If you do not have insurance, go to the Watters Creek location. They are just as professional and clean as this location but close to half of what this location charges. The TSO insurance is cheaper at Watters and discounts more. I assumed all TSO locations would have the same prices. I was wrong. 😕

I loved my experience here. It was my first time going to this TSO location, but I can assure you it won’t be my last. I had my eye exam by my regular Optomotrist so I can’t speak on the doctor there. However, she did come and introduce herself and I thought that was very nice. The staff is amazing. Shadé helped me work through my horrendous indecisiveness (even stayed after closing — hats off to you my dear!) and I’m extremely happy with how my selections turned out. The place is very nicely laid out and welcoming with good frame selections. I would 100% recommend this TSO location.

I had such a great visit! Everyone was very professional and very efficient. Due to the pandemic there was lots of hand sanitizer available and all stations and offices were being sanitized after each use. I will definitely be coming here for my check ups!

My glasses broke randomly one day and i needed to get some new ones soon. The customer service was nice. Due to COVID-19, i was the only one shopping in store and the 1on1 time was nice. It took about 2 weeks to get my glasses. Luckily i had a backup pair. Once i got them, they were exactly fitting to my face. Love this location!

This is by far the best eyecare team Ive ever experienced. They are so helpful and kind and upfront about prices and insurance. They worked with us to understand our benefits and helped my husband and I both get glasses that were highly affordable. Additionally, I havent seen well for years with other eye doctors Ive had. Doctor Carter was very intent on making me get exactly the right prescription- no one rushed me and they got me exactly the right prescription. Now I have glasses and contacts that I can see through perfectly and my husband now does too. Highly recommend this office!!

Dr. Carter and her staff were wonderful during my visit. They were attentive and didnt rush through anything. They clearly take pride in what they do. I admire Dr. Carter for her straightforward approach about how I need to take better care of my eyes, but it came out of genuine concern instead of something shes supposed to say. Her staff are very knowledgeable and were excellent about making sure I got the most out of what my insurance covers. This is definitely my new location for eye care.

Great staff, very friendly! Had to bring my toddler with me, and they were very patient with her. (She wasn’t being bad, just wanting my attention.) Slightly long wait time. Quick turn around on receiving contacts and gave me a deal that was cheaper than Wal-Mart. Overall great experience.

TSO is close to home and very convenient for me. The lady spent a lot of time helping me find the glasses that best fit my need. I needed glasses for computer reading and needed a pair that would give me the best view of the screen. She took me directly to pairs that fit that criteria and worked with me to select a pair. She was very patient with me. Also, we both worked together to find something that was both fit my budget and my criteria.

The examinations were thorough, adequate time was taken to explain things, and I felt well taken care of. Ive not experienced this level of personal care and attention at any other optometrist Ive visited, and the office itself was very inviting.Oh, and, all this was service was provided as a walk-in patient. I am, overall, entirely satisfied.

Prescription I got was completely incorrect. I got prescription of +1.25 and +0.5 from TSO and ordered glasses from somewhere else. I wasn’t able to see properly with those glasses and after thinking about it I again went for eye check at other place. I checked my eyes again and my real number was -0.25 and -0.25. I ordered glasses with new prescription and they are working great.

A very modern and efficient facility, staffed by capable and friendly professionals. Their website offers convenient online scheduling of appointments and, once at the shop, the initial registration as a new customer took barely 5 minutes. At each step of my “on-boarding” examination the appropriate staff member outlined its purpose, conducted their part of the examination, and explained the findings in plain language. The Optometrist was friendly, and inquired about my concerns, my eyesight history, and what goals I hoped to achieve. She then completed a thorough set of vision metrics, followed by an updated prescription. After that, a very knowledgeable staffer explained the range of available eyeglass lenses, frames, and lens treatments, and helped me make a good choice that stayed within my budget. Last but not least, they set up a simple payment plan. And the icing on the cake is... lots of close parking.

Dr. Carter and her staff were great. Shade was very patient with me and knowledgeable about the procedures and products. Ninoska was very pateint as well while getting clarity/verification with my insurance company. Dr. Carter took time to explain things and made sure I understood my options.

It was very nice to go to her office, that has all of the current technology for eye care. She even went to the lengths to work with my insurance company to get my eye drop prescription filled, which is extremely expensive, and I appreciated that she did that for me. Most of all, Dr. Carter and her staff are very professional and at the same time very personal. They were awesome by helping me pick out some glasses and made it more fun for me rather than a hassle of eye glasses shopping. Great office and such a great team that Dr. Carter has!

Stopped by as a suggestion. Glad I did. Everyone was professional from top down. They have a huge selection of eyewear and have everything one needs to get a full evaluation. They do utilize most insurance and their self pay rate seems fair. The best part is you can visit other stores while in the area. If you are looking for a professional setting with great selection for all your eye needs I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Carter is great and has really helped me with getting my vision near perfect, with the contact lenses that are the most comfortable for me, while also helping to tame my super dry, irritated eyes. The entire staff is so nice and helpful and found me the PERFECT set of frames today!

This is my first visit to this office due to my only pair of glasses breaking, and my mind was blown. I have never encountered such a nice staff there first goal was to make me feel comfortable.. which they did. They made the whole process go smoothly from paperwork, to payment, to appointment setup just all of it. Dr. Carter is extremely patient, and more importantly knowledgeable at her craft, but what made the difference for me is she has a great attitude, and is very personable. Willing to take the extra steps, but could say that about everyone that works there. This is a must go if you are in the need for glasses or contacts or if you just want to visit Im sure they wouldnt mind lol. Highly recommend to everyone.

Everyone was so helpful! They helped me decide on my frames and even held my frames. I would recommend everyone to come here to get their glasses. They do have clear frames and light weight frames. Catherine was perfect.

In over 25 years of getting my eyes checked I have never received the level of care I received here. They checked my eyes throughly and made sure my glasses and my contacts were working with my eyes. I took my family there and they were patient with my six year old, extremely friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Be prepared to spend a good hour on your visit especially if you are a new patient. I cannot stress enough of how happy I am with the service and care I have received here. Their equipment is state of the art and the interior is super clean. They have definitely made me and my family customers for life.

I am so impressed with this eye doctor and office. The doctor is really professional and took time to listen to me. She asked a lot of questions and was able to prescribe eye wear that really fits how I use my glasses. The exam was extremely thorough. The office is way cool with a great selection of frames and very modern. Everyone uses iPads to do everything. They digitally took my measurements so that my glasses fit perfectly. I’m definitely going to go back to this office.

Outstanding service! Got seen same day which I was worried about and the Dr really took time to ask me questions and explain the services/tests. She also went above and beyond in what she gave me regarding some contact samples to make sure that I was happy with my options. The glasses selection was very good and they had some great sunglasses that I hope you onhead back and pick up soon. Couldn’t be happier with the service and atmosphere at this store.

Complete waste of my time. I have a severe medical condition, and I deal with side effects from the medications that get pumped into me weekly, and sometimes daily. I met the temperature threshold, but I made the mistake of explaining to them that one of the meds, the one that was pumped into me yesterday, gives me the chills. For this reason, they would not see me. I arrived at 3pm, and when I left at 4pm I had accomplished nothing. You would think that an MD would be familiar with the various side-effects involved with treating my condition, but they were shockingly unwilling to budge. The moral of this story is IF YOU HAVE A CONDITION, OR ARE ON/RECEIVE MEDS THAT PRODUCE SYMPTOMS THAT THEY ARE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR, DO NOT TELL THEM!!! I REPEAT, DO NOT TELL THEM, YOU WILL BE SENT AWAY! And okay, I get wanting to keep people safe, but they went overboard. We could have very easily called the specialist that I see for my condition, he or his nurse could have discussed the meds and side-effects over the phone, or Google! I actually gave them the name of the med, and online it says the most common symptom is chills, within 3-6 hours! but they want me to get screened for Covid-19 and provide documentation that I dont have it before they would see me... even though I met the temp threshold and have a condition that easily explains the chills. So, I dont know what they mean in their response to me below about making it up to me. They cant, they just want another opportunity to take my money. I was born at night, but it wasnt last night.

I really LOVE Texas State Optical at Custer Creek. I went there for my annual eye exam and was greeted the moment I walked in the door. The lobby area is a well-lit open space and has a nice modern design. The staff was professional yet personable and made me feel welcome and like I was a valued client. These guys are great!! I had severe eye strain and was having trouble with my vision. They were very detailed in my exam and took time to get very detailed in my exrays and detailed explanation of what was going on with my eyes. The Dr the staff, just wonderful. They even put lenses in my Mom’s old frames which are sentimental to me as well as getting me beautiful new Tiffany frames! I can’t say enough about my wonderful experience here! This is now my go to place for my eyes and I couldn’t be happier with my experience here.
