I absolutely adore Urban Hang Suite. It’s truly a gem in the heart of Richmond, VA. The staff is so welcoming, polite and accommodating. I’ve gone there to handle business and social events, the atmosphere is to versatile. If you’re looking for well-run and black owned business to frequent, look no further.

I always use door dash to pick up my moms coffee at this shop. Turns out we were ordering wrong the whole time and costing them money. Today they finally told me the proper way to order her espresso and they were SO NICE about it! They were polite and didn’t seem upset at all. This could have been ugly at other establishments. So I appreciate those small details and great customer service.

Very cool laidback spot with some of the best cold brew ever. Service was very friendly and I’ve never seen such care put into a small breakfast sandwich. Highly recommend!

Just want to say I usually love this place. I came to pick up a coffee a friend ordered me and not only was the male staff member making my coffee RUDELY talking about previous customers out loud, his coffees come out watery and inconsistent. I’ve been to other local places and baristas have NEVER done that. I want to come back, but not if I’m going to be talked loudly and rudely about by that man

I walked in and said hello. The girl barely gave me eye contact. Stood there for a second and none cared to see if I wanted anything or to even acknowledge me. So I left. I so badly wanted this to be an experience but I wont spend my money and time where Im not even acknowledged.

Homey, great food. Ordered through GrubHub (DoorDash says Im too far away here in Westover) and its great to be able to get breakfast anytime theyre open. Super affordable as well. Great bagel and really good lox. BLT on a croissant and tuna sandwich were also really good. This will be a go-to for the future!

Great space inside and great coffee from another RVA favorite, Lamplighter. Come in for a quick espresso and pastry or stay for some classic breakfast or lunch items. Definitely Richmond through and through. Also, theyre open on the weekends and in the evening, unlike other coffee spots in the city.

This was a very cool spot. The food was healthy and cheap. I ordered two bowls and two teas for about $28. I was really surprised by how flavorful my food was and it was warm. Too many people do cold bowls but I always prefer mine warm so this was a nice change. The environment is really relaxing. There were TVs to watch, games to play, and relaxing seating. My one complaint is that there is no privacy and the area is pretty close quarters. It was nice to be around so many people of color too. I definitely plan on returning as soon as I get a chance. This may become my new lunch spot. As a final note, parking is limited so be prepared to walk a few blocks for free parking or pay hourly for nearby parking.

Yes. Just... everything is a yes.Staff (maybe owner) member can be a bit cold, never rude though. You can tell they’re stressed which is understandable- Being a business owner is not easy. Being a business owner during a pandemic is harder. And being a business owner in the city during an impactful protest era must be even harder. Support small businesses, support your community, and always be kind.

So cute! Good coffee, but was surprised that I had to ask for milk for my coffee. They pointed me to a counter where they had those little pods of half and half you get at McDonalds. I asked for real milk and the server handed me a gallon container out of the fridge, completely unopened. It seemed strange to crack the safety seal myself in a cute coffee house with $3 coffee. Maybe its new and they need to work out some kinks? Definitely will keep trying; the staff was sweet and it was too adorable not to give it a few more tries.

Really cool local spot in RVA. Recently went for a wine tasting. Cool owners, chill atmosphere, friendly staff. Did not get a chance to try food there yet but will be on the lookout for more events there.

One of my favorite locations to host an afternoon meeting or take someone new to RVA out for coffee. Kelly and the staff have managed to create an atmosphere that feels super cool and super comfortable at the same time. Coffee and food is good, but not the reason you go. You show up to feel inspired, run into Richmonds movers and shakers, or enjoy any of the amazing programming offered throughout the week. Also Kelly Lemon is a local treasure and anything we can do to support her work is good business. Go hang, its dope.

Has a very European, underground feel. Seating is kind of on top of each other which is part of the charm, just be prepared. Kind staff and good service.

This is a dope little coffee shop. The vibe is welcoming and the staff create an instant feeling of “you belong here.” The food options are spot on and coffee selection is on point. The decor is fashionably barn-like, rustic, with a combination of urban flare. Together this creates the perfect environment for studying, meeting up with friends, or just relaxing with a new book. I’ll be visiting again soon for all of these reasons.

GOOGLE AUTOCOMPLETED ME TO URBAN HANG SUITE AND I DIDNT NOTICE.I got to participate in the soft opening tonight, and I cant wait to go back. The decor is fun and worth walking around to take in. The serving sizes are plentiful and very reasonably priced. I had the cheezburger and my wife had the BBQ tofu potato bowl, and both were amazing. I cant wait to go back as the soft opening progresses. Even toddlers like it!

We went for RVA Makers, which unfortunately didnt have much of a turn out as far as vendors.The atmosphere was great--the walls of the back section are covered in VIBE and Richmond magazines. There were incredible paintings, too. Whoever the artist is has talent.The chai my partner ordered was incredibly weak. Unfortunately, we had taken it to go, so we didnt have an opportunity for them to correct it.

Being that its Richmond Black Restaurant Week and they were a participant, I decided to try it out. No one greeted us. Therw were no prices on the board. When asked how much was the items the response was I dont know. The customer service and hospitality was non-existent. My experience was very disappointing to say the least.

The vibe there is perfect. The music is always great (jazz, rnb, chill hiphop, throwbacks), the workers are super friendly and the service is great. Also its just decorated in such an inviting way. I just love it in there! And I recommend the Matcha Latte, good GOD its so good.
