Whoever is baking the muffins at this store, please be better. I feel like Robert Dinero in Casino every time I bite into a blueberry muffin. There is literally zero consistency in the baking. One muffin has so many blueberries it falls apart, the other has none. More often than not you get muffins with none, so I suppose there is some consistency, but on the wrong side. Are the employees taking the good ones for themselves? Either drop the price on the muffins or be more consistent. Also, the spoiled lunchmeat is a problem here. So is bread that turns moldy after being purchased 24 hours prior. The decreasing quality of this location combined with the rising prices across the board really make for a great reason to stop shopping here and spend the extra time driving to Walmart in Sterling. While the Sterling Walmart is certainly not winning any awards, at least you know what youre getting into by shopping there. The auto-response bot answering reviews here does not do the store any favors, either. Read some of the responses from the owner.
Better prices than most grocery stores around.
2nd time getting spoiled meat from deli. Today I got some Black Forest ham. Wanted to make a sandwich. When I opened the package it was sour smelling an very soggy looking. Ham just fell apart in my hand. It was disgusting. Please stop repackaging An relabeling the deli meat. I’m never getting it from here again.
Previously gave this store 5 stars. Had to lower it to 1 star. Upon entering the store there is a store update display that states shoppers MUST wear masks and has an expired mandate from the Governor of Virginia. As of midnight last night Governor Northam lifted the mandate to wear masks statewide to include Grocery stores. This is a Management failure. You need to replace the expired mandate as it is invalid and misleading. If Giant Management chooses to require customers to wear masks then you NEED to disclose that is YOUR decision not the Governor of Virginias. Customers like me will then decide if we want to shop here under your restrictions. As of 1 pm Saturday May 15, 2021.
I believe this is a kroger sister store.Very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. We got the most delicious fruit pound cake.
Large store part of a huge conglomerate with a good selection and competitive mass market prices. Good fish selection for this type of store, fast self check out.
Hollis is great! It is always great to see him during the week. He is friendly and ready to help load groceries.
I’m very disappointed to hear that Mr. Hollis got transferred to another store. He was the best employee this Giant had. Hard working, helpful and friendly person to everyone. This Giant won’t be the same without him greeting everyone outside.
Good. Fast check out
This particular Giant has a lot of parking space and like many in the area, encourage picking up groceries from the front of the store vice taking your shopping cart to your vehicle. The store has a pharmacy, bakery, deli, butcher and even a bank in it. It also was currently getting reorganized ~may/June 2018 time frame. The prices I have found are slightly lower on some products and more expensive on others, but for most things the price will be marginally lower. Depending on the time you visit will determine the amount of human checkout counters that are available but as part of the reorganization they also added a number of self checkout terminals. Overall a good Giant store but there is nothing there that makes it standout from others.
It’s a great place to get groceries at good prices. I shop there all the time to fill my fridge. My only gripe is that sometimes it’s not in the best condition cleanliness wise but they are usually pretty good.
Either Giant is going to offer the Covid vaccine, or it’s not. What they shouldn’t do is accept an appointment and then say they don’t have time to administer the shot.
Wedding cake:We were looking for an affordable cake for 150 people and this Giant was the only Giant that made cakes. It was only $232. Manager helped us carry the cake to the car as well. It was a yellowcake and buttercream frosting. Everyone at my wedding was so happy with our cake and kept asking where to get it. I would recommend this good tasting and affordable cake here!
Its Giant. Big Boy. Big Things. Big Sales. BIG DREAMS.
Have shopped at North Point Giant for over 25 years. Very disappointed to hear Giant management transferred a valued employee, Mr. Hollis, to the Franklin Farm store. Mr. Hollis has been a North Point Giant institution. He is the only North Point Giant employee who consistently greets me and my family with a smile and a warm greeting. Shame on you Giant management. Bring Mr. Hollis back.
Awesome. And one doesnt have to wear a mask! Yay!!
Curbside attendant was friendly, helpful, and courteous.
Love this store. Been shopping here for almost 10 years. Well-stocked with a first-rate staff.
Been shopping here since it opened. Good location, good selection. Friendly staff.
Very well organized and food looks fresh. Loading along the front drive is little difficult but I always get help from one of the Giant people to load my groceries.
Pay attention to the prices of the items being rung up. Multiple times items have been put in the wrong space resulting in the price not being meant for the item. Giant expects you to match the sku to the price on the shelf. This has happened with vanilla extract on two occasions along with paper towels of three occasions. It shouldn’t be on the customer to track down the correct price.
Fresh produce and verity of food !!!
This is a great Giant. The employees are friendly and helpful. Its clean and well stocked and the prices are lower than Safeway, Harris Teeter and Target. They have wine and cheese sampling on Friday evenings. The deli workers offer taste samples when you buy. They also have a good assortment of seasonal merchandise. I still like those other stores but I buy all most of my groceries and produce at Giant.
It would be six stars except they dont carry rye flour anymore
Great looking store. Sure was crowded. Well stocked!
Good store
Giant is my favorite grocery store.
Great service, I loved
Over priced, in my opinion.
The staff at this Giant have been exceptionally friendly and kind. They seem to enjoy each other and respond quickly and helpfully to inquiries. They have a large allergy friendly and natural foods section separate out and similar products also mixed in the aisles. Im not sure exactly how the decisions are made (for example there is coconut milk ice cream in the natural foods section and cashew milk, oat milk, and coconut milk ice cream in the ice cream section). However, it has saved me from walking all the way back across the store when I realized I forgot something. I have sometimes found other shoppers driving aggressively in the parking lot so I tend to pick times to go when its less busy.
This isnt my primary grocery store. But I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised. The store appears to have been remodeled and it was very neat and shelves were well stocked. Staff was friendly. A+ experience !
I love seeing Hollis every time I walk into the store! Love his spirit! Giant is a lifesaver, they always have what I need, with great prices!
Convenient for me, but selection and prices are so so.
The quality of food is really great! They have fresh vegetables, meats and other international foods in a good price. I highly recommend here for grocery shopping!!
A clean, well-lit and well-stocked place. Broad selection in produce, bakery, dairy, meats, packaged and frozen foods. Pharmacy very reliable. Prices lower than at Harris Teeter, though it has a marginally smaller selection of organic foods.Recent redesign introduced a new self checkout area with more, faster registers; getting in and out in less than five minutes is supremely doable.Been coming here since the day opened.
This 2-star rating is based solely on this stores non-compliance in following safety guidelines that have been established as it pertains to Covid-19.I go to this store at least once a week and was at this store 3 times this past week. One of the main guidelines given that is mandatory is that high-touch surfaces such as the payment keypad is supposed to be disinfected after each use. The coneyor belts are also supposed to be disinfected after each customer. Not once have I seen either of these things done in all the times Ive been at this store. This last time (day 3 of this week), I mentioned it to a manager at the customer service counter and she seemed very lackadaisical about the feedback and said sometimes the cashiers forget. I told her Im at the store all the time and that this isnt a one-off and that I have yet to see these precautions. I told her that when Ive gone to Wegmens that they unerringly clean the conveyor belts and keypads after each customer. I realize this is a hassle for businesses but these guidelines are in place for a reason and to protect all of us.Although I like this Giant as a whole, I think Ill have to probably start hitting up Wegmens until this pandemic is over. Being immune compromised is something that requires me to reduce my risk as much as possible. :(
One of the cashiers could do be better at customer service. Overall wide variety.
Today my husbund and I drove up to the store and parked at the sign it said to park at to pick up groceries if you’ve ordered them for pickup online. There was a store employee (very large in size and stature) who stormed up to my vehicle and yelled roll down your window and then said your car is blowing exhaust on us please move or turn it off. First off my Jeep wrangler is a new vehicle that turns off on its own when the car isn’t moving to save gas because it has energy sufficient technology. I know for fact that my vehicle was not blowing exhaust. It was very obvious that she just saw two black individuals sitting in their vehicle in front of the store and she simply didn’t like it. People like her will often make up things when they feel uncomfortable that someone whose skin looks different from their skin is around. It hurts and angers me that prejudice is so strong still today and especially in the DC, Maryland, Virginia area. I will just pray for her and people like her. I hope that the store will consider moving their pickup area if it is an issue with their store staff or send their friendliest employees outside instead to take donations instead of her and people like her.My husband and I are are very respectful adults and did not act out of conduct or bother anyone. I felt totally disrespected.
Love Giant!! The Pharmacy could use a little more help. Everyone time I go in Giant its a line wrapped around and first time I filled a prescription they were fully staffed and I waited 1 hour and 13 minutes to be exact. Thats why Im giving 4 stars
Clean store, practicing social distancing. I go in the early morning and the shelves are always stocked.
They are big in veggies and meat so am I . shelves are always stocked with new items and everything is always fresh. The prices are better than most prices stores I have shopped at .
This Giant Food is not in a large building but it is jam-packed with just about anything you would want. Starting with flowers, then fruits and vegetables, a nice little salad bar, as well as an olive or Mediterranean bar at the back. There is also a great selection of cheeses in the same area. Probably my favorite is the sushi counter where a sushi chef creates lots of beautiful items fresh every morning. I just asked if I could have more ginger and was graciously provided more with my sushi selection. The store also provides all the standard things such as bread, bakery, wines and beer, eggs, chips, and so on. The prices are not cheap but are not extreme. Smaller than usual carts are available if you do not plan to make a lot of purchases.
Nice shopping experience.
Nice, clean, you can find almost everything here, prices are reasonable compared to other grocery stores, most staff members are friendly. Overall, this Giant is one of my favorite store.
Very Good
Its ridiculous but theres only one way out to get carts into the parking lot and theres no way to leave them there
Friendly Staff and Very Convenient and Well Stocked!
Fresh produce! The staff is pretty awesome too! Great customer service.
I am an older lady shopping today; 9:08 a.m. Cashier, Miguel seemed to be in a foul mood and never looked up to see I was there until I said hello. Then I mentioned manufacturers, stuck-on coupons on top of the peanut butter jars and he rang them up and shoved them in a bag, without taking the coupons off for each. I had to remind him there were coupons on top of the jars. Then he shoved everything in bags, before I had time to ask for double bags. Frozen and non-frozen were all scattered in different bags.Customer service training should also be given to all who do cashier work, to ask everyone if they would like double bags. I live in a 3rd floor apartment that does NOT have elevators. I am retired and about to be 62. Even though I am fairly fit, I dont like the idea of heavy groceries in single bags, which could break. I usually have Peapod delivery, but I only needed a few things today.
Store had great sale prices on a number of items. Meat manager was very helpful and knowledgeable
This store is fantastic. Its in a great location (right off Reston Parkway; easily accessible from Route 7), too. Theyve revamped it in recent years and their selection of produce is really nice. One of the best things about this place is the employees, though. There are a few that I see on a regular basis and they go out of their way to make people smile. In particular, Maria (who works upfront) and Emid (spelling may be off) who is a butcher.
This is a good giant store to shop at even thought I feel its a little out dated for reston... but it works for me price are great lots of larger parking spots someone should be helping to load the cars and help and it says no tip right on the signs its clear but hey whats a 5$ bill gonna hurt anybody..kids shopping carts kinda stink... seems to be a shortage... now if I hadnt had any kids I would give a f.but just saying. Great selection of meats cheese breads shrimp.. everything is good I would stop in and check in for your self!
Great Giant. Way better than the other two around here. The other two are old and gross to be completely honest with you and never have as much stuff. Just watch out for the idiot drivers entering/exiting the shopping center.
Giant food has always been a great store to grocery shop. The checkers and pharmacy staff always great you with a hello and a smile. Keep up the good work.J. Boscia
I am not a big fan of Giant since Giant is now part of Stop & Shops mentality. I decided to try to locate Fiber One brownies. I searched twice the cookie aisle and couldnt find them. A trip to customer serviceand a young gentleman came to my rescue and guess where these were... In The breakfast aisle. My suggestion is that corporate grab a grocery cart & shop.
Theres great people that work there and they are very helpful. The store is clean and the food is fresh. Prices arent to bad either.
Its funny that this question should pop up because I was there this morning and when I left and was in the car I was thinking what a nice experience I just had. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Thank you
This is an example of a Giant yhat is doing things right. Produce section was well stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables. Helpful employees.
Great improvement. Makes Harris Teeter look like krap
Fresh produce and meats! Love the freshly made guacamole! The staff is pretty awesome too! Great customer service.
I like the store but the produce isnt so good. I buy fruits and vegetables and within 2 to 3 days they start to go bad. I get the sense that produce goes on sale because they have been sitting in the back for a while. I started shopping elsewhere for produce. Also, please hold a class to train your cashiers on bagging items properly. Often times the heavy items are bagged with items such as chips. Simple common sense could be used. Additionally, I always have to ask for my items to be double-bagged because your grocery bags are not good quality. If one bag is used for heavy items, the bag is tore by the time I get to my car. If two bags have to be used, this is not cost-effect in the long run.
Good experience in all departments. Well-managed.
Everything is always clean, good sales.. Except for the one lady in the Deli.. She was rude, and seems like she hated to wait on you..
Good Giant... recently stopped with supporting Keg purchases, wine selection is off and on. Good people and clean store.
I just love the store. the people who work there, the manager the cashier people The butcher even the baggers and the cart attendants are consistently over and above courteous thoughtful helpful and just very patient. I have a precocious two-year-old, tonight for exSample he ran into the little car cart and would not get out of them. To prevent him having a full temper tantrum right there Liam one of the younger shopping cart attendants assisted me but wheeling an empty car cart all the way to my car and then wheeling it back letting my son pretending he was driving. Ps I didn’t shop there at all tonight. he really went above and beyond. also does Mr. Hollis every time and Carolyn M. and the lovely manager.
Giants seems to have the most reasonable prices for groceries around so I usually shop here for most of my grocery needs.
Love it, i was looking for horizon omega milk for my baby and it was out in many stores but i found it at giant, thank you for that
They let customers in with no masks. Poor management decision.
My favorite grocery. Friendly, helpful staff. Great inventory. Great prices.
Terrible customer experience
The worst ever customer service by a partial store manager Carmen. She doesn’t understand how to behave with customers. I humbly ask the higher management to teach her her lesson before she faces a customer. Thanks
Quick in and out to pick up a few things for dinner. Self checkout is very efficient when you only have a hand full of things.
Locationwise is in a nice area, very similar to other Giant stores, but Im not that much buy things from Giant stores, not fan of them.
Same as Stop and Shop back in Massachusetts. Prices were a little high but convenient to where we were staying so this worked for us.
This site has improved with a lot of recent upgrades.
Nice staff but the selection just does not compare to harris teeter
I rate this grocery store with three stars as opposed to 4 and the reasonsI dont rate it as a five are that: one is required to leave their basket at the curbside because theyve got the curb blocked off so you cant get the basket out easily unless you Traverse the width of the store to get out the ends of the area where the baskets would be kept. This may not sound like very much but after youve purchased $100 plus worth of groceries I dont like leaving them at the curb or out, while I get my truck to come pick up the groceries.Secondly, I dont like the idea that they have gotten rid of the bulk coffee whole beans and the dispensers that go along with them. You can only buy ground coffee there which is nowhere near as fresh as the whole bean coffee. I was told by employees of the store that all Giants were getting rid of those. However the McLean Giant still has them so I have to drive 7 miles out of my way to go to get coffee beans. The fact that there is not uniformity is frustrating and if Giant is going to be getting rid of the dispensing of whole bean coffee, I think that would be a great mistake. In that case I would look for another grocery store.Three years later and there is no response from the store. I guess they do enough business they dont care what some of their customers think.
The store is always well stocked with a great variety of foods and customer service is great.
Staff is so friendly. Hope they keep adding more organic products.
Best giant Ive ever been to. Odd thing to say but not all Giants are the same.
Good produce, but not great selection in the meat department.
My name is Jack and I really like this store, good people, fresh food and many more stuff
Everything youve come to expect from Stop and Shop but under the Giant name. The location is convenient, parking isnt usually a hassle, and the selection is large.
Great staff always willing to help. Pretty good food, too.
Typical grocery store. Big with many choices of food. But it does not carry Zevia soda.
Great service
Giants is my favorite Safeway is # 2 Harris Teeter #3 Whole foods #4 Wegmans #5 you get the picture right?
It is a modern grocery store. A supermarket to be exact.
Would give it 5 stars if they just upgrade a little.
Been shopping here for 20 years. Theres something a little pre-modern about it, relative to, say, Wegmans or Teeter, but thats OK. It has everything you need from a supermarket, at fair prices. The only annoying thing is that every 3-4 years, they completely reorganize the store, toward no apparent purpose. Things that used to be on Aisle 1 suddenly end up on Aisle 20, with no customer benefit. They lack ALL of the sample hand-outs, sitting areas, soda machine, food bars, etc., of a Wegmans, but, hey, its a grocery store and thats OK. The meat & fish section is solid; vegetables are sometimes pretty bad/old. The bathrooms are heinously unpleasant and need to be cleaned much more often and spruced up. One thing I will say on the positive side is, I have always liked the staff and how easy it is to get someone to help you find something or solve a problem.
Always helpful staff. Thats a big deal!
Love this store! Employees are eager to help you!
It was pretty good had mist of the thing I needed
In one word it’s excellent fresh food & great quality also very good service
Reliable and easy
Can’t pick a prescription up after 5pm on Sunday. It’s just sitting there in a bag. The store is open.Go out of the pharmacy business. Ridiculous
I like this Giant a lot. Its a break from my usual Harris Teeter, Trader Joes and WHolefoods. Great selection and sales.
Giant has all the goya products I love.
