Great place to buy Asian food. Good variety of Oriental good and great prices on Chinese food.
Best place south of Vallejo for finding fresh sea food. Best for Asian items.
Always have what I need. Keeps me from having to drive to the south bay to get ingredients and food.
Just shopped here and someone took out our 2 crabs and bag of shrimp right out of our cart when weren’t looking. They probably walked right out with it without paying for it. Never thought that would happen to me, especially under my watch. Glad we noticed before checkout bc I would’ve been mad if we got home without our seafood.
You can always get good live seafood and shrimp but I would steer clear of the whole dead fish they sell. Slimy gills gray color. Does not pass my standards of what is fresh fish! some of them are downright disgusting in terms of a fresh fish! Good produce.
Visit here to get a pound of shrimp. Large Asian store with about any Chinese products you need. Fresh meat, produce and seafood.
Ranch 99 is one of the largest Asian food stores around. Its where I.go for exotic food. Come on in look around find new stuff!!
The seafood selection is great, and Friday’s they usually have good deals on the seafood! Shorted my review by 2 stars because some butcher working with the fish always tries to force my husband to tip him! It’s funny because when I’m there with him, he won’t say anything. But when my husband is alone, the guy rudely tried to get a tip out of him twice after he cleaned our fish! It’s so unprofessional and I don’t like how he only did it when it was just my husband. Had he tried to get it out of me, I would’ve gave him a piece of my mind. It’s not normal for me to tip my butcher, but if he was maybe my usual butcher and we had a good relationship I wouldnt mind. I hate how he was trying to guilt a tip out of my husband.
Hadnt Been Since 2011, But I Ordered A 3 Pound Rock Cod, Which They Scaled, Chopped Into Steaks & Deep Fried All For Just $16..Very Very Good Eats 🐁
Very crowded aisles with items stacked in the way. Well stocked though and with a nice hot deli with dim sum and roast meat. Big fruit and veggie selection.
Assorted collection of international spices, fresh live seafood and vegetables in smaller quantities than at big box stores i.e. Costco or Sams. The fish fry service is also top notch. My favorite small store in the Albany area. I will definitely visit again.
Just like any 99 Ranch Market. This one particularly has extremely poor cell reception. Its the whole building. So if you need to know what an ingredients you need for any particular recipe, get that screen shot first and save it, before entering the building.Other than that, theres more than ample parking spaces, except for Sundays when everyone is out shopping/eating. Its an indoor mall, so it can get busy. The deli aisle has been adjusted to CV19 conditions.
Ranch market can’t never be missed for any quick groceries and items that you need. We can get almost zero to 100 items in ranch market at cheap price and easy checkout. Huge parking with good staffs and easy choice is the best that we can find in ranch market. Mutton has always been my best when ever I come to ranch market.
The store is relatively well supplied for customers who buy Chinese goods. There are various vegetables and the prices are moderate. They also have ready meals, but to be honest, I didnt like how it looked (maybe they are delicious) so I didnt even buy it. Boiled duck eggs wrapped in red vacuum plastic are too salty and taste bad. Fresh pork was good, but pork sung is sweet! which I dont like.
You could get groceries from nations all over the world. Fresh fish and seafood.
There are dimsum & some chinese food. Taste are pretty goods.
Good fish market and Asian food 😋fast check out
Will never go there again without leaving a guard in the car. We cant afford to replace smashed windows for a grocery trip. Even though there are security guards inbred parking lot they seem unable to stop the random vandalism that occurs on a regular basis in broad daylight.
Best for fish shopping, and Chinese food takeaway. Me and my family love it.
I go here a couple times a week for basic Asian food supplies.
Currently no social distancing but everyone is wearing mask. That said, lots of choices in the produce, meat and seafood sections. Used to be cheaper than grocery store, not anymore. If youre looking for asian ingredients, youll definitely find it here. They used to fry your fish order if you want it fried but I dont think they were frying anything when I went midday on a Monday.
Nice place to get to go shopping with Asian food experience
Outstanding Asian Supermarket! Always a pleasure to shop there. Thanks 😊❤️
Awesome food selection. They still require masks at the supermarket.
Situated in a dead mall. A bit dark and not as tidy as other branches. Milpitas Square branch is better
Scary place at night. Police cruiser just sitting in the parking lot with lights flashing. Seems the interior is always under construction.
Not especially a fan of this popular Asian market although I understand why.It is convenient and at the same time the prices are higher.Rather than going into Chinatown, folks come to 99 Ranch Market and also patronize the various Asian restaurants in the mall.Be mindful of the dates. Sometimes there are canned goods that have expired and made their way back on the shelves.Their pre-cooked food section has excellent dim sum but not always. My neighbors go and buy fresh fish and have it fried while shopping.I have said it above. For me its not the real shopping experience as in C-Town but it is convenient when you need something on a whim.
A good place to purchase Asian food.
Lots of variety but produce prices are a bit high and the store is crowded and not well spaced during COVID. I felt uncomfortable there due to lack of social distancing.
99 Ranch is nice, but organization and cleanliness are mediocre. The mall that it sits in is disappointing because almost all of the adjoining stores and restaurants close way too early.Blame it on COVID? Not sure.
This store has lots of fun and delicious foods to try from all around the world. Lots of hard to get ingredients. Take out food counter and fish counter are excellent.
Great shopping place in Eastbay for oriental food and household items. Fruits and vegetables in produce selection are presented well in great quality. Meat and seafood are fresh and abundant. This is a 1-stop shopping for weekly need.
Never the best service, but never bad service. Just a DMV version of a grocery store.I feel like the tanks in back are overstuffed for the life fish/lobster/crab/shrimp. But... Theyre all headed to death anyway. Just jwonder if overstocking leads to deaths which leads to contamination. Im in no way an expert.
My wife loves it shes Cambodian, neat shops, tasty food, beautiful in parking lot, dont be distracted.
Prices are higher than others. I shop here a lot, but I notice price is about 15% more than supers.
An amazing variety of products excellent produce session and the fish market cant be beat by any other large-scale store.
It’s has a few good restaurants and the store has a good amount of supplies, but some of the supplies I need is out of stock
This place always has the items In looking for and they will verify they have the items or not if you call in.The have lots of fresh produce, meats, seafood, noodles, rice, deserts, condiments, herbs and lots more.Sometimes the store can be crowded however the check out lines are always short which I love.Would recommend this place to everyone.
Awesome Asian immersion experience! Plan on spending time and money on sooo many products you may have never seen but are excited to try.
I went today to get a couple of things. These ladies at the register were talking about us while one of them was scanning our items. Like yes we speak the same language you speak! So unprofessional never coming here again.
I love Ranch 99 for its diversity of products and the clientele. The only reason I give it three starts is because its gotten ver crowded. I dont think they are mindful of how many people are in the premises. Also, you have to clean your own cart which exposes you even more. Theres a pandemic going on.
Ranch 99 is an Asian supermarket, with products you wont see in the Asian aisle of your typical chain grocery store. There are aisles dedicated to southeast Asian products, for instance, from Indonesia and the Philippines. The produce section is well priced and had many varieties of vegetables you wont see elsewhere. The same applies to their frozen foods and condiment aisles, which are well stocked with amazing choices, and there is a deli section of Chinese foods, including dim sum delicacies, that is a special treat for those on the go!
Itll be so much better if their shopping carts are newer and cleaner. The place inside is usually smelly and messy.
Great prices on veggies, bulk beans and rice, beverages, and dairy products. Also, great if you work in the food/cleaning industry, great prices on cleaning products too!
Love this place great grocery store and restaurant, deli and bakery
Avoid if possible, the security situation is getting worse. My glass got smashed even just 15 minutes shopping. For such a big park lot, why cant they just hire 2 securities protoralling at the same time?
A great place to go if you want a quick bite or some fried fish to go.
Good prices. Poor costumer service and overcrowded
Great selection of Asian specialty ingredients, primarily Chinese. I wish they covered a few more SE Asia ingredients but it’s not their thing.
Not 2 bad.
Even though 99 Ranch is of course known for all their grocery products. I absolutely love their hot food department. Their self serve always smells so delicious and I like that I can fill my own takeout box (so I definitely stuff it to the max by pushing as much in as possible). Or their barbecue area is the best too! I recommend the barbecue pork and they take care of cutting it up for you too. And then I dont have to worry about what to bring for my work lunch for a few days.
So great. Folks were friendly and helpful. Especially loved their deli/hot food area offerings. :)
Great market with everything i need and great produce!
Very good produce and well priced. When asking an employee for directions though I was treated like I didnt say anything which was pretty weird and my reasoning for 3/5 stars!
Called to see when they were going to get salmon In And they said “we get it in when we get it.” terrible response. They need someone else better who is more capable of answering ppl questions when picking up the phone/customer service.
Great place to buy grocery which have variety of things to choice from.
Whenever Im homesick for my Filipino dishes and I happen to be visiting family I always stop here to buy my groceries. They have everything from Patis, cassava, lechon sauce,Mamasitas sinigang mix etc. etc. etc. Produce is fresh everyday. After Im done shopping I go straight to Sheng Kee to get all my baked goods which are individually wrapped.
Today I went to the buffet area to order roast duck, vegetables and rice and I came to a line to wait. The cashier lady told everyone to line up on the left side but not for what. So I lined up waiting for 2 other customers intentionally taking their time to make the next customer wait. I waited for nearly 30 minutes to give my order and in comes people from the right side. By the time it was my turn the cashier ignored me to charge other customers until I yelled at her and by then when I yelled at her she said left line is for meats only. She didnt serve me until all the customers have paid first. I was the last one to serve. Horrible customer service.
Food fresh, lot varieties of Asian food, fish always fresh, store always clean.
A nice selection of Asian groceries. The dim sum bar is delicious too!
Super cool! Really fun store and full of cool things.
Nice staff everything fresh I love this place
Nice Asian Grocery and its just Along interstate 80😊
Good enough for my standards 🙂
不错。 Ive bought a lot of dumplings here 😂 Good selection of Asian foods. Not very Covid friendly, too many people crowded around.
Not the best 99 ranch in the area, it always seems a bit cramped compared to the others, but it usually has everything that you need.
Love this store but everything is so expensive
Such amazing selection of fruits and produce. I love that they carry good quality tropical fruits like lychees and mangoes that are hard to find anywhere else. Randomly, their baked cakes are also really good. We tried and loved the tiramisu and I dont even usually like tiramisu.
This supermarket has most of asian foods. Vegetables are very fresh and price is very good.
VERY crowded even when queueing people into the store... A little concerning, but the store still has great variety and pricing!
The best and freshest seafood 🦞🍢
This ranch 99 is similar to what weve come to expect from other branches : reliable and essential from fresh produce, and quality food, to delicious snacks. We will all get through this time and enjoy their dim sum and hot food in the hustle bustle of the food court again. In the meantime, 99 ranch is an efficient and easy way to get some food in and out.
Great selection, especially seafood. Ample parking.
Anything and everything traditional Chinese culture you will find here. The sea food is super fresh! You pick it out. (I felt a little guilty about that) after you forgive yourself for doing that you dine. And again if you are in love with the person your dinning with.. what else matters,.. San Francisco is wonderful!
The finest Asian products in the East Bay
Good spot to buy seafood from.. Its pretty compact on the inside.. Hard to find stuff
Good customers service by their check-out counter clerks.
The mall in general is a childhood favorite place.I come every other year because its far from where I live, but when I do, it makes me happy to have gone.
99 ranch has been my savior when I was at university nearby. Would come here weekly to split the groceries with my roommates. Wonderful selections of fresh fruits and vegetables and great for the college student budget. Of course, we would always have to replenish our Shin Ramen. This is my favorite instant ramen out of all of them, spicy flavor (but you can adjust it to your liking). Add an egg and some steamed veggies and you’ve got a full meal!
Great fresh seafood selection
Shopped on monday mid afternoon. Plenty of inventory and good quality produce. Everyone wore face masks and respected social distances. Plenty of parking out front and no lines at checkout. Security folks walking the parking lot and plenty of Tesla charging spots for you ev owners. Large fried chicken drumsticks had a special for 90 cents each. Monday afternoon worked great for us, we wanted to avoid weekend crowds. Stay safe👍🏻.
Good prices and bargains. Their deli has lots of goods at an affordable price.
I basically come here for the Thai coconuts. Theyre cheaper here than other places. There is a lot more here of course. Its in a strip mall with a bunch of other Asian stuff. Highly recommended.
No social distance not safe. Place is dirty and smells bad. Cashiers are very rude and throws what you purchase. I wont be going back.
Great seafood selection and variety!!!
Have fresh fish and meat counters, as well as hot food counter, as well as all the Asian food and ingredients you’re likely to need.Although things can be hard to locate and there’s no much staff in the aisles to help you. When you do find one, the staff are generally trying to be helpful.
This is the story that I usually find most of my foods and noodles cuz I love noodles and they have a variety of different types of noodles but right now Im focused on eating fish and noodles and fruits and vegetables so I can lose some weight Im not really too much of me either like I was before I feel much more better eating fish than me but they have a variety of foods even western foods as well so if youre looking for a lot of Asian materials go to here
Really good food already cookedDim sum!
Its one of the smaller 99 Ranch Markets that Ive been to, but still carries all the products that Im used to buying from the 99 Ranch Market in LA. But I was pleasantly surprised by the seafood department. They actually carry live sturgeon which you never seen in any Southern California stores. And the oysters were really amazing. If you live close by to Richmond definitely worth a trip visiting.
Check the price on produce some are okay but some outrageous.
The worst ranch 99 I have even been. My husband and I waited for the fish around half an hour without any services. We’ve took a number and they just ignored us all the time. Even though we asked them several times they just kept ignoring us. :(
Very extensive and well-stocked produce department. Great variety of sauces, rice, noodles, cookware, etc. Staff is reasonably helpful given how busy this store always is. They have prepared foods as well (ex: cooked duck, dim sum to go), but I havent tried it yet. Great prices on goods carried. Id rather shop here than Safeway any day....
