviews saying something wasnt explained, the range rules are clearly detailed on the screen and are prominently posted as well.The staff at the rental desk were friendly and efficient, as was the Range Safety Officer. I fired an MP 40 (Schmeisser) and a Sten Gun. I used the 6 magazines for the price of 5 deal to have three for each. There was a jamming issue with the MP 40 and after trying a couple of different mags, I was only able to put two magazines through and part of a 3rd. Rather than a too bad the RSO told me hed grab me another gun that was a lot of fun to shoot and a full magazine, so I got to fire a .223 Scorpion at no extra charge. Their concern was that I was satisfied and had a good time.Im an experienced shooter and didnt need more than basic familiarization, which was readily provided by the RSO, but the couple in the next lane seemed to be first timers and they had an additional RSO who came in and gave them plenty of help and encouragement.Go there and try a machine gun for your bucket list, itll be fun!
