This place has the best staff very friendly. I would not hesitate to bring my vehicle here. They will take good care of you . Jason is the best always takes good care of our cars A++++
An open business denying a young mother and her child of service in the world we live in is inhumane. This hardworking woman could have easily been the next news story. Woman and child hit by another car on side of road trying to fix flat tire. Where is the dignity of the people you decide to employ? Where is the compassion of the people you decide to employ? As consumers we GIVE these businesses the OPPORTUNITY to provide a service I’m asking everyone with some compassion and dignity to not GIVE this business the OPPORTUNITY to turn you away when you may need it the most. Don’t choose to be another victim of Tuckahoe Tire Country!!
Got a flat tire coming home from work one night. Called them at 7 AM the next morning & dropped off the old tire, they ordered the new tire for me & had it in by 2 PM, came back on my lunch break at 3 & they had me back on the road in a matter of minutes. Superior service and value, plus everyone I spoke to there was super nice & professional. Theyve earned my business from here on out!
So this is the first time I have ever left two 5-star reviews for the same establishment, but Ive been really impressed by this shop. They have provided fair pricing/diagnostics multiple times, despite ample opportunity to price gouge (which we all know is far too common in this industry). If they continue with the transparency and honesty Ive witnessed so far, Ill be a customer for life!
Our family recently used T.T.C for the first time for our inspection. We were very grateful to be squeezed in because spots can be hard to get in the summer. We called and were told to come at a specific time (which was not the time T.T.C opened), but also were told that cars were taken in order of arrival (a bit conflicting in wording, but it was okay). Arrived that morning to drop our vehicle off and were given the estimate that itd be ready by the afternoon. Waiting in the area wasnt an issue because others errands needed to be run and the manager implied this was fine. Later, a family member returned to retrieve an item from the vehicle that they needed. When approaching the manager at the desk - their tone was very short and hostile. Didnt even let them unlock our own vehicle. Our car needed some work so it was fine to pick it up the next day. The work that was done seemed fine, and even the wait wasnt an issue. The reason we would not recommend and would not return unless we had to is due to the way the staff approaches others. Its best to find an establishment where they are respectful and want your business. The only time we felt our dealings were wanted is when we initially called and when we paid.
Efficient service!Good job & fast!
The best mechanics, the best employees and the best service. Ive been a loyal customer for well over two decades. From oil changes to major engine repairs, there is no other better place in Richmond. Fair pricing! Today I had two cars in and out in less than 6 hours. Thank you for taking great care of all our family vehicles!
Told me they hid my tire after paying and got there and key wasn’t left. Zero apologies, tried to blame. I’ve run a service business for 23 years couldn’t imagine not fixing the situation.
On December 18 2019 this was my first time taking my car to this shop. I had a car inspection at 9am I arrive at 8:50am. I was greeted with so much respect and laughter. Not only did they say it takes an hour for my car to be expected it only took 20 minutes and I pass my car inspection. My customer service was awesome from Tuckahoe Tire Company and the service was amazing. The staff is so amazing as well this is my new mechanic place I will be taking my car for now on. You guys rock and very brilliant.
Highly recommended!!! I stopped by about an hour before they closed, didnt have an appointment, but I had a flat and was in a jam. They squeezed me in and got me back on the road within 20 minutes. I couldnt believe it! The front desk staff was very friendly and the mechanic I spoke with, Isaac, was both knowledgeable and helpful. He informed me of my options and helped identify a solution that wouldnt break the bank. So refreshing, considering a lot of their competition will attempt to sell you on things you dont need just to make a couple extra bucks. To top it off, the waiting room was clean and comfortable. Ill definitely be back and encourage others to use Tuckahoe Tire as well!
Tuckahoe Tire Country was wonderful! I had such a pleasant experience here and did not feel like I was being ripped off in any way shape or form (which I have had happen in the past). I will absolutely be bringing my car here in the future to be worked on as well as recommending them to anyone who asks!
We have found the guys at Tuckahoe Tire to be very fair. Its hard to find a mechanic shop that you can trust and we feel like we have with these guys. We recently purchased a used car through a private seller. The car needed an inspection and we recommended the owner take it to them for the inspection before we purchased. He liked them a lot and said hed be using them from now on. Its good to find someone trustworthy and we are so thankful we did.
WORTH MORE THAN 5 STARS (honest review)Read some reviews and was skeptical at first but after calling my first place who was closed, I gave them a shot. To my surprise they were open the day after Thanksgiving. So for that, an automatic +1 star. The real review begins now (and look at my review record, I hardly give reviews and when they do they are beyond earned and in this case I felt obligated to defend them based on the other poor reviews, which I dont feel are accurate, now having first hand experience with them) being a business owner, I know how important reputation is ... anyways, Rodney who answered the phone was energetic and pleasure to speak with... I had two tire situations I needed help with and they were beyond fantastic with handling both. The first was for a broken rim that was digging into the actual tire. They warned it might ruin the tire while demounting it but they were happy to try (it didnt ruin it, so I know for a fact they werent in the business of price gouging.) They put the tire on the new wheel I bought, balanced it for me, and had that taken care of lightning fast. The techs were extremely polite, effecient, and you could tell their goal was to have you walk away with a smile on your face. The second situation was two dry rotted tires that needed replacing (for my dune buggy), which I expected to take at least the weekend to have them delivered, today being Friday. He matched my tire, gave me a very fair price and said come back around 3-4 and theyll be ready... I questioned him and said, you mean I can pick them up today? He said, yessir! Well have them here from our warehouse on the afternoon truck... Amazing!I highly recommend Tuckahoe Tire to anyone looking for a local, genuine, honest experience. Cheers!
Our tire went flat a block away. We put the donut on and saw this place. Stopped in right at closing time, and Isaac had a new tire on 5 minutes later! Everyone was super nice and helpful! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRICES!
I had a feeling I was being ripped off, but the location was convenient. Instead of using reliable parts from the manufacturer, they replaced three coils in my engine with cheap parts made in China. The first one they replaced has already failed after two years (one of the original 7 year old coils is still working). They also charged me twice what I paid the shop that replaced one of their cheap coils. Their only saving grace is that they usually work fast - the only other reason I used them.
I felt the people there truly did not want my service. I was given a astronomical quote that I knew was phony. Wont worry about going there again
Was going to leave a very harsh comment, but nothing ever changes anyway. Strike three, your out.
Incredible people great costumer service was a really great life savior if you read this review i recommend you go because it is all afforsable prices
They charged me $545 for a tire replacement and and another small issue when I took my car in for an inspection... The TOTAL was $ 845! And when I was paying I told them I would NEVER bring my car here again! The answer was.. smiling!
I needed a good reliable mechanic and I found them at Tuckahoe. I have been going their for at least three or four years. The first time I when there, the deal was charging me over $800 to replace a coolant related component on my 06 Explorer. Tuckahoe did it for $400. They have always done above and beyond when I take my vehicles for regular maintenance as well as inspections. I decided to do a review to offset the negative reviews. If you take your car to the dealer, they always find something extra that needs correcting on Inspections. However, I feel that the staff at Tuckahoe has always been fair and honest with me. I will continue to used Tuckahoe Tire until they prove otherwise.
The guys are always kind, thoughtful and courteous!! Have taken care of my 2002 Honda for a number of years...highly recommend them!!
Twice now we have had a nail in our tire. Truly amazing service both times. Tire fixed and back on the road within 15 minutes of showing up!
There are a lot of car people around, but I trust Tuckahoe Tire. They do good work, go the extra mile to find the problem I report, and tell me only what needs to be done. And they work quickly. I recently forgot my wallet, and they told me to come back the next day or call to get it taken care of. Ive had a lot of bad experiences with car repair shops in town, but this is one of the good ones.
Several months ago i hit a CRATER (pot hole) on 76 that caused my front passenger tire to go flat. Insurance sent roadside to change out the flat with my donut.I was new to the area and decided to go to Tuckahoe Tire Country because frankly it was the only place I knew; I passed in front of it frequently taking the Patterson exit off 288 on my way home.I was in need of new tires anyway. What I hoped would be a set of 4 with an alignment ended up also being tire rods and a rim. (Yes... one helluva pot hole). The gentlemen were very respectful and their quote was more than fair (car repair, not my first rodeo). They reached out to a counterpart and found a rim for 1/4 of what a new one would have cost me. That day they rotated my rear tires to the front so that the donut would be on the back (front wheel drive) but advised that i wait to get my alignment AFTER the new tires were installed. I brought her back when the rim arrived and they put on a complete set of tires, replaced my tire rods, and also found a leak in my rear brakes (cant remember the name of the part)... and that made me feel really good because I KNEW I had a leak somewhere even though 2 other mechanics said my brakes were fine (brake fluid just doesnt disappear). I told them to change my front pads if they needed them. They told me my front looked almost new and that I didnt need new brakes (this honesty was a BIG DEAL for me!!!).A few months later my cars temperature gauge would climb while idling. I told them to go ahead and change the thermostat while they were in there, but they said it looked new, and no need to waste my money. Now Im looking at buying a used car that needs a water pump (awe$ome deal).Tuckahoe Tire doesnt know it yet, but Im having the car towed to their shop for repairs. Why? BECAUSE I TRUST THEM. They are not gonna change parts that dont need changing, their labor is incredibly reasonable, and their workmanship is Top Quality.I highly recommend Tuckahoe Tire Country. And I will continue to use them when I move to Midlothian next year. Ethical, Fair, Honest mechanics are damn near nonexistent these days.I am so grateful I found Tuckahoe Tire!Liz D.
I had a tire leaking air when I got to work on a Tuesday morning, so I called Tuckahoe Tire Country to see if they could look at it that day. They said they could look at it while I waited, estimating 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival, I was immediately told to drive my car up to the garage door, and a mechanic came out to take a look at my tire right away. They found a puncture that required a bit more time-intensive repair than a simple plug, but they still got me in and out in 30-40 minutes. They repaired the tire, took a screw out of another tire (no puncture), and checked the air pressure for all the tires. They only charged me for the plug in the one tire - about $37-$38. Quick service, fair pricing, and willing to answer all of my questions. Thank you!
Twice have taken my car in for an inspection and it failed there. Took it to another place and it passed with no problems
I have taken several cars there for both mechanical work and for state inspection. I have nothing bad whatsoever to report. Theyre always helpful and have done good work every time.
Second time here for state inspection and they failed for things that are not even on the inspection list. The guy was rude and I believe a little racist. Made me pay for rejected inspection and just plain disrespectful. Last time I brought a car to get inspected I was driving home and I noticed that my speedometer was not working, the red needle was underneath stuck in the neddle stoper and they did that on purpose just so I could come back and fixt it. I know because when I brought it, it was working. Hell no I did not come back my husband and I fixed it at home. It was done on purpose. Any way if you are latino or hispanic DO NOT GO HERE or if you are a woman for that matter. Anyway I WILL NEVER BRING ANOTHER CAR HERE AGAIN. Just because you work there doesnt make you better than others just so you know. I am so disappointed. I forgot to mention that when he told me it was rejected he threw my keys infront of me on the counter.
Came for a vehicle safety inspection and was turned away at the door.
Amazing fast service. I highly recommend this place.
Nice, well qualified people.
Read the reviews online after I was spoken stern to. In the store, started having regrets after reading them. Didnt really yield the results I had hoped for, but I would go there in a pinch.
Went there for inspection. Car was returned with the sound system not working. I called and after a couple minutes of ARGUING they said theyll fix it free of charge. When I got my car the back the second time speakers still didnt work and they refuse to fix it.
Didnt go there
Outstanding in all regards!
Great service
Yessir!
Another inspection story and how they try and get over on people. Just stay away. Ill never go back.
