Great Coffee and better Ice cream. When you combine both, you get a delicious drink! Service is slow but staff is very friendly. Out door seating is small and covered.
I was surprised by how much they offer! Ice cream, coffee, food, alcohol. Its also very covid friendly since (from what I could tell) its all outdoors with a covered patio. I got a Raspberry latte. It was yummy. Will definitely come back.
Outside dining only. Great food!! OK coffee. Fabulous icecream!! And dog and wheelchair friendly!
The staff was extremely friendly and the food was great. I got a Reeses milkshake and a hummus wrap. The warp ingredients were so fresh and the milkshake tasted amazing.
Been going here since I was little and has always loved it. Haven’t been back since the pandemic started but decided to stop by n support. I get what I usually get when I go to any coffee shop, Regular Cappuccino and it was horrible definitely not what I was used to when it came to crossroads coffee. So I asked if they could make me a new one after having one of the employees investigating me about where I get my coffee & what I usually get, she did. She really convinced me it was my taste buds but after making me a new I knew it was not. I’ve been a barista for 4 years, the expresso was over extracted and they refused to believe me when I told them so. Blaming it on my taste bud & suggesting that I should add sugar. Which is dumb because why would I lie. I got my refund & left. Don’t like the new staffs attitude & they don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to coffee
I am giving a 3 for a few options.Only having an egg patty as an option for egg was not appealing.I had a Caesar wrap very delicious however only half of my wrap had chicken, and some of it was burntThe coffee smoothie is absolutely amazing. It’s a little small in there but still has a nice ambiance.I would go again for the coffee but not the food.
We went there after wrkin nite shift and got.the grilled cheese, ultimate grilled cheese, mango smoothie and the chi tea..erthing was absolutely delicious
Looked for place near McGuire VA for lunch, perfect. Tried the blackened tofu Caesar wrap, amazingly good! Not one to order tofu. Fun vibe, Beatles music playing on patio, right along road, nothing fancy, yet good for quick bite. HUGE selection of breakfast and lunch items, bakery, beer, muffins, ice cream, all available all day. Ill be back.
Sooooooo good and everyone is so nice. Love the outdoor covered seating.
Great cold brew! Their baked goods are delicious. Highly recommend the everything bagel with tomato, Capers, basil and cream cheese! Their breakfast sandwiches are unfortunately a little bland. Parking is limited so recommended to order online for a quick pickup.
What a nice little coffee shop! The atmosphere is laid back and the staff is super friendly. The decor is eclectic and fun. They have some gluten free options to go along with your favorite coffee also. Parking was a little challenging and when you sit outside, the traffic can get a little loud but not enough to harm a conversation.
This is a pretty cute, rustic-looking spot for ice cream and coffee lovers. The staff is very friendly as well and it offers a few details that other coffee shops dont, such as a nice projector-powered screen or an arcade console with a few games. Their ice cream is bought out from a local store (Bevs ice cream), so its an excellent way of helping local businesses too!
French vanilla and Kona are my favorites 😋coffee ☕is great!
Quirky cozy place. Converted gas station with concrete floors. My mocha was excellent! Blackened chicken ceasar wrap was very good as well. Desserts look amazing. People are getting to go and sit down orders. Busy but still quick on my service. Several people are settled in having mini meetings or just relaxing. Comfortable atmosphere to relax in.
The milkshakes were really good along with the wraps. The baked items were also very tasty. You should definitely eat here
I worked here for a few months and bot howdy it was a fun job. I miss it. The owners are kind and seem to really care that their staff is happy.
Ive always stuck to Blanchards & Whisk (which are amazing dont get me wrong) but wow is Crossroads my new favorite! Coffee is delicious, I love the River City Float (with coffee oreo ice cream) and the baked goods are yummy too! The people are always so kind and service is quick!
Great cold brew and wonderful muffins - our group tried the chocolate, blueberry, and the pumpkin w/ cream cheese - all were exceptional.
I love the ice coffee and bagles
Cute off the path spot For good coffee
The BLT is amazing, the carrot cake is even better 😉
Friendly staff decent coffee
Ive been going here like, forever, and its my fav resteraunt/cafe. Unfortunately, since theres covid, we cant go inside, but the owner also got some arcade machines, so thats cool.
I grew up 2 blocks away from Crossroads and it’s been great having this haunt in the neighborhood. The coffee/tea are great. The food (BEC sammy, esp) is delightful. The locals are friendly. More than anything (in my opinion), the staff is delightful. The virus has really thrown the food industry for a loop, so get your morning brew (Wed-Sun) here and support this worthy local establishment!
Visited in January of 2021 and experienced a very welcoming staff and pleasant dining experience with ample social distancing and delicious food! The bagels are great and the coffee is too!
Delicious breakfast burrito!
Best coffee and ice cream in the city!!
Wonderful coffee and treats! Cute little shop and outdoor seating.
Ok. I LOVE this place.Random little coffee shop that also serves baked goods, wine, and beer. In fact they have a draft and bottled beer selection that is insanely large for how small of an interior space they actually have.Sure, you could dine it, but Id recommend taking your beverage and pastry outside and enjoy the breeze during the spring/summer months.
The vanilla chai late and breakfast burrito were to die for.The order/pick up window make covid precautions very smooth.
This ice cream is so darn good glad I have it a try!
Wonderful venue that is ran beautifully. The outdoor area is spaced gorgeously.
One of my favorite places to eat in Richmond because of their excellent vegan and gluten free options. Desperately need these guys to sign on with Grubhub, uber eats, DoorDash, etc. because I’d be ordering from them every single day. Actually- if anyone is reading this message please bring me a v+gf chocolate chip cookie, loaded bagel, a bag of chips and an almond milk mocha. Tyvm.
Quick and courteous service. A nice friendly location for a fresh, healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner. I had the orange muffin and the English breakfast tea w/honey this morning. Very good!!! I woke up today with a sore throat this morning now Im much better after drinking the tea. I would recommend The Crossroad to anyone.
I thought the burrito was pricey but it was stuffed and yummy 😋
I’m still thinking about that loaded bagel 🤤
Great place to hang out.
God bless the barristas during a pandemic. They take care of you so take care of them in kind.
So glad Crossroads has reopened! Everything is as tasty as before the lockdown. Wish they allowed customers to use the restroom.Previous review: I miss Crossroads pumpernickel bagel & great coffee. A local small business that was family & pet-friendly. Relaxed vibe, yummy food & decent prices. Heres hoping that Crossroads reopens soon!
Love everything about this place. Breakfast burrito is excellent!!
Quaint unique place. Nice interior with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff..seemed a bit cross to be honest. Got some water to go with my food & saw it was full of dirt, debris and hair, an unpleasant surprise. Ice cream was good, though the selection is much smaller than I would expect from a place that has Ice Cream in the name.
I am shocked at how amazing the food is at the little coffee shop! I hope nobody Take this the wrong way, because it kind of appears like a little bit of a hole in the wall, but then when you go in it feels so welcoming, but at the same time a hip vibe! Definite great place to come with friends and family ...plus they have live music!
Great place
No real organization inside as to where to order. I was behind one person in line and somehow 3 other people ordered before me. They microwave their food.If you dont drive a Prius or a Subaru Forrester this place probably isnt for you.I didnt end up ordering anything due to the chaos and confusion.I recommend going down to campus waffle instead.
Nice neighborhood spot. Im not a coffee drinker but I love their breakfast burritos and teas. The golden latte is also really yummy. They have pretty cool music here many evenings. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the outside area is dog friendly.
Delish cappuccino and friendly service
Full menu back, covid protocals observed, friendly service for food beer wine spirits
Third time that theyve either added a tip to my takeout food or asked if we wanted our dollar change back. Server of many years here and am very generous with in-house orders. When I called about the discrepancy between my receipt and what was charged, the manager told me they could have just punched in the wrong buttons and to bring my bank statement up there. Big bummer since it was one of my favorite local hangouts. 😞
Funky little place with a very relaxed atmosphere. They have everything from beer to ice cream. Good food and even better coffee.
Great coffee! Cute hipster, artsy vibes here. We went on a Friday morning and they have live music then! Seating is a little tight in there though so it felt a bit stuffy. Otherwise great! 👍🏼
Crossroads really hit the spot after a day-long bike ride exploring Richmonds awesome trail system. I had the corned beef, coleslaw, and thousand island on Rye. The patio and airy environment were the perfect compliment to the weather that day, and the relaxed yet attentive care I received at the register really put me at ease. Id also like to compliment the staff on their musical tastes. Crossroads has something for everyone; Ice Cream, Smoothies, Sandwiches, Beer, and Coffee! I cant wait to stop in for a banana, chocolate and peanut butter milkshake. Next time I am in the area, guaranteed!
My favorite coffee shop in Richmond. This is my second time here. Try their Carrot Bran early in the morning. It’s super fresh and very tasty just like other things they make.. They have old school arcade game tables as well. I just feel happy here :)
Always a pleasure stopping in to Crossroads, whether it is to grab a beer, a coffee, a bite to eat, or even to see a show. Its a small place but there is indoor and outdoor seating. They offer a fine selection of roasts from Rostovs and a well curated beer selection. Fear not, they are not an all IPA all the time kind of place. The food is good and you can feel the community vibe.
This rating is not based upon the business itself but the inconsideration of the customers . I understand our neighborhood has street parking but shouldnt the residents of this community be able to park somewhat near their homes. This business has great parking available but even when they arent packed some customers still park and block our steps and walkways. We think this is a nice feature to the neighborhood however since we respect each other it would be nice if the visitors of this business respected us. Thank you.
Very good service. I love the atmesphere as well. Great place for anyone to hang out but 20s 30s and 40s definitely. I have not eaten here but they do have food and baked goods. They also serve beer. As a self proclaimed coffee connoisseur, they are not my favorite. Coffee is over priced for what you are getting. If it was a little better quality and made by the cup...pour over..that would justify the hefty price tag. Its not bad coffee but taste wise on par with higher end convenience store brew. Over all its an awesome part of my neighborhood.
Good for what it sets out to be.But if you drive a pickup, you might want to encase it in bubble wrap and lube before you try to slip it into any of the tiny, precious few parking places. And street parking is not an option.Tucked into a little alcove across from Forest Hill Park, its an okay place to hit if you happen on it by chance, but as a destination from other parts of town, probably a tossup.Still, I would drive across town before setting foot inside a Starbucks.(Originally posted to Yelp 10-12-2015)
I love this place. The baristas are laid back, down to earth people. Good coffee, ice cream, and snacks. Will, the owner is a connoisseur of craft beers and will gladly give recommendations for his top picks of their current draft list.
Great community space with a little bit of everything for everyone. Food, beer, wine, coffee, ice cream; they have it all. It can get really sparse for seating sometime but that is half the fun. Really awesome place.
I freaking love crossroads.
The coffee is good, the service is even better and the music nights are fun and interesting. They have something for everyone, even if you dont like coffee. Ill be coming here very frequently
Crossroads looks like its in what use to be a mechanics garage. One of the bay doors now serves as a large open air window. Both outdoor and indoor seating available. Theres a very good selection of sandwiches, sides, desserts, coffee drinks, milkshakes, smoothies, drafts, and wines. I ordered a club sandwich, which was delicious and served as a large portion. The sandwiches have the option of either fries or fruit (or pay a little more for different options). There are different events during the evenings, such as live music or karaoke. Definitely a creative, lively, and quirky atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.
Go for a walk in Forest Hill Park and then stop by this cool place. They do have great ice-cream and coffee, but also excellent food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Beer and wine. Casual and eclectic. Bring your dog. They are welcome in the outdoor covered seating area. Limited indoor seating. Entertainment most evenings. A gem.
Good cappuccino and bagel
Always a great time at Crossroads Cafe! Delicious food for reasonable prices and excellent service.
This place has the best soup I have had in a long time Mission Point sweet potato coconut milk cilantro etc etc. Wonderful homemade cuisine
I have lived in Richmond for 7 years now and I absolutely love Crossroads. They have amazing coffee choices and the ice cream is so delicious. No business is perfect, but this business comes close.I used to love spending days at their old location, near VCU campus, studying. I honestly miss how homely it is and the new owners/business that took it over a few years ago made it so sterile feeling. So, know that when you come here youre participating in a piece of true Richmond culture. The people are tatted and pierced, the coffee is fantastic, and the ice cream is beautiful! #Love.
Just stopped by for coffee. Parking was a little tight, wife ran in to get my coffee. Even though she said it was a light roast it was still a little to dark for my taste.
One of my favorites! Great coffee & fantastic food! Lots of healthy &vegetarian/vegan friendly options! All-day breakfast! Very customizable! An egg and cheese on whole wheat toast and a cold brew is my go-to.
Friendly staff and njce cozy place for ice cream or coffee. They do have beer on tap as well and some food options. They usually squeeze a band inside certain days for live music. Can get busy and be tight for paeking. Worth the stop though.
Great neighborhood coffee shop that also doubles as an Ive cream parlor and triples as a bar! Its the best of all worlds! Try a beer float with the chocolate malted espresso ice cream and a stout beer... So good!
Awesome!! Arcade game tables, lounge area with small book library, outside seating separate from smoking area all very welcoming. They also have different baked goods every week and cool local products. Their coffee is always amazing, as are their coffee smoothies. And a delicious selection of food!
This is a great local business with some awesome food choices and great service. It appeals highly to the hipster crowd, but they treat you great no matter who you are. This place is kid and dog friendly, and has a great selection of craft beers and ice cream. They also have a growler if you want to take some beer that you like home.
This place is awesome. Reminds me of home! And they love dogs!
A small local coffee shop that serves fresh baked goods and amongst other things like: ice cream, smoothies, sandwiches, and beer/wine. They host events, which I had the pleasure of attending a few and I would love to come back more often!
Crossroads is the best cafe in Richmond! Great coffees, teas, and smoothies, amazing soups, and really delicious sandwiches. Oh, and they serve wine and beer! Always good selections on tap. They also play great music and have a super pleasant, dog-friendly patio. At night they have lots of live tunes and other events, and the staff is friendly, with great service and always a welcoming vibe. If they start seeing you in there repeatedly, theyll be sure to learn your name and welcome you when you come in. If you have kids, they even have childrens books and table arcade games to keep your little tykes occupied. Go check it out!
They are doing the best they can. Support local or all we will have left is Starbux on every corner and their terrible burnt tasting coffee which is overpriced beyond any reasonable measure of the imagination. I like Crossroads because they support local musicians also

Food is excellent. A bit of a wait, but it was busy. Nice atmosphere. Wait staff could be a little friendlier.
Great Chai Latte and the Honey Honey ice cream was subtly delicious. The giant eclair was disappointing. Dog friendly patio, fun and friendly staff.
One of my favorite little discoveries South of the James. Great health and casual meals, wonderful coffee and milk shake, nice beer and wine selections. But above it all is the fun, not too loud, entertainment that youll find here.
I feel like I dont come here often enough. The staff is super friendly and cool. The place is always clean. Food is great and they have beer! Bagels are free Cupertinos which is the best place to get bagels from around here.
Great neighborhood coffee shop in a great location. I love biking here on sunny Sundays for a beer and a bagel with lox and the works. They always have a varied and large draft beer list, plus a large selection of bottles and cans. They use Cupertino’s bagels, very much to their credit. They also have ice cream and pastries, which I do my best to avoid for the sake of my waistline.
Food sucks. Everything else is great! I mean, the stuff in the case is good. Just dont let them make you anything to eat besides an ice-cream cone.
This place makes me feel good every time I stop by. Its the great vibe created by the staff and atmosphere. You will love the coffee and the food. Easily 5 stars!
